Objective. To estimate efficiency and safety of application of a preparation of Aldara (imiquimod, 5% external application cream) it is independent or in combination with cryotherapy in therapy of the basal cell carcinoma of the skin (BCC). Material and methods. Research included 78 patients (22 women and 56 men) with various forms of a basal cell carcinoma of the skin. All patients were divided into 3 groups: the main group (n = 30) the patients receiving therapy by Aldara (imiquimod, 5% external application cream) made, second (n = 21) - the patients receiving therapy by Aldara’s, and also 1

IL-36R signaling plays an important role in the pathogenesis of psoriasis. We ought to assess the specific function of IL-36R in keratinocytes for the pathology of Aldara-induced psoriasis-like dermatitis. Il36rΔK mice presenting deletion of IL-36R in keratinocytes were similarly resistant to Aldara-induced ear inflammation as Il36r−/− mice, but acanthosis was only prevented in Il36r−/− mice. FACS analysis revealed that IL-36R signaling in keratinocytes is mandatory for early neutrophil infiltration in Aldara-treated ears. The only known population of the Aldabra banded snail Rhachistia aldabrae declined through the late twentieth century, leading to its extinction in the late 1990s. This occurred within a stable habitat and its extinction is attributable to decreasing rainfall on Aldabra atoll, associated with regional changes in rainfall patterns in the late twentieth and early twenty-first century. It is proposed that the extinction of this species is a direct result of decreasing rainfall leading to increased mortality of juvenile snails.

A flightless Dryolimnas has been identified from two temporally separated Aldabran fossil localities, deposited before and after the inundation event, providing irrefutable evidence that a member of Rallidae colonized the atoll, most likely from Madagascar
