Full textThis research has, as its object of study, the techniques, principles and philosophy of Japanese martial art called Aikido, in a dialogue with principles and methods developed by Meyerhold, Rudolf Laban, Grotowski and Eugenio Barba, in order to create procedures that provide assistance to the actord body preparation and their artistic creation. We search, therefore, the scenic body, its movement and its continuing (re) organization. This work was based on bibliographic research and frequency in Aikido training, from where important elements were extracted to establish the foundations that enabled the connection between this martial art and the actor´s work. The practice consisted of exercises that aimed at the search of ways of transposition from the daily-body to the scenic body. In these trainings concepts and practices were developed aiming at body self-knowledge, preparation for the scene and the creation of extra-daily physical actions anchored in the practice of Aikido. The main practical result was the preparation of the play \"Separação de Corpos\", a monologue composed of physical actions created from the studied techniques during the training and that has as character a woman who was abandoned by his lover and seeks to understand her situation and overcome the loss, starting a new life in a different way. The presence of a tool such as Aikido, configured to be a great benefit to the work of the actor on stage, since it helps flexibility of the body on stage, encouraging concentration in the act of play as well.

Full textWhat is presented in this thesis concerns a part of my career as an actress and drama teacher, which was permeated by contributions of aikido and capoeira. These two martial arts from different cultural backgrounds, Japanese and African-Brazilian, which have at their core very rich technical and artistic elements, provided me with sufficient material to answer some questions about the training of the actor, from the preparation for the scene to the creation of a dramaturgy constructed in practice. This thesis therefore deals with this investigation that began with my practice in these martial arts and continued with a group of actors who voluntarily proposed to try the procedures developed during the doctoral process. The entire path taken by us in this research was built based upon the training aimed at the individual and relational improvement with the search for self-knowledge, broadening repertoire, enhancement of the state of readiness and presence, stimulation of creativity and availability body for improvisation and for game. In this work, when we treat the body, we refer to the whole psychophysical set from the sensory motor apparatus to the emotions, ideas and memories, so that all this information became part of this scenic research. Having as reference this complex body conjunct, we conceived during the training a scenic result that aimed at presenting what was developed by me and by the actors during our practice. In order to help the creation of the dramaturgy, we used as a basis the play \"Hamlet\", by William Shakespeare, whose circumstances and characters acted as stimuli to the creation of the actors. Thus, the scenic work built by us was the result of a dialogue between the extracted elements of aikido and capoeira and some Hamlet scenes. Finally, we intend in this thesis to show how we used aikido and capoeira as resources to transform the actor\'s everyday body into a scenic body, so that their qualities were enhanced and some limits overcome, respecting the characteristics of each one.

Resumo: A pesquisa 'O Teatro como Budô - O Aikidô Em Cena', trabalhou a arte marcial japonesa Aikidô como uma prática de formação de atores, destacando sua filosofia como parte constitutiva do treinamento. Formamos um grupo Aikidô EnCena e trabalhamos com atores, bailarinos e pedagogos técnicas e exercícios que visavam a formação do ator, percebendo o treinamento além do virtuosismo, contemplando dessa forma a questão pedagógica e sua formação sensível. O Aikidô, conhecido como 'A Arte da Paz', desenvolvido por Morihei Ueshiba. Propomos manter esse estado, sentimento e compromisso adquiridos na sala de práticas corporais, experimentando os princípios utilizados em um Dojô de Aikidô por meio do treinamento e vivenciá-los nas artes cênicas; entendendo o teatro como um DÔ, um caminho, um BUDÔ: "O Caminho para ações de coragem e de iluminação". Para dialogar com as emoções, sensações e sentimentos que essa filosofia intrínseca à prática suscita, e como esses atores se perceberam no processo, buscamos autores como António Damásio, José Gil, Yoshi Oida, e textos do fundador Ueshiba. Fizemos observação participante e por meio de elementos da pesquisa qualitativa registramos o desenvolvimento do trabalho e apresentamos o ponto em que a pesquisa se encontra.
Abstract: The research entitled 'Theatre as Budo - Aikido on Scene', was worked with the Japanese martial art Aikido practice while training as an actors emphasizing their philosophy as a constituent part of the training. We formed the group Aikido EnCena and worked with actors, dancers and technical educationalist and exercises that aimed the actor's formation, thinking the training beyond virtuosity, thus prioritizing the issue of teaching and their sensibility. Aikido, known as 'The Art of Peace', founded by Morihei Ueshiba. We proposed to maintain this stage, feeling and commitment to our room bodywork, experiencing the principles utilized in Aikido dojo through and experience them in the performing arts, considering the theater as one of a path, a Budo: "The Path to actions of courage and enlightenment". To dialogue with emotions, sensations and feelings that this intrinsic philosophy inherent to the practice develops and how these actors realizes themselves in the process, we search for authors like Antonio Damasio, José Gil, Yoshi Oida and texts of the founder Ueshiba. We did participant observation and through qualitative research elements, and then we record the development of work and present the point where the research at this moment.

