Abstract:
<strong>Abstract:</strong> In order to leverage the relationship with alumni, universities strive to create an environment in which alumni would feel comfortable connecting, being part of the community, and realizing their volunteer and philanthropic potential. Such an environment also helps the university establish traditions of alumni relations that can ultimately lead to the achievement of the university's strategic goals, a sizable financial support and an active alumni community that broadcast success, knowledge and philanthropy. We started by surveying alumni about how much they were willing to be involved in supporting the alumni association, and how much time and money they were willing to invest. This article provides a short analysis of the literature on which the methods were selected, and the results of interviews with graduates were formed. The study was held in October 2023, stratified sampling method was used with five focus-groups. The article also contains information about the university, recommendations for future researchers and possible limitations. The findings suggest that future analysis of Kazakhstani alumni engagement should encompass the following elements: volunteer activities, fundraising, communication in social networks, and professional education. The results of this study could serve as a foundation for formulating communication strategies for young universities in Kazakhstan concerning their alumni relations. Tantangan atau kendala alumni juga penting diketahui agar mahasiswa Pendidikan Sosiologi UM lebih mempersiapkan diri menghadapi seleksi PPG Prajabatan. Jenis penelitian yang dilakukan adalah kualitatif deskriptif. Responden penelitian berjumlah 11 orang alumni Pendidikan Sosiologi UM. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara. Data dianalisis menggunakan model analisis interaktif yang terdiri dari pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan verifikasi atau penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penguasaan materi yang tidak maksimal dapat menjadi salah satu tantangan internal dan pelaksanaan tes subtantif yang jauh dari domisili menjadi tantangan eksternal alumni Pendidikan Sosiologi UM. The results of the research showed that material mastery that is not optimal can be one of the internal challenges and the implementation of substantive tests that are far from their domicile is an external challenge for alumni of UM Sociology Education.

The study suggests that improvements in digital platforms, structured mentoring programs, and enhanced alumni recognition can foster stronger engagement and participation. The era of globalization and technological advancement has driven the growth of the automotive sector as one of the strategic pillars in meeting mobility needs and improving the community's economy. The high interest of the Enrekang community in private vehicles creates opportunities as well as challenges in the form of the need for competent automotive workers. Responding to this challenge, BAZNAS Enrekang organizes an automotive training program based on community empowerment by integrating Islamic values ​​and a holistic approach. This study aims to analyze the monitoring and evaluation strategies implemented by BAZNAS towards automotive training alumni. The research method uses a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation, then analyzed thematically. The results of the study indicate that monitoring strategies, such as direct visits, online communication and periodic reporting, have a positive impact on supporting the sustainability of alumni skills. Alumni who received intensive assistance succeeded in developing independent businesses, although challenges such as limited resources, geographical constraints and lack of technological innovation are still obstacles. Becoming an alumnus marks the beginning of life for students in their pursuit of employment. Career orientation is the primary goal for graduates to develop the knowledge and skills they have acquired during their studies, although alumni often face challenges in finding jobs. Competition and problems in the job market are common occurrences. Issues frequently arise in the quest for stable income without relevant solutions. Moreover, companies sometimes view alumni as lacking sufficient experience in their fields, thus limiting their opportunities to achieve their career goals.This study aims to explore the experiences of Tour and Travel alumni in seeking employment within the tourism industry, both in formal and informal sectors. The research focuses on understanding the challenges faced by alumni, the relevance of the skills acquired during their studies to labor market demands, and the strategies used by alumni in their efforts to secure suitable employment. This study employs a qualitative method, conducting interviews with several alumni to gain insights into the challenges and strategies they encounter as they enter the workforce. The results of the study revealed that most alumni face various challenges, such as intense competition in the tourism industry, a lack of practical work experience during their studies, and market dynamics that have shifted due to technological advancements and the impact of the pandemic. In addition to technical skills like travel management and customer service, non-technical skills such as communication, negotiation, critical thinking, and adaptability are highly sought after by companies. Some alumni recognize the need to develop networks and participate in additional training or certifications to enhance their competitiveness in the job market. While some alumni struggle to find jobs in the tourism sector, many successfully find employment in other fields that require similar skills, such as hospitality, logistics, and event management. This research provides recommendations for educational institutions to strengthen internship programs and increase collaboration with the industry. Additionally, alumni are advised to continuously update their skills and leverage digital opportunities in their job search.

