Abstract:
Introduction. The issue of taxation of the agro-industrial complex of Ukraine has always been relevant. Because the appropriate level of tax procedures ensures the proper implementation of agricultural producers of their activities. The purpose of the paper is to determine the main features of taxation of the agro-industrial complex of Ukraine and to find out what problems arise during the payment of taxes by agricultural producers. Results. The agro-industrial complex of Ukraine includes certain types of agricultural producers, the successful operation of which, first of all, depends on the appropriate level of state support, and in our case – tax support. Currently, the activities of agricultural producers are taxed in accordance with the rules of preferential or simplified taxation (payment of a single tax of the fourth group), but they are also given the right to choose the type of taxation on general terms (income tax). General taxation should be understood as payment of a number of taxes established by the TCU: income tax, value added tax, property tax (land tax), rent for special use of water. As for the simplified taxation system, it applies to taxpayers of the fourth tax groups. Conclusion. Thus, on the basis of theoretical generalization, a description of tax regulation was given as one of the main means used by the state to regulate business activities.

Abstract:
In modern conditions of management, the Russian grain-based subcomplex functions in a new economic situation, this is facilitated by the introduction of international sanctions, Russia’s retaliatory embargo on food imports, the formation of strategic tasks of integration associations of the Eurasian Economic Union. Systemic problems, that arose in the early 1990 years in agro-food complexes and “overgrown” in the new century, remain unresolved. The most important are the low level of profitability of agricultural producers, a large number of intermediaries in the distribution process, the poor condition of the material and technical base of infrastructure enterprises, the underutilization of production capacities, the stagnation of domestic machinery for food, industry and agriculture, and low subsidies to agricultural producers by the state. At present, the form of economic relations between agricultural producers, storage organizations, processing, trade, intermediaries and infrastructure links, firstly, does not promote the achievement of synergy, sustainable management and competitiveness of products, and secondly, it does not ensure proper interaction between production and distribution of functional processes in the implementation of import substitution strategies in the agro-food sector. The solution of these and many other problematic issues in the development of the grain product subcomplex and, consequently, its adaptation to the new economic conditions require the development of a number of theoretical, methodological, analytical and practical provisions of the new “policy” in the field of functioning of agro-industrial subjects.

Abstract:
Anaerobic digestion using low-cost biodigesters (LCB) is a promising alternative for Colombian producers of non-centrifugal cane sugar (NCS). Since the integration of anaerobic digestion technology in this agro-industry is novel, it is critical to understand the factors that affect the acceptance behavior of such technology by NCS producers to develop future policies that promote the adoption of sustainable energy alternatives. This study aimed to analyze NCS producers’ behavioral intention to use LCB by utilizing an extended technology acceptance model (TAM). Data from a survey of 182 producers were used to evaluate the proposed model empirically. The extended TAM accounted for 78% of the variance in producers’ behavioral intention to use LCB. Thus, LCB acceptability could be fairly precisely predicted on the basis of producers’ intentions. This study’s findings contribute to research on the TAM and provide a better understanding of the factors influencing NCS producers’ behavioral intention to use LCB. Furthermore, this approach can assist policymakers at the local and global levels, given that NCS is produced in various developing countries worldwide.

Abstract:
The main characteristics of agricultural production in Russia and around the world are: capital intensity, dependence on natural factors, seasonality and relative instability of markets. These factors lead to increased needs of agro-industrial enterprises and their associations in sufficient sources of financing their own activities. Financial sources should not only be sufficient to ensure the main activity but also to assume some safety margin to overcome the decline in financial stability in cases of low yields, seasonal fluctuations in supply and demand, a sharp deterioration in weather conditions. At the same time, producers of agricultural products, goods and services have low investment attractiveness. This is caused by long payback times, technological complexity, high risks of such activities. As a rule, agricultural producers do not have sufficient financial resources to develop production, and at the same time face difficulties in attracting long-term investment from external sources. In such circumstances, financial instruments can become an important and effective way to ensure financing and increase the capitalization of agro-industrial complexes. Therefore, an important task of the economy and the organization of agricultural production can be recognized as the development of effective mechanisms to attract investment and the formation of their own working capital funds of agricultural producers by issuing and organizing the turn of corresponding financial instruments, including securities.