Resumo: O aikido é uma das mais modernas manifestações marciais nipônicas. Criado por Morihei Ueshiba (1883 - 1969), o aikido chegou ao Brasil por meio dos imigrantes Reishin Kawai, Teruo Nakatani e Ichitami Shikanai. A partir de sua influência, diferentes grupos se constituíram e os brasileiros passaram a conhecer a "arte da paz", como o aikido também é denominado. Entretanto, apesar da forte conotação de paz e do incentivo à harmonia, o aikido brasileiro, especialmente seu pioneirismo, tornou-se motivo de dissenso e disputas entre alguns dos seguidores dos referidos mestres imigrantes. Essa constatação foi possível, mediante a utilização da história oral (de gênero temático) como metodologia na captação de memórias narrativas acerca da chegada e difusão do aikido em solo brasileiro. Dessa forma, no lugar de valorizar aspectos factuais e concretos, o presente estudo procurou privilegiar os sentidos e significados presentes nas narrativas de professores de aikido que treinaram e conviveram diretamente com os mestres Reishin Kawai, Teruo Nakatani e Ichitami Shikanai. Suas memórias foram analisadas a partir de diferentes referenciais teóricos das áreas de antropologia, sociologia, historiografia e memória. Além do caráter de disputa de alguns dos relatos recolhidos por ocasião desta pesquisa, também se destacam os motivos relativos aos processos migratórios dos mestres em questão, suas dificuldades iniciais de adaptação e o choque cultural decorrente das diferenças entre brasileiros e japoneses, bem como a consolidação do aikido em território nacional. Sobretudo, destacam-se nos relatos dos entrevistados, noções de tradição, discursos de oficialidade, concepções de técnica, assim como representações relativas ao Japão e aos japoneses. A relação entre o indivíduo e a coletividade, bem como a possibilidade de compartilhamento de memórias e sentidos pessoais também são discutidas ao longo de cada um dos capítulos. Pela ordem, a divisão de capítulos desta dissertação apresenta as seguintes discussões: 1 - a prática da transcrição como um exercício de edição, sempre arbitrário por parte do pesquisador; 2 - os significados que acompanham as memórias individuais de cada um dos entrevistados a respeito da chegada do aikido ao Brasil; 3 - a relação entre as identidades individuais e a concepção de aikido de cada um dos entrevistados; e 4 - as diferentes representações acerca da cultura japonesa, bem como as distintas formas de apropriação em relação ao aikido por parte dos entrevistados. Ganha destaque neste último capítulo, a sobrevalorização dos aspectos técnicos e marciais do aikido, em detrimento de seus sentidos espirituais e filosóficos. Assim, a natureza da atividade transcritiva, as diferenças das memórias entrevistados, a constituição de suas identidades, suas representações sobre a cultura japonesa, bem como suas distintas formas apropriação e significação do aikido, são aprofundadas em cada um dos respectivos capítulos desta dissertação, contudo, não deixam de ser pensadas como elementos indissociáveis do trabalho com fontes orais. Abstract: Aikido is one of the most Japanese modern kind of martial expressions. Created by Morihei Ueshiba (1883 - 1969), aikido came to Brazil by immigrants Reishin Kawai, Teruo Nakatani and Ichitami Shikanai. From their influence, different groups were formed and the Brazilians came to know the "art of peace", as aikido is also called. However, despite of its strong appeal for peace and harmony encouraging, the Brazilian aikido - especially its pioneering - became a dissent matter and source of disputes among some of the immigrant masters followers. This finding was possible by the oral history methodology use, as a way to collect of narrative memories about the aikido arrival and diffusion in Brazilian territory. Thus, instead of valuing factual and practical aspects, the present study sought to privilege the senses and meanings in the narratives of aikido teachers who trained and lived with the masters Reishin Kawai, Teruo Nakatani e Ichitami Shikanai. Their memories were analyzed from different theoretical frameworks of anthropology, sociology, historiography and other. Besides the features of dispute in some of the repports collected for this research, also highlight the reasons for the migration processes of the masters concerned, their initial difficulties of adaptation and the culture shock arising from differences between Brazilian and Japanese, as well as consolidation aikido in the country. Especially, we highlight the interviewees, notions of tradition, officers speeches, technical concepts, and representations relating to Japan and the Japanese. The relationship between the individual and the collectivity, as well as the possibility of sharing personal memories and senses are also discussed throughout each chapter. The order, the division of chapters of this dissertation presents the following arguments: 1 - the practice of transcription as an exercise in editing, always arbitrary