Abstract The notion of Befindlichkeit in Heidegger’s phenomenological way. Heidegger’s phenomenology of Befindlichkeit and the different kinds of affection was initiated still before Being and Time, and developed in its essential features till the end of the 1930’s. The current paper argues that, since its very origins in a philosophical framework, back to the translation of the affectiones in Augustine, the notion of Befindlichkeit sets the beginning of a structural understanding of existence - displayed both at the ontological levei of Grundstimmungen (such as anguish, boredom or reservedness), and at the ontic level of different factual Stimmungen. Any comprehensive analysis of those affections counts on a tripie background with a Wovor, a Worum and the full-fledged exercise (Vollzug) of such and such affective understanding. In Being and Time this analysis is dedicated to fear, in its different nuances. But this phenomenon was already dealt with in Heidegger’s Lectures on Augustine (1921) and will reoccur in the Beiträge (1936-38). A reading of this conceptual evolution will here ground a defense of the phenomenological character of Heidegger’s way of thinking.

Z miłością-<em>dilectio</em>, czyli miłością wła­ściwą dla bytów rozumnych, wiązać się będzie w tekstach Tomasza z Akwinu ciekawy i rzadko podejmowany przez tomistów temat aktów woli analogicz­nych do uczuć, które Tomasz zazwy­czaj nazywa <em>affectiones</em>. W ten sposób odróżnia je od uczuć – <em>passiones </em>– któ­re stanowią zareagowanie pożądania zmysłowego na ujęcie w poznaniu zmy­słowym takiegoż samego, czyli zmysło­wego, dobra lub zła. <em>Affectiones </em>są reak­cjami woli na dobro lub jego brak, czyli zło, ujęte intelektualnie. Jednak­że, zgodnie z podstawowymi tezami Tomaszowej antropologii, dotyczącymi duchowo-cielesnej jedności osobowego bytu ludzkiego, tak strukturalnej jak i funkcjonalnej, <em>affectiones </em>zazwyczaj to­warzyszą <em>passiones </em>i – jak się wydaje – albo to one pociągają za sobą zmysły, albo też zmysły skłaniają wolę do skie­rowania się ku postrzeganemu przez nie dobru. Same <em>affectones </em>są prostsze od uczuć, tak jak wola jest prostszą władzą pożądawczą od <em>appetitus sensitivus </em>– po­żądania zmysłowego. Zasługą Akwina­ty jest zwrócenie uwagi na różnorod­ność aktów woli. Miłość-<em>dilectio </em>stanowi <em>simplex motus voluntatis</em>, ale funkcjonując na sposób miłości, wyzwala wszystkie właściwe za­reagowania podyktowane stosunkiem pożądania do pożądanego dobra. Pra­gniemy naszego dobra, gdy jest nieobec­ne, radujemy się, gdy je posiadamy i smu­cimy, gdy zostanie utracone. W przypadku człowieka to przeżywanie ma również swój aspekt organiczny. Nie jest on jednak oddzielony od całości ludzkiego <em>compositum</em>. Wola wpływa na uczucia, pociąga je za sobą, wprzęgając w swoje cele. Może być też odwrotnie: wola ulega uczuciom, dążąc swoją mocą do wskazywanych przez nie celów. Wszystkie te trzy sytuacje Tomasz okre­śla mianem <em>affectiones</em>. Oczywiście mia­no to dotyczy w nich ich wolitywnego komponentu.

Phenomenologists turn to Augustine to remedy the neglect of life, love, and language in the Cartesian cogito: (1) concerning life, Edmund Husserl appropriates Augustine’s analysis of distentio animi, Edith Stein of vivo, and Hannah Arendt of initium; (2) concerning love, Max Scheler appropriates Augustine’s analysis of ordo amoris, Martin Heidegger of curare, and Dietrich von Hildebrand of affectiones; (3) concerning language, Ludwig Wittgenstein appropriates Augustine’s analysis of ostendere, Hans-Georg Gadamer of verbum cordis, and Jean-Luc Marion of confessio. Phenomenology’s non-Cartesian Augustinianism can tell us something about phenomenology, namely that it is engaged in the project of recontextualizing the cogito, and something about Augustine, namely how radically different his project is than Descartes’s. Phenomenology presents an Augustine that is well positioned for the debates of our times concerning mind and world, desire and the human person, and language and embodiment.

Escoto es uno de los pensadores medievales que con más fuerza afirmó la especificidad de lo libre en las potencias del alma, distinguiéndolo netamente de lo natural. Llevó su postura hasta ciertas conclusiones que parecieron demasiado atrevidas, incluso para autores intelectualmente muy cercanos. Por eso, se le ha presentado a veces como un precedente de la visión moderna de la libertad como autonomía absoluta. Este artículo se acerca a su pensamiento, repasando tres aspectos de su propuesta que permiten ofrecer una visión más completa de su idea de libertad: la relación entre objeto conocido y acto de la voluntad, la doctrina de las affectiones de la voluntad y la consideración de la plenitud de la voluntad en la beatitudo. Se repasan varios debates actuales sobre el pensamiento de Escoto, con el objetivo de extraer algunos elementos que puedan servir para una exposición sistemática de la cuestión.

