Abstract:

As we are flying over Gävle we spot beneath us a big, rectangle, green field. This immediately catches our attention and awakens our curiosity of finding out the purpose and the function of this green field.

Gefle IF is a Swedish soccer team that finds it difficult both to promote itself in a marketing meaning but also just to make people aware of their existence. They tend to be looked at as boring. By studying the culture within Gefle IF and finding out what affect the coach Per Olsson’s leadership has on the team, we will try to give our suggestions of certain changes that could be done to change this. By doing so our hopes are that we can help the team pursue its wishes of being seen by the media and the public. Characteristic of team culture is that it is very unique. The ormation of an organization’s culture is highly affected by factors like the organization as such and it’s character, but also the surroundings and the character of participants and collaborators. According to the coach Per Olsson, the team operates in a positive spirit and points out that they are constantly working on assuring it’s future existence. Good leadership is defined by Soccer coach Hans Backe as working on a long term basis and not to be distracted by obstacles on the road to pursuing one’s goals. A coach must never panic when good results are replaced with bad ones, if you believe in your strategy the results will come eventually. Per Olsson share this point of view as he tries to be consistent in his actions and behavior and not to be distracted by the results or lack there of. Every organization has a/one surroundings in which it operates and with which it tries to cooperate. Any kind of change affecting the surroundings and it’s attitudes will have impact on the organization and it’s structure. Yannick Bapupa has an impact on the team and it’s environment since he started playing in Gefle IF. He has got a charisma and an attitude that has brought postitive changes to the team. More changes like the ones Yannick has added to the team would be favorable to the team in their pursuit of becoming more attractive and interesting in the eyes of the public.

Vi flyger över en stad och ser från luften en stor, rektangulär, grön plätt. Genast blir vi nyfikna på vad denna plätt kan ha för funktion och bestämmer oss för att undersöka saken närmare.

Gefle IF är ett allsvenskt lag som verkar ha det svårt att synas och kan upplevas som försiktiga och tråkiga. Genom att studera Gefle IF:s lagkultur och hur tränaren Per Olssons ledarskap påverkar laget ska vi ge förslag på förändringar som kan genomföras för att göra laget mer attraktivt och intressant. Gemensamt för all organisationskultur är att den är mycket unik. Faktorer som organisationens typ och egenart, likväl omgivningen och medarbetarnas typ och egenart, spelar en viktig roll när organisationskulturen formas. Enligt Per jobbar de mycket med en positiv anda och attityd. I en resultat präglad miljö så är andan och attityden väldigt viktig. Därför är det viktigt att höra strömmingarna i kommunikationen mellan spelarna, att lära sig lyssna av hur snacket går. Ett sätt att definiera bra ledarskap enligt fotbollstränaren Hans Backe är att arbeta långsiktigt och inte låta dig distraheras på vägen mot målet. Få aldrig panik över mindre goda resultat. Tror man på strategin kommer resultaten till slut. En syn som Per Olsson delar där han ser det viktigt att inte vara så upptagen av resultatet. Han försöker vara konsekvent i sitt uppträdande och hålla en linje. Varje organisation har en omgivning som den lever i ett samspel med. Om det sker förändringar som påverkar omgivningen och dess attityder kommer det naturligtvis få genomslagskrafter i organisationen. Yannick Bapupa har påverkat laget och omgivningen sedan han började spela i Gefle IF. Han har en utstrålning och attityd som har förändrat laget positivt. Flera sådana förändringar skulle vara gynnsamt för laget för att göra laget mer attraktivt och intressant.

Abstract:

Användning av bilderböcker är vanligt förekommande på förskolor och är med och bidrar till hur barn uppfattar världen. Därför kan det tänkas viktigt att pedagoger är medvetna om vad olika bilderböcker förmedlar för syn till barnen. I denna uppsats studeras Alfonsböckerna, som räknas som populära bilderböcker, utifrån anknytningsteorin. Syftet är att synliggöra vilket/vilka anknytningsmönster som kan sägas dominera i bilderböcker. Anknytningsmönster är ett begrepp inom anknytningsteorin som handlar om de strategier barn använder för att få så mycket närhet som möjligt från de vuxna som vårdar dem. Metoden som används i denna uppsats är innehållsanalysen, vilken används både kvantitativt och kvalitativt. Innehållsanalysen, som kan användas då syftet är att kartlägga innehållet i en text, används i denna uppsats med syftet att olika sorters anknytningsmönster ska kunna identifieras. Analysen av Alfonsböckerna visar att olika sorters anknytningsmönster är synliga i böckerna och att det undvikande anknytningsmönstret kan sägas dominera (är vanligast förekommande). Det finns en förhoppning om att denna uppsats ska kunna inspirera vuxna bilderboksläsare att börja reflektera kring vad olika bilderböcker egentligen förmedlar ur anknytningssynpunkt.

