Abstract:
Il problema principale nello studio dei primi contatti fra drammaturgia italiana e francese alle soglie del Rinascimento è la carenza di fonti. Attraverso una ricostruzione che si avvale di diversi strumenti critici come la bibliografia testuale, la storia della stampa e la linguistica, il presente studio intende superare questa penuria di testimonianze sulla performance della fine del medioevo, ripercorrendo la rete di relazioni culturali sui due lati delle Alpi fra 1464 e 1548, nelle province del nord francese ed a Lione. Le teorie sulla modularità di farse e sottie, (generi dominanti nella Francia del XV e XVI secolo) consentono di stabilire un parallelo di carattere strutturale fra teatro francese e novella italiana; parallelo che a sua volta trova riscontro nella circolazione delle trame e dei plot drammatici. Si sono ricercate le tracce precoci se non dei comici, almeno delle maestranze dello spettacolo italiano, in primo luogo analizzando la permeabilità culturale italo-francese durante le guerre d'Italia ed il teatro come strumento di propaganda; secondariamente prendendo in analisi i dati principali sul flusso migratorio; ed infine, effettuando un confronto fra una curiosa incisione contenuta in un libro d'ore ed alcuni repertori gestuali di epoca successiva. E non si sono tralasciati casi singolari come quello di Giovan Giorgio Alione e Pierre Gringore. Elementi forse noti ma mai raggruppati in un discorso critico unitario e che rivelano una comunanza di interessi fra lettere profane italiane e francesi, tale da costituire un humus in grado di far fruttificare in Francia la cultura del tardo Rinascimento italiano, quella più matura sotto il profilo teatrale
Le problème principal pour l'étude des premiers contacts établis entre dramaturgies italienne et française au début de la Renaissance est la pénurie des sources. Grace à une reconstruction qui utilise plusieurs outils critiques (bibliographie matérielle, histoire de l'imprimerie, linguistique), cette étude voudrait surmonter les lacunes documentaires sur la performance à la fin du Moyen Âge, en reconstituant le réseau de relations culturelles entre les deux côtés des Alpes pour la période 1464-1548 dans le provinces du Nord de la France et à Lyon. Les théories sur la modularité de la farce et de la sottie, (genres dominants en France aux XVe et XVIe siècles) nous permettent d'établir un parallèle structural entre théâtre français et nouvelle italienne ; vérifié également dans la circulation des schémas dramatiques. Nous avons cherché sinon les traces précoces des comédiens, au moins celles des ouvriers du spectacle italien, premièrement en analysant la perméabilité culturelle italo-française pendant les guerres d'Italie (où le théâtre devient un moyen de propagande politique) ; deuxièmement en considérant les données sur la migration des Italiens en France ; finalement en comparant une étrange gravure contenue dans un livre d'heures avec trois répertoires gestuels. Dans ce contexte les cas singuliers d'auteurs comme Pierre Gringore et Giovan Giorgio Alione ne manquent pas. Il s'agit de données en partie déjà connues, mais jamais regroupées dans un discours critique unitaire, qui révèle une concordance d'intérêts entre lettres profanes italiennes et françaises, apte à construire un milieu capable de faire fructifier plus tard en France la Renaissance théâtrale italienne
The essential problem in studying contacts between Italian and French dramaturgy during the early Renaissance is the shortage of sources. By a reconstruction that uses several critical tools such as textual bibliography, history of press and linguistic studies, our thesis wants to transcend this scarcity. In this aim we thought back the net of cultural relationships on the two sides of the Alps between 1464 and 1548, particularly in Lyon and Paris. Theories about farcical modularity (farce and "sotties" are the most important "dramas" in France at our given time) identify a structural analogy in French theater and Italian novels; an analogy that can be also verified in plots' repetitiveness. We looked for traces of all kinds, sometimes not directly linked to the theater, like the presence in the court of Italian arts workers or the general cultural permeability between Italy and France during the Italian Wars, where the theater became an important propaganda device. Then, we analyzed migration data and finally we compared a strange woodcut in a devotional book with three gestural repertoires. In this context we didn't forget singular cases such as Pierre Gringore and Giovan Giorgio Alione. Maybe all these elements are known singularly, but they have never been dealt with together, and we think that in a coherent frame all these phenomenons reveal a common background that permitted the late settling of Italian theatrical Renaissance culture in France