on the part of the researcher; 2 - the meanings that accompany the individual memories of each of the respondents about the arrival of aikido to Brazil, 3 - the relationship between the individual identities and the understandings of aikido by each of the respondents, and 4 - the different representations about Japanese culture, as well as the distinct aikido appropriation forms by the respondents. In this latter chapter, the overvaluation of martial and technical aspects of aikido over its philosophical and spiritual aspects were also highlighted. Thus, the nature of transcriptional activity, the differences of respondents memories, the constitution of their identities, their representations about Japanese culture as well as their separate ways appropriation and significance of aikido, are detailed in each of the respective chapters of this thesis, however not cease to be thought of as inseparable elements of working with oral sources. Full textTiivistelmä Tämän tutkimuksen tarkoituksena on kuvata pitkittäistutkimuksena sairaanhoidon opiskelijoiden hoitotyön näkemyksen muotoutumista ja siihen yhteydessä olevia tekijöitä sairaanhoitajakoulutuksen eri vaiheissa. Lisäksi tarkoituksena on tuottaa opiskelijoiden hoitotyön näkemyksen muotoutumista kuvaileva malli. Tutkimusaineisto on kerätty kahdelta sairaanhoidon opiskelijaryhmältä (n=35) vuosina 1993-1998 koulutuksen alkuvaiheessa, koulutuksen puolessavälissä sekä koulutuksen loppuvaiheessa. Ensimmäisen ryhmän (n=18) aineistonkeruu aloitettiin vuonna 1993 ja toisen ryhmän (n=17) aineistonkeruu vuonna 1994. Aineisto koostui kaikissa kolmessa vaiheessa opiskelijoiden käytännön harjoittelujakson aikana kirjoittamista esseistä ja heidän henkilökohtaisista haastatteluistaan. Tutkimuksen ensimmäisen vaiheen aineisto analysoitiin jatkuvan vertailun menetelmällä. Aineiston ensimmäisen vaiheen analyysistä tuotetusta käsitejärjestelmästä muodostettiin luokittelurunko hoitotyön näkemystä kuvaavista auttamismenetelmistä. Tämän jälkeen ensimmäisen vaiheen aineisto luokiteltiin deduktiivisella sisällönanalyysillä käyttäen apuna jatkuvan vertailun analyysimenetelmällä muodostettua luokittelurunkoa. Samaa luokittelurunkoa apuna käyttäen luokiteltiin myös toisen ja kolmannen vaiheen aineisto ja analysoitiin deduktiivisella sisällönanalyysillä. Lisäksi kaikissa kolmessa vaiheessa aineisto kvantifioitiin hoitotyön näkemystä kuvaavien auttamismenetelmien osalta. Tutkimuksen tulosten mukaan hoitotyön näkemys muotoutui hoitotyön auttamismenetelmistä ja niihin yhteydessä olevista tekijöistä.. Hoitotyössä oli tunnistettavissa kolme erilaista hoitotyön toimintamuotoa, sen mukaan, mikä ohjasi opiskelijan toimintaa ja mikä oli opiskelijan suhde hoitotyöhön. Nämä nimettiin normatiiviseksi, itsenäiseksi tai yhteistoiminnalliseksi hoitotyöksi. Koulutuksen alkuvaiheessa opiskelijoiden hoitotyön näkemys perustui potilaan tarpeista lähtevään hoitotyöhön. Auttamista, ohjausta ja tukemista sekä yhteistoimintaa kuvaavia auttamismenetelmiä esiintyi tasapuolisesti. Hoitotyötä ohjasivat tasapuolisesti osaston säännöt ja normit, hoitotyön tietoperusta ja oma sisäinen näkemys hoitotyöstä sekä yhteisymmärrys potilaan hoitotyön tavoitteista. Koulutuksen edetessä opiskelijoiden hoitotyötä ohjasivat pääosin osaston säännöt ja normit ja hoitotyö kohdistui potilaan päivittäisistä fyysisistä tarpeista huolehtimiseen. Hoitotyössä korostui hierarkkinen vastuu ja autoritäärinen päätöksenteko. Tuloksista saatua tietoa voidaan hyödyntää opetussuunnitelmien kehittämiseen, opiskelijoiden oppimisprosessin tukemiseen sekä kehitettäessä yhteistyötä opiskelijoiden, opettajien ja käytännön hoitotyön tekijöiden kanssa opiskelijoiden ohjauksessa ja tukemisessa

Full textThis dissertation is a study of the literary works by the Sami author Matti Aikio, and of the impact his work had in Norway in his time. Aikio’s novels, articles, dramas and paintings were produced in the time period 1904−1929, a period when Norway as an independent nation state had limited tolerance for its Sami minority. Such an ethnic cultural understanding corresponded with the prevailing sentiment of social Darwinism of the time, in the transition from colonialism to imperialism. In this context Matti Aikio emerged as a Norwegian author with books written in Norwegian – but under a personally chosen, Sami sounding nom de plume. The objective of the dissertation is to disclose a possible contradiction between greater society’s expectations regarding assimilation and Aikio’s discreet presentation of Sami values in his literary works and professional activity. It has been discussed whether precisely the choice of tools at hand served to undermine his credibility with the Sami spokesmen of the time, but after the fact it has become evident that Aikio’s insistence on a collaborative line would have far better long-term results for the Sami language and culture. The analysis simultaneously seeks to substantiate that Aikio personally acquired a greater understanding of the diversity of the Sami culture in the course of his career – while simultaneously the tactics of the author’s long-term strategy for full equality for the Sami minority changed. From maintaining that the true Sami culture was found only in Karasjok, he ended up with a more modern and inclusive understanding of a Sami ethnic group with a multitude of languages and cultural expressions.

