Abstract:
The biography of Alexander Mikhailovich Mazuritskiy, a prominent Russian librarian, teacher, manager of library education, is discussed. In 1973, upon the graduation from the Moscow State Institute of Culture (MSIC), Mazuritsky took a job at Lenin State Library of the USSR, then he worked as an instructor for the State Republican Juvenile Library. In 1977, he started work at Moscow State Institute of Culture Library, and took the post-graduate program at the Institute. In 1982, A. Mazuritsky defended his candidate’s thesis and became a lecturer. In 1984, he became the associate dean, and in 1993 – the dean of the MSIC Library Department. The author discusses the key research works by A. Mazuritsky on the various aspects of the library history in the WWII period, and analyzes in brief the contents and conceptual conclusions. In 2007, A. Mazuritsky defended his doctoral thesis in pedagogy. The author characterizes the contents and importance of his doctoral paper. He gives credits to Mazuritsky’s effort as a manager of MSIC authority departments. The principles of Mazuritsky’s scholar school are discussed; his followers and students who completed dissertation, are named.

Abstract:
The article deals with the analysis of the M. M. Speransky's letter to Emperor Alexander I, written during the Permian exile in 1813. This source is little known to a wide circle of researchers. The letter bears a loyal character. The author proves his innocence, loyalty to the sovereign and Russia, expresses a desire to be useful to the Fatherland. The circumstances of writing the letter are considered. The Perm letter helps not only to better visualize the nature of the relationship between the emperor and the reformer in 1801-1812, but also to better understand the essence of M. M. Speransky reforms.

Abstract:
Although not developed specifically with musicians in mind, Alexander Technique has come to be associated with musical performers and with the problems of tension they may experience. In this article the author, a cellist and a cello teacher who has herself been helped by therapy based upon Alexander principles, acknowledges the special value that the technique has for musicians and demonstrates this by reference to the needs of string players. She goes on to show how other performers may benefit, and how F. M. Alexander's ideas can be particularly important for singers. She enlarges this view to take in a wider range of musical education and, arguing that singing has, of late, been sadly neglected in schools, illustrates the potential of the Alexander principles through a detailed account of how one child was helped to ‘find her voice’and how, in succeeding, she was able to increase her confidence in many other areas besides music.

In 1931, Frederick Matthias Alexander, founding father of the Alexander Technique, who in 1894 began a career as a full-time stage artist and elocution and breathing teacher launched his book The Use of the Self explaining the history of his discovery of what he called a ―primary control of the psycho-physical mechanisms‖ (Alexander, 1932c). This case study critically describes the chronicle of Alexander‘s claim, notably citing the full text of a yet unreferenced letter to the editor of the Yorkshire Post written by Alexander in reaction to a book review by the young journalist Charles Davy. The case study shows how Alexander and his followers developed a strategy of self-sought isolation

Abstract:
Records of nine Pediciidae and 80 Limoniidae species (10 Limnophilinae, 38 Chioneinae, and 32 Limoniinae) are presented. Seventeen species are recorded for the first time from Azerbaijan and 14 from Georgia, of which 12 species are new to the whole of Transcaucasia. Three species are recorded for the first time since their original descriptions. Four subspecies of the genus Molophilus Curtis, 1833 are elevated to species rank, namely M. AbstractLet Tn be the class of functions f which are defined by a power series f\left( z \right) = z + {a_{n + 1}}{z^{n + 1}} + {a_n}2{z^{n + 2}} + \ldots for every z in the closed unit disc \bar {\mathbb{U}}. With m different boundary points zs, (s = 1,2,...,m), we consider αm ∈ eiβ𝒜−j−λf(𝕌), here 𝒜−j−λ is the generalized Alexander integral operator and 𝕌 is the open unit disc. Applying 𝒜−j−λ, a subclass Bn(αm,β,ρ; j, λ) of Tn is defined with fractional integral for functions f. The object of present paper is to consider some interesting properties of f to be in Bn(αm,β,ρ; j, λ).

Abstract:
Two case studies of different ages, levels of progress, capabilities and backgrounds are investigated in the light of methods employed by F. M. Alexander for inculcating relaxation in actors and musicians (the so-called ‘Alexander Technique’). The various tensions in the two learners, both physical and mental, were identified, the reasons therefor sought, then solutions provided and effected. The process is described in some detail and the development, most specifically regarding the improvement in tone quality, traced through its various stages. Specific Alexander techniques are described, with their in situ applications documented. The positive effects of correct posture are thereby demonstrated.

Abstract:
The publication introduces into scholarly circulation the correspondence of prominent Pushkinists Mikhail Dementiev and Irina Obodovskaya, kept at the Alexander Pushkin State Museum. The central place in the correspondence is dedicated to the discussion of various ways to translate Alexander Pushkin’s letter to his brother-in-law Dmitry Goncharov. The letter which M. Dementiev and I. Obodovskaya found in Russian State Archive of Ancient Acts in 1970 was the result of their many years study of the Goncharov’s archive. The discovery of Pushkin’s genuine letter in the second half of the 20th century was a very important event: 4 pages of Pushkin’s text testify to the extremely difficult financial situation of the poet, in connection with which he was forced to turn to his brother-in-law with a request to borrow 6 thousand rubles for 6 months. This letter contains a constant theme of his correspondence in the 1830s: concern about the growing family, about the future of his children, about the impossibility to dedicate himself completely to poetry and writing and to make a living by literary works. The Pushkinists announced their discovery at the academic event held at the Alexander Pushkin State Museum. The publication presents memories of this evening, preserved by Alexander Krein, the first director of the museum. The article also observes other archival findings of M. Dementiev and I. Obodovskaya. M. Dementiev’s memoirs describing his meetings with an imminent literary and textual critic Tatiana Tsiavlovskaya are published for the first time.

Abstract:
We study various specializations of the colored HOMFLY-PT polynomial. These specializations are used to show that the multivariable link invariants arising from a complex family of 𝔰𝔩(m|n) super-modules previously defined by the authors contain both the multivariable Alexander polynomial and Kashaev's invariants. We conjecture these multivariable link invariants also specialize to the generalized multivariable Alexander invariants defined by Y. Akutsu, T. Deguchi, and T. Ohtsuki.