The Alumni Nexus website project was developed to strengthen the connection between alumni and students of the College of Engineering. The platform provides a space for alumni to stay updated on events, engage with the community, and mentor current students. Key aspects of the project included research on existing alumni websites, ensuring data accuracy, and improving the onboarding and login process. Feedback from over 40 registered users highlighted challenges in the registration flow, which were addressed to enhance accessibility. Design suggestions were also implemented to improve user experience. Overall, the project fosteredbetter alumni engagement and demonstrated the value of continuous feedback for website development. Abstract:
This research sought to assess how external communication is employed for purposes of motivating alumni to support their former public secondary schools. It sought to reveal the preferred modes of external communication to alumni by school administrators; the factors that influenced the choice of these communication methods; and the influence these modes had on alumni participation. Public secondary schools in Zambia make up 87% of the total population of secondary schools but experience resource challenges, worsened following implementation of free education policy through increased student enrolments. Despite termly government funding ranging between K237,000 per school with the most streams per grade, to K96,000 per schools with the least, as well as access to Constituency Development Fund, challenges have persisted, necessitating the need for alternative funding from stakeholders, including alumni. Descriptive survey design was used, where structured questionnaires were distributed to 51 randomly sampled school administrators. Data was analysed using SPSS to compute descriptive and inferential statistics. Social media topped the means of communication among 78% of respondents. Availability of contact details for alumni, M=4.68, SD=0.769, was the highest factor influencing effective communication. For all respondents, 59% believed that engagement improved due to strategic communication. By event type, communication frequency significantly associated with alumni engagement at r = 0.715. Event attendance highest, M = 4.79, SD = 0.859, then promoting the school in public spaces M = 4.66, SD = 0.872, followed by donation to fundraising initiatives, M = 4.50, SD = 0.549 and volunteering in school programs, M = 4.16, SD = 0.588. Challenges included obsolete alumni databases and inadequate technological infrastructure for effective communication. Recommendations included strengthening digital communication infrastructure, improved contact management systems and crafting communication based on alumni preferred communication modes.

Abstract:
This article discusses the role of Alumni of the PAI Study Program in preparing for the demographic bonus in the era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method, aiming to analyze the contributions of PAI alumni in addressing the opportunities and challenges posed by the demographic shift. The research results show that PAI alumni play a role in shaping religious perspectives, motivating social change, and adapting to industrial transformations. However, challenges remain, such as the need for balanced time management, frequent policy adjustments, and alignment with technological advancements. The implementation of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) in the community is influenced by several structural, substantive, and cultural factors. Structurally, the effectiveness of alumni contributions depends on the availability of competent guidance personnel. Substantively, the alignment of educational policies with contemporary societal needs affects implementation. Culturally, the support of families and communities enhances the impact of alumni efforts. Addressing these factors collectively fosters a more holistic approach to religious education in the era of Industry 4.0. The success of alumni contributions is also supported by active participation from parents, families, and communities. By ensuring a collaborative effort in religious education, the role of PAI alumni in optimizing the demographic bonus can be more effective and sustainable.

Abstract: Medical school fundraising from alumni offers some unique challenges in higher education. Studies have shown that the student experience of undergraduate alumni tends to influence their philanthropic behavior as alumni. However, the experiences of graduate level professional training in medical school can be very different from the undergraduate alumni experience. This study begins to identify the specific characteristics of individual alumni donors to a public medical school within a large, research-intensive university. Using regression analysis, this research suggests potential predictors of philanthropy from alumni to academic medicine. In practice, this research suggests that giving to graduate schools may not follow the same patterns that exist among alumni donors to undergraduate education. The demographic data that informs decisions about alumni outreach and engagement should reference past philanthropic outcomes in order to maximize giving among similar constituent groups. This case study outlines the key variables to consider.

The development of an Alumni Information System based on a Website is an effective solution in managing information and data regarding an institution's alumni. Issues related to non-systemic and manual information dissemination, as well as challenges in gathering alumni data, are expected to be resolved by this system. It is anticipated that this system will facilitate alumni in connecting and interacting. The aim of this research is to develop an effective and efficient alumni information system to enhance alumni engagement and participation in institutional activities. The research follows a waterfall model involving various stages, starting from needs analysis, design, implementation, testing, to maintenance. The developed alumni information system includes features such as alumni profiles, current news and information, job vacancies, and alumni activities. This system is implemented in the form of a website using the CodeIgniter framework. Testing results using black box testing indicate that this system effectively manages various data and information crucial for alumni. Alumni using this system can easily access and update their profile information, as well as connect with fellow alumni and the institution. For future research, it is hoped that a more flexible information system can be developed, perhaps in the form of a mobile-based application.

The University of Sydney’s Alumni Festival represents a transformative approach to their alumni engagement, driven by a strategic vision to reignite alumni pride and foster deeper connections. Spearheaded by a dedicated team of advancement professionals, the festival was conceived in response to challenges such as a significant number of ‘lost alumni’ and disengagement among the 30–49 age group. The festival aimed to create a vibrant, inclusive event that resonated with diverse alumni demographics. Key strategies included leveraging Sydney’s cultural affinity for festivals, securing broad institutional support and designing unique, interactive experiences. The festival featured exclusive tours, family-friendly activities and nostalgic events, all tailored to re-engage alumni. A comprehensive marketing campaign, emphasising inclusivity and leveraging internal partnerships, successfully raised awareness and drove participation. The inaugural festival exceeded expectations, achieving high registration numbers, reconnecting with lost alumni and fostering a renewed sense of community. Post-event surveys indicated strong alumni satisfaction and a desire for future participation. This paper analyses how festival’s success underscores the importance of innovative, data-driven approaches to alumni engagement and sets a new standard for future initiatives.