The discovery of extraterrestrial (ET) life would be a revelation of scientific and cultural magnitude that rivals Darwin's theory of evolution and Copernicus's hypothesis that the Earth revolves around the Sun. But while conjecture about the existence of ET life predates industrialism, it is only within the past century or so that technology has developed to the point where humans can add empirical observations to centuries of wondering. With rapid advancements in biological, chemical, and technological science, discovering ET life could be within reach. However, investigations of other planetary environments are still on the edge of technological capability and researchers may need to rely on indirect signs of life to make a detection. These signs may be difficult to interpret. This thesis surveys some of the main techniques and technologies that researchers currently use or are developing to search for alien life. It also teases out some limitations and ambiguity inherent in contemporary data interpretation.

The diploma work deals with the trends in the aviation traffic and the development of main competitors in airlines industry. The first part is focused on the detailed description, evoluation and analysis of the Czech Airlines CSA and its integration into one of the global alliance SkyTeam. It also includes the present status and the future development of this regional carrier compared with big carriers affecting the global air industry. The work is drawn primarily from available information on airline alliances, which are compared in selected aspects of a chosen criterion and show their influence on the national carrier CSA. Comparison is based on the data from last two years.

I Mare Kandres genombrottsroman Aliide, Aliide (1991) lyfts ofta det starka inifrånperspektivet fram som ett karakteristiskt stildrag, även om romanen berättas utifrån tredje person. Denna stilistiska undersökning analyserar rösternas uttryck i syfte att erbjuda en mer detaljerad och djupgående förståelse för Kandres komplexa berättarteknik, och fokuserar huvudsakligen på att klarlägga ett systematiskt mönster över hur Kandre låter huvudkaraktären Aliide komma till tals. Analysen genomförs med en narratologisk och stilistisk begreppsapparat utifrån en dialogisk språkförståelse som situerar språkliga iakttagelser i en kontext. Genom en kvalitativ analys på detaljnivå undersöks rösternas uttryck i anföringsformerna fri indirekt diskurs och direkt diskurs, vilket visar att berättarrösten och huvudkaraktären Aliides röst framträder både parallellt och separat i anföringsformerna. Vidare framkommer hur interpunktion, deiktiska perspektivmarkörer, bildspråk och rekontextualisering påverkar rösternas styrka, expressivitet och intensitet, eftersom dessa konstruktioner aktualiserar innehållet på olika sätt. Analysen visar även hur dessa språkliga konstruktioner synliggör en tät växelverkan mellan inre och yttre perspektiv samt hur rösterna både separeras och sammansmälter i texten, vilket skapar en komplex samverkan mellan berättaren och huvudkaraktären. Undersökningen visar även att den dialogisitet som förekommer i romanen mellan Aliide och främmande yttranden utgör en viktig faktor för att skapa styrka och expressivitet i Aliides röst, då Aliide intar en svarande position som möjliggör en implicit maktkritik i romanen. Den inre alienation och isolering som delvis har präglat den generella tolkningen av innehållet går således att problematisera och ifrågasätta utifrån ett dialogiskt perspektiv.

With the advent of the information technology, the amount of data we are facing today is growing in both the scale and the dimensionality dramatically. It thus raises new challenges for some traditional machine learning tasks. This thesis is mainly concerned with manifold aligned density estimation problems. In particular, the work presented in this thesis includes efficiently learning the density distribution on very large-scale datasets and estimating the manifold aligned density through explicit manifold modeling. First, we propose an efficient and sparse density estimator: Fast Parzen Windows (FPW) to represent the density of large-scale dataset by a mixture of locally fitted Gaussians components. The Gaussian components in the model are estimated in a "sloppy" way, which can avoid very time-consuming "global" optimizations, keep the simplicity of the density estimator and also assure the estimation accuracy. Preliminary theoretical work shows that the performance of the local fitted Gaussian components is related to the curvature of the true density and the characteristic of Gaussian model itself. A successful application of our FPW on principled calibrating the galaxy simulations is also demonstrated in the thesis. Then, we investigate the problem of manifold (i.e., low dimensional structure) aligned density estimation through explicit manifold modeling, which aims to obtain the embedded manifold and the density distribution simultaneously. A new manifold learning algorithm is proposed to capture the non-linear low dimensional structure and provides an improved initialization to Generative Topographic Mapping (GTM) model. The GTM models are then employed in our proposed hierarchical mixture model to estimate the density of data aligned along multiple manifolds. Extensive experiments verified the effectiveness of the presented work.