Este artigo apresenta uma revisão bibliográfica crítica sobre as características centrais da doutrina medieval das paixões de Agostinho e Tomás de Aquino. Os filósofos da Idade Média explicavam os fenômenos afetivos sob a perspectiva cristã, além de especulações corporais físicas e éticas derivadas das obras gregas clássicas. Assim como nos textos helênicos que a precederam, o termo “emoções” não foi utilizado na doutrina clássica latina, nem tampouco na Bíblia. As principais palavras utilizadas por Agostinho e Aquino derivam-se de passiones e affectiones animae. Para a linguagem teológica cristã, as paixões são estados degenerados e conflituosos do ser humano decorrentes da punição pela desobediência de Adão e Eva perante Deus, ou seja, frutos do pecado original. Nesse sentido, Aquino descreve 11 espécies de paixões – seis do apetite concupiscível e cinco do apetite irascível – definidas como movimentos do apetite sensitivo provenientes das partes inferiores da alma, acompanhados de alterações corporais ou orgânicas, que correspondem, respectivamente, ao declínio da alma e a desobediência do corpo do homem “caído”.

Numerous surgical affections are common among sheep and goats in different localities all over the world which may cause economic losses and most of these affections are curable. This study is especially for eye injuries in sheep and goats, which were recorded in two year from October 2017 to October 2019 in different farms belonging to Public authority for agriculture affairs and fish resources - Kuwait City, Kuwait. Thirteen different surgical affections were recorded in sheep and 11 in goat. In sheep keratoconjunctivitis, pick eye and hyphemai were the highest (12.90%) affection followed by 9.68% affection of coreal dermoid cyst, nictate gland and cherry eye. In goat Keratoconjuctivitis was recorded as highest (20%) eye affections followed by eye tumor (13.33%), pink eye, cherry eye, hyphemai, corneal dermoid cyst and nictate gland (each 10%). Cataract was found in both sheep and goat with 6.45 & 6.67% respectively. However Keratoconjuctivitis was the most common eye surgical affection in both sheep and goat in Kuwait city.

Lately revealed new data on neurogenetics of perinatal affections of central nervous system (CNS). The degree of genetic determination of perinatal affections of CNS is not similar in different cases and might vary in wide ranges. Prematurity is main mechanism of genetic predetermination of perinatal affections of CNS. Beside direct affection to brain, all main ethio-pathogenetic factors of hypoxia-ischemic affections of CNS (hypoxia, malnutrition of pregnant, stresses, smocking, alcohol-drug abuse, prematurity) can cause epigenetic changes of neuro-expression with forming cerebral phenotype, which is sensitive to perinatal affections. So new data obliges to change approaches to prevention of perinatal affections of CNS.

AARONG dairy area of Pabna comprises a major part to meet the demand of milk and meat production in Bangladesh. Various diseases including surgical affections reduce the fitness, efficiency and productivity of cattle in this area. There is a need to investigate the occurrence of surgical diseases to take proper preventive measures. Therefore, the prevalence of surgical affections of cattle was studied in four Upazilas of Pabna from December 2012 to May 2013. A total of 2390 cattle from different households were included and surgical affections were recorded. The overall prevalence was 44.3% in stall feeding system, among which surgical affections were more prevalent in Sujanagar Upazilas (13.3%), and the highest prevalent surgical affection was foot diseases (8.2%) followed by navel ill (6.3%), myiasis (4.6%), arthritis, hernia and wounds (3.6%). Overall prevalence of surgical affections was slightly higher in female cattle in comparison to males The prevalence of navel ill (11.3%), foot disease (11.1%), hernia (6.1%) and horn affections (4.9%) were found to be higher in male. Whereas, myiasis (5.9%), upward patellar fixation (2.8%) were found to be higher in females. There is significant (P<0.01) difference in the prevalence of hernia, upward patellar fixation, horn affection, foot diseases and myiasis between male and female. It was also observed that cattle of 0-1 year was affected more frequently with surgical affections (18.7%) among which prevalence of navel ill (15.5%), hernia (8.3%), myiasis (5.4%) and foot diseases (5.3%) were higher. In addition, foot disease was more prevalent surgical affection in cattle of more than one year. Moreover, significant variation (P<0.01) was existed in the prevalence of upward patellar fixation, foot diseases, arthritis and wounds among three age groups. However, results of the present study indicate that there is a strong relation among the prevalence of surgical affections, sex and age of animals. This article sought to analyze the affections, considered bad and good, according to the theories of Winnicott and Espinosa, in a comparison and differentiation, considering their implications for child development in the relationship between parents and children. The research was developed in the bibliographic field. Where the present article analyzed several literatures that approach the subject in a rich way and with intellectual credibility. The concept of affection in Winnicott and Espinosa is basically exposed, as affections imply in child development, in the case of the phase in which the child is in a greater dependence on care. The theme is presented in three categories, in the first a conceptual analysis of affection in the authors mentioned above, in the second its importance for child development, under a positive prism and in the third and last part it is exposed about negative consequences due to bad affections. Finally, the final considerations were presented, pointing out the need to establish a less frustrating environment for better child development.