Abstract:
This research aims to evaluate the effectiveness of website-based tracer studies in collecting data on educational institutions and their alumni. The research methodology employed is A quasi- experimental design, specifically a Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design, was employed to establish cause-and-effect relationship. The result indicates that 20% of teachers met the minimum completeness criteria using the web-based application, while 80% did not. The experimental group showed improvement form pre-test to post test, meeting the minimal criteria for completeness. Challenges included difficulties in contacting alumni, which impacted data collection. The study concludes that while the web-based tracer study application is effective, challenges in alumni engagement need to be addressed for better data collection.

Abstract:
This community service activity aims to develop and implement an alumni database system at SDN 207 Apala as a digital solution in managing alumni data. This digital innovation is expected to facilitate schools in monitoring the development and contribution of alumni more efficiently and in a structured manner. The method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive approach, with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of this database system increases efficiency in data management, accelerates the process of inputting and updating alumni information, and strengthens the communication network between schools and alumni. However, the challenges faced include limited technological infrastructure and the need for further training for school staff. Overall, this study makes a real contribution to the development of digital innovation in the world of education, especially in terms of alumni data management

The topic is marginally explored in Polish scientific literature and the perspective of other countries enables application due to specific characteristics. The discussion in the paper is adjusted to conditions specific to Poland and is focused on organizations of a certain type.

This research is originated from the main problem that is, the lower organizational effectiveness. Human is the main factor in gaining an organization's success to achieve its objectives. In line with the position of ASMTB alumni in determining the success of the college and the implementation of human resources, there are problems and challenges that must be faced. The alumni of ASMTB require coaching and internal coordination to achieve effectiveness. It was found that the effectiveness of alumni performance is still low and it can be inferred from the existence of the alumni who are less concerned about ASMTB and the alumni who do not register as alumni because until now it is only 10% graduates were involved in the alumni tresshold. The problem indicators appear caused by internal coaching and coordination that has not been implemented optimally. The results show that there is a simultaneous effect of 47.3% regarding the internal coaching and coordination. Testing indicates that the partial effect on the variance of coaching effectiveness of 21.2% and a partial internal coordination variables influence the effectiveness of the work which is determined by 24,2%.

Student mentoring is widely adopted in academia to build engagement and enhance achievement levels. Mentoring is typically carried out by faculty advisors at institutions and shown to be effective in different academic settings. For professional development and enhancing career skills, mentoring of students by alumni has rapidly gained traction, due to its effectiveness. Alumni mentoring is now an established best-practice at all the top universities globally and is being replicated across institutions. However, very few case studies on the implementation and effectiveness of Alumni Mentorship Programs exist in the Indian context. We present a case study on the formulation and implementation of an alumni mentoring program from a higher technical education institution at Jammu, India. A formal Alumni Mentoring Model supported by active intervention by institute personnel is proposed. The study indicates that alumni mentoring when implemented in a structured manner has significant positive impact on student outcomes in the medium and long-term. Quantitative and qualitative analysis of data from 56 student mentees and 10 alumni mentors over a one-year engagement period reveals interesting insights into mentor and mentee perceptions, experiences, quantum of improvement in student performance, challenges and areas for improvement.