The research objective was to understand the meaning of self knowledgement in a existential phenomenological perspective as from an experience where the opening to self knowledge is found. We´ve chosen as an experience the practice of Aikido and the authorial reflections about it. The use of personal narrative, making the research building, became the own experience witnessing and investigation method, founded on Martin Heidegger´s hermeneutics. Questions about the self knowledgement emerged from the personal report about the author experience from he´s Aikido´s practice. We explained those questions as self caring disposal, and submitted it to a phenomenological analysis, done in three essays: The comprehension of its self as access to the way , where we explore the meaning and explain the knowledge of its self as a walking through the existence on its execution; The self knowledge and being-with , as from reflections about the others, we learn them as inseparable part of knowing its self, and we also reflect about the dwelling in the human ethos; The self knowledge and bodyhood , on this essay we discern the conception of body on the philosophical history from the conception of bodyhood for Heidegger´s Ontology. By doing so, we could think about the body (bodyhood) as fundamental for understanding the human existence. The conceptual probation we realize on these essays, allows us to understand those were the possible aspects to be accessed from the initial narrative. Such aspects we analyzed opened the reflection about the self knowledge´s theme that permeates the human existence on its everydayness, and its implications when thinking the Existential Phenomenological Clinics practices
O objetivo da pesquisa era compreender o que significa conhecer si mesmo em uma perspectiva fenomenológico existencial a partir de uma experiência em que há abertura para este conhecer-se. Escolhemos como experiência a prática do Aikido e as reflexões autorais oriundas desta prática. O uso da narrativa pessoal, perfazendo a construção da pesquisa, tornou-se testemunho da própria experiência e método de investigação da pesquisa, fundamentada na hermenêutica da facticidade de Martin Heidegger. A partir do relato pessoal do autor sobre sua experiência e compreensão na prática do Aikido, surgiram questionamentos sobre o conhecer si mesmo, que explicitamos como disposição do cuidar de si. Submetemos tais questionamentos a uma análise fenomenológica realizada em três ensaios distintos: O entendimento de si mesmo como acesso ao sentido , em que exploramos o que significa si mesmo e esclarecemos o conhecimento de si como um caminhar pela própria existência em sua realização fática; Conhecer si mesmo e ser-com , a partir das reflexões sobre os co-existentes, apreendemos os outros como parte indissociável do conhecer si mesmo, e refletimos sobre o habitar no ethos dos homens; Conhecer si mesmo e corporeidade , neste ensaio, ao diferenciarmos a concepção de corpo na historia da filosofia da concepção de corporeidade na Ontologia Fundamental, pudemos pensar sobre o tema do corpo (corporeidade) como fundamental na compreensão do existir humano. O aprofundamento conceitual realizado nestes ensaios nos permitiu compreender que estes foram os aspectos possíveis de serem acessados via a narrativa inicial. Estes aspectos analisados nos abriram para a reflexão sobre tema do conhecer si mesmo que permeia o existir humano em sua cotidianidade e suas implicações no pensar a clínica fenomenológico existencial

Full textEl Ju-Jutsu fue el primer Arte Marcial japonés en llegar a España. Japón había permanecido aislado del mundo exterior hasta la década de 1850 pero en medio siglo se había convertido en una gran potencia agresiva y expansionista. Durante la primera década del siglo XX, varios maestros japoneses empezaron a recorrer el mundo efectuando demostraciones de su arte y uno de ellos, Sada Kazu Uyenishi, llegó a España en 1907 usando el nombre escénico de Rakú. Durante 1908 y 1909, Rakú efectuó largas giras por España y celebró exhibiciones en Barcelona, Madrid, Santander, Bilbao, Valladolid, Tolosa, San Sebastián, Zaragoza, Logroño, Valencia y Alicante por este orden. Otros maestros japoneses visitaron también España, alguno colaboró con Rakú y la mayoría actuaron por su cuenta. Sin embargo, estas primeras experiencias no dejaron huella duradera. No surgieron grupos o escuelas que se dedicasen de manera continuada a la práctica marcial. La presencia del Ju-Jutsu o de cualquier otra disciplina marcial de Oriente en nuestro país fue casi nula durante las décadas siguientes.