Abstract. The Russian agrarian sector of the economy ensures the food security of the state and, solving the tasks of minimizing the import of agricultural products, raw materials and foodstuffs, the vector of its strategic development focuses on the export of food products and other agricultural products. The purpose of this study is to identify the actual state of exports of agricultural products produced by domestic agricultural producers. Methods. The article uses such research methods as the method of analysis and synthesis, the method of forecasting and the method of comparative analysis. The results of the article are that the analysis of statistical and other official documents in the field of export of Russian agricultural products shows that the direction of the agrarian sector of the economy in the field of food self-sufficiency is receiving sustainable development, despite the existing problems in the field of geopolitics and geoeconomics, which have a transformational impact on Russian agriculture. economy and agro-industrial complex. If we cite statistical data, then more than 1030 suppliers of Russian-made products appeared only in 2019, and the share of domestic goods is now 89 %. Moreover, 35 % are Sverdlovsk producers. This is a prerequisite for supporting domestic producers. And domestically produced goods have now received high recognition from the townspeople, as they are the most environmentally friendly and high-quality, and most importantly, fresh, because fresh products can be bought in a shop near the house. The scientific novelty of the research is characterized by a new approach to the formation and development of the international agri-food market with the active participation of Russian agriculture and the agro-industrial complex.

Abstract:
The new reality of the domestic socio-economic environment is an increase in the openness of the national economy – an increase in the share of foreign trade turnover in the structure of public production. Ukrainian society has an extremely pressing issue on its agenda – how to save a place in a group of countries between the center and the periphery, and not to get there into the periphery zone forever. The purpose of the article is to find out how the openness of the national economy influences the sustainable development of regional agro-food production. A positive consequence of increasing the openness of the national economy to the sustainable development of regional agro-food production is the increase in the access of Ukrainian farmers to foreign markets with high capacity. Increasing access to overseas markets enables Ukrainian producers to leverage their existing resources and maximize their revenue. An important result for the national economy of increasing access to foreign markets for domestic producers is the increase in foreign exchange earnings. The negative impact of increasing the openness of the national economy on regional agro-food production is as follows: increasing the risk of the Dutch disease in Ukrainian agriculture; over-exports of the agricultural raw materials (it causes unused reserves of increasing the share of value added by increasing the degree of processing and causing damage to the food security of the state); the development of monoculturalism, which has a negative impact on rural employment; increasing the risk of erosion and degradation of agricultural land. Keywords: sustainable development, agro-food production, opens economy, over-exports, raw materials, added value, food security, rural unemployment, soil destruction.

The study of the system of relations between participants in agricultural relations that ensures active quality reproduction processes and profitability of activities, reduces internal and external risks and threats to business and guarantees food security of the municipality, the region and the country as a whole. Goal. To analyze the agro-industrial complex of the Republic of Crimea as a component of the region's industrial safety. The hypo-thesis of the study. Agricultural producers are gradually adapting to the new conditions in the Republic of Crimea during 2014-2017, and there are some problems in the production of agricultural products. Method or methodology of the work. The authors used structural-logical sequence of analysis of indicators of agro-industrial complex, considering the General characteristics of agro-industrial complex of the Republic of Crimea, the structure of the agricultural products of the Crimea, advanced agricultural enterprises. Using a structural-logical sequence of analysis of indicators of agro-industrial complex, it can be noted that, in general, the agricultural potential of Crimea is huge, however, the instability of some components, at the end of 2017, a decline, a decrease in the rate of growth of crop, livestock, thus we see the net profit and increased share of profitable enterprises. This dynamics suggests that agricultural producers are gradually adapting to new conditions, but there are some problems that hinder more fruitful development, primarily in terms of resource provision, logistics aspects and technological upgrades. The strategy for the development of the agro-industrial complex of the Republic of Crimea, as a component of the region's industrial security – is to create safe conditions for development, improve the quality and volume of agricultural production, and its competitiveness in the Republic of Crimea. The scope of the results. The results obtained are of practical significance and can be used by economic entities in the agricultural industry, implementation of investment projects at the level of the Republic of Crimea. Further research should be directed to the development of methods for assessing the economic security of the agro-industrial complex with the choice of indicators proposed in this study as a component of economic security.