Abstract The training and education of future madrasah heads are one of the government's efforts to improve the quality of madrasah education. However, during the implementation of this training, there has been no documentation of the number of training alumni who have been appointed as madrasa heads, as mandated by Minister of Religious Affairs Regulation No. 24 of 2018. Yet, the implementation of this training requires considerable resources in terms of both time and finances. This evaluation study aims to qualitatively assess the outcomes of the training and the effectiveness of the alumni in their roles as madrasa heads. Conceptually, the survey measured two main parameters: (1) Evaluation of the training program for prospective madrasa principals, and (2) Performance of madrasa heads. The survey respondents consisted of alumni of the training program from 2018 to 2021 and madrasah educators, with limited characteristics and numbers. The research findings indicate that the alumni who have been appointed as madrasa principals have performed exceptionally well, as they have demonstrated relevance and effectiveness in addressing the challenges faced in the field. According to the alumni and madrasah educators, the performance of madrasa heads is rated as very good. The qualitative research findings also suggest that the process of appointing madrasa heads has followed the procedures established by Minister of Religious Affairs Regulation No. 24 of 2018, although there are some challenges that have hindered the appointment of several alumni as madrasa heads. Abstrak Diklat calon kepala madrasah merupakan salah satu usaha pemerintah dalam meningkatkan mutu madrasah. Namun selama pelaksanaan diklat tersebut, belum ada pendataan jumlah alumni diklat yang sudah terangkat sebagai kepala madrasah sebagai implementasi Peraturan Menteri Agama No 24 Tahun 2018. Padahal pelaksanaan diklat ini membutuhkan biaya dan waktu yang tidak sedikit. Penelitian evaluasi ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan memperdalam hasil dari diklat yang telah dilakukan dan apakah kinerja dari para alumni diklat efektif. Secara konseptual, parameter yang diukur dalam survei ini terdiri dari 2 parameter besar, yaitu (1) Evaluasi Diklat calon kepala madrasah, dan (2) Kinerja Kepala Madrasah. Responden survei ini adalah alumni diklat calon kepala madrasah 2018-2021 dan tenaga pendidik madrasah, dengan karakteristik dan jumlah yang terbatas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa alumni diklat yang telah diangkat menjadi kepala madrasah berada pada kategori Sangat Baik, karena telah relevan dan sesuai tantangan yang hadapi di lapangan. Menurut para alumni diklat dan tenaga pendidik kinerja kepala madrasah Sangat Baik. Hasil penelitian kualitatif menunjukkan bahwa proses pengangkatan kepala madrasah sudah mengikuti prosedur yang telah di tetapkan oleh PMA Nomor 24 Tahun 2018, meskipun ada beberapa kendala yang membuat beberapa alumni Diklat masih belum di angkat menjadi kepala madrasah.

This research departs from the challenges and adaptation processes undertaken by international students from Indonesia. The research aims to provide a deep understanding of the scholarship alumni in Europe’s academic life during their studies. This research adopts a constructivist paradigm with a qualitative case study approach. The data collection in this research uses purposive sampling techniques with in-depth interviews and the data analysis uses thematic analysis. The subjects are European university alumni from Indonesia who have completed their studies within the past 5 years. There are four themes: study abroad fantasies, a touch of foreign cultures, academic problems and challenges, and academic strategies or solutions. There are also problems and challenges encountered such as academic constraints, stress, and weather. Scholarship alumni in Europe have strategies to adapt, such as traveling while studying, self-management, having a support system, and establishing social interaction with Indonesians. The findings and results can become a foundation document for donors, sponsors, scholarship providers, and the Indonesian Embassy in European countries in creating strategic programs as a provision for students in their studies.

For a long time, the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA)’s principle of amateurism, the concept that student-athletes should not profit from their name, image, and likeness (NIL) while competing in collegiate athletics, was strongly upheld. However, it quickly became a challenge for the NCAA to defend its principle of amateurism after thousands of advocates, including universities and student-athletes themselves, began to criticize the NCAA. Finally, after decades of fighting for more equitable rights for student-athletes, the NCAA made a change to its NIL Policy as a result of two major landmark cases. The NCAA, however, now faces another challenge amidst this major achievement for student-athletes: NIL Collectives. Organizations created by prominent alumni, boosters, and businesses, NIL Collectives function separately from the colleges or universities. But NIL Collectives seem to inherently be school-specific, as they are built by the alumni and school supporters who create the collective. Recently, NIL Collectives have begun engaging in recruiting actives that explicitly go against the NCAA prohibition against “pay-for-play” by inducing student-athletes to attend and play at the college or university with which the collective primarily works. This has led to unfair recruiting advantages in collegiate athletics between power schools and smaller schools without the support from prominent alumni and businesses. In an effort to level the playing field amongst the larger and smaller schools, this paper evaluates a potential solution for the unexpected issues the NCAA faces because of NIL Collectives.

This study aimed to develop a web-based tracer study platform designed to enhance the employability tracking and alumni engagement efforts of St. Paul University Philippines (SPUP). Recognizing the limitations of manual graduate tracking and the static nature of the university’s existing alumni page, the research sought to offer a digital solution that supports efficient data collection, improves communication with alumni, and provides administrators with actionable insights for academic and institutional development. Employing a descriptive-developmental research design, the study used the Agile Scrum methodology in building the system and applied the ISO/IEC 25010 Software Quality Standards to evaluate its performance. Feedback from IT experts and administrators highlighted the platform’s functionality in areas such as alumni registration, employment data management, news dissemination, and event engagement. Evaluation results indicated that the system complied with all eight ISO/IEC 25010 quality dimensions to a very great extent, including usability, performance efficiency, security, and maintainability. The developed platform addresses the core challenges of fragmented alumni data, limited interactivity, and lack of real-time engagement. It enables both administrators and alumni to interact through a centralized, secure, and user-friendly system. The study concludes that the platform is a viable institutional tool for supporting data-driven decision-making and fostering long-term alumni relationships. Further recommendations were made to enhance content management features and expand system coverage in future implementations.

