Abstract:
The fluoride removal agents of SiO2-Al2O3spherical particles were prepared using aluminum powder and sodium silicate as the main raw material by sol-gel method. The samples were characterized by XRD analysis method, and several influencing factors of fluoride removal performances had been studied, such as the content of SiO2, calcinations temperature, calcinations time, pH values, etc. The results showed that the adsorption capacity of SiO2-Al2O3increased with the content of SiO2increasing in the range of 0 to 12%. The best calcination temperature is 500 °C, and the best calcination time is 1

Abstract:
Sealing as a post treatment of anodized aluminum is required to enhance the corrosion resistance by filling nanopores, which allow the penetration of corrosive media toward the base aluminum. We designed a mixed sealing solution with nickel acetate and ammonium fluoride by modifying traditional nickel fluoride cold sealing. The concentration of mixed sealing solution affected the reaction rate of sealing and corrosion current density of anodized aluminum alloy. The higher concentration of mixed sealing solution improved the sealing rate, which was represented by a decrease of corrosion current

Fluoride host materials doped with trivalent cerium ions have previously been demonstrated as successful laser materials in the ultraviolet wavelength region. However, the nonlinear optical properties of the fluoride hosts in this wavelength region have not been investigated yet, although nonlinearity could result in undesirable effects such as self-focusing and pulse distortion when these fluoride materials are used as gain media in high-power, ultrashort pulse laser oscillator and amplifier systems. In this work, the nonlinear refractive index of lithium calcium aluminum fluoride (LiCaAlF6),

At present, it is relevant to study simultaneous combined impacts exerted by chemicals on developing adverse health effects. It is also becoming vital to search for molecular indicators of adverse effects with the altered expression level. This alteration makes it possible to determine peculiarities of molecular and cellular pathogenesis mechanisms regarding a number of non-communicable diseases under exposure to a mixture of chemicals. Our research goal was to comparatively analyze and identify identical omic-markers of adverse effects under experimental and actual combined aerogenic exposure

Submicron single-phase yttrium aluminum garnet (Y3Al5O12, YAG) powders were fabricated by solid-state reactive heat-treating a mixture of pyrolysis product, heat-treating isopropyl aluminum at 500°C, and yttria (Y2O3) powders. The powders were mixed by ball milling for 2~3 h doped with 5wt% aluminium fluoride (AlF3), and then heat-treated at 1200°C for 2~5 h. Characterized by XRD, mixing the powders by ball milling and doped with AlF3 lowered the heat-treating temperature and made the forming of YAG phase be single.

The paper presents the investigation of the solid solutions formation in the fluoride system Na5Al3F14-Na3AlF6-K3AlF6 with the addition of LiF. Two local regions were under consideration. The first case concerns the possibility of potassium and sodium cations replacing with lithium in the elpasolite (K2NaAlF6) when LiF is added to the electrolyte. In the second, the effect of lithium fluoride on the chiolite (Na5Al3F14) was studied. The investigation was motivated by the need to control the composition of the electrolyte during the electrolytic production of aluminum. The electrolyte samples w
