<p>Em seu ensaio <em>Poesia ingênua e sentimental</em>, Friedrich Schiller apresentou o conceito de poeta ingênuo e poeta sentimental, segundo o qual a produção artística do ingênuo seria resultado do contato direto entre o poeta e a natureza, enquanto a poesia sentimental resultaria da reflexão mediada pela razão, devido à impossibilidade de se travar uma experiência direta com a natureza na modernidade. Considerando os conceitos organizados pelo filósofo alemão, e ainda a definição de gênio, apresentada por ele na mesma obra, o presente artigo tem por objetivo analisar os poemas de <em>O Guardador de Rebanhos</em>, de Alberto Caeiro, a partir dos conceitos de poesia ingênua e de gênio, apresentados por Schiller.<strong></strong></p>

Resumo:Neste artigo pretendemos aproximar reflexões sobre a linguagem apresentadas pelo filósofo Friedrich Nietzsche em seu texto Sobre verdade e mentira no sentido extramoral, e a filosofia pagã do heterônimo de Fernando Pessoa, Alberto Caeiro. Utilizaremos no corpus desta análise o texto de Nietzsche já citado, a obra O Guardador de Rebanhos de autoria de Caeiro, e alguns textos em prosa de Fernando Pessoa, António Mora, Ricardo Reis e Álvaro de Campos. O artigo está dividido em três partes: na primeira, mostraremos as leituras que Pessoa realizou sobre a obra de Nietzsche, no segundo momento mostraremos a dinâmica de linguagem que envolve a filosofia pagã de Alberto Caeiro e suas possíveis relações com a crítica realizada pelo jovem Nietzsche sobre a linguagem e no terceiro momento a relação entre o paganismo de Nietzsche e do mestre Caeiro à luz dos escritos de António Mora, Fernando Pessoa e Ricardo Reis.

O presente artigo tem como principal objetivo comentar e analisar comparativamente duas obras literárias: a obra poética de Alberto Caeiro, heterónimo do ilustre poeta português Fernando Pessoa, e a obra clássica chinesa Dao De Jing (道德经，Dào dé jīng) que está na base da Filosofia Taoista. Deste modo, pretende-se comparar as ideologias interpretadas em ambas as obras, analisando semelhanças e diferenças, de forma a compreender as mesmas e as razões por detrás de tais similaridades e afastamentos. Para tal, ter-se-á sempre em conta diferenças culturais, não só provenientes do facto das obras se encontrarem em países muito díspares e longínquos fisicamente, como também do facto de se localizarem em épocas temporalmente muito distantes.

Enquanto no épico renascentista deCamões, Os Lusíadas, Ulisses é olíder da primeira “comunidade imaginada” (Anderson) que de Portugal se dispersapelo mundo, o Ulisses da modernidade de Pessoa é uma identidade de criatividadeque, sendo ‘mudo’ e ‘brilhante’, representa o despossessado, o sem-nome, e temuma identidade em trânsito. Neste estudo o Ulisses da criatividade de Pessoa e omigrante Alberto Caeiro, seu heterónimo e mestre, são arquétipos dasidentidades diaspóricas e enraízadas do modernista. Como tal, o Ulisses dePessoa e o migrante Caeiro são identidades transnacionais e traducionais cujosdeslocamentos consistem numa “escrita-dupla” (Bhabha) de cultura em portuguêspois, para Pessoa, a poesia moderna é um espaço de interações revelador daambiguidade dos muitos nacionais sem-voz cujas contribuições para a nação nuncachegam a ser reconhecidas; elas estão, no entanto, inscritas no diálogotransversal de Ulisses e Caeiro.