OBJECTIVES/SPECIFIC AIMS: Leadership is an essential and recognized team science competency. To support the development of leadership skills at Mount Sinai, the LEAD (Leadership Emerging in Academic Departments) program, launched in 2016, delivers a structured 12-month blended learning program for junior faculty. The program aims to promote personal and professional leadership capacity, skills and behaviors. Following a competitive application process, 24 participants each year are selected to participate. In its second year, the challenge for the LEAD program leadership is to support alumni in fostering a culture of leadership that extends beyond the 12-month program. In order to promote a leadership community of practice and offer continued support to junior faculty, the LEAD Alumni program aims to bring former LEAD participants together to maintain motivation, share challenges and successes, meet with mentors and role models, and foster an ongoing community of practice that seeks to embed evidenced-based leadership culture at Mount Sinai. METHODS/STUDY POPULATION: The previous two cohorts of LEAD participants were approached to volunteer for the LEAD Alumni Forum working group. Four LEAD alumni came forward to form a self-selected working group. With input from the program leadership, the alumni working group is tasked with organizing regular events that bring the 48 previous LEAD participants together. The events provide the opportunity for individuals with expertise and a passion for leadership to create a supportive environment. This ultimately seeks to increase the transfer and utilization of leadership skills in practice, and promotes a culture of leadership. These alumni events also provide the opportunity for alumni to interact with senior leaders at Mount Sinai, thereby learning from role models within the organization. RESULTS/ANTICIPATED RESULTS: Evaluating learning transfer and culture change is challenging, so a number of proxy measures will provide insight into the success of the Alumni Forum. Firstly, the number of LEAD Capstone projects implemented in practice, and the success of these initiatives, will provide insight into transfer of leadership learning to practice. Secondly, participants will complete a validated survey tool, Leadership Programs Outcome Measure (LPOM), which explores self-reported leadership change at a personal, organizational and community level. Finally, participants will be followed up in the long-term to track promotion, awards, and other formal or informal leadership positions assumed following engagement in the LEAD program and the subsequent LEAD Alumni Forum. DISCUSSION/SIGNIFICANCE OF IMPACT: It is hoped the LEAD Alumni program will enhance the ability of participants to implement leadership knowledge and skills to practice, which may subsequently advance organization and culture change. Fostering a community of practice will further the reach of the LEAD program and as the number of LEAD alumni grows, and the Alumni Forum may provide the supportive environment that allows these individuals to have real impact.

Lombok Tourism Polytechnic is a tourism vocational education institution in Lombok that has a vision of becoming a higher education institution in the vocational field with international standards, an Indonesian personality, and a mission to produce tourism human resources that are internationally competitive. However, based on graduate tracer study data held by the Lombok Tourism Polytechnic in 2022, it is noted that the Lombok tourism industry has a low absorption capacity for Lombok Tourism Polytechnic student alumni. Based on this description, this research aims to determine the factors influencing Lombok Tourism Polytechnic alumni finding work in Lombok’s star hotel tourism industry. This research uses a qualitative approach to look for internal and external inhibiting factors using the method of interviewing external parties to find out external inhibiting factors and distributing questionnaires to students to find out internal inhibiting factors. The results of this research show that based on eight criteria that influence the work readiness of alumni of the Lombok Tourism Polytechnic room division study program, the internal factors that hinder Lombok Tourism Polytechnic alumni from getting jobs at star hotels in Lombok are 36% of alumni answered that the industry criteria. The high number and 28% of alumni answered that there were limited job vacancies in West Lombok and Bali, and the challenges faced by alumni which were factors preventing them from being absorbed in the hotel industry were the work environment and language.

