Abstract:

The aim of this study is to investigate family and occupational problems faced by wrestling referees who serving actively at national and international levels in 2018-2019 season. Research group who serving in the national and international levels and a total of 148 wrestling referees constitute in various areas (public, private, other) in Turkey Wrestling Federation 2018-2019 season. Two data collection tools were used in the study. “Personal Information Form” which is five items was used in order to determine the demographic characteristics of the wrestling referees. The second scale is “Social Status Scale for Referees” developed by Albayrak et al. (2012) was used. The internal consistency coefficient (Cronbach Alpha) was examined in order to determine the suitability of the scale to the wrestling referees. and the alpha coefficient was found to be 0.77. In the analysis of the data, percentage (%), frequency, mean and standard deviation values were used. According to the findings, the majority of the referees were married (81,1%) and civil servant (87,2%). It was determined that the referees had an average level of family and occupational life (Mean = 2.65 ± 0.798). In order to increase the performance of the referees, it is recommended to take steps to eliminate these problems.Extended English summary is in the end of Full Text PDF (TURKISH) file. ÖzetBu araştırmada amaç, 2018-2019 sezonunda aktif olarak ulusal ve uluslararası seviyede görev yapan güreş hakemlerinin aile ve meslek yaşantılarında karşılaşmış oldukları problemleri incelemektir. Araştırma grubunu, 2018-2019 sezonunda Türkiye Güreş Federasyonuna bağlı ulusal ve uluslararası seviyede görev yapan ve çeşitli alanlarda (kamu, özel sektör, diğer) çalışan toplam 148 güreş hakemi oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada iki adet veri toplama aracı kullanılmıştır. Birincisinde hakemlerin demografik özelliklerini belirlemek amacıyla beş maddelik “Kişisel Bilgi Formu” ve ikincisinde ise Albayrak ve arkadaşları (2012) tarafından geliştirilen “Hakemler İçin Sosyal Durum Ölçeği” kullanılmıştır. Ölçeğin güreş hakemlerine uygunluğu belirlemek amacıyla iç tutarlılık katsayısına (Cronbach Alpha)’na bakılmıştır ve alpha katsayısı 0.77 olarak bulunmuştur. Verilerin analizinde yüzde(%), frekans, ortalama ve standart sapma değerlerinden yararlanılmıştır. Elde edilen bulgulara bakıldığında hakemlerinin çoğunluğunun evli (%81,1) ve kamu personeli (%87,2) olduğu belirlenmiştir. Hakemlerin aile ve meslek hayatlarında ortalama seviyede (Ort=2,65±0,798) problem yaşadıkları belirlenmiştir. Hakemlerin performanslarının artırılması için bu sorunların ortadan kaldırılmasına yönelik adımlar atılması önerilmektedir.

Abstract:

A new polymorph of bis(2-aminopyridinium) fumarate–fumaric acid (1/1), 2C5H7N2+·C4H2O42−·C4H4O4, was obtained and its crystal structure determined by powder X-ray diffraction. The new polymorph (form II) crystallizes in the triclinic system (space groupP\overline{1}), while the previous reported polymorph [form I; Ballabh, Trivedi, Dastidar & Suresh (2002).CrystEngComm,4, 135–142; Büyükgüngör, Odabaşoğlu, Albayrak & Lönnecke (2004).Acta Cryst.C60, o470–o472] is monoclinic (space groupP21/c). In both forms I and II, the asymmetric unit consists of one 2-aminopyridinium cation, half a fumaric acid molecule and half a fumarate dianion. The fumarate dianion is involved in hydrogen bonding with two neighbouring 2-aminopyridinium cations to form a hydrogen-bonded trimer in both forms. In form II, the hydrogen-bonded trimers are interlinked across centres of inversionviapairs of N—H...O hydrogen bonds, whereas such trimers are joinedviasingle N—H...O hydrogen bonds in form I, leading to different packing modes for forms I and II. The results demonstrate the relevance and application of the powder diffraction method in the study of polymorphism of organic molecular materials.

Abstract:

Abstract In order to determine the flame transfer function of a combustion system only based on isothermal flow field data, three governing mechanisms have been identified which need to be modeled: swirl fluctuations, equivalence fluctuations and velocity fluctuations excited by planar acoustic waves. This study focuses on the generation and propagation of swirl fluctuations downstream of a radial swirl combustor under isothermal conditions. Swirl fluctuations are generated experimentally by imposing acoustic perturbations. Time-resolved longitudinal and crosswise PIV measurements are conducted inside the mixing tube and combustion chamber to quantify the evolution of the swirl fluctuations. The measured flow response is decomposed using spectral proper orthogonal decomposition to unravel the contributions of different dynamical modes. In addition a resolvent analysis is conducted based on the linearized Navier-Stokes equations to reveal the intrinsically most amplified flow structures. Both, the data-driven and analytic approach, show that inertial waves are indeed present in the flow response and an inherent flow instability downstream of the swirler, which confirms the recent theoretical work of Albayrak et al. (Journal of Fluid Mechanics, 879). However, the contribution of these inertial waves to the total swirl fluctuations turns out to be very small. This is suggested to be due to the very structured forcing at the swirler and the amplification of shear-driven modes which are expected to be much more influential for this type of swirler. Overall, this work confirms the presence of inertial waves in highly turbulent swirl combustors and evaluates its relevance for industry-related configurations. It further outlines a methodology to analyze and predict their characteristics based on mean fields only, which is applicable for complex geometries of industrial relevance.