Tämä tutkielma käsittelee Ancient Aliens -televisiosarjasta välittyviä arkeologikuvia. Kyseisessä televisiosarjassa pyritään todistelemaan muinaisastronauttiteoriaa, jonka mukaan maapallolla on vieraillut älyllisiä olentoja maapallon ulkopuolelta ja, jotka ovat vaikuttaneet ihmislajin kehitykseen. Ancient Aliens -televisiosarja on osa pseudoarkeologian kirjoa. Pseudoarkeologialla tarkoitetaan näennäisarkeologiaa, jolle tyypillistä on tieteen kriteerien laiminlyönti sekä vihamielinen asenne akateemista arkeologiaa kohtaan. Tutkielman tarkoitus on täten lisätä tietämystä pseudoarkeologiasta ja sen vaikutuksista arkeologien imagoon. Tutkielman aineisto koostuu Ancient Aliens -sarjan jaksoista, joista olen suorittanut ositetun otannan. Ohjelman välittämiä arkeologikuvia hahmotetaan ohjelmassa esiintyvien arkeologien puheiden sekä muun muassa heidän visuaalisen ulosantinsa kautta. Myös sarjassa esiintyvä arkeologeja koskeva verbaalinen viestintä on huomion keskiössä. Tutkielmassa käydään läpi myös Ancient Aliens -televisiosarjasta välittyvien arkeologikuvien ajalliset muutokset. Lopuksi tutkielman aineistosta havaittuja arkeologikuvia verrataan aiemmissa tutkimuksissa havaittuihin arkeologikuviin. Keskeisenä tutkimusmenetelmänä tutkielmassa on sisällönanalyysi, jonka avulla laajasta aineistosta tehdyt havainnot on luokiteltu ylä- ja alaluokkiin. Tutkielma antoi monenlaisia tutkimustuloksia. Arkeologit esitettiin pätevinä menneisyyden selittäjinä, mutta myös epäpätevinä työhönsä. He näkyivät myös homogeenisena ryhmänä, joita sävytti mm. seikkailija- ja etsijästereotypiat ja heidän keskeisiä tutkimuskohteitaan olivat kaukaiset ja ajanlaskun alkua edeltävät kohteet. Myös koloniaalista luonnetta esiintyi. Arkeologit olivat harvemmin tekemisissä teknisten laitteiden tai ajanlaskun jälkeisten kohteiden kanssa. Sarjan arkeologit olivat usein keski-ikäisiä ja pukeutuivat keskiluokkaisesti. Huippukausi arkeologeja koskevassa retoriikassa ajoittui sarjan puoliväliin 2013 vuodelle. Arkeologeja koskeva retoriikka näyttäisi kuitenkin olevan lievässä nousussa 2016 vuodelle tullessa. Yhtäläisyyksiä tutkielmassa sekä aiemmassa tutkimuksessa havaittujen arkeologikuvien välillä on arkeologien koloniaalisen luonteen, sekä etsijä ja seikkailija-assosiaatioiden välillä. Eroavaisuuksia sen sijaan ilmeni muun muassa siinä, ovatko arkeologikuvat muuttumassa sukupuolisesti tasa-arvoisempaan suuntaan. Tutkielman perusteella harva Ancient Aliens -sarjan arkeologikuvista oli realistisia, saati ongelmattomia. Toisaalta myös positiivisia representaatioita ilmeni — silloin kun se pseudoarkeologeille oli hyödyllistä. Arkeologien esittäminen ohjelmassa oli siis hyvin valikoivaa ja myös eri arkeologeja arvottavaa. Arkeologien tulisi suhtautua Ancient Aliens -sarjaan vakavuudella, sillä ohjelmaa katsoo noin 1–2 miljoonaa ihmistä per jakso, mikä tarkoittaa, että ohjelman kautta kyetään välittämään arkeologeja koskevia viestejä laajalle kuulijajoukolle. Ohjelma on myös jatkunut jo 11:n tuotantokauden verran, eikä loppua ole toistaiseksi näkyvissä. Toisaalta arkeologia on keskiössä ohjelmassa, jolloin arkeologia tieteenä saa osakseen mainostusta ja voi täten saada ihmiset kiinnostumaan tieteenalasta ja motivoitumaan etsimään siitä lisää tietoa. Parempi vaihtoehto voisi kuitenkin olla pyrkiä vastustamaan Ancient Aliens -sarjan arkeologikuvia. Tämä voisi onnistua arkeologian tehokkaammalla popularisoinnilla, sekä mediakriittisyyden lisäämisellä ihmisten keskuudessa
This thesis handles the images of archaeologists from Ancient Aliens -television series. In this television programme, ancient astronaut -theory is attempted to be proven. Ancient astronaut -theory claims that Earth have received intelligent visitors from outer space which had influenced mankind’s history. Ancient Aliens -series is a part of pseudoarchaeology which often neglects scientific criteria and holds hostile attitude towards academic archaeology. This thesis attempts to add knowledge about pseudoarchaeology and its impacts to the image of archaeologists. Research material consists of episodes of Ancient Aliens -series. Images of the archaeologists are perceived through the speeches and appearances of the archaeologists. Also, the verbal communication that handles archaeologists is in focus. This thesis also handles the secular changes of representation of archaeologists in Ancient Aliens -programme. Lastly the results are compared with earlier research of images of the archaeologists. The main research method in this thesis is content analysis. This thesis gave many kinds of results. Archaeologists were portrayed as qualified but also incompetent researchers of the past. They were portrayed as a homogenic group with adventurer and searcher stereotypes. Their main research targets were pre-calendar and exotic sites. Colonial image wasn’t also untypical. More seldom archaeologists were working with technological devices. Archaeologists of Ancient Aliens -programme were often middle-aged and were dressed in blouse. Top season of representation of archaeologists was around year 2013. However, rhetoric that handles archaeologists seems to be in slight increase in most recent seasons. There were much similarities with earlier researcher. Both stated that archaeologists were represented as a colonialists and searcher-adventurer associations were typical. Differences appeared whether the image of the archaeologists is changing into sexually more equal. Research results claim that few of the archaeologist images were realistic nor problem-free. However, the positive representations also occurred — when it was beneficial to pseudoarchaeologists. In this sense, representation of archaeologists was selective and archaeologists were evaluated. Archaeologists should be concerned about Ancient Aliens -programme. The show is being watched by 1–2 million people per episode which means that through this programme people can send their messages to a large group. The show has also continued long and currently there is no end in sight. However, archaeology is in the centre in this show, which means that archaeology receives advertising which can lead people to gain interest of it. Better alternative could still be trying to resist the show and its representations. This could happen by popularising the archaeology more effectively and by adding the critical thinking among population