Pigs are fertile, prolific breeders, and efficient meat converters. However, surgical affections pose a threat to their well-being and productivity, potentially leading to culling or death. This study has been conducted to explore the occurrence of surgical affections among pigs and their associated risk factors. A cross-sectional study conducted in seven communities in Rajshahi, Bangladesh, looked for surgical affections in 47 pigs. SPSS-25 was used to analyze the data. The prevalence of surgical affection was identified as 72.3% (in males: 79.41% and in females: 20.59%). The common surgical affections were wound 57.4%, abscess 36.2%, hemorrhage 12.8%, inflammation 14.9%, tumor 6.4%, and myiasis 6.4% regardless of age, sex, or body weight. According to age, the affections were observed as 2.94%, 5.88%, 35.29%, 26.47%, 8.82%, 14.71%, and 5.88% at the age of 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, and 13 months respectively. Surgical affections were calculated as 25%, 57.14%, 10.71%, and 7.14% whenever the body weight of the animals was <10 kg, 10–15 kg, 16–20 kg, and >20 kg consecutively. The study found no significant relationship between pig sex/age and surgical affections, except for body weight versus abscess and incised wound. Management factors like intensive housing, unhygienic environments, rope tying, lack of awareness, and insufficient veterinary supervision exacerbated surgical affections. The study’s findings, despite being limited by sample size, age, and data collection time, serve as a baseline for further research on swine surgical affections.

The purpose of this paper is to investigate what are Jonathan Edwards’ (1703–1758) “religious affections” and “distinguishing marks” for judging the genuineness of affections, and to evaluate the revival experience of Korean missionary Robert A. Hardie (1865–1949), who initiated the Korean Great Revival (1903–1910) in view of Edwards’ religious affections. Edward’s book, Treatise Concerning Religious Affections, was written in the historical background of the Great Awakening of the early 1740s, and the concept of religious affections originated from his personal experience in childhood and from the influence of John Locke’s empiricism. Rejecting the positions of the revivals of his day as unshackled emotionalism, Edwards defended revivalism by emphasizing the significance of “spiritual sensation”. However, he believed that revivals must be evaluated for their genuineness in terms of religious affections and suggested distinguishing marks to assess whether revival experiences were true or not. A number of descendants of the Great Awakening came to Korea as missionaries and contributed to the Korean Great Revival. In particular, Hardie’s repentance started the revival and the revival movements spread to the whole country in a similar pattern. This paper suggests that Hardie’s revival experience proves to be true gracious affection in light of Edwards’ distinguishing marks.

Résumé Jusqu’à maintenant, la prévalence des affections comorbides chez les patients asthmatiques a peu été étudiée. En utilisant des données administratives transversales de 1996-1997 fournies par les services de santé de la Colombie-Britannique , nous avons comparé cette prévalence avec celle de la population adulte en général, grâce à l’aide d’une méthode d’identification des affections comorbides normalisée, le système de classement des maladies Adjusted Clinical Group (ACG). Nous avons également dressé le portrait du fardeau de la comorbidité chez les enfants asthmatiques. Les adultes asthmatiques sont significativement plus à risque de présenter diverses affections comorbides, notamment des infections respiratoires, une rhinite allergique et huit affections chroniques ayant des répercussions importantes et une prévalence élevée (ACRIPE). Un adulte asthmatique sur quatre souffre de dépression, l’ACRIPE la plus fréquente. Le fardeau de la comorbidité est plus faible chez les enfants asthmatiques, mais 12,6 % sont atteints d’une affection chronique, stable ou non, l’ACRIPE la plus fréquente étant aussi la dépression. Le fardeau de la comorbidité chez les adultes asthmatiques est lourd et complexe, en particulier en ce qui a trait aux affections chroniques multiples. Nous traitons des conséquences de ce fardeau sur la planification et la prestation de services de santé.

Pre-pubic tendon rupture is an often affection in mares, rarer in ewes and cows because of an additional connection of the pre-pubic tendon found in these species. Etiology of this affection is not completed elucidated, but it is associated with many gestation affections. Treatment is usually unsatisfactory. This report aims to describe principle clinical and anatomopathologyc findings in an ewe at the fifth month of gestation with pre-pubic tendon rupture. Bad general clinical status led to euthanasia. Clinical and anatomopathological findings are consistent with pre-pubic tendon rupture. The report of this case works as an alert to the possibility of the occurrence of this affection in ewes and demonstrate a necessity to the parturition assistance of these animals.

Without questioning Hutcheson's general affinities with the Stoics, this article focuses on two important differences in moral psychology that show the limits of the appropriation of Stoicism in Hutcheson's ethics of benevolence. First, Hutcheson's distinction between calm affections and violent passions does not fully match with the Stoic distinction between constantiæ and perturbationes, since the emotion of sorrow remains in Hutcheson's table of the calm affections. As far as sorrow as a public affection is concerned, this first point is tied to a second point, which Hutcheson highlights himself: His conception of virtue as benevolence and the general importance of the public affections seem to be in conflict with a Stoic conception of virtue as an internal good, since the happiness of others, which is the object of both Hutchesonian benevolence and the public sense, is external for the Stoics.

