The article provides data on pests and diseases of some species of the Aqavaceae family in the conditions of Absheron. It was revealed that not only for seedlings, but also for young agaves in general, the worst pests are the pelvic and naked snails. Anthracnose (Anthracnose) causes the greatest harm from fungal diseases, causing the death of infected plants. Agavina pipa, Scyphophorus acupunctatus nađena je na otoku Hvaru na poluotoku Pelegrin te u parkovima grada Hvara i Starigrada, što predstavlja prvi nalaz u Hrvatskoj. Crassulacean acid metabolism (CAM) provides desert plants with distinct advantages over the C3 and C4 photosynthetic pathways in harsh climates where water is scarce.