En 1948 surgió lentamente un interés por las Artes Marciales, inicialmente en círculos muy reducidos aunque con mayor seriedad y vocación de permanencia. Ya no se trataba de admirar las demostraciones de un maestro extranjero que llegaba, efectuaba una gira más o menos larga y, a continuación, se iba sino de grupos autóctonos que descubrían esta práctica deportiva por libros, viajes o noticiarios comenzando a organizarse, a practicar, a buscar maestros y acondicionar un local, más o menos adecuado. En todos los casos la disciplina marcial practicada ya no era el Ju-Jutsu sino el Judo, aunque en ocasiones podía observarse una mezcla ecléctica o, más probablemente, una cierta confusión inicial entre ambas disciplinas. Madrid fue la pionera con maestros como Gregorio Pérez Acosta y Alfredo San Bartolomé. Barcelona le siguió muy poco después con una estructura mucho más sólida de la mano de Henri Birnbaum..
Los pioneros del Judo en España formaban un grupo variopinto. En su mayoría, eran civiles que sólo deseaban hacer deporte y, posteriormente, gracias a las exhibiciones realizadas especialmente en Barcelona por Henri Birnbaum, se sumaron militares y policías. Eran personas que se iniciaban en sus estudios universitarios o adultos con un nivel sociocultural medio-alto. En su mayoría fueron hombres al que luego se les unieron los niños, fuente muy importante de ingresos. Las mujeres pocas o muy pocas, pero desde los primeros años haberlas haylas aunque marginadas de la competición.
El Judo se difundió gradualmente por toda España. En 1951 se creó el Departamento de Judo dentro de la Federación de Lucha separándose de la misma en 1965. El 18 de diciembre de 1953 se celebró el I Campeonato de España en Barcelona con la participación de Cataluña, Castilla y Aragón. En la segunda edición, en 1954, los participantes fueron Cataluña, Castilla Centro, Guipúzcoa, Santander y Aragón. A finales de la década de los sesenta el Judo ya estaba difundido por toda España y eso creó la base para la difusión de otras artes marciales japonesas, como el Aikido (u otras que no se incluyen en la presente tesis, como el Karate).
El Aikido se inició en España en 1963 en Santander siendo Manuel Palacio el que, después de estar en Bruselas, llevó hasta la ciudad española a Marcel Boffin y Julien Naessens para impartir clases de Aikido. Mallorca le siguió de cerca e incluso se creyó que fue el primero. Llegó a estar prohibido por el "Régimen" y fue en 1968 cuando la entonces ya Federación Española de Judo incorporó el Aikido, también el Karate, a sus filas.

How and when did Japanese Martial Disciplines as Ju-Jutsu, Judo and Aikido arrive in Spain? And how were they expanded?
In the first years of Twentieth Century, some Japanese "sensei" (masters) began to travel across the world showing their fight systems. One of these masters, Sada Kazu Uyenishi, arrived in Spain in 1907. Between 1908-1909, he performed exhibitions first in Barcelona, next in Madrid, Santander, Bilbao, etc. He used the stage name of Rakú. Some other Japanese masters came to Spain too, but this first wave of the Japanese martial arts vanished without trace.