Abstract:
Topicality. The agro-industrial complex is one of the budget-filling branches of the national economy, the share of which in the consolidated budget of Ukraine in recent years is an average of 12%, and in the export structure - more than a third. The agrarian sector is part of the country's overall economic system and is linked to other sectors of the economy through complex multilateral relations. Stimulation of integration activities in the agrarian sector has a positive effect on the development of the industry. In turn, Ukraine's integration into the institutions of the world community is to create a favorable precedent, a new form of economic relations for a higher level of development. An agricultural enterprise is characterized by a mismatch of interests of agricultural producers with processors and other suppliers. Integration is to create conditions for mutual assistance for enterprises on the basis of agreed principles of beneficial relations (pricing, technological assistance at home) and coherence of interests .Purpose and tasks. The purpose of the article is to determine the conceptual framework for regulating the economic development of the agricultural market infrastructure and stimulate agricultural production, for example, local producers, their possibilities for geographical certification / identification and establishing links with organizations that support the work of these producers locally. Certified local eco-products can have an impact on the development of local businesses and influence other products, namely: increase their value, strengthen integration in rural areas and increase the cost of local resources. The task is also to reflect the real state and identify the problems of the agrarian sector development, stimulate the agro-industrial production in Ukraine , the definition of the competitiveness of products, the functioning of the infrastructure of the agrarian market. The methods of scientific research are used: the dialectical method of knowledge of the effect of economic laws, statistical and comparative analysis .Results. The conceptual principles of regulation of the economic development of the infrastructure of the agrarian market and stimulation of agro-industrial production, on the example of local producers, their possibilities for geographical certification / identification and establishment of connections with the organizations supporting the work of these producers at the local level are considered. The author's interpretation of the agro-food market as the system of institutions and economic relations providing the processes of production in the agrarian sector, exchange, sale and consumption of food products is presented. The issues of agrarian production that are solving a complex of problems of social and ecological nature are studied, since the domination of only economic interests causes irreparable damage to the environment, affects the quality of life of citizens, indirectly reduces the level of food security of the country and, as a result, destroys the national security of the state. The theoretical and methodological principles of sustainable development concept are systematized taking into account the peculiarities of its branch implementation.Conclusions. In order to improve the development of the infrastructure and the functioning of the agrarian sector in the production of products, these surveys serve as a benchmark for the adoption of managerial decisions regarding the directions of increasing production and the competitiveness of agro-industrial products. The Institute for Certification of Local Eco-Products will influence the development of organic production, increase the value of such products, increase integration in rural areas and increase the cost of eco-products.

Plants are components of ecosystems (Figure 1). The primary or sole target of an agro-ecosystem is still production. Production systems are centered around two points: the ecosystem and the socio-economic system (Figure 2). Weeds, except parasitic weeds, are primary producers and compete with the crop plants. They may have beneficial effects besides their detrimental ones. Weeds are, therefore, plants which are more harmful than beneficial.

Rice shares about 20% of the agriculture gross domestic product (AGDP) and nearly 50% of the total calorie requirements of Nepalese people. The study was conducted to assess the different supply chain actors involved in the rice subsector in Kanchanpur district during April- August 2020. Pre-tested semi-structured questionnaires were used to collect the information by selecting 110 respondents including 75 rice producers, 10 agro-vet, 5 millers, 5 wholesalers, and 15 retailers. Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) and Microsoft Excel was used for data analysis. The findings revealed that there was a dominance of males (62%) over females (38%). The mean allocated area and productivity were 0.99 ha and 4.26 Mt/ha respectively. Cooperatives (33.33%) hold a major possession in the case of seed producers whereas their own seed (40.6%) and agro-vet (35.7%) hold a major source of seed in the case of grain producers for home consumption and marketed surplus. The average B: C ratio of the paddy growers was found to be 1.40 in the study area. The market margin and producer's share was higher in seeds supply chain NRs 29 per kg and 47.2% as compared to the grain supply chain as NRs 27 per kg and 46% respectively. About 77% of the paddy growers preferred to sell their produce to house and the remaining 23% sold to market. This research reflects the production constraints along with the establishment of an effective supply chain to assure the reliability of supply at an economic price. Int. J. Soc. Sc. Manage. Abstract:
The study was conducted to understand the perceptions and local adaptation strategies of rural sahelian communities in Burkina Faso to climate change on ruminant rearing practices. For this purpose, the study was carried out in the rural commune of Bani by collecting primary from semi-structured interviews with 143 producers and secondary data of temperature, rainfall and their spatial and temporal evolution from 2005 to 2016. Analysis of these data reveals that 67.13% of the producers are male and 32.86% female, with an average age of 55 ± 0.3 years. These respondents were agropastoralists with an average of 3.5 ha of cultivated land, using traditional seeds (100% of respondents) and improved seeds (58.7%) and rearing local breeds of ruminants. For climate change, respondents notified an increase in temperature and a decrease in rainfall that corroborates the analysis of the meteorological data collected. The consequences of climate change on livestock farmers' resources are food insecurity, lack of pasture, drought and low animal productivity. The local adaptation strategies applied by livestock farmers are the diversification of agro-sylvo-pastoral production (88.11%) and income-generating activities (70%). In the study area, diversification is the strategy adopted by agro-pastoralists to ensure food security and provide income to meet the daily needs of families.