La prise en charge des troubles mentaux résultant d’une affection génétique reste complexe actuellement. D’une part, l’offre de soins psychiatriques spécifique destinée à ces populations particulières est quasiment inexistante et, d’autre part, le diagnostic d’une affection somatique qui est à l’origine des symptômes psychiatriques n’est pas souvent posé si les points d’appel cliniques somatiques ne sont pas au premier plan. La question de l’organicité des troubles mentaux est pourtant majeure puisque 6 % des psychoses seraient secondaires à une affection organique. Il s’agit essentiellement de psychoses observées dans un cadre syndromique. Notons ici qu’il est également fort probable que certaines psychoses isolées (non syndromiques) aient une composante constitutionnelle, c’est-à-dire que leur survenue pourrait être favorisée par une constitution génétique particulière. La méconnaissance d’une pathologie sous-jacente à des troubles d’allure psychiatrique peut induire une véritable « perte de chance » pour le patient. Parmi les affections somatiques responsables des troubles psychiatriques, les affections cytogénétiques (par exemple, la microdélétion 22q11, le syndrome de Prader-Willi ou le syndrome de Smith-Magenis…) occupent une place importante et restent parfois méconnues et difficiles à repérer. Les maladies héréditaires du métabolisme (comme la maladie de Wilson ou les troubles du cycle de l’urée…) sont également pourvoyeuses de troubles mentaux. Le point important est que certaines de ces affections sont accessibles à un traitement étiologique, d’autres pouvant bénéficier de soins de stimulation adaptés au déficit. Fort de ce constat, il nous est apparu important de pouvoir développer un outil en direction de ces patients afin d’organiser le dépistage, des soins spécifiques et des stratégies de réinsertion socio-professionnelle. Parallèlement, nous avons constaté que les patients déjà pris en charge pour une affection génétique en Centre expert ne bénéficiaient pas toujours de soins psychiatriques adaptés, faute de connaissance précise de leurs difficultés. Le « Centre régional de dépistage et de prise en charge des troubles psychiatriques d’origine génétique » s’est structuré à Lyon en décembre 2012 grâce au soutien de l’ARS Rhône-Alpes et à une collaboration étroite entre les services de psychiatrie et de génétique clinique. Ce centre accueille et évalue les patients selon un protocole particulier qui sera détaillé.

This article has as main objective to investigate art and the affection as options of will to power in the school inclusive process, having as theoretical reference, mainly, the thoughts of Deleuze and Guattari. The discussion begins in the conceptual formation of the notion affect (affection) and its other conceptual components that involve the will to power and the no representative thought. It is now necessary to include a new version of the register of a representative logic that encodes the subject's experience and reduces his/her affective power. In this perspective, the art as aesthetic experience is a way of amplifying power, once they are affected, they are empowered to a differentiated perspective in the means of conceiving and living life. The methodology is theoretical, with reflections on the affections in their relation with the deficient still to come? in the school, in its articulation with art and the aesthetic experience, and it involves the recognition of the social, psychological inequalities, among others. In this sense, art extends the affections, not only in the subjects under consideration, which possess a cultural background, but the appreciation depends on a sensible perception more than on a representative thinking.

The study was conducted from October 2018 to October 2019 in different farms belonging to Public authority for agriculture affairs and fish resources - Kuwait City, Kuwait in order to investigate surgical affection in camel. In this study we recorded 212 cases of common of surgical affections in camels. The incidence of recorded affections included: mandibular fracture 10.3%, cut tooth 8.4%, wound 8%, foreign body 7.5%, tumour 7.5%, dulaa inflammation 7%, uterus prolapse 5.6%, chronic mastitis 5.6%, metatarsus fracture 5.6%, dystocia 5.1%, deviation of the premaxilla and the nasal septum (wry face) 4.7%, rectal prolapsed 4.2%, lateral retropharyngeal lymph node abscess 2.8%, narrow valve 2.8%, umbilical hernia 2.8%, radius fracture 2.3%, femur fracture 2.3%, metatarsus fracture 1.8%, fetlock fracture1.8%, fetlock joint laxation 0.09%, rupture of the perineum 0.04%, intestines prolapsed 0.04%. In addition, the infection rate of females (66.6%) was higher than that of males (41%).

Although, major reproductive disorders greatly responsible for high economic loss in dairy goat and sheep, limited research have been done on the prevalence and current treatment practices of the reproductive disease in Kuwait. This study was designed to record the field surgical affections in sheep and goats in Kuwait city. The study was conducted from October 2017 to October 2019 in different farms belonging to Public authority for agriculture affairs and fish resources - Kuwait City, Kuwait. In this study different 140 cases of reproductive system affections in sheep and goats were recorded. Among the affections in both sheep and goats the highest affection was caesarean section (42.85%) followed by vaginal prolapsed (15.71%) and hernia (8.57%) (Table 2). Caesarean section and vagina prolapse affections were more in sheep than goat. Whereas hernia was more in goat than sheep (Table 2). Hermaphrodite and hypospadias were recorded in goat but not in sheep. Scrotal hernia was found in sheep but not in goat.

Psoriatic nail affection is difficult to diagnose, especially if there are no specific skin changes, and is resistant to traditional treatment methods. The absence of any reliable diagnostics criteria often results in diagnostics errors, inadequate treatment and reduced life quality. Goal. To assess the efficacy of Daivobet for isolated psoriatic nail affections based on optical coherent tomography. Materials and methods. The study involved 10 patients (4 male and 6 female) aged 19—38 (mean age: 27.5 years) including four subjects with isolated psoriatic nail affections (oil spots and dotty cavities on the nail plate) and six subjects with psoriatic nail affections with paronychias (psoriatic plaques and thimble symptom on the nail folds and adjacent skin). The area of the psoriatic affection of the nail plate was 30%—70%. The efficacy of Daivobet and nail condition was clinically monitored by using the optical coherent tomography method and recording the NAPSI index. Tests were performed prior to the treatment and 3 and 6 weeks after the treatment onset. Results. A positive trend with regard to psoriatic paronychia in the form of regressed infiltration was observed against the background of treatment by Week 3 of the treatment, and complete regression of eruptions was observed by Week 6. In all of the subjects, a healthy nail plate grew by 2—3 mm and complete regression of the dotty cavities was observed during Week 6 of the study, which correlated with the reduced PASI index and positive trends based on optical coherent tomography data.