Neste trabalho são apresentados estudos em três diferentes sistemas utilizando-se as técnicas de Ressonância Paramagnética Eletrônica (RPE) e absorção eletrônica. No primeiro estudou-se a formação dos possíveis complexos entre o aminoácido aliina, extraído do alho, e o íon cobre (II). Os dados de RPE e absorção eletronica no visível (400-1100 nm) foram utilizados para caracterizar os diferentes complexos obtidos. No segundo utilizou-se o monocristal do complexo dicloro bis (benzil difenil fosfinóxido) Cobre (II) e efetuaram-se medidas de RPE variando-se a direção de aplicação do campo magnético no monocristal. Os auto-valores encontrados para as componentes do tensor g¯ foram: g1= 2,0891; g2= 2,4554 e g3= 2,0767. Com base nos dados de RPE e cristalográficos e usando a teoria de campo cristalino foi proposto dxy como estado fundamental para o íon cobre (II) neste complexo. Fez-se também um estudo preliminar observando-se as variações no centro ativo de hemoproteínas moduladas pelo grau de hidratação. Metahemoglobina bovina e metamioglobina eqüina liofilizadas foram usadas e o sinal de RPE do íon ferro (III) monitorado. Dos espectros de RPE das duas proteínas são observadas pelo menos duas simetrias para o íon ferro (III), uma axial caracterizada por um valor de g próximo de 6 e outra caracterizada por g= 4,3 correspondendo a simetria rômbica. A intensidade dos sinais mostrou-se muito sensíveis ao grau de hidratação. Metahemoglobina e metamioglobina apresentaram comportamentos distintos dos sinais de RPE e sugeriu-se serem eles devido as diferenças estruturais entre as duas proteínas
In this work studies in three different systems using Electron Paramagnetic Resonance (EPR) and eletronic absorption techniques are presented. The formation of possible complexes between the amino acid aliin, extracted of garlic, and the copper (II) íon was studied in the first work. EPR and visible eletronic absorption (400-1100 nm) data were utilized to characterize the different complexes obtained. In the second work a crystal of the complex dichloro bis (benzyl diphenyl phosphinoxide) copper (II) was used and the EPR measures were made for different directions of application of the magnetic field in the crystal. The eigenvalues obtained for the g¯ tensor components were: g1= 2,0891; g2= 2,4554 and g3= 2,0767. Using EPR and crystallographic data and crystal field theory dxy was proposed as the ground state of the copper (II) íon in this complex. A preliminary study was also made observing changes at the active Center of the hemeproteins modulated by the hydration degree. Lyophilized bovine methemoglobin ande quine metmyoglobin were used and the EPR signal of the iron (III) íon monitored. Or both proteins the EPR spectra corresponding to at least two iron symmetries were observed, one axial characterized by a g value near 6.0 and another characterized by g= 4,3 corresponding to rhombic symmetry. The intensity of these signals were very sensitive to the hydration degree. Metmyoglobin and methemoglobin showed distint behaviors of the EPR signals and it was suggested that they were due to structural differences between the two proteins