Abstract:
Many studies were carried out in Morocco to show that the dynamics of the market gardening is characterized by frequent use and often uncontrolled use of chemical inputs to the detriment of the preservation of natural resources, the health of consumers and the producers themselves. This reality, calls for appropriate structural actions, based on the levels of sustainability of the sector. The IDEA method (Farm Sustainability Indicators) is one way of giving practical expression to the concept of sustainable farms. Based on 40 sustainability indicators covering the three dimensions of sustainability: agro-ecological, socio- territorial, and economic. Using the IDEA method, we conducted this research with a view to analyze the sustainability of market gardening exploitations in three rural communities: Mnasra, Sidi Mohamed Benmansour, and Benmansour. We conducted questionnaire interviews with 180 producers. The results obtained have generally shown that the market gardening farms in this region have low sustainability scores. The sustainability of farms is lowest on the socio-territorial scale due to the absence of product quality approaches, poor human development, and poor employment conditions and services. On the economic scale, the low viability stands out. The agro-ecological scale shows higher values due to the good organization of space and diversified systems.

Abstract:
In the article the need for state regulation of import substitution in the agro-industrial complex of the Russian Federation is founded upon the basis of food self-sufficiency call under conditions of sanctions. It is determined that when forming the mechanism of import substitution, an integrated approach is necessary, taking into account the peculiarities of the state development and the use of all types of potential. The existing trends in the functioning of the Russian Federation agricultural sector are noted. The main problem of the agro-industrial complex of the Russian Federation is revealed to be the lack of state support and funding, as well as the drawbacks of state regulation. It was revealed that, despite the identified positive tendencies in the development of the agro-industrial complex, with the purpose of stabilization it is necessary to upgrade the technical and technological spheres on the basis of an innovative approach to scientific and technological developments in all sectors of the agroindustrial complex. It was also pointed out to the fact in the sphere of food supply, an effective import substitution policy is possible provided that conditions for the development of Russian production of competitive food products are created. It is advisable to form import substitution on the basis of a closed production cycle within the state, in which producers are involved in supply and delivery chains directly to trading enterprises, and that requires improvements of the interaction system of all market actors. At the same time, producers are supposed to be able to significantly increase income, and consumers are supposed to have favorable food prices. A model of import substitution state regulation mechanism in the agro-industrial complex of the Russian Federation on the basis of selfsufficiency need in food is proposed, which is a set of stages for the implementation of a certain sequence of actions where each of the twelve stages is specified. In the process of implementation of the proposed model significant advantages can be achieved in the economic, technical and organizational spheres of the agriculturalsector.

Abstract:
This study established the level of technical efficiency and its determinants among the informal and formal seed potato producers in the southwestern highlands agro - ecological zone of Uganda. A multi- stage sampling procedure was employed to select 636 households (499 informal seed producers and 137 formal seed producers) from which data was collected for two seasons using a semi - structured questionnaire. Data was analyzed using the stochastic frontier approach with a one - step approach. Maximum likelihood estimates for the efficiency parameters showed that both informal and formal seed potato producers were not fully efficient. The mean technical efficiency for informal and formal seed potato producers was 8 1 .4 and 80.4 percent respectively. In terms of yield loss, informal and formal seed potato producers respectively lost an average of 981 and 1,208 kg/acre of seed potato tubers due to inefficiency factors . Specifically, off- farm income source, scale of production, seasonal variation, access to extension services and seed producer being male positively influenced informal seed producers’ technical efficiency while producers’ level of education and seed potato variety diversity negatively influenced their efficiency. For formal seed producers, technical efficiency was influenced positively by producers’ education and negatively by household size. The study suggests that there is an opportunity to improve technical efficiency of informal and formal seed producers by 19 and 20 percent respectively. Therefore, this calls for increased investment in developing and promoting high yielding varieties, provision of extension services, input intensification and addressing gender issues in seed potato production in the context of limited arable land .