It was not since 1948 that we could see the first local groups that began to read books, open their own dojos, search coaches and senseis, etc. But they didn't train Ju-Jutsu; they trained Judo. Sometimes we confuse between both martial disciplines. The first permanent group was created in Madrid in 1948, with masters as Gregorio Pérez Acosta and Alfredo San Bartolomé. Barcelona was the second group, very short time after, under Henri Birnbaum guidance.
The first Spanish judokas were a motley group: first civilians, later soldiers and policemen. Men almost all, but a short number of women were very quickly, accepted by their team-mates, although they banished of championships during the first years. In 1951 the Spanish Wrestling Federation created a Judo Department. In 1965 Judo had his own National Federation. The first National Championship was hold in Barcelona in December 1953. At the end of the sixties, we can find judokas in almost every Spanish regions. This was the basis of the arrival and expansion of many more martial disciplines such as Aikido.
The Aikido began in Spain in 1963. Santander was the pioneer city. A Spanish man called Manuel Palacio discovered Aikido in Bruxelles and took to Spain two Belgian masters: Marcel Boffin and Julien Naessens. The isle of Mallorca was the second one. After a short time of official prohibition under General Franco dictatorship, the National Federation of Judo created one Aikido Department in 1968.

Resumo: A prática de atividades físicas regulares por idosos é importante na manutenção e melhora da saúde. As artes marciais são um tipo de atividade física praticada por pessoas de diferentes idades que apresenta altas taxas de aderência. Esse estudo qualitativo transversal teve como objetivo avaliar os fatores determinantes da aderência ao treino de artes marciais (Aikidô e Judô) em idosos. Os dados foram coletados por meio de entrevistas semi-estruturadas por amostragem de grupos. Os critérios de seleção da amostra foram: idade de 60 anos ou mais, filiação a associação da modalidade e treino de 20 anos ou mais. As entrevistas foram gravadas e avaliadas por análise de conteúdo qualitativo convencional. A amostra de conveniência foi composta por 12 homens, com média de idade de 67,3 anos e média de tempo de aderência à prática de 37,3 anos para o Aikidô e de 51,3 anos para o Judô. Os fatores determinantes da aderência ao Aikidô foram: preocupação com a manutenção da saúde, inserção social, valorização e superação pessoal, ausência de competição. No Judô, esses fatores foram: filosofia de vida, inserção social, foco competitivo, valorização e superação pessoal. A filosofia das artes marciais valoriza a atuação de indivíduos idosos no grupo de praticantes, inspirando atitudes positivas de aderência a atividade física. Estudos futuros são necessários para avaliar os efeitos de diferentes tipos de prática de artes marciais na aderência a atividade física e seus efeitos na melhoria da saúde e da qualidade de vida em idosos
Abstract: The practice of regular physical activity for elderly is important in the maintenance and improvement of health. The martial arts are a type of physical activity training by people of different ages that shows high rates of adherence. This qualitative cross-sectional study aimed to evaluate the determinants of adherence to the training of martial arts (Aikido and Judo) in elderly. The data were collected by semi-structured interviews by sampling of groups. The selection criteria for the sample were: age of 60 years or more, membership the association of modality, and training of 20 years or more. The interviews were recorded and evaluated by conventional qualitative content analysis. The purposeful sample was composed of 12 men, with a mean age of 67.3 years and mean time of adherence to the practice of 37.3 years for Aikido, and 51.3 years for Judo. The determinants of adherence to Aikido were: concern with the maintenance of the health; social inclusion; appreciation and overcoming personal; lack of competition. In Judo, these factors were: philosophy of life; social integration; focus competitive; appreciation and overcoming personal. The practice of the philosophy of both modalities of martial arts enhances the performance of elderly in the group of practitioners, inspiring positive attitudes of adherence to physical activity. Future studies are needed to evaluate the effects of different types of training of martial arts in adherence to physical activity and its effects on the improvement of health and quality of life in the elderly