This dissertation’s main purpose is twofold, on the one hand it gives new insights into the construction and meaning of Lewis Carroll’s Alice books, on the other hand it makes a contribution to the field of cognitive narratology, furnishing a complete practical example of the application of cognitive narratology’s tools to a relevant literary work. I take the Alice books as a case study to illuminate the working of cognitive narratology as an interdisciplinary project, relying both on classical narrative studies and on methods taken from the cognitive field. This focus also serves a synthetic view of cognitive narratology itself, which is in its essence a combination of the revaluation of classic narrative concepts and the introduction of new ones. A useful theoretical concept to give a general understanding of my methodology as the tying together of different overlapping approaches, is the idea of the Alice books as a cognitive playground, a huge mental landscape where different intellectual suggestions and speculations coexist with experientiality and affections. Wonderland and the Looking-Glass land are thus presented as fantastical cognitive playgrounds where different minds interact with each other creating the big and complex aesthetic space of the literary text. Each of my chapters examines a specific topic in relation to the minds of the author, the readers and the characters. After a preface and a first chapter outlining the main theoretical currents of cognitive narratology and pointing out the special fit of the Alice books for this kind of analysis, the subsequent chapters are: “Virtual Alice”, “Mirrored Alice”, “Emotional Alice”, and “Unnatural Alice”, each of them offering different, although interconnected, insights into the peculiar dialogue which can be established between the Alices and the cognitive narratological approach.

Visually impaired (VI) individuals struggle with grocery shopping and have to rely on either friends, family or grocery store associates for shopping. ShopMobile 2 is a proof-of-concept system that allows VI shoppers to shop independently in a grocery store using only their smartphone. Unlike other assistive shopping systems that use dedicated hardware, this system is a software only solution that relies on fast computer vision algorithms. It consists of three modules - an eyes free barcode scanner, an optical character recognition (OCR) module, and a tele-assistance module. The eyes-free barcode scanner allows VI shoppers to locate and retrieve products by scanning barcodes on shelves and on products. The OCR module allows shoppers to read nutrition facts on products and the tele-assistance module allows them to obtain help from sighted individuals at remote locations. This dissertation discusses, provides implementations of, and presents laboratory and real-world experiments related to all three modules.