This writing aims to analyze the factors for implementing change actions and can contribute to efforts to improve the implementation of change actions through an understanding of the factors that cause the low level of implementation of change actions for alumni of Administrator Leadership Training participants, organized by the Research and Development Agency and Education and Training Center of the Indonesian Ministry of Religion. This writing uses quantitative and qualitative methods through a review of related documents, namely the post-training evaluation report, which presents questionnaire data including informants covering three parties, namely alumni as owners of change actions, alumni superiors as mentors and training organizers, while data obtained through interviews by authors are 9 people including namely alumni as owners of change actions and alumni superiors as mentors. the writing show that from an implementation perspective there are internal factors, consisting of low willingness; seriousness; and motivation; as well as alumni communication with limited work teams and external factors, consisting of the unavailability of IT personnel; the absence of infrastructure and budget support; unequal perception between participants and stakeholders on the supporting data; and the lack of attention from direct superiors as mentors. This study aims to analyze the impact of entrepreneurship education received by students of Akademi Komunitas Manajemen Perhotelan Indonesia on their entrepreneurial skills after graduation. Focusing on alumni from various study programs, the research employs a descriptive qualitative method to deeply explore the experiences and challenges faced by alumni in starting and managing their businesses. The sample consists of 10 randomly selected alumni, and data are collected through semi-structured interviews. Analysis is conducted using a thematic approach to identify patterns related to the application of entrepreneurial skills acquired during their studies. The results indicate that entrepreneurship education at the campus significantly contributes to enhancing the practical skills of alumni in entrepreneurship, such as the ability to identify business opportunities, manage risks, and innovate. Additionally, the majority of alumni reported that the entrepreneurship courses provided a strong foundation in business management and decision-making. However, the study also found that some alumni faced difficulties in applying theory to practice, especially in adapting to dynamic market conditions. These findings offer important insights for educational institutions to evaluate and develop entrepreneurship curricula to be more relevant and applicable to current industry needs. With the COVID-19 pandemic, the realities of challenges regarding communication about health are emerging in families, communities, organizations and governments, and among health professionals. Electronic book developer which is one of the new professions based on Undang-Undang Nomor 3 Tahun 2017 Sistem Perbukuan. This research is to explain about business incubation on a digital application called Alfamedia.ID as an alternative in empowering alumni affected by COVID-19 with an entrepreneurial digital platform. This Polimedia alumni affiliation is a combination of alumni from various study programs at Polimedia who are affected by Covid-19 starting from light levels such as remote work from their respective employees' homes for an undetermined time limit to severe levels such as being laid off from work or in other words being laid off. This application is designed to serve client demands for creative products in the publishing sector such as audio books, electronic books, interactive digital books, augmented reality assisted children's books and services for creating interactive multimedia learning media. In this study, researchers used qualitative research with a case study. A case study which essentially examines the life of one or several communities, organizations or individuals which is the unit of analysis. Community empowerment is a process of developing opportunities, motivation, and the ability of the community to have more access to resources. The meaning of tracer study as an appropriate method for search for information about alumni. Based on the implementation and evaluation of community empowerment activities, it can be concluded: 1. The implementation of this community empowerment has resulted in a ready digital platform operationalized for publishing entrepreneurship activities for alumni affected by Covid-19. 2. The alumni team involved in the Alumni Affiliation of Polimedia needs to be further developed in order to reach alumni from other study programs who are also affected by Covid-19.

Abstract:
Purpose The purpose of this paper is to explore how Mongolian alumni of three different scholarship programs sponsored by governments of Japan and Mongolia view their role in national development after graduation. Design/methodology/approach This paper reports findings from a phenomenological study (Creswell, 2007) – the first phase of an exploratory sequential mixed-methods study in a recent PhD study. Based on semi-structured interviews with 24 alumni the study aimed to understand alumni’s perspectives in their voices. Findings Alumni were motivated to contribute to their communities, institutions, economic, political, social and legal conditions of Mongolia. However, they faced various structural challenges including getting jobs in the public sector even when they had binding agreements with employers. The findings call for long-term support for alumni projects and hubs as well as policy frameworks that tie the scholarship programs with national development goals. Originality/value Despite the high mobility rate of Mongolian scholars and a long history of Japanese Official Development Assistance to develop human resources in developing countries especially in Asia, little is known about the impact of these programs on the Mongolian national development. Through the phenomenological study, this study expands the understanding of ways in which alumni contribute to their national development.