The spread of technology and innovation in agriculture leads to the emergence of the unemployed. This circumstance leads to the development of non-agricultural activities. Tourism activity in rural areas is a prospective direction. Agro-tourism has an impact on the development of the region and leads to the recovery of traditions, an increase in cultural level and an increase in income. Domestic tourism, including agro-tourism, is in demand in Russia, that is confirmed by statistical data. The wide development of agro-tourism makes it possible to study and classify, to identify the main directions of development. The Rostov region has a great tourist potential, both in the health resort and cultural sphere. However, there are difficulties in developing tourism in rural areas, due to the legal insecurity of investors and producers. Despite the difficulties, agrotourism increases the economic potential of the region and has positive effects. Besides, Agrotourism is a real opportunity to restore and maintain the welfare of rural areas, as well as the solution of extremely acute social problems that need to be addressed primarily, in particular, the problems of rural employment, health, education, and leisure. Solving these problems through the development of agro-tourism will promote to the social stability of rural regions.

The model makes strong utilization of relevant experts’ knowledge and expertise through a fuzzy-decision-making system tailored to dynamically set the marketing-mix periodically in response to changing business environment. Quantitative, qualitative, uncertain, and vague variables are handled necessary to provide a realistic solution. The proposed model is particularly applicable to changing business environments that are full of such qualitative, stochastic, uncertain, and vague variables as in the case of agricultural business (e.g., agro-food companies, fertilizers and agro-chemical producers), and generally applicable to any other business sector. The method can be considered as the fuzzy-expert system for determining values of the marketing decision variables.

The result of scientific work was the conclusion that the stabilization and improvement of the agro-industrial complex is impossible without the unity of interests and goals of state structures, agricultural producers, processing and selling enterprises. Sustainable rural development has become a priority policy of the state. It covers the social, eco-nomic and environmental aspects of the development of society. This is the primary task of the power structures of all levels in the sphere of the agro-industrial complex. Creating agricultural production cooperatives is the surest and only way to ensure the food security of the country, the socio-economic and political stability of society. State structures of regions, municipal areas need to intensify and manage the creation of conditions for the voluntary association of small and medium-sized forms of agribusiness into production cooperatives.

The emerging interest in the search for alternatives to synthetic preservatives has led to various successful research studies exploring the use of yeasts as potential biological control agents and producers of biopreservatives. The findings that yeasts could be used as producers of biopreservatives lacked some engineering considerations regarding cost-effective process design for scale-up, although partial process optimization using renewable agro-waste has been achieved. This study investigated the biological stoichiometry and bioenergetic parameters during yeast growth and secondary metabolites production i.e., biopreservatives from non-Saccharomyces yeasts using grape pomace extract (GPE), a type of agro-waste, as a fermentation medium. This was achieved by reconfirming the optimum production conditions previously found for Candida pyralidae Y1117, Pichia kluyveri Y1125, and Pichia kluyveri Y1164 in GPE broth as a fermentation medium, conditions under which a high amount of yeast cells were obtained. High-density cell cultures were produced, from which the yeast cell pellets were harvested, dried, and combusted for the determination of elemental analysis, heat of combustion, biological stoichiometry, and bioenergetic parameters. This work generated biological stoichiometric models and bioenergetics information that could assist in the design of yeast biochemical conversion system when GPE is used as fermentation medium, thereby, addressing the biochemical engineering aspects that were lacking in a previous biopreservative production study using Candida pyralidae Y1117, Pichia kluyveri Y1125, and Pichia kluyveri Y1164.

The article deals with the analysis of the state of development of main branches of agriculture and AIC as a whole, provision of the population of the republic with basic food products, assessment of mechanism of public support for the industry, main factors restraining the increase in the volume of agro-industrial production of the Republic of Kazakhstan (concentration of production in households; unsatisfactory quality of raw materials; seasonality and uneven supply of processing enterprises; lack of interconnection between agricultural producers, processing industry and trade; insufficient influence of public support on profitability, production efficiency, etc.). Taking into account the current problems of the small-scale commodity nature of agricultural sector, the necessity of cooperation of small forms of farming, creation of wholesale distribution and trade and logistics centers in order to bring together the efforts of all agricultural producers in one commodity flow, the availability of marketing of agricultural products and provision of competitive products to consumers has been justified. Measures on development of priority areas of agro-industrial complex of the republic (provision of the population with food of its own production, improvement of public support measures and regulation of agricultural sectors, development of processing of agricultural products, effectiveness of the system of promoting products from producer to consumer, increasing export potential of agricultural enterprises, etc.) are presented. The strategic tasks of agricultural production growth have been substantiated, for the achievement of which the optimal use of available resources, transition to fundamentally new qualitative characteristics, provision of high rates of increase in crop yields and animal productivity, taking into account the location of production in the most favorable conditions (specialization), the use of innovative technologies, zoned progressive varieties and breeds, increase in technical equipment are needed.