Mestrado em Estudos ClássicosA herança clássica pulula na literatura portuguesa. Neste trabalho, pretende-se mostrar a influência de Lucrécio, poeta latino, nos versos portugueses de Alberto Caeiro, um dos heterónimos pessoanos. Lucrécio, discípulo do grego Epicuro, propaga a filosofia do mestre — o epicurismo — através de uma obra de seis livros intitulada De Rerum Natura. Trata-se de uma teoria materialista e naturalista, baseada nas sensações como meio elementar no processo cognitivo, tal como a filosofia sensacionista de Caeiro, cuja obra se divide em inúmeros poemas, agrupados sob os seguintes títulos: O Guardador de Rebanhos, O Pastor Amoroso e Poemas Inconjuntos. Ambos poetas e filósofos transmitem princípios, valores e atitudes em cada linha dos seus textos, num tom didáctico constante.
The classical heritage drifts in the Portuguese literature. Throughout this essay it is intended to show Lucretius’s influence in the poetry of Alberto Caeiro — being the first a Latin poet and the late Fernando Pessoa’s heteronym. Lucretius, a disciple of the Greek Epicure, spreads his mentor’s Philosophy — epicureanism — through a work of six books entitled De Rerum Natura. The mentioned philosophy is both materialistic and naturalistic, based upon sensations as the primordial mean in the cognitive process. This also happens in Caeiro’s sensationist philosophy. The numerous poems of his work are divided into the following titles: O Guardador de Rebanhos, O Pastor Amoroso and Poemas Inconjuntos. Lucretius and Caeiro, both poets and philosophers, give meaning to principles, values and attitudes in every single line of their works, with a constant educational purpose.

This dissertation aims at analyzing the convergence and divergence between Alberto Caeiro’s poetry, through the book O guardador de rebanhos, and Manoel de Barros’s poetry, through the book O livro das ignorãças, and through the lens of some concepts belonging to the philosophy of language, specially dialogism, comparative literature, and literary theory. We seek to comprehend how these areas of knowledge contribute to the analysis and interpretation of the aforementioned works, and also to the understanding of the dialog between these poetic texts. The adopted methodology consisted of a thorough and critical reading of Manoel de Barros’s Poesia completa, from which we have selected O livro das ignorãças, published in 1993. We strongly believe that this work establishes a relevant dialog with the poetry of Alberto Caeiro, and that the comparative study between both texts not only contributes but also enlarges the knowledge on how O guardador de rebanhos defines itself as interdiscourse in the Brazilian writer’s poetry. Having chosen the books, the next step was to define our objectives according to each poem, taking into consideration the topics of philosophy of visible, negation of thinking, and the nature and perception of God or religiosity. Alberto Caeiro’s poem V and poem XLVI, and the poem Uma didática da invenção have been selected as key but not exclusive texts in their close intertextual relation with the idea of world experience presented by the poets. Regarding the theoretical basis guiding this dissertation, we have selected the theories proposed by Mikhail Bakhtin, Leyla Perrone-Moisés, Wolfgang Kayser, Antonio Candido and Sandra Nitrini. The results obtained by this research show possible influences of Alberto Caeiro’s positioning towards existence in Manoel de Barros’s poerty.
Propomos por meio deste trabalho analisar a convergência e a divergência entre a poesia de Alberto Caeiro no exame do livro O guardador de rebanhos e a de Manoel de Barros em O livro das ignorãças, sob o enfoque da Filosofia da linguagem especialmente do conceito de dialogismo, da Literatura comparada e da Teoria literária. Examinar-se-á como essas áreas do conhecimento auxiliam para a análise e interpretação das obras e para compreensão do diálogo entre os textos poéticos em exame. A metodologia de trabalho consistiu em uma leitura minuciosa e crítica da Poesia completa, de Manoel de Barros. Desta, selecionamos o livro lançado em 1993, O livro das ignorãças, por acreditar que essa obra estabelece um diálogo relevante com a de Alberto Caeiro e que o estudo comparativo entre os dois textos amplia e muito contribui para o conhecimento do modo como O guardador de rebanhos se inscreve como interdiscurso na poesia do escritor brasileiro. Após a escolha dos livros, o trabalho de seleção deu-se para definir os objetivos do estudo a partir dos poemas, considerando neles a filosofia do ver, a negação do pensar, a natureza e a percepção de Deus ou de religiosidade. Justifica-se a escolha dos poemas V e o poema XLVI de Alberto Caeiro e o poema “Uma didática da invenção” como textos centrais, mas não únicos, porque eles mantêm estreita relação intertextual no tocante ao tema do conhecimento do mundo apresentado pelos poetas. Como fundamentações teóricas para esta dissertação foram eleitas as formulações teóricas do círculo de Mikhail Bakhtin, Leyla Perrone-Moisés, Wolfgang Kayser, Antonio Candido e Sandra Nitrini. Os resultados alcançados por meio desta pesquisa apontam possíveis influências que a poesia de Manoel de Barros sofreu perante o posicionamento de Alberto Caeiro em face à existência.