Abstract:

Although a great deal of documentation on the patronage of Alfonso I d'Este has already been published, music historians and cultural historians have given little attention to Alfonso's style and importance as a patron of the arts. This study aims to marshal the already-available information to examine Alfonso as a patron of music, placing his interest in music firmly within the context of both his other artistic interests and his role in the turbulent political circumstances of his reign. In so doing it adopts analytical tools developed within the fields of cultural and critical theory and current within literary and art history, although thus far only rarely brought to bear on the history of music in what was once called the High Renaissance. In particular, this study looks at Alfonso's patronage through the thematic of identity, seeking to understand the tasks achieved in the construction of the ruler as a princely persona by both large chapel choirs and private music-making. These concerns will be aligned with the demands placed upon Alfonso by the dynastic, political, military and physical context of his reign. In addressing private music-making at Alfonso's court, this study will seek to make unusually extensive use of the decorations of private courtly spaces - which will be found to offer a frame designed quite self-consciously to give meaning to the musical recreations undertaken therein. The resulting picture will substantially revise our current, somewhat haphazard and uncritical view of Alfonso's music patronage, whilst at the same time proposing new ways to read music's meaning at court. Chapters I and II were presented in abridged form at the Medieval and Renaissance Music Conference 2009 in Utrecht. Parts of Chapters III, IV and VI were presented at the Medieval and Renaissance Music Conference 2008 in Bangor, the Royal Music Association's Research Students' Conference 2009 at King's College, London, and the bodies/music conference, Cork, April 2010. Chapter V, in different versions, was presented at the RMA Annual Conference 2006 in Nottingham and the Association of Art Historians' Annual Conference 2008 in London.

Abstract:

La thèse « Ovide dans la General estoria d’Alphonse X » a pour objectif l’étude de la réception du poète latin dans l’histoire universelle conçue au sein de l’atelier dirigé par Alphonse X pendant le dernier quart du XIIIe siècle (ca. 1270-1284). Ladite œuvre prétendait relater l’histoire de l’homme depuis la Genèse jusqu’au règne du roi Alphonse lui-même. La source fondamentale de la General estoria est la Bible. S’ajoutent à la matière biblique diverses notices païennes ou « gentilles » (étrangères au peuple hébreu). Dans les deux premières parties de la General estoria, les sources fondamentales pour les récits gentils sont les Métamorphoses et les Héroïdes d’Ovide. Cet usage est complété par un emploi fragmentaire des Fastes, des Remèdes à l’amour, de l'Art d’aimer et des Pontiques. Nous avons porté notre attention aussi bien sur la méthode de traduction de l’œuvre d’Ovide que sur les techniques de compilation de la General estoria. Ainsi, cette thèse est structurée de la façon suivante : 1) une introduction où nous décrivons les règles qui caractérisent la lecture d’Ovide au Moyen Âge (ch. 1) ; 2) une étude des éléments contextuels du texte latin en trois sections : une étude des accessus, des gloses et des commentaires qui accompagnaient le texte latin dans l’étape médiévale (ch. 2) ; une analyse des œuvres mythographiques qui s’insèrent dans la compilation (ch. 3) ; enfin, la description des caractéristiques qui définissent l’utilisation des œuvres d’Ovide moins employées: les Fastes, l'Art d’aimer, les Pontiques et les Remèdes à l’amour (ch. 4). Finalement, dans le deuxième bloc de la thèse (ch. 5), nous avons fait une analyse exhaustive et détaillée des fragments empruntés aux œuvres d’Ovide dans la General estoria
The aim of the dissertation “Ovid in Alfonso X’s General estoria” is to study the translation of the Latin poet in the universal history conceived within the workshop directed by Alfonso X during the last quarter of the 13th century (ca. 1270-1284). The aforementioned work intended to recount the history of man from Genesis up to the reign of King Alfonso himself. The main source of the General estoria is the Bible. Various pagan or “Gentile” (non-Jewish) notes are added to the biblical material. In the first two parts of the General estoria, the basic sources for the Gentile stories are Ovid’s Metamorphoses and Heroides. This usage is complimented by fragments of the Fasti, the Remedia Amori, the Ars Amatoria and the Epistulae ex Ponto. The study is also centred on the translation method of Ovid’s work as well as on the compilation techniques of the General estoria. Thus, the present dissertation is structured as follows: 1) an Introduction where the rules that characterize the reading of Ovid in the Middle Ages are described (ch. 1); 2) a study of the contextual elements of the Latin text in three sections: a study of the accessus, the glosses and commentaries that accompanied the Latin text in the medieval stage (ch. 2); an analysis of the mythographic works inserted in the compilation (ch. 3); finally; the description of the characteristics which define the employing of Ovid’s less used works: the Fasti, the Remedia Amori, the Ars Amatoria and the Epistulae ex Ponto (ch. 4). In the end, the second part of the dissertation (ch. 5) develops an exhaustive and detailed analysis of the fragments taken from Ovid’s works in the General estoria

