In this paper influence of microwave & muffle furnace heat treatment on properties & energy consumption aspects for Al-B4C composite is studied. The impact, hardness, power consumption, heat treatment, time & cost were also studied. It is observed that the results of hardness & impact strength of the material are very closer in muffle furnace and microwave oven. Power conservation & cost reduction in microwave oven process is many times less where compared with muffle furnace. Huge time is saved in microwave oven process. Abstract:
Three natural graphite flakes (35, 50 and 80 mesh) were used as raw material. Exfoliated graphite (EG) was prepared by rapidly heating residue H2SO4-graphite intercalation compounds (RGIC) in a muffle and by irradiating it in a microwave oven, respectively. Results show that the exfoliation volume of EG decreases with decreasing the raw graphite particle size. Compared with muffle heating, microwave irradiation is more helpful for the exfoliation of RGICs, especially for the small particle samples.

Variations of heavy metals in sludge during microwave pyrolysis and muffle pyrolysis were analyzed by means of scanning electron microscope (SEM) and inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometer (ICP-AES). Increased basicity of residues from the sludge is found. Leaching percentages of heavy metals ranging from 0.031% to 5.364% after microwave treatment are lower. Releases of cadmium, lead, zinc and copper from the residues obtained in microwave pyrolysis reduce by 92.68% compared with muffle pyrolysis. Abstract If Hussein’s dismissal of Fawzi al-Mulqi in May 1954 was a sign of political maturity, his dismissal of Tawfiq Abu’l Huda one year later was a sign of political independence. And the way he handled Sa’id al-Mufti’s subsequent appointment confirmed that the young king was determined to have the final say in running his country. Al-Mufti (b. 1898), a Circassian, occupied a special spot in the pantheon of “king’s men.” His politics, like that of some other ethnic or religious minorities in predominantly Arab Muslim countries, was “more Arab than the Arabs”‘ in its anti-Zionism.