A proposta deste trabalho é analisar a questão do olhar na poesia de Alberto Caeiro e Sophia de Mello Breyner Andresen. Propõe-se, desse modo, pensar duas poesias que se criam sob o signo da existência e em constante relação com o mundo. Os poetas apresentam em seus poemas um ambiente ligado à natureza, construindo um olhar simples e iluminado voltado para o fora, para o real, sem perderem-se em subjetivismos e explicativismos. É sobre este olhar em constante esforço de re-ligação ao real, olhar de convívio com as coisas, que este trabalho busca se deter.This dissertation aims analyzing the question of vision in Alberto Caeiros and Sophia de Mello Breyner Andresen´s poetry. The main purpose is to provide a reflection on the problem of existence discussed by both poetics in its constant relation to the world. As an alternative to more subjective and intricate explanations, Caeiro and Andresen usually present very close descriptions of nature, arising from a simple and revealing perspective, frequently drawn to reality and to the external world. Therefore, it is regarding the act of looking, which attempts at a re-connection to reality that this work focuses on.

Previous issue date: 2016-09-27Fernando Pessoa stands out in worldwide literature, among other features, for having staged the multiplicity of being in an extraordinarily unique way by creating a wide heteronyms gallery. Such proposition is made by the multiplication of personalities, represented by a variety of texts produced in order to justify and organize the existence of several poetic identities, from biographies, letters and poems attributed to each of the heteronyms created. Pessoa is a poet that creates new connections with each heteronym. In this sense, the aim of this study is to analyze the production of Alberto Caeiro, heteronym of Pessoa, as the poet of “becoming”. Our focus is the workThe Keeper of Flocks, whose rhizomatic characteristics lead us to a reflection on the becoming of its production. The concepts of rhizome and becoming, as well as the conceptual notions derived from them are taken from the work of Gilles Deleuze and Felix Guattari, in the volumes of the collected writings A Thousand Plateaus: Capitalism and Schizophrenia (1987). In the analysis, we will highlight the approach of nature, in which sensations and perceptions are considered superior to thinking, in a movement of becoming-nature for the human.
Fernando Pessoa se destaca na literatura mundial, dentre outras características, por ter encenado a multiplicidade do ser de forma extraordinariamente única por meio da criação de uma vasta galeria de heterônimos. Tal proposição é realizada pela multiplicação de personalidades, representadas por uma diversidade de textos produzidos para justificar e organizar a existência de várias identidades poéticas, desde biografias, cartas e poemas atribuídos a cada um dos heterônimos criados. Pessoa é o poeta rizomático, que cria novas conexões a cada heterônimo, não sendo uno, mas múltiplo em um. Objetivamos, nesta dissertação, analisar parte da produção de Alberto Caeiro, heterônimo de Pessoa, como o poeta do devir. Nosso foco é a obra O Guardador de Rebanhos, cujas características rizomáticas nos levam à reflexão sobre o devir em sua produção. Os conceitos de rizoma e devir, assim como as noções conceituais deles derivadas, são tomados da obra de Gilles Deleuze e Felix Guattari, nos volumes da coletânea Mil Platôs: capitalismo e esquizofrenia (1995). Destacaremos, na análise, a abordagem da natureza, em que sensações e percepções são consideradas superiores ao pensar, em um movimento de devir-natureza para o humano.