L'histoire occupe une place majeure dans l'oeuvre encyclopedique d'alfonso de palencia (1424-1492). Les gesta hispaniensia ex annalibus suorum dierum colligentis, composees de quatre decades et du livre intitule bellum adversus granatenses rapportent l'histoire du royaume de castille de 1440 a 1489, c'est a dire, apres un recit resume des dernieres annees du regne de jean ii (1440-1454), celui duregne d'henri iv (1454-1474) et celui des premieres annees du regne d'isabelle et de ferdinand (1474-1489). Cette premiere histoire castillane concue et composee selon les preceptes de l'historiographie humaniste, porte aussi la marque de la personnalite de son auteur. La premiere partie de cette these. Leben und Werk des berühmten Mäzens König Alfons X. von Kastilien sind vielfach gelobt und getadelt worden. In den letzten Jahrzehnten hat die Forschung dabei insbesondere auf den Widerspruch hingewiesen zwischen dem großen Interesse Alfons’ an orientalischem Wissen und einem friedlichen Wissensaustausch an seinem Hof einerseits und der Unterdrückung religiöser Minderheiten unter seiner Herrschaft andererseits. Doch wie und wo beeinflussten das im Werk Alfons’ dargestellte Weltbild seine politischen Handlungen gegenüber Nicht-Christen (insbesondere gegenüber den Mauren)? Welche Vorstellung und Ausübung von Toleranz war in der Regierungszeit Alfons’ vorherrschend und inwiefern vertrat Alfons den Geist seiner Zeit? Diese Fragen sind geeignet, Zweifel an dem behaupteten Widerspruch zu wecken. Nach seinen Weltanschauungen konzipierte Alfons sein Königreich als Ganzes, wobei die drei religiösen Gruppen in einer klar hierarchisierten Gesellschaftsordnung ihren jeweiligen Platz mit einer jeweils unterschiedlichen Bedeutung zugewiesen bekamen. Sowohl in seiner idealisierten als auch in der realen Gesellschaft war Toleranz für Alfons X. von Kastilien überwiegend eine pragmatische Haltung. Im gesellschaftlichen Bereich verteidigten Mudejaren, Sepharden und Christen des mittelalterlichen Spaniens ihre Identitäten, die sie bedroht sahen, weil die kulturellen Verflechtungen im Laufe der Jahrhunderte sehr stark geworden waren. Und im Ringen um die Bildung und den Erhalt eigener Identität stellen Pragmatismus und Toleranz keinen Widerspruch dar, sondern sind vielmehr Bedingung und Folge des „Zusammenlebens“.
The life and the works of famous patron King Alfonso X of Castile have often been praised and critized. In the last decades, research has particular referred to the contradiction between Alfons’great interest in oriental knowledge und a peaceful exchange of knowledge at his court on the one hand and the oppression of religious minorities under his rule on the other hand. But how and where did the conception of the world as presented in Alfons’ work affect his political actions against non-Christians (especially against the Muslims)? Which conception and practice of tolerance were predominant in his reign and to what extent did Alfons represent the spirit of his time? These questions are suitable to cast doubts on the maintained contradiction. According to his view of the word, Alfonso considered his kingdom as a whole, in which the three religious groups were assigned to their respective place with a different meaning to each in a clearly hierarchical social order. In his idealized as well as in the real society, tolerance was predominantly a pragmatic attitude for Alfonso X of Castile. Within the social field, the Islamic Moors (Mudéjares), Sephardics Jews and Christians of medieval Spain defended their identities which they considered to be threatened, because cultural interconnections had become very strong in the course of centuries. And in the struggle for the formation and preservation of one’s own identity, tolerance and pragmatism do not mean contradiction, but rather a condition and consequence of "living together".