A partir da análise do filme Alice nas Cidades do diretor alemão Wim Wenders, formulo questões sobre o cinema e as imagens, problematizando a relação do olhar na sociedade moderna. Tendo em vista que somos constantemente submetidos a uma proliferação incessante de imagens, em consequência disso temos também sofrido a perda de um olhar mais atento, que possa questionar os códigos visuais e possibilite uma visão crítica em relação a eles. Sendo o cinema a base da pesquisa, meu suporte teórico principal é a filosofia do cinema de Gilles Deleuze, de modo que as propostas criadas por ele em Cinema 1: A Imagem-Movimento e Cinema 2: A Imagem-Tempo fundamentam a grande maioria dos capítulos deste trabalho. Primeiramente procuro entender os principais conceitos sobre as imagens cinematográficas formulados pelo autor em Cinema 1, em que ele trabalha apoiado nos filmes e nos diretores do que ele intitula cinema clássico, e a partir do qual ele desenvolve sua teoria da imagem-movimento e suas variações; logo, analiso Cinema 2, livro em que Deleuze trabalha a partir do intitulado cinema moderno, e descreve como este se enquadraria dentro do que ele chama de a imagem-tempo. A seguir, me concentro em entender o porquê de considerar Alice nas Cidades um filme mais ligado a imagem-tempo do que a imagem-movimento. Faço também referência à inter-relação entre cinema e história, bem como desenvolvo analogias entre fragmentos do filme e outras formas de expressão como a literatura, fotografia e as artes plásticas, de forma a tramar uma análise abrangente do filme, onde as relações improváveis viraram possibilidades de leitura.

La maggior parte degli insediamenti urbani si trova in prossimità delle coste e più del 50% della popolazione vive entro 100 km dal mare. Questo significa che l’ambiente marino è fortemente influenzato dalle attività antropiche e, per questo, è necessario creare un piano di gestione degli ambienti costieri, in quanto la resilienza dell’habitat marino dipende dall’uso sostenibile degli ecosistemi marini urbani. Lo scopo dello studio è quello di analizzare la distribuzione spaziale e temporale delle specie native e aliene, presenti sulle banchine del porto-canale di Ravenna. Sono stati analizzati i popolamenti intertidali di 6 siti lungo il canale Candiano dal 2016 al 2018 nei mesi di maggio. I risultati hanno illustrato un gradiente terra-mare a partire dai siti più interni lungo il porto-canale. Le specie più abbondanti identificate sono i due mitili Mytilus Galloprovincialis (specie nativa) e Xenostrobus securis (specie invasiva); queste specie si avvicendano nelle stazioni centrali del Candiano e si cedono il posto a vicenda: la specie nativa rimane nelle acque esterne e meno impattate mentre quella invasiva resta nei siti interni più soggetti a disturbi di vario tipo, come quello antropico. La terza specie più numerosa è Sphaeroma serratum, isopode nativo del Mediterraneo, presente da sempre nelle zone lagunari del ravennate; in questo studio è stato rinvenuto nelle stazioni più interne, che potrebbe sfruttare come rifugio da possibili competitori. I risultati hanno mostrato l’abbondanza e la diversità delle specie, indigene e non ,del porto di Ravenna: su un totale di 71 taxa diversi, le specie aliene rappresentavano il 17%; queste sono state rinvenute soprattutto nei siti di campionamento più interni, dove sono presenti condizioni più limitanti e sfavorevoli per le specie native. Inoltre, è stato osservato come la diversità specifica aumenti lungo il gradiente mare-terra, considerando le zone con maggiore diversità anche quelle con maggiore specie aliene.

Le document qui suit se compose de deux parties: un texte de création et un texte réflexif. La partie création se présente comme un roman dans lequel j'ai voulu représenter l'acte de saisie par lequel la conscience ordonne les événements pour créer du sens. Il s'agit d'une expérience perceptive et cognitive qui rejoint un certain courant de pensées post-moderne qui veut que les choses n'existent pas seules mais à travers la perception de l'individu qui est lui-même pris dans un système de relations entre les signes auxquels il réagit avec sa sensibilité. Le réel qui accède à la conscience est nécessairement filtré par des données culturelles et émotionnelles interagissant sur l'imaginaire et la mémoire du sujet. C'est à partir de cette visée théorique que j'ai donné la parole à deux narratrices enfermées chacune dans son monde intérieur. Aline et Pauline. La narration qui s'exerce dans un présent actuel, s'étend sur une période d'un an. Elle se compose par bribes d'histoires, par reflets de vérité s'ordonnant sans médiation externe. Un roman donc où l'individu, pris en flagrant délit de désir, de peur, de peine, etc., est amené à réagir au réel qui le sollicite dans l'espace même de sa parole. Le discours des deux femmes ne pouvait s'organiser, dès lors, qu'en fonction de leur culture, de leur capacité d'abstraction, de leur intelligence mais aussi en fonction des passions et des émotions qui les habitent. La partie réflexive se propose, dans un premier temps, de dresser un bref tableau de la question de la perception et de la cognition sous son angle philosophique. On y verra, principalement, comment les dispositions personnelles des sujets ont des implications directes sur la notion de vérité. Dans un deuxième temps, une analyse tendra à observer et à démontrer les effets du regard sur la trame anecdotique et discursive du texte. On verra, entre autres, comment s'opère la distorsion des informations sous l'action des passions. On verra aussi comment l'émotion, cette réalité de l'être tenue au silence, finit par disqualifier l'imaginaire et tous les systèmes de représentation.