O objetivo desta pesquisa ? refletir sobre os elementos do cuidado de si na filosofia do Aikido, no sentido de identificar contribui??es para a Educa??o F?sica. Trata-se de uma pesquisa qualitativa de abordagem hermen?utica (RICOEUR, 1999) que se debru?a sobre as seguintes obras: Morihei Ueshiba (2002; 2006; 2010), Kisshomaru Ueshiba (2005; 2011), Moriteru Ueshiba (2008) e Foucault (2010; 2012; 2013). A partir do estudo hermen?utico das obras relacionadas ao Aikido, no primeiro cap?tulo, apresentamos um breve contexto hist?rico de seu fundador, Morihei Ueshiba, descrevendo algumas experi?ncias essenciais para sua cria??o e, de modo mais aprofundado, evidenciamos alguns dos preceitos filos?ficos que regem esta pr?tica e seus significados, tais como ki, kotodama, misogi e budo. Para o segundo cap?tulo, evidenciamos, a partir das an?lises das obras de Michel Foucault, os sentidos presentes nos saberes e pr?ticas do cuidado de si. No terceiro cap?tulo, s?o tecidas reflex?es acerca dos elementos do cuidado de si no Aikido e, a partir desta aproxima??o, pensar pr?ticas de espiritualidade no ?mbito da Educa??o F?sica. Por fim, pudemos perceber que o estudo hermen?utico como possibilidade de identifica??o dos elementos do cuidado de si no Aikido favoreceu refletirmos sobre um caminho espiritual que traz para a Educa??o F?sica contribui??es no sentido de consider?-la uma arte do bem viver. The goal of this research is to reflect about the care of the self elements in Aikido?s philosophy, in sense to identify contributions to the Physical Education. It?s a qualitative research with hermeneutic approach (RICOEUR, 1999) which looks over the following works: Morihei Ueshiba (2002; 2006; 2010), Kisshomaru Ueshiba (2005; 2011), Moriteru Ueshiba (2008) e Foucault (2010; 2012; 2013). From the hermeneutic study of Aikido related works, on the first chapter, we present a brief historical context of the founder, Morihei Ueshiba, describing some essential experiences to his creation and, in depth, we evidence some of the philosophical precepts that rules this practice and their meanings, such as ki, kotodama, misogi, and budo. For the second chapter, we evidence, from the analysis of Michel Foucault?s works, the meanings present on the knowledge and practices of the care of the self. On the third chapter, are weaved reflections about the care of the self elements on Aikido and, with that approach, think about the spirituality practices on the Physical Education context. For last, we perceive the hermeneutic study as a possibility to identificy the care of the self elements on Aikido that favored us to reflect about a path, a determinate lifestyle from the aesthetics of existence, that brings constributions to Physical Education in way of considerer it an art of good living. An art in the meaning of a life style, an existence aesthetic, which perceive the energy as a vital force that permeate the human being and all life form, reaffirming thid relationship.

Full textTiivistelmä Tutkimukseni käsittelee alkoholivalistuksen tekstilajia ja sen muuttumista vuosien 1755 ja 2001 välisenä aikana. Sen tavoitteet ovat pääosin kahtalaiset: ensimmäisenä päätavoitteena on selvittää, millainen tekstilaji alkoholivalistus on. Toisena päätavoitteena on hahmottaa, miten alkoholivalistus muuttuu tarkastelujakson aikana. Tutkimusaineisto koostuu 55 tekstistä, jotka on jaoteltu viiteen vaiheeseen suomalaisessa alkoholipolitiikassa tapahtuneiden muutosten perusteella. Tutkimuksen yhtenä lähtökohtana on oletus alkoholivalistuksesta tekstilajina, jossa lukijaan vaikuttaminen on erityisen keskeistä. Siksi tutkimuksessa hyödynnetään tekstilajiteorian lisäksi Chaïm Perelmanin argumentaatioteoriaa. Tutkimuksen keskiössä on erilaisten argumentaatiotekniikoiden kuvaaminen. Lisäksi tutkimuksessa tarkastellaan tekstien sisältöä ja kognitiivisia perusmetaforia, kirjoittajan ja lukijan suhdetta sekä varausten käyttöä. Tutkimuksessa luodaan alkoholivalistuksen tekstilajista synteesi, joka kuvaa mahdollisimman kattavasti eri aikoina julkaistuja alkoholivalistustekstejä. Tekstilajin keskeisimpiä ominaispiirteitä ovat seuraavat: 1) Alkoholivalistustekstissä viitataan eksplisiittisesti lukijaan, kun taas suora viittaaminen kirjoittajaan on harvinaista. 