This tracer study collects information and analyzes the profiles of alumni of the Computer Science undergraduate study program at UIN North Sumatra. The method used in this research is a descriptive method that will describe the alumni profile. Data collection in this research used an online survey method by distributing a questionnaire consisting of several questions as the main instrument. The aim of this research is to evaluate the effectiveness of the UIN North Sumatra Computer Science undergraduate study program in providing education and preparing graduates who are competent and ready to work and to evaluate the quality of education received by alumni during the study period. This research analyzes the suitability of alumni to market needs by distributing questionnaires to assess the Cumulative Achievement Index obtained by alumni at the end of their studies, the length of the alumni's study period, the length of the alumni's waiting period to get a job, the suitability of the alumni's field of work and the scope of alumni's work. The results of this research can provide a better understanding of how study programs can produce graduates who are competent and ready to face challenges in the world of work and can also provide recommendations for institutions to improve the quality of education and relevance of the curriculum to better suit the needs of the current world of work. The governance model of the Simon Fraser University’s Alumni Association (SFUAA) remained largely unchanged since its establishment in 1969. Until 15th February, 2023, when members of the SFUAA voted to approve the voluntary dissolution of the legally separate society that provided the structure of the Alumni Association. This decision initiated a legal process to dissolve the SFUAA as a registered society under the British Columbia Societies Act. Consequently, the SFUAA and its Board of Directors transitioned from a legally separate organisation into an unincorporated association consisting of all Simon Fraser University (SFU) Alumni, represented by a self-appointed Alumni Council. This decision was made following extensive consultation and collaboration between the SFUAA Board of Directors and the University administration. This paper presents a documented case study examining the challenges encountered by the SFUAA as a legally separate entity, as well as the transformative implications of its change to an unincorporated association represented by an appointed council. To address this challenge, we propose EVENTO, a centralized digital platform designed to streamline the discovery, registration, and management of intercollege events and internships. EVENTO integrates diverse event categories including technical competitions, cultural fests, academic seminars, and sports event into a single, user-friendly interface. Key features of EVENTO include verified event and internship listings [4, 5], a personalized dashboard for tracking registrations [3, 5], real-time communication channels [2, 6], blockchain-based certificate issuance for authentication [5] and secure payment integration [7, 8]. Additionally, future scopes aim to incorporate a secured web-based alumni network [6], facilitating mentorship programs, career opportunities, and institutional connectivity while ensuring robust security measures to combat phishing, data integrity issues, and authentication challenges [6, 8]. Purpose: This study evaluated the Dr Lee Jong-wook Fellowship Program’s impact on Tanzania’s health workforce, focusing on relevance, effectiveness, efficiency, impact, and sustainability in addressing healthcare gaps.Methods: A mixed-methods research design was employed. Data were collected from 97 out of 140 alumni through an online survey, 35 in-depth interviews, and one focus group discussion. The study was conducted from November to December 2023 and included alumni from 2009 to 2022. Measurement instruments included structured questionnaires for quantitative data and semi-structured guides for qualitative data. Quantitative analysis involved descriptive and inferential statistics (Spearman’s rank correlation, non-parametric tests) using Python ver. 3.11.0 and Stata ver. 14.0. Thematic analysis was employed to analyze qualitative data using NVivo ver. 12.0.Results: Findings indicated high relevance (mean=91.6, standard deviation [SD]=8.6), effectiveness (mean=86.1, SD=11.2), efficiency (mean=82.7, SD=10.2), and impact (mean=87.7, SD=9.9), with improved skills, confidence, and institutional service quality. However, sustainability had a lower score (mean=58.0, SD=11.1), reflecting challenges in follow-up support and resource allocation. Effectiveness strongly correlated with impact (ρ=0.746, P&lt;0.001). The qualitative findings revealed that participants valued tailored training but highlighted barriers, such as language challenges and insufficient practical components. Alumni-led initiatives contributed to knowledge sharing, but limited resources constrained sustainability.Conclusion: The Fellowship Program enhanced Tanzania’s health workforce capacity, but it requires localized curricula and strengthened alumni networks for sustainability. These findings provide actionable insights for improving similar programs globally, confirming the hypothesis that tailored training positively influences workforce and institutional outcomes.

Purpose - This study aims to determine the relevance of the competencies acquired by university graduates in the labor market during the industrial revolution 4.0 era. This is necessary considering the fact that the evolution of this industrial era has triggered the creation of new types of works which require inexperienced college graduates to improve their competencies.&#x0D; Methodology - Data were obtained from Faculty of Economics 2015-2019 alumni at Universitas Terbuka domiciling on Java Island. A total of 279 alumni were used as samples while the data was collected using a questionnaire and analyzed through Biplot.&#x0D; Findings - The results showed that the graduates surveyed fulfilled several competencies required in the labor market but need to improve on some others such as digital, technological, and humanist literacies observed to be needed in industrial revolution era 4.0.&#x0D; Novelty - This study highlights some of the competencies possessed by graduates to operate in the labor market era 4.0 and several others to be improved in order to compete globally.

The aim of this research is to explore strategies for enhancing the quality of a private higher education, with a specific focus on alumni satisfaction. Factors under examination include lecturer professional, curriculum relevance, and facility quality. Assessing alumni satisfaction is deemed crucial for improving educational services and identifying key factors influencing their contentment. The research methodology employed is qualitative, using Focus Group Discussions (FGD) involving 16 selected participants based on specific criteria. FGD allows for in-depth exchange of ideas and experiences, although it faces challenges in terms of reliability and potential bias. Skillful moderation, participant diversity, open-ended questions, consistent analysis, and accurate recording are utilized to address these weaknesses. The results highlight the pivotal role of alumni in enhancing the quality of higher education institutions by providing valuable feedback. Alumni satisfaction reflects the institution's quality, influenced by lecturer professionalism, facility quality, and infrastructure. Thus, improving higher education quality is directly associated with enhancing lecturer professional, offering quality curriculum, and innovating educational facilities and infrastructure. ABSTRAKTujuan yang hendak dicapai dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengeksplorasi strategi dalam meningkatkan kualitas perguruan tinggi swasta dengan fokus pada kepuasan alumni. Faktor penentu yang dipelajari termasuk profesionalisme dosen, relevansi kurikulum, dan kualitas fasilitas. Penilaian kepuasan alumni dianggap penting dalam meningkatkan layanan pendidikan dan menentukan faktor-faktor utama yang memengaruhi kepuasan mereka. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan Focus Group Discussion (FGD) yang melibatkan 16 peserta yang dipilih berdasarkan kriteria tertentu. FGD memungkinkan pertukaran ide dan pengalaman yang mendalam. Keunggulan FGD adalah menghasilkan data kaya dan mengungkap dinamika sosial, meskipun ada tantangan reliabilitas dan potensi bias. Moderator yang terampil, keragaman peserta, pertanyaan terbuka, analisis yang konsisten, dan catatan yang akurat digunakan untuk mengatasi kelemahan. Adapun hasil yang diperoleh menjelaskan bahwa alumni berperan penting dalam meningkatkan kualitas institusi pendidikan tinggi sebagai sumber umpan balik berharga. Kepuasan alumni mencerminkan kualitas institusi, yang dipengaruhi oleh profesionalisme dosen, kualitas fasilitas serta infrastruktur. Dengan demikian meningkatkannya kualitas Perguruan Tinggi berjalan linear dengan peningkatan profesionalisme dosen, kurikulum yang bermutu dan inovasi dalam fasilitas serta infrastruktur pendidikan.