A pretensão desta dissertação intitulada O duplo significado do sentir e do pensar nas obras de Alberto Caeiro e Descartes é investigar a relação entre o sentir e o puro pensar, usando como referência a poesia O Guardador de Rebanhos, de Alberto Caeiro, que apresenta de forma evidente o tema; e como este assunto é tratado nas Meditações Metafísicas de René Descartes, também de forma claramente visível. Podemos perceber em ambos os autores, uma diplopia, uma espécie de duplo olhar sobre a relação sentir e puro pensar. No primeiro capítulo vou falar sobre a tese do duplo olhar de Descartes, a respeito da relação sentir e puro pensar na leitura de Merleau-Ponty, salientando a visão de natureza. No segundo capítulo, parto da leitura das três primeiras Meditações Metafísicas para caracterizar a tensão que se pode verificar entre Descartes e Alberto Caeiro quando se referem ao puro pensar. O foco principal de Descartes, nas três primeiras Meditações, é o pensar puro, e neste ponto Alberto Caeiro critica o pensar puro. No terceiro capítulo, analisando as três últimas Meditações, percebe-se que há uma virada no pensamento de Descartes, no qual o autor inverte seu ponto de vista, aproximando-se da idéia de Alberto Caeiro. No quarto capítulo, mostrarei a leitura que outros autores fazem acerca do sentir e do pensar na obra de Alberto Caeiro, mostrando que assim como Descartes, este também ostenta uma diplopia, não do sentir, mas do pensar. The pretension of this work entitled O duplo significado do sentir e do pensar nas obras de Alberto Caeiro e Descartes is to investigate the relationship between the feeling and the pure thinking, using as reference the poetry O Guardador de Rebanhos, by Alberto Caeiro, that presents in an evident way this theme; and as this subject is treated in René Descartes' Metaphysical Meditations, also in a clearly visible way. It is possible to notice in both authors, the diplopy, a sort of double look about the relationship between feeling and pure thinking. The thesis about Descartes'double look regarding the relation of feeling and pure thinking, in Merleau-Ponty reading, pointing out the nature vision, will be treated in the first chapter. In the second chapter, I start from the reading of the first three Metaphysical Meditations to characterize the tension that can be verified between Descartes and Alberto Caeiro when they refer to the pure thinking. Descartes' main focus in the first three Meditations is pure thinking and, in this point, Alberto Caeiro criticizes pure thinking. In the third chapter, analyzing the last three Meditations, it is possible to notice that there is an alteration in Descartes' thought, in which the author inverts his point of view, approaching of Alberto Caeiro's idea. In the fourth chapter, I will show the reading that other authors do concerning feeling and thinking in Alberto Caeiro's work, showing that as well as Descartes, this also shows a diplopy, not of feeling, but of thinking.

This work tries to unveil the relations between the Friedrich Wilhelm Nietzsche s thought and the philosophical poetry of Alberto Caeiro, heteronimous poet appurtenant to the Fernando Pessoa s literature. Therefore, we have raised a dense bibliography, which includes from the studies of Professor Eduardo Lourenço (even those he deals exclusively on Pessoa), Georg Rudolf Lind, Américo Enes Monteiro, Antonio Azevedo and others about the subject, and we have attenpted to the Heidegger and Deleuze s interpretations on Nietzsche, not forgetting the attentive and passionate immersion in the works of our philosopher and poet in question, as well as in the libertarian US democrat Walt Whitman, the modernity s poet, who appears here as a primary key access to the interpretations on Alberto Caeiro. From these, beyond other more recent studies, raise the presente search, observing the suspects of Lourenço (1989) about the poetry in the work O guardador de rebanhos (The keeper of sheeps) being a group of key-ideias of the Nietzsche s philosophy, believing so to introduce to this group of searchs important data to understand the heteronymic project in pessoa as a whole, as well the relation of the other creations of Pessoa with the master. It has been investigated the imminence between the philosopher and the poet in themes like amor fati, the natural nature and the tragic nature, the despersonalization, the revaluation of values, among others. Finally, Caeiro is defined as the Pessoa s interpretation of the Nietzsche s Übermensch, to the poet: the most perfect of the animals .