2) Lukijan toimintaa ohjaillaan implisiittisesti tarjoamalla lukijalle alkoholin vaikutuksista sellaista tietoa, joka oletettavasti vaikuttaa hänen alkoholiasenteisiinsa kielteisesti. Eksplisiittisesti lukijan toimintaa ohjaillaan käyttämällä imperatiivimuotoisia käskyjä ja nesessiivirakenteita. 3) Alkoholivalistus on kohdistettua viestintää, ja tärkeimpiä yleisön rajaamisen kriteerejä ovat ikä ja sukupuoli. 4) Argumentointi perustuu pitkälti syy- ja seurausargumenttien käyttöön. Tyypillisimmät argumentoinnin kulun indikaattorit ovat kausaalisia ja perustelevia suhteita osoittavia konnektoreita. 5) Alkoholivalistuksen sisällössä korostuvat terveys- ja perheteema. 6) Alkoholivalistuksen alkoholiajattelu pohjautuu alkoholia elollistavaan perusmetaforaan ALKOHOLI ON HALLITSIJA. 7) Alkoholivalistusteksteissä käytetään paljon varauksia osoittamaan, että esitetyt väitteet eivät pidä välttämättä paikkaansa kaikissa tapauksissa mutta että ne pätevät kuitenkin useimpiin yksilöihin. Alkoholivalistus myös muuttuu monin tavoin tarkastelujakson aikana. Muutokset ovat suhteellisen harvoin lineaarisia. Tavallisimmin alkoholivalistustekstien muutosta voisi kuvata aaltoilevaksi. Muutamia piirteitä tarkasteltaessa muutos näyttää myös sykliseltä. Tavallisesti alkoholivalistuksen muuttuminen on tiiviissä yhteydessä tekstinulkoiseen todellisuuteen. Keskeisimpiä muutoksia on alkoholivalistuksen institutionaalistuminen sekä sen sävyn lieveneminen

Full textTiivistelmä Tutkimuksen tarkoituksena oli kuvata ja selittää palvelutaloon muuttaneiden ikääntyneiden mitattua ja itsearvioitua fyysistä toimintakykyä ja niiden muutosta 3 ja 12 kuukautta muuton jälkeen. Lisäksi kuvattiin itsearvioidun fyysisen toimintakyvyn, sosiaalisen ympäristön ja psyykkisen hyvinvoinnin yhteyttä mitatun fyysisen toimintakyvyn muutoksiin. Tutkimuksen tavoitteena oli tuottaa tietoa, jota voidaan hyödyntää palvelutalojen asukkaiden fyysisen toimintakyvyn arvioimiseen ja tukemiseen tähtäävien käytäntöjen suunnittelussa ja johtamisessa. Aineisto kerättiin pohjoissuomalaisessa kaupungissa palvelutaloihin (n = 11) vuonna 2014 muuttaneilta ikääntyneiltä (n=81), joista 70 % oli naisia. Mittareina käytettiin Hyvinvointiprofiili-kyselylomaketta, Ympäristöhyvinvointimittaria ja SPPB- toimintatestiä (Short Physical Performance Battery). Aineisto analysoitiin tilastollisin menetelmin. Palvelutaloon muuttaneiden fyysinen toimintakyky oli heikko. Päivittäisistä toiminnoista suoriutuminen [IADL], kävelynopeus, oikean käden puristusvoima ja itsearvioitu arkiaskareista suoriutuminen heikkenivät ensimmäisen asumisvuoden aikana. Lisäksi itsearvioitu IADL-suoriutuminen vaikeutui mutta lihaskuntoharjoittelu sekä harrastusryhmiin osallistuminen lisääntyivät. Asukkaat arvioivat voivansa tehdä, mitä haluavat ja tapaavansa riittävästi läheisiä ihmisiä palvelutalossa. Itsearvioitu fyysinen toimintakyky oli yhteydessä IADL-suoriutumisen vaikeutumiseen ja kävelynopeuden hidastumiseen. Sosiaalinen ympäristö ja psyykkinen hyvinvointi olivat yhteydessä IADL-suoriutumisen vaikeutumiseen, kävelynopeuden hidastumiseen ja oikean käden puristusvoiman heikkenemiseen. Tämä tutkimus lisää tietoa palvelutaloihin muuttaneiden ikääntyneiden fyysisestä toimintakyvystä, sosiaalisesta ympäristöstä ja psyykkisestä hyvinvoinnista. Tutkimustulokset auttavat ikääntyneiden asumispalveluiden tuottajia kehittämään asukkaiden fyysisen toimintakyvyn arviointiin ja toimintakyvyn ylläpitämiseen tähtääviä toimintamalleja, joissa huomioidaan ikääntyneiden yksilöllisyyden vaikutus palveluiden toteuttamiseen liittyviin vaatimuksiin. Tutkimustulokset osoittavat, että palvelutaloja ylläpitävien organisaatioiden tulee järjestää asukkaille soveltuvat liikuntatilat ja välineet sisä- ja ulkotiloihin lihaskunto- ja tasapainoharjoittelua varten. Asukkaiden yksilölliset fyysiseen toimintakykyyn, sosiaaliseen ympäristöön ja psyykkiseen hyvinvointiin liittyvät tekijät tulee ottaa huomioon palveluiden suunnittelussa, toteutuksessa ja johtamisessa
