Abstract:
Over the course of the recent decade, the composition of Alsineae has been drastically changed by means of molecular phylogeny. However, the genus Brachystemma has not been sampled in any of the previous studies, and its phylogenetic position is still pending. In addition, the related species Stellaria ovatifolia, which has at times been placed in Brachystemma, Schizotechium, or Stellaria, has also not been sampled. Here, nuclear ribosomal internal transcribed spacer (ITS) and four plastid regions (trnL-F, matK, rbcL, rps16) were used to conduct phylogenetic analyses within Caryophyllaceae and the tribe Alsineae. Ancestral characters (petal margin and number of seeds) were reconstructed in the tribe Alsineae based on the phylogenetic results. Our results indicate that Brachystemma is nested in the tribe Alsineae and forms a monophylum with S. ovatifolia, and apically lobed petals and numerous seeds may be the ancestral characters in the tribe Alsineae. Based on our study, Stellaria ovatifolia should be considered within Brachystemma, and Brachystemma is clearly a separate genus and now includes two species.

Abstract:
The main structure of this work is based on the classical proposals of the artist's life and work. This was the first step to reach because it had not been made before with Ramon Marí Alsina.
Martí Alsina has always been considered one of the great reformers of the Catalan painting, the one who recovered the way to create without following the academic requirements as a committed teacher. From this position he developed his own pedagogy, creating a new school.
He also was one of the most important figures involved in the collaboration with the cultural recuperation of Catalonia, but he had not been object of any doctoral thesis.
Martí Alsina had been object of numerous articles in artistic magazines and he also appears in all Catalan painting publications of general interest. Matrí Alsina's biography, written by Joaquim Folch i Torres in 1920, has been the reference book to approach and study him. But it was necessary to go further, and this became our aim.
Due to the complexity of studying the painter we structured the thesis in three volumes.
The first contains a biographical itinerary revised with the new contributions we have extracted from a part of the family archive that the painter's descendants have put at our disposal. In this part we make a deep immersion in his personality, his life, his family, the journeys, the exhibitions and the critics of the period. We also focus on his social commitment with the city, in both artistic and political aspects, on his intimate vision of his thought and fight. To illustrate this first part we have picked up some quotes directly from his handwritten notes, which we completely transcribed in the documental appendix of the third volume.
The second part of this first volume wants to be a chronological artistic itinerary from the criticism, how his life comes off manifested in his work through the progressive style, the treatment of the genres, analysis and comments of the most important works, the exhibitions and the influences that we have been able to establish making some comparisons with other artists of his period, especially from France.
The second volume is an approach to the painter's catalogue, and we propose the word "approach" because we do not intend to convert this thesis into a complete catalogue, but into an approximate collection of the best works that we have been able to study including some pieces well known.
The last volume is an appendix where we present the transcription of a part of the family's unedited archive, documentation that we have had the privilege of consulting and studying. These writings bring us the possibility to discover Martí Alsina as a writer and poet, aspects unknown until now and that they really show us his idiosyncrasy as a person and artist. We also include administrative and personal documentation that we have been able to find along this research.

Abstract:
Reprogramming technology of somatic cells in induced pluripotent stem cells (iPS) now offers the opportunity to model neurodegenerative diseases and to study patient’s neurons. We used this technology for generating two models of neurodegenerative diseases: the muccopolysaccharidosis type IIIB (MPSIIIB) and the ALS2 form of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). In the MPSIIIB model, we have shown that iPS and neurons of patients had characteristic defects of the disease such as the accumulation of storage vesicles. Alterations of the Golgi apparatus in these cells were also highlighted. Transcriptome analysis of MPSIIIB neural precursors showed transcriptional changes involving particularly genes implicated in cell-extracellular matrix interactions. Thus, in a subsequent study, alterations of migration and orientation of MPSIIIB mutant mouse cells and MPSIIIB patients’ cells have been demonstrated. These alterations may be responsible for the disruption of neurogenesis and neuritogenesis in sick children. In the ALS2 model, we have shown that patients’ neurons had defects including decreased endosomes’ surface and abnormal neurite outgrowth. As there was previously no relevant cellular model reproducing the disease, this model will now allow the study of physiopathological processes involved in the disease. In conclusion, the generation of iPS cells allows to model neurodegenerative diseases and to study associated physiopathological processes on cultured human neurons. These cell models could allow in the near future the screening of molecules of potential therapeutical interest

The main objective of this work is addressed, from different angles of analysis, the ways that a person can use the tools of law. Abstract:
This chapter extends the s-structure analysis of Deictic SVCs in Barayin to semantically similar constructions in Choctaw (Broadwell 2000) and Wambaya (Nordlinger 2010). Both languages have morphemes expressing directionality or associated motion that combine with a verb as a co-predicate. Previous LFG analyses have treated these as cases of predicate composition based on work of Alsina (1993) and Butt (1995), and both have used Lexical Conceptual Structures (Jackendoff 1990) to model the semantic composition. In this chapter, the constructions are reanalyzed as cases of argument sharing in a connected s-structure. The semantics of the Choctaw motion co-predicates suggests an alternate conceptualization of motion meaning in s-structure, and this alternate view is applied to Barayin and Wambaya.

Abstract:
Researchers have posited different types of engagement, distinguishing between behavioral, cognitive, and affective engagement and theoretical frameworks have helped explain the psychological aspects of engagement. However, game researchers should examine all types of engagement using multiple methodologies as a means to understand what students are learning from educational games during game play. Conclusive results require psychological aspects and learning characteristics to be considered, but also require a deeper understanding of the intricate links between learning and game mechanics for engagement. This article presents the findings from a qualitative study with thirty participants that focuses on the importance of affective and cognitive engagement during game play with educational games. To do this, the researchers used Ferran Alsina, a game that would help to develop learning competences of primary education skills. Researchers obtained the experiences of students through a game play session, basic game metrics, think-aloud protocol, observation and focus groups. Results shows that the game provided participants an active participation associated with both affective and cognitive engagement. Without attention to cognition the atuhors risk losing valuable data that relate to a student's learning. Researchers should consider multiple qualitative methodologies and game play experience analysis as student experiences are qualitative.

Abstract:
The aim of this study is to conduct a bibliometric analysis of articles related to environmental education in early childhood (EEEC). The sub-objectives of the study were to determine the distribution of studies on EEEC by years, the most used keywords, the most cited articles, the most active researchers, the most cited journals and the most active collaborating countries. Bibliometric analysis methods were used in the research. Bibliometric mapping analysis was preferred to provide visual representations of the relationships between the main concepts. The data were obtained from the Web of Science (WoS) database and the 191 articles accessed because of filtering were analysed using VOSviewer software. As a result of the research, it was determined that studies on EEEC have increased over the years.
