Abstract:
Language is the principal medium for ideas, while dialogue is the most natural and effective way for humans to interact with and access information from machines. Natural language generation (NLG) is a critical component of spoken dialogue and it has a significant impact on usability and perceived quality. Many commonly used NLG systems employ rules and heuristics, which tend to generate inflexible and stylised responses without the natural variation of human language. However, the frequent repetition of identical output forms can quickly make dialogue become tedious for most real-world users.

Yes
This chapter encapsulates the multi-disciplinary nature that facilitates NLP in AI and reports on a linguistically orientated conversational software agent (CSA) (Panesar 2017) framework sensitive to natural language processing (NLP), language in the agent environment. We present a novel computational approach of using the functional linguistic theory of Role and Reference Grammar (RRG) as the linguistic engine. Viewing language as action, utterances change the state of the world, and hence speakers and hearer’s mental state change as a result of these utterances. The plan-based me

The paradigm of diffusion research can be traced back all the way to the 1940s when Ryan and Gross investigated the diffusion of hybrid seed among farmers in Iowa. Since the 1960s diffusion research has been applied in a wide variety of disciplines, for instance, to study the diffusion of the Internet and the non-diffusion of the Dvorak keyboard. Currently, the technologies that are on top of the Gartner Hype Cycle are all associated with Artificial Intelligence (AI), which shortly can be defined as learning devices that perceive their environment and take actions to maximize their success at

This project, conducted at Ericsson AB, investigates the feasibility of implementing machine learning techniques in order to classify dump files for more effi cient trouble report routing. The project focuses on supervised machine learning methods and in particular Bayesian statistics. It shows that a program utilizing Bayesian methods can achieve well above random prediction accuracy. It is therefore concluded that machine learning methods may indeed become a viable alternative to human classification of trouble reports in the near future.
Detta examensarbete, utfört på Ericsson AB, ämnar

Abstract:
In this thesis we introduce Rogueinabox: a higly modular learning environment built around the videogame Rogue, the father of the roguelike genre. It offers easy ways to interact with the game and a whole framework to build, customize and run learning agents. We discuss the interest and challengies of this game for machine learning and deep learning, and discuss our initial experiments of training. We show the userfulness and convenience of Rogueinabox employing it in combination with QLearning tecniques to build an agent that explores the dungeon.

Abstract:
The increased usage of solar panels worldwide highlights the importance of being able to detect faults in systems that use these panels. In this project, the historical power output (kWh) from solar panels combined with meteorological data was used to train a machine learning model to predict the expected power output of a given solar panel system. Using the expected power output, a comparison was made between the expected and the actual power output to analyze if the system was exposed to a fault. The result was that when applying the explained method an expected output could be created which

Models based around the transformer architecture have become one of the most prominent for solving a multitude of natural language processing (NLP)tasks since its introduction in 2017. However, much research related to the transformer model has focused primarily on achieving high performance and many problems remain unsolved. Two of the most prominent currently are the lack of high performing non-English pre-trained models, and the limited number of words most trained models can incorporate for their context. Solving these problems would make NLP models more suitable for real-world application