Abstract:
The workforce tests the skills students acquire during their studies. This study aims to analyze how the curriculum of the Early Childhood Islamic Education Study Program aligns with the competencies required in the workforce. In addition, this study evaluates the competitiveness of alumni and the level of satisfaction of the institutions that employ them. This study employs a mixed method, also known as a mixed method, along with a sequential explanatory design. Random sampling techniques selected a total of 45 alumni and 16 alumni users as samples. We collected quantitative data through surveys and obtained qualitative data through structured interviews and focus group discussions. We analyze quantitative data using descriptive statistics and interactively analyze qualitative data. The results showed that 97.78% of courses are relevant to work needs, and 98% of alumni competencies are in accordance with the demands of the workforce. However, the curriculum requires adjustments to face the challenges of the 21st century, such as technology integration, cooperative learning, application of differentiated learning, and a holistic learning approach. Additionally, the curriculum needs to adapt to current trends in early childhood Islamic education, including emotional management, smart device use, artificial intelligence, and STEAM-based learning design.

The aim of the study was to investigate previous PhD students’ views on the Norwegian Research School of Global Health and its activities. Of the research schools for PhD students, few focus on global health and even fewer have evaluated the students’ perspectives of the schools. In this study, a questionnaire including quantitative and qualitative questions were sent to alumni PhD students. Demographic status was investigated, along with the alumni’s views on activities offered at the research school, suggestions for improvement, views on his or her social life as a student and as a member of the school. A total of 60 alumni were contacted by email and invited to participate in an anonymous online survey. The response rate was 65%; 90% were in employment and a few were seeking employment. All research school activities were evaluated as useful. Content analysis of qualitative questions generated three categories of the alumni’s reflections on their involvement in the research school: valued activities, challenges, and future. The alumni expressed a wish for continued contact with the school. The findings indicated that a research school for PhD students with similar interests should be continued; although modifications should be considered, based on the specific challenges revealed in the evaluation.

The alumni of Vocational Schools (VS) have contributed to the increasing number of unemployment recently. At the onset, the main objective of vocational education is to produce ready to work alumni. However, the more the schools produce alumni, the higher the number of jobless people in this country. To tackle the issue, the government launch revitalization programs for VS’s across Indonesia. The implementation of the program is intended to cut down the number of unemployment and poverty. To explore the implementation of the program within a vocational context, this study was undertaken to look at the understanding of VS principals about the revitalization programs as well as the ten core strategies of the program. Besides, the study was also conducted to explore the problems faced the principals and their expectations of the revitalization program. A qualitative phenomenology study using in-depth interviews were conducted to garner the data from nine school principals of private and public VS’s in South Kalimantan Province, Indonesia. The findings indicate that the improvement of the competency of certified teachers is essential. Furthermore, the availability of business and industrial based (DUDI) facilities and learning resources, as well as the availability of professional development training through a link and match programs, are also important. On the other hand, the establishment of Management Information System (SIM) based on School Automation System (SAS), industry-based curriculum, teaching factory, tutorial video, local wisdom, and the role of VS as the triggers of the local economy needs more socialization by the government.

Abstract:
This study explores the curriculum development at Pesantren. This study focuses on Mushtofawiyah Pesantren. The pesantren faces significant challenges in integrating religious education based on the yellow book, which constitutes 80% of the curriculum, with general subjects allocated at 20%. This research employed a qualitative case study method. Data collection techniques were in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation studies. Then, the data were analyzed using the Miles, Huberman &amp; Saldana model. Data validity was checked through triangulation by comparing data from various sources. The results indicate that the curriculum management at Mushtofawiyah Pesantren successfully creates a synergy between religious and general education despite challenges such as internal resistance and limited facilities. The success of the alumni, who now play prominent roles in various public and professional sectors, along with the strength of the alumni organization network, underscores the effectiveness of the educational model implemented. These findings offer valuable insights into how pesantren can adapt and remain relevant amid changing times without losing their religious identity.