Aims: To study the prevalence and pathology associated with septic eye affections in dogs of Jabalpur region. Place and Duration of Study: Veterinary Clinical Complex (VCC), College of Veterinary Science and A.H., Jabalpur and in private pet clinics of Jabalpur for period of seven months spanning from April 2024 to October 2024. Methodology: A total of 992 dogs were screened for eye affections. Amongst these, clinically 153 dogs had various eye affections and were included in the study. Eye swabs were collected aseptically from dogs suspected of having eye infections for bacterial isolation, identification and antibiotic sensitivity test (AST). Bacterial cultures were also subjected for molecular confirmation of the bacterial species. Results: Septic eye affections were observed in 70 dogs, with a prevalence of 45.75%. Male dogs (71.43%) and young dogs (up to 3 years) (44.28%) were more prone, with the Labrador Retriever breed most commonly affected, followed by non-descript breeds. A significant decrease in hemoglobin, packed cell volume, total erythrocyte count, monocytes and platelets was noted. The highest frequency of septic eye affections was recorded as conjunctivitis (35.71%). The most commonly isolated bacteria from septic eye affections were Staphylococcus spp. (57.69%), followed by Escherichia coli (11.53%). All Staphylococcus spp. and E. coli isolates tested positive for the genus-specific 16SrRNA gene using species-specific primers in PCR. Gentamicin, Chloramphenicol Amikacin and Erythromycin exhibited the highest sensitivity against all gram-positive bacteria, whereas Amoxiclav, Tetracycline, and Norfloxacin showed the highest sensitivity against all gram-negative bacteria. Conclusion: Conjunctivitis (35.71%) was found to be the most common septic eye affection and Staphylococcus spp. was highest among all the bacteria isolated from septic eye affections.

SUMMARYObjective — To asses the capacity of the Parental Bonding Instrument (PBI) to discriminate between normal subjects and clinical samples and between with different psychiatric diagnosis. Design — The present paper analyzes the studies published between 1979 and 1995, which have used the PBI in normal subjects and clinical samples and have reported the respective means and standard deviations obtained on the two PBI dimensions: affection and control. Multiple comparisons were carried out between the mean scores of affection and control of: 1) samples with the same psychiatric diagnosis (intragroup comparison); 2) samples with different psychiatric diagnoses (intergroup comparison); 3) normal subjects and clinical samples. Results — Of the 46 studies with normal and clinical subjects, 23 studies were selected for the analysis, reporting means and standard deviations and specifying the diagnostic criteria. Samples with the same psychiatric diagnosis had similar affection and control scores. With the exception of bipolar affective disorders and avoidant personality disorders, the prevalent parental style was for all diagnostic groups the affectionless control style. Within the affectionless control style, the PBI discriminated between panic attacks, borderline personality and drug addiction but not between schizophrenia, unipolar depression and anxiety disorder. The PBI discriminated also between normal subjects samples and samples with anxiety disorder, schizophrenia, bipolar affective disorder, personality disorder and drug addiction respectively. Conclusion — The results confirm previous suggestions from single studies that the perceived parental style as measured by the PBI can be considered a good predictor for the presence of psychiatric disorders excluding panic attacks, avoidant personality disorders and unipolar affective disorders. Although the different diagnostic groups do not differ in their perceived parental style (affectionless control), significant differences between some diagnostic groups within this category suggest that the PBI might have some specificity as well.

Objective. To study and assess the rates and degree of severity of early and late radiation complications in patients after application of preoperative radiation therapy in complex treatment of the patients, suffering cancer recti.
 Materials and methods. Analysis of the treatment results in 113 patients, suffering locally–advanced (сT3с–4N1–2M0) cancer recti, who have obtained preoperative oncotherapy in 2019–2022 yrs in the Department of Radiation Therapy of Zakarpattya Antitumoral Centre, was performed.
 Results. Most frequent early radiation affection was rectitis, which have occurred – in 86 (76,1%) patients of 113. Early radiation affections of the reproductive system organs were noted in 5 (4,4%) patients. Late radiation affections were registered in 9 (7,9%) patients, mostly frequent in the gut system – in 5 (4,4%) patients.
 Conclusion. Аnalysis of the complex treatment results, performed in 113 patients with cancer recti, have shown, that preoperative radiation therapy do not enhance the rate of occurrence of early radiation complications and hematological toxicity. The rate of early radiation affections was 76,1%, and of the late – 7,9%.

There are several conclussions: The level of affection of children in Cycle I there were 18 children 66.67%) reached the level of completeness ≥ 70, this means the child had not reached classical completeness and was in the Fair criteria. While in Cycle II there were 23 children who had reached mastery levels ≥ 70 (85.18%). So in Cycle II an increase in affection which has reached the Good category.</p>

The purpose of this research was to develop a measurement scale, the Pet Affection Scale (PAS), to understand owners’ personalities and attachment to their pets. The data were collected through two waves. There were 401 valid data collected from the first wave to develop the pet affection scale (PAS). An exploratory factor analysis (EFA) was tested, and three factors were extracted and identified as (1) joy, (2) anthropomorphism, and (3) protection, respectively. Furthermore, 901 valid data collected from the second wave were used to analyze and propose a research model to examine the PAS influence on the owners’ behavioral intention toward pet hotels. These research findings show that all three pet affections have positive significant effects on pet hotels’ behavioral intention. The implications, limitations, and future research of this research were suggested and discussed.