A presente dissertação busca desvendar as relações entre o pensamento de Friedrich Wilhelm Nietzsche e a poesia filosófica de Alberto Caeiro, poeta heteronímico pertinente à lavra de Fernando Pessoa. Para tanto, suscitamos uma bibliografia densa, que engloba desde os estudos do professor Eduardo Lourenço (mesmo os que trata exclusivamente sobre Pessoa), Georg Rudolf Lind, Américo Enes Monteiro, Antonio Azevedo e outros sobre o tema, até à leitura das interpretações de Heidegger e de Deleuze acerca de Nietzsche, resguardada a atenta e apaixonada imersão nas obras de nossos filósofo e poeta em análise, bem como do libertário e democrata estadunidense Walt Whitman, poeta da modernidade, que consta aqui como chave primordial de acesso à obra de Alberto Caeiro. A partir desse espólio, além de outros estudos mais recentes, dá-se, pois, a presente pesquisa, observando as suspeitas de Lourenço (1989) acerca de que a obra O guardador de rebanhos seja um conjunto de ideias-chave para a filosofia nietzschiana, crendo assim introduzir ao conjunto de pesquisas dados importantes para se compreender o projeto heteronímico em Pessoa como um todo, bem como a relação das demais criações pessoanas com o mestre. São investigadas as proximidades entre filósofo e poeta acerca de temas como o amor fati, a natureza natural e a natureza trágica, a despersonalização, a transvaloração dos valores, dentre outros. Por fim, define-se Caeiro como interpretação pessoana do Super-homem propagado por Nietzsche, na voz do poeta: o mais perfeito dos animais .

Este trabalho aborda a linguagem poética de Alberto Caeiro, poeta fictício criado por Fernando Pessoa, cuja obra está reunida nos títulos O Guardador de Rebanhos, O Pastor Amoroso e Poemas Inconjuntos, a partir da ideia de que seu olhar para o real se constitui num processo de indagação sobre os limites do conhecimento e da constituição da experiência humana da realidade, sobre o signo, sobre a natureza da linguagem poética e da linguagem em geral. Para esta reflexão, uso a Semiótica de Peirce, a Lingüística de Saussure, a teoria da linguagem de Benveniste, a poética das sensações de Fernando Pessoa, trabalhos de Perrone- Moisés, além de outros autores, como Seabra, Dessons e Meschonnic. A poesia de Caeiro é interpretada como um embate com os limites impostos pela mediação sígnica, embate que é ao mesmo tempo metáfora dessa poesia e é metaforizada por ela. Consciente da não transparência da linguagem como retrato do real e do pensamento, Caeiro faz dessa condição assunto e instrumento de seu discurso. Nesse processo, a língua é repensada e refundida em seus fundamentos, indo aos limites de sua capacidade de significação e aos limites entre o que é e o que não é poesia e entre o que é e o que não é língua. A noção de arbitrário do signo linguístico e a dicotomia língua e fala são repensadas, com base na ideia de limitação do arbitrário de Saussure e nas ideias de enunciação e discurso de Benveniste. A poesia de Caeiro é tomada no campo da linguagem, e apresentada como resultado de uma operação de homologia entre língua e outros sistemas, tornando-se assim capaz de evocar seu objeto. O discurso poético é interpretado ainda como um dizer que é fazer, mas não é tão particular a ponto de ser um semântico sem semiótico, pois é arte que se faz na língua, no que difere das artes não verbais. A linguagem poética tem a capacidade de acentuar os traços da linguagem em geral, sendo útil para a compreensão do fenômeno linguístico. Caeiro não é um poeta só de sensações, pois a intelectualização faz parte de sua criação e de sua poesia. Não é também o poeta das coisas: o real não é o objeto dessa poesia; é antes meio para veicular a emoção poética que se constrói, além disso, em seu próprio dizer. Coerente com um sujeito feito de aspectos, que tenta conciliar em si a unidade e a multiplicidade do real, a linguagem de Caeiro é constituída de tensões internas. Discursivo e poético integram o seu dizer. O embate de Caeiro é uma busca, mas ele não encontra a solução. Ele é um intervalo de encantamento.This thesis approaches Alberto Caeiro’s poetry, fictitious poet created by Fernando Pessoa, whose work is gathered into the titles The Keeper of Flocks, The Amorous Shepherd and Detached Poems, from the idea that his looking to the real is a process of inquiry on the limits of knowledge and on the constitution of human experience of reality, on the sign, on the nature of poetic language and of language