Abstract:

Fanatik Newspaper has been chosen as a sample in explaining the evolution of communication from traditional media to new media tools during the Covid-19 pandemic period, as Fanatik uses both media platforms efficiently. During the pandemic period, in which people didn’t go out or even avoid meeting their relatives, it’s been harder to reach daily newspapers to be informed about developments. After the 1990s, humanity has already become acquainted with internet journalism, which led to a decrease in the purchase of newspapers, and people started following the developments mostly from other platforms such as computers and mobile phones. And the advent of Covid-19 increased people’s dependence to digital platforms as a result of the restrictions implemented by the states. This study includes a video interview with Ömer Necati Albayrak, who has been the editor of Fanatik since 2012, and the data collected about newspapers and online journalism during the pandemic. The meeting was originally planned to be held face-to-face, yet because of the pandemic, it had to be held over Zoom, one of the relatively new media applications. The questions asked in the interview were prepared in line with the location feature that’s in social networks (URL-1). Both qualitative and quantitative analysis methods were used in this study. With the content analysis performed with quantitative methods, information about the circulation and advertising revenues of the newspapers in Turkey in the last ten years were collected. As a result of both studies, it has been recorded that people mostly follow the news from the internet sites, however; the circulation of the newspapers, which declined at the beginning of the pandemic, increased again later. In consequence of the findings, although the evolution of communication from traditional media to new media seems to have been completed during the pandemic, it has been detected those newspapers are preferred more when it comes to advertising revenue.

Abstract:

Erzurum Milli Mücadele tarihimizde oldukça önemli bir yer ve öneme sahiptir. I. Dünya Savaşı yıllarında yaşanılan iki yıllık Rus işgali ve akabinde Ermeni çetelerinin katliamlarının acıları henüz taze iken Osmanlı Devleti’nin imzalamak zorunda kaldığı Mondros Mütarekesi ile ülkenin dört bir yanı işgal edilmeye başlanmıştır. Erzurum’un da her an işgal edilebileceği ve Erzurum dâhil Doğu illerinin Ermenilere verileceği endişesi halkın heyecan ve tepkisini artırmıştır. İşgal acısı ve tehlikesini çok yakından bilen Erzurum ahalisi ülkenin işgaline sessiz kalmamış ve yurdun herhangi bölgesinin işgalini Erzurum’un işgali gibi telakki ederek Milli Mücadele’ye aktif olarak her türlü maddi ve manevi desteği vermiştir. Erzurum halkının milli mücadelede çok aktif ve vatan meselesinde ön planda olmasında 15. Kolordu Komutanı Kazım Karabekir Paşa ve Hoca Raif, Süleyman Necati, Cevat, Sıtkı ve Mithat Beyler gibi Erzurum Müdafaa-i Hukuk Cemiyetinin önde gelen simalarının önemli etkisi vardır. Hiç şüphesiz bu dönemde Erzurum’da çıkan Albayrak gazetesi de bu amaç uğrunda en büyük katkıyı sunmuştur. Erzurum halkının milli mücadele döneminde ülke meseleleri konusunda bilgilenme ve bilinçlenmesinde “Tiyatro” da aktif olarak kullanılmıştır. Özellikle 15. Kolordu Komutanı Kâzım Karabekir Paşa’nın yardım ve yönlendirmesi ile tiyatro çalışmalarına hız verilmiş ve Ocak 1920’de “İbret Yeri” adıyla Millet Bahçesi’nde bulunan gazino tiyatro haline getirilmiştir. Burada ilk olarak “Erzurum’da “Ermeni Faciaları” isimli drama sahnelenmiş, daha sonraları Antep, Maraş mücadeleleri ve İstanbul işgal felaketini konu alan piyesler sahneye konularak Erzurum halkının milli duygularına tercüman olunmuştur. Özellikle Maraş halkına yönelik Fransız ve Ermeni tecavüz ve katliamları büyük tepki uyandırmış ve hazırlanan 7 perdelik “Maraş Cinayetleri” adlı piyesle konu Erzurum ahalisine anlatılmaya çalışılmıştır. İzmir’in Yunanlılar tarafından işgali ve burada yapılan katliamlarla ilgili olarak “İzmir Faciaları (Cinayetleri)” adlı piyesle perdesini açmaya başlamıştır. Açıkça görüleceği gibi Milli Mücadele’nin en karanlık döneminde ülkenin dört bir yanı işgal edilirken Erzurum halkı bir taraftan yaptığı miting ve çekmiş olduğu telgraflarla işgalleri protesto ederken diğer taraftan Kazım Karabekir Paşa’nın öncülüğü ve desteğiyle Türk halkının yaşamış olduğu felaketler tiyatro vasıtasıyla ahaliye anlatılarak, onların bilgilenmesi ve bilinçlendirilmesi için çaba gösterilmiş, tepki ve heyecanlarının canlı ve sürekli olması sağlanmaya çalışılmıştır. Bu bildiride, İbret Yeri adı ile perdelerini açarak Erzurum ahalisinin ülkede yaşanan işgal ve katliam olaylarını öğrenmesine ve bilinçlenmesine hizmet eden tiyatro ve onun faaliyetlerinin ortaya konulması amaçlanmaktadır.