Abstract:

Abstract:
Purpose: The purpose of current work is to study the decriminalization of the agro-industrial complex as the most important factor in food security, as well as a way to solve problems affecting the state of food security of the Russian Federation, problems of legal support of national priorities related to food independence. Design/methodology/approach: The methodological basis of the research was formed by general scientific and private scientific methods. Findings: Today the agro-industrial sector is faced with a fundamentally new socio-economic and political-legal situation. It is not coordinated with the state policy in the field of agriculture, food production and food security, although initially this policy is intended to be a tool for the development, maintenance and functioning of the agro-industrial complex. Originality/value: The conducted research allowed us to draw the following conclusions: given the significant contribution of the agro-industrial complex to the national economy, it is self-sufficient and can develop independently; federal spending on said government support should provide agricultural producers with a margin that provides incentives to improve worker efficiency and an affordable credit system for the technical and technological upgrades of equipment needed to produce competitive goods; issues of increasing the competitiveness of agricultural products require solutions, first of all, at the federal legislative level.

Abstract:
Today, the degree of agricultural development, and, in the future, the level of national food security, the public health and the quality of life, are largely ensured by innovative developments in the field of alternative agriculture, the preservation of natural resources and, above all, the main production facility – land. At the same time, the unfilled market capacity of organic products and the significant land potential for the development of organic farming create all the necessary prerequisites for enhancing the competitiveness of Russian rural producers. The development of agricultural entrepreneurship towards the greening of land use, organic production and development of the domestic market for organic (ecological) products in the format of zonal agro-eco clusters is one of the strategic directions for implementing reforms in the agricultural sector. The paper presents the directions of the formation and development of zonal agro-eco clusters for the production, processing and sale of organic products in the agricultural regions of Russia.

Abstract:
Polyhydroxyalkanoates (PHAs) are a group of the biodegradable polyesters, and represent an alternative to conventionally used petroleum-based plastics resistant to biodegradation. The production is not cost-competitive compared to conventional plastics, although, there are several bacterial producers capable of PHA accumulating up to 80 % of their cells dry weight using low-cost substrates. PHA production can be improved by transferring specific enzymes or entire metabolic pathways from the most efficient producers to other natural producers. Therefore, the review is focused on genetic modification of bacterial producers, namely the genera Cupriavidus, Pseudomonas, Halomonas, Aeromonas and Bacillus, for efficient industrial production of PHAs. Recombinant PHA producer can use non-traditional substrates like agro-industrial wastes, namely whey, lignocellulose or glycerol. It is possible to influence the shape and size of the producer's cell by over-expression or knockout of selected genes or to affect its preference for a specific component of a culture medium by modulation of a producer's basal metabolism. The costs of PHA production still be reduced by simplifying the downstream process by enzymatic hydrolysis of selected parts of the cell or blocking the protective mechanisms of the cell against its autolysis caused by the ionic strength of the solution.

Abstract:
The article is aimed at studying the current state of the agro-industrial complex of the Ternopil region and elaborating proposals for improving local agro-industrial production aimed at increasing the competitiveness of enterprises’ products in the European Union markets. As a result of the study, the current state of the agro-industrial complex of the region is considered, the dynamics of production volumes of agricultural products of the main types in the region are examined. The authors also propose some ways to increase the export potential of the region in the direction of European integration. It is substantiated that for the development of this industry it is necessary to introduce a number of measures that will help solve urgent and important problems of agricultural production development in both the domestic and the European markets. To strengthen the position of the agro-industrial complex of the region, it is necessary to develop cooperation of agricultural producers more widely. First of all, special attention needs to be paid to expanded livestock industry, especially dairy. Perspective directions of work for farmers of Ternopil region in cooperation with markets of European countries are determined as follows: production of organic products, as well as cultivation and processing of fruit and berry products. Prospects for further research in this direction are substantiation and development of measures to increase the competitive advantages of specific agro-industrial enterprises of the Ternopil region of various specializations in the implementation of foreign economic activity in the EU markets. The implementation of these measures will enable the agro-industrial sector to become more profitable and provide an important contribution to the development of not only the region, but also the whole country as a whole.