in general. For this analysis, I use Peirce's Semiotics, Saussure's Linguistics, Benveniste's theory of language, Fernando Pessoa’s poetic of sensations, works of Perrone-Moisés, beyond other authors, as Seabra, Dessons and Meschonnic. Caeiro's poetry is interpreted as a struggle against limits imposed by mediation of the sign, struggle that is metaphor of this poetry, which is also metaphor of that struggle. Aware of the non-transparency of language as photograph of reality and thought, Caeiro makes this condition object and instrument of his speech. In this process, the langue is rethought and recast in its fundamentals, reaching at the limits of its capacity to signify and at the limits between what is and what is not poetry, and between what is and what is not langue. The notion of arbitrary of linguistic sign and the dichotomy of langue and speech are reconsidered, based on the idea of limitation of the arbitrary of Saussure and the ideas of enunciation and discourse of Benveniste. Caeiro's poetry is taken in the field of language, and presented as a result of an operation of homology between langue and other systems, thus being capable of evoking its object. Poetic discourse is still interpreted like a saying that it is doing, but it is not so particular in order to be a semantic without semiotic, because it is art that is made into the langue, which differs from the non-verbal arts. Poetic language has the capacity to accentuate the features of language in general, being useful for understanding the linguistic phenomenon. Caeiro is not only a poet of sensations, because intellectualization makes part of his creation and of his poetry. He is not also the poet of things: the real is not the object of this poetry; it is rather a means to convey the poetic emotion that is built, furthermore, on your own saying. Coherent with a subject made of aspects that attempts to reconcile in him the unity and multiplicity of the real, Caeiro’s language is constituted of internal tensions. Discursive and poetic speeches integrate his saying. The fight of Caeiro is a searching, but he does not find the solution. He is a pause of enchantment.

The present work aims to investigate the way in which the poets João Cabral de Melo Neto, Alberto Caeiro and Sophia de Mello Breyner Andresen reconfigure, even if it is in a diverse form, a lyrical tradition founded on the expression of the poet's feelings, when performing a poetry in which subjectivity is circumscribed in favor of an external reality. To the extent that this analysis is based on the construction of poetry characterized by tension, both the Brazilian poet and the Portuguese poets take Cesário Verde as a precursor of their poetry, and this is the first common aspect that they present. From a possible relation between the works of the poets, seen starting from the same ideal of poetry, we seek to understand how the works of the mentioned poets are related in an evident form, such as the dialogue established between João Cabral and Sophia de Mello through the poets' own notes, or, in a secret way, as in the relationship established between João Cabral and Alberto Caeiro, in which the dialogue is created from the analysis, elucidating common aspects between them. For such, we use the text O sujeito lírico fora de si, by Michel Collot (2013), for the analysis of the formative moments of the work of João Cabral, of the complete work of Alberto Caeiro and of the three movements of the work of Sophia de Mello, from her relationship with the Brazilian poet. The approximations established between the three are guided by the decentralization of the poetic subject and the consequent refusal of memory, by the rigor of construction marked by the ideals of absence of the subject, the lucidity and concreteness and, specifically, by the hallucination in the work of João Cabral and Sophia de Mello. From the study of this poetry that differs from the subjective lyric poetry, we can also see the construction of the landscape as a particular case of containment of subjectivity, analysis guided by the work Poética e filosofia da paisagem, also by Collot. Without intending to erase the differences that mark the particularity of the poetic project of each of the poets, it was sought to consolidate the provisions to the contrary according to their own statements, understanding from the analysis a poetry of constitutive interaction that associates poetic state and construction process.