Cette étude a principalement pour but, en premier lieu, de révéler la signification des contradictions de la pensée sadienne. Elle remet en cause l'idée reçue, dans les recherches sur Sade, que ses personnages libertins représentent exclusivement la morale et le système philosophique de l'auteur. On a souvent taxé Sade de libertinage, mais quand on se penche sur ses œuvres d'avant la Révolution, on constate qu'elles confrontent plusieurs morales et plusieurs courants d'idée prégnants au XVIIIe siècle. L’analyse de la vision du monde de chaque camp idéologique nous amène à penser que Sade a distribué son discours philosophique dans chacun d'entre eux. Surtout son roman par lettres, Aline et Valcour, lui permet d'instaurer une dialectique entre ses diverses opinions représentées par les libertins, les sentimentaux et les personnages "neutres". En deuxième lieu, nous nous sommes demandé quelle pouvait être la visée de l'auteur en théâtralisant une morale multiple. On peut parler de la pédagogie sadienne qui laisse la liberté au lecteur de choisir une des morales proposées. Une étude de l'esthétique montre toute l'originalité de cette démarche : Sade cherche à heurter la sensibilité et à éveiller ainsi la conscience de son lecteur, en inversant les valeurs morales et esthétiques. Ainsi le système philosophique et la morale de Sade détiennent une forte cohérence qui repose sur la peinture encyclopédique du monde et sur le refus du despotisme de l'auteur.

Abstract:
English/language arts (ELA) is one of the core content areas of the general curriculum. Through ELA instruction, students gain a means for accessing and understanding the various forms of text they encounter in daily life as well as skills in research and communication. The overarching goals of ELA focus on effective communication, including comprehension: a goal critical to students with significant disabilities. Typical ELA curriculum creates opportunities for students to communicate in different contexts, for different purposes through exposure to culturally diverse text (Browder & Spooner, 2014). The challenge in developing language-arts instruction for students with significant disabilities, however, is that they may have few skills to engage with text (Mims et al., 2012). Recent research has helped to bridge the gap between the incoming skill set of individuals with a significant disability and the gains in effective literacy skills, communication, writing and comprehension skills. This presentation will highlight some of the most recent research that features strategies for providing meaningful-access, grade-aligned fiction and nonfiction text depicting diverse cultural and socioeconomic themes, but adapted for greater student access. Highlighted strategies will include a discussion of how grade-aligned adapted books and systematic instruction such as response-prompting strategies, error correction, positive reinforcement, data collection and graphic organisers can promote student gains in literacy, communication, writing, student-led research and comprehension across Bloom’s Taxonomy. In addition, this presentation will discuss ways to meaningfully adapt grade-appropriate text for students who have limited-to-no reading ability, as well as provide resources for fiction and nonfiction texts that have already been adapted. There is a wide variety of drivers for business process modelling initiatives, reaching from organisational redesign to the development of information systems. Consequently, a common business process is often captured in multiple models that overlap in content due to serving different purposes. Business process management aims at exible adaptation to changing business needs. Hence, changes of business processes occur frequently and have to be incorporated in the respective process models. Once a process model is changed, related process models have to be updated accordingly, despite the fact that those process models may only be loosely coupled. In this article, we introduce an approach that supports change propagation between related process models. Given a change in one process model, we leverage the behavioural abstraction of behavioural profiles for corresponding activities in order to determine a change region in another model. Our approach is able to cope with changes in pairs of models that are not related by hierarchical refinement and show behavioural inconsistencies. We evaluate the applicability of our approach with two real-world process model collections. To this end, we either deduce change operations from different model revisions or rely on synthetic change operations.