Little is known of the occurrence of surgical affections of cattle at the government veterinary hospitals of Bangladesh. This study was undertaken to determine the occurrence of surgical disorders in five Upazila Veterinary Hospitals (UVH) in greater Pabna administrative district. A total of 33,584 sick animals were investigated and the overall occurrence of surgical disorders is 12.9%. The most common surgical affection is navel ill (25.8%) followed by myiasis (13.0%), foot diseases (11.3%), arthritis (8.8%) and teat obstruction (8.4%). Navel ill, umbilical hernia, arthritis, horn affections, urolithiasis and tail gangrene are more common in male than female. Foot diseases, myiasis, upward patellar fixation and hip dislocation are more common in female than male. The present study intends to be a contribution to understand affections and emotions associated with female psychopathy. Although there are several studies aiming to understand psychopathy, there is still a gap in the integration of such a concept in affective dimensions, as well as a scarcity of surveys conducted in the female population. Sixty-three women confined to prison, located in the North region of Portugal, participated in this study. Participants were assessed using the Positive and Negative Affect Schedule (PANAS), the Levenson’s Self-Report Psychopathy Scale (LSRP), and the Hare’s Psychopathy Checklist–Revised (PCL-R). Results showed that only nine women presented moderate scores of psychopathy. Moreover, women with higher psychopathy scores revealed deficits in positive emotional abilities, and secondary psychopathy was related with predominance of negative affection. In the future, it would be useful to develop more effective instruments to assess emotions and affections in psychopaths.

Aim: To make natural development more exact to state the value of scientific prognostication of dia- stolic dysfunction with acute myocardial infarction without Q-wave after percutaneous intervention.materials and methods: 95 patients were subjected to coronography and revascularization of in- farct-related artery. The patients were divided into 2 groups depending on angiographic results with single and multivessel affection. during first 48 hours from the beginning of the disease they were under ECHO examination.Results: Left ventricle affections dF data were revealed relatively to heaviness of affection in cor- onary vessels without reliable differences in local and global contractility. Primordialy the 1 group contained 14 (54%) patients of I grade dd, 5 (19%) with II grade, 1 (8%) with III grade, 6 (19%) without dd. A year later: 18 (70%) with I grade dd, 3 (12%) with II, patients with III grade were not redictered, 5 (18%) without dd. In group 2 within first 48 hours 37 (54%) patients had I grade,25 (36%) II grade, 7 (10%) III grade. In a year there were 46 (67%) with I grade, 13 (19%) II grade, 3 (4%) with III grade dd, 7 (10%) without dd.Conclusions: Obtained data indicate of a higher sensitivity dependently dF ischemia.In contrast to myocardial infarction group with coronary bloodstream fully restored within short terms, in group with multivessel affections a more heavy dd data preserved longer, in spite of infarct related artery revascularization. Also unfavourable events were revealed.

Because of affections from fluctuation, the migration or reaction rate of bio-molecules is mainly related to the time-memory effect. This kinetic phenomenon is primarily dominated by dynamic ductility and molecular crowding in the solvent. These two important elements directly connect with the affections of the random force and systematic friction (ζ) in a real solvent. They can affect fluctuation characteristics of bio-molecules. Properties of bio-molecular kinetics are mainly submitted to the configuration quality and random collision. The multidimensional landscape must be needed in typical research processes for kinetics of bio-molecules. The random collision affection in the x dimension and the typical ductility for the free-energy surface in the Q dimension have been abstracted in our work. The two-dimensional generalized Langevin equation including fractional Gaussian noise or white noise is used to study the migration rate or the mean waiting time. The essential quality of the bio-molecules’ kinetic properties can be revealed by the comparative study between dynamic disorder (DD) and common diffusion. We have found that there are sharp dynamic differences between DD and normal kinetics. Moreover, dynamic ductility and solvent friction can lead to great affections to the bio-molecular dynamics.

This article explores, through group-interviews and in terms of peer-culture, the ways in which pupils negotiate experiences from school-excursions to three heritage sites, Vadstena Castle, a former Royal Castle connected to the royal dynasty of Vasa; Witches’ forest, the place for interrogation by torture and executions of nine women, accused of witchcraft in 1617, and Linköping Cathedral Ages at the visitor programs “Middle Ages in the Cathedral”. The article, which is part of a larger project on learning processes and historical sites, investigates how pupils collectively load the heritage site with values reflected in immersion by affections, and what significance immersion of affections can have on the pupils’ process of stock of knowledge. The following research questions are asked: What kind of affections are evoked? Which situations and circumstances during the visit at the heritage site, mould impressions and immersion in the collective recalling?
 By drawing on affection, peer culture and critical heritage studies’ verb “heritaging”, we have studied how the pupils collectively load the heritage sites with values reflected in immersion by affections, and what significance immersion of affections have on the pupils’ process of historical understanding. To understand how the heritage site in terms of a material and physical place loaded with narratives of the past affects the children, the analysis aimed to explore under what circumstances the immersion took place.
 The article localize three situations that led to surprise and thereby friction between the expected (the stock of knowledge) and what was experienced at the site (the immediate experience), namely conflicts caused by expectations and experiences at the site, conflict caused by replicas in relation to originals, and finally conflict between lived experiences and insights at the site.