O presente trabalho tem como objetivo investigar o modo como os poetas João Cabral de Melo Neto, Alberto Caeiro e Sophia de Mello Breyner Andresen reconfiguram, mesmo que de forma diversa, uma tradição lírica fundada na expressão dos sentimentos do poeta, ao realizar uma poesia em que a subjetividade é circunscrita em favor de uma realidade exterior. Na medida em que essa análise se baseia na construção de uma poesia que se caracteriza pela tensão, tanto o poeta brasileiro quanto os poetas portugueses tomam Cesário Verde como precursor de suas poesias, sendo este o primeiro aspecto em comum que apresentam. A partir de uma possível relação entre as obras dos poetas, visto partirem de um mesmo ideal de poesia, procura-se depreender como as obras relacionam-se de forma evidente, a exemplo do diálogo estabelecido entre João Cabral e Sophia de Mello por meio dos apontamentos dos próprios poetas, ou, de forma secreta, como na relação estabelecida entre João Cabral e Alberto Caeiro, em que o diálogo é criado a partir da análise, elucidando-se aspectos comuns entre eles. Para tanto, recorre-se ao texto O sujeito lírico fora de si, de Michel Collot (2013), a partir do qual se empreende a análise dos momentos formadores da obra de João Cabral, da obra completa de Alberto Caeiro e dos três movimentos da obra de Sophia de Mello, a partir de sua relação com o poeta brasileiro. As aproximações estabelecidas entre os três norteiam-se pelo descentramento do sujeito poético e pela consequente recusa da memória, pelo rigor de construção marcado pelos ideais de ausência do sujeito, de lucidez e concretude e, especificamente, pela alucinação na obra de João Cabral e Sophia de Mello. A partir do estudo dessa poesia que difere da poesia lírica subjetiva, constata-se também a construção da paisagem como caso particular de contenção da subjetividade, análise orientada pela obra Poética e filosofia da paisagem, também de Collot. Sem a intenção de apagar as diferenças que marcam de forma particular o projeto poético de cada um dos poetas, buscou-se consolidar as disposições em contrário segundo as afirmações deles próprios, depreendendo-se da análise uma poesia de interação constitutiva que associa estado poético e processo de construção.

In this chapter I explore the relationship between Fernando Pessoa and Buddhism. I first introduce the brilliant French philosopher Simone Weil (1909–43), a contemporary of Pessoa but someone of whom he certainly had never heard. One way to read her remarks is as directed against the positional use of ‘I’, against the deployment in thought and speech of a positional conception of self. One should abandon forms of self-consciousness that are grounded in one’s thinking of oneself as the one at the centre of a landscape of sensation. For Weil, it is precisely such contact with reality as attention makes possible which holds the uncentred mind together, preventing its content being ‘a phantasmagoric fluttering with no centre or sense’. The uncentred mind would thus be a sort of conformal and aperspectival map of reality, standing in correspondence with the world without any privileged perspectival point. With these distinctions in mind, we say more of the mind of Alberto Caeiro, and address the question whether he is a Buddhist heteronym.
