Abstract:
Abstract Colloidal deposition of noble metal nanoparticles on oxidic supports is a recent approach for the fabrication of heterogeneous catalyst materials. We present studies on the interaction of different amine ligands with gold nanoparticles before and after deposition on several oxidic supports (titania, silica, alumina, magnesia or zinc oxide), using X-ray photoelectron and Auger spectroscopy, and high-resolution transmission electron microscopy. The adsorption of amines on thin gold films as well as on nanoparticles leads to a decrease in metal photoelectron binding energies. Usually, th

Background: A nano-tubular structure of Titanium dioxide (TiO2) was obtained using an electrochemical process based on the anodization of titanium foil in an organic electrolyte prepared with ethylene glycol (HOCH2CH2OH) containing Ammonium fluorides (NH4F) and ultrapure water under different anodization voltage. The morphological characteristics showed the formation of TiO2 nanotubes with different geometrical parameters. The electronic properties of the TiO2 NTs films were measured by the Mott-Schottky (MS) plots, indicating a positive slope for all graphs implying the n-type semiconductor n

Abstract:
Purpose There is a paucity of empirical research that explores the financial well-being of collegiate student-athletes. The purpose of this paper is to investigate the key aspects of financial well-being (e.g. financial knowledge, financial self-efficacy and finance-related stress levels) of varsity athletes at US colleges and universities. Design/methodology/approach The authors used data from the National Student Financial Wellness Study. The data were analyzed using general linear regression models. Findings The findings suggest student-athletes have lower financial knowledge than students