The aim of the article is to show the connection between affection theory and romantic concepts of emotions (mesmerism and melancholy) in Artur Daniel Liskowacki’s 2007 novel Mariasz. By way of introduction, the author presents in brief the most important research on affective turn conducted in Poland and around the world, and also shows the possibilities of affective reading. The next part of the article is an interpretation of Mariasz. What is more, affection theory, as it is used in the novel, helps us to describe the ambiguous network of relations between the characters more fully and clearly, who experience similar affections, despite the temporal distance between them (romanticism and modernity). By analyzing Liskowacki’s novel we can identify the current relevance of the Romantic tradition in Polish literature after 1989, which is far from its martyrological connotations. Romanticism becomes a reference point for contemporary times, and original dialogues from that epoch allow the emotional nature of humans immersed in contemporary times to be described in full.

The explanatory dictionary of the Romanian Language offers the following definition of the notion of affect: emotional reaction with a strong and relatively short development. The notion of affect comes from the Latin affectionus, which has the meaning of emotional emotion, horror. Although the legislator does not indicate the types of affect, at the same time in psychology it is considered that it manifests itself under several types. The most common are anger, hatred, horror, fear (and its most intensified form - nightmare, contempt). The appearance of one or another type of affect is in an interdependence on the physiological mechanisms, on the character of the person, as well as on the complex of other internal and external factors. Thus, for the correct appreciation of the actions committed in a state of affect, it is necessary to establish in detail the type of affect, the reason, its causes, the form of guilt, etc. When differentiating the diagnosis of pathological and physiological affections, it is necessary to keep in mind that these are different conditions, although they have an accumulation of common characteristic traits. The common elements of the physiological and pathological affections are attributed to a short duration; sudden onset; emotional reaction; explosive flow; sudden onset; strong emotional discharge; mental and physical exhaustion; partial amnesia.

When the duc de Choiseul-Praslin, a politician and prominent member of the French aristocracy, killed his wife and then poisoned himself in August 1847, the case shook the foundations of the July Monarchy. In the wake of the affair, conservatives used the murder/suicide to argue that love was a respect for hierarchy, while those on the left saw violence and anomie as stemming from inequality. However, both sides saw women’s affections as crucial to public life and social cohesion. This article thus situates the Choiseul-Praslin affair within the politics of affection and family life in mid-nineteenth-century France.

Les hernies hiatales et les sténoses œsophagiennes sont plus fréquentes chez le chat, les mégaœsophages et les corps étrangers œsophagiens plus fréquents chez le chien. Savoir différencier une dysphagie oro-pharyngée, œsophagienne et des vomissements est important pour orienter la démarche diagnostique. L’âge, la race, la cinétique d’installation des symptômes et leur combinaison permettent de hiérarchiser les hypothèses diagnostiques étiologiques.

A review is presented of the meaning of neuralgia - from its introduction in 1801, to indicate an affection of one or more nerves causing pain, to its present day use. There was early dispute whether neuralgia required a lesion to be present in the nerve, and whether peripheral branches, nerve roots or the neuraxis was involved. Affections of organs were seen as a cause and the concept was extended to include links with psychological illness. In the last decades of the 19th century and throughout the 20th century, opinion on neuralgia gradually moved closer to the original meaning.

The aim of the work was to study the laboratory indexes of the autoimmune affections of the nervous system during mild cranial traumas (CT) of patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA). Under the examination there were 16 patients with neurological signs of RA got the mild CT. The group of compare consisted of 30 patients with RA and the nervous system lesions without traumas of it in the life histories. The control group consisted of 30 healthy people. The autoimmune affection of the nervous system was diagnosed by definition of the antibody-synthetic activity of the B-cells over the cerebrolysin. The work confirms presence of the autoimmune component of the CT pathogenesis and gives prove of need of rheumatologist or immunologist participation in the treatment of patients with RA with CT. Described laboratory method of the B-cells activity definition can be recommended as a complementary diagnostic method of the nervous system affections during RA, presence and activity of the autoimmune component of the CT pathogenesis in such patients.

For a start, the present study tackles the language of affection in the Qur&rsquo;an and its role in managing unhealthy personality. Primarily, it provides a full-scale model for programming unhealthy mindsets. The model uses linguistic and neurological tools in the process of analysis. Affectional language is a case in point that shows how language, emotions, and cognition interact to reflect each other. The study highlights the effective role of affectional language in shaping minds. In the same vein, a typical example for the neurological programming process is the Qur&rsquo;anic representation of the attitudes of some believers at the time of the Prophet Muħammad (PBUH) after a specific battle. This representation reports the initial reaction of the believers which is emotionally shaped. Also, it helps in making proper reactions which are shaped according to the normal pathways of thinking. The process of shaping cognition is carried out according to specific neurological strategies that include the proper process of sensation, retrieval of the previous experience, neuroplasticity, and acceptance. Also, these strategies include self-compassion and compassion for others. Adding to its motivational role in the promotion of forgiveness, it plays the same motivational role for doing justice. Accordingly, the study concludes that the discourse of affection plays an effective role in shutting the door on any potential sign of the hurt-perceived and the righteous indignation reactions. Furthermore, it combats radicalism and extremism in a way that ends all forms of violence.

This research is important to carry out so that single mothers continue to provide affection and economic functions even though they come from incomplete families. This research was carried out using a qualitative approach to analyze in depth the phenomena related to single mothers as well as the fulfillment of the affection and economic functions carried out by single mothers for his children. The research informants were 5 people who were single mothers who worked as small traders. Data collection techniques include observation, in-depth interviews and documentation. Data analysis was carried out in stages of reduction, data presentation and data verification. The research results show that the economic function carried out by single mothers who work as small traders is by doing side jobs, extending working hours, asking family members for help, borrowing, saving money and taking advantage of assistance from the government. The aim of the work is to study the condition of the local immunity of stomach when there is bronchial asthma and the role of affection of some its factors in the formation of gastro duodenal pathology in this category of patients. 302 patients, both male and female were examined in the age of 18—60 with exogenous and mixed bronchial asthma. Gastro duodenal zone of all patients and local immunity of stomach in 65 patients were examined. The condition of the local immunity of the stomach was evaluated according to the content of secretory antibody A (sIgA), antibody G (IgG), circling immune complexes, activity of lysozyme in stomachic secretion. 68 patients (22,5%) have erosive affections of gastro duodenal zone. It is revealed that pathology of gastro duodenal zone is developed with the local deficit sIgA and rise of the content IgG in stomachic secretion. Dose-dependent effect of the long term peroral therapy by the systematic glucocorticosteroids at bronchial asthma on the pathology of gastro duodenal zone and local immunity of the stomach is revealed. Lowering the content of IgG and circling immune complexes in stomachic secretion and immune complex reactions in mucous membrane of the stomach, physiological doses lower the frequency of erosive affections of gastro duodenal zone. Treatment by supraphysiological doses of systematic glucocorticosteroids brings on disruption of specific protection section in mucous membrane of the stomach. It leads to the rise of erosive affections of gastro duodenal zone in this category of patients. Revealed affections of the local humoral immunity of the stomach in the patients have general characteristics and one-directed character of changes with the local immunity of respiratory tract when there is bronchial asthma. It gives the opportunity to suppose the participation of immune system of mucous membrane when having bronchial asthma.

In Peru, there are few studies on male sex workers (MSWs), and existing studies explore limited subgroups or offer limited information about MSWs’ perspectives. This study provides in-depth perspectives from 40 MSWs who work in downtown Lima ( Cercado) and in surrounding urban neighborhoods (non- Cercado) through interviews on their identities, lives, and HIV/STI (sexually transmitted infection) risks and vulnerabilities. Findings are that entry into sex work links economy and affection, particularly among Cercado MSWs. Continued sex work cements this link, making it difficult to exit sex work and establish goals. Ties between economics and affections influence MSWs’ perceived HIV/STI risks, vulnerabilities, and prevention practices. Although Cercado MSWs report higher HIV/STI risks and vulnerabilities than non- Cercado peers, they report fewer prevention practices given inability to buy condoms and acceptance of client offers of higher payment, especially clients they feel affection for. MSWs need support to strengthen their self-perceptions and define and pursue their goals in order to improve their HIV/STI prevention practices, health, and well-being.

La rhinosinusite chronique idiopathique est l’une des principales affections nasales chez le chat. Malgré cette prévalence élevée, il s’agit d’une affection dont la prise en charge thérapeutique à long terme peut s’avérer frustrante. Le plus souvent, les chats concernés sont de jeunes adultes. Cette affection se caractérise essentiellement par des épisodes récurrents de jetage nasal, d’éternuements et de respiration bruyante (stertor). Le diagnostic de confirmation repose sur l’exclusion des autres maladies des cavités nasales. Dans ce cadre, la réalisation d’examens complémentaire est déterminante et comprend un examen tomodensitométrique, une endoscopie et la réalisation de biopsies nasales. Les études comparant les images scanner de processus tumoraux et de rhinite chronique ont identifié que certains éléments permettent la distinction de ces deux entités. Le traitement est peu consensuel et frustrant. Aucune option curative n’existe et la prise en charge proposée vise à limiter autant que possible l’expression clinique et à prévenir toute aggravation. Le traitement repose essentiellement sur une corticothérapie orale et/ou inhalée, souvent associée initialement à des antihistaminiques. Les lavages nasaux ou les nébulisations apportent souvent un bénéfice clinique.

Objective. Comparative estimation of diagnostic informativity of a fine-needle aspiration biopsy (FNAB) and pathohistological investigation of nodal thyroidal tumors.
 Маterials and methods. Retrospective analysis of the FNAB and the thyroidal pathohistology results was conducted in 171 patients before and after thyroidectomy, performed for nodal thyroidal tumors.
 Results. In accordance to the FNAB results a benign thyroidal affection was revealed in 131 (76.6%) patients and a malignant one - in 12 (7%). The method sensitivity has constituted 83.3%, and specificity - 98,5%. In 28 (16.4%) patients the FNAB results were uncertain. In 4 (14.3%) of 28 patients while further pathohistological investigation doing, a malignant affection of a thyroid gland was revealed (follicular cancer - in 1, papillary - in 1, follicular form of papillary cancer - in 1, Hurthle-cellular and papillary cancer - in 1). In 24 (85.7%) of 28 patients a benign thyroidal affection was revealed. In this group the FNAB sensitivity have constituted 65-99%, specificity - 98.5%. As a result of pathohistological investigation a benign thyroidal affection in 153 (89.5%) of 171 patients and malignant - in 18 (10.5%) were revealed.
 Conclusion. In preoperative diagnosis of nodal thyroidal tumors the uncertain FNAB results rate in preoperative diagnosis of nodal thyroid tumors, in accordance to our data, have constituted 16.4%, what restricts possibilities of this method in verification of malignant thyroidal affections. That is why the operation must not be indicated, basing on the FNAB data only, and molecular-genetic markers ought to be analyzed in this group of patients.
