Granite rocks occur as pebbles within the Parnassos flysch deposits, in the area of Iti (Central Greece). The granites are per aluminous, calcic rocL· with S-type characteristics. Geochemical features reveal that these rocL· are not co-genetic to the Iti ophiolite but they have been derived from magmas affected by a subduction component. They display common characteristics with VAG-type lithologies. Geochemically, they mostly resemble nearby granite clastsfrom a Triassic flyschoid from Evia (Liri Unit), and lesser those within the Parnassos flysch at Amfissa and Pliocene fluvial deposits at Pa

Abstract:
Leaf analysis is essential for diagnosing nutritional status and guiding fertilizer application. The present study aimed to investigate the appropriate time for leaf sampling and the effect of genotype on olive nutrition. We determined leaf nutrient concentrations of calcium (Ca), iron (Fe), and manganese (Mn) in five Greek (‘Amfissis’, ‘Chondrolia Chalkidikis’, ‘Koroneiki’, ‘Mastoidis’, and ‘Kalamon’) and one Spanish (‘Picual’) variety from May 2019 to April 2020. The concentrations of Ca, Fe, and Mn were significantly af

The olive tree (Olea europaea L.) is one of the main crops of the Mediterranean region which suffers from drought and soil salinization. We assessed the photosynthetic rate, leaf water content and antioxidative enzyme activity (APX, GPX, SOD and CAT) of three Greek olive cultivars (‘Amfisis’, ‘Mastoidis’ and ‘Lefkolia Serron’) subjected to drought and salinity stresses. Student engagement in college education is a flexible, difficult notion involving participation in interactions, discussion, and performance outcomes in the classroom. It is crucial to anticipate the participation so that the teacher can comprehend whether the student engages with different tasks in the classroom by using fuzzy controllers. In the presence of non-linearities and model hesitations, linear Proportional-Integral-Derivative (PID) controllers may not execute acceptably; hence, fuzzy logic is employed. There isn’t a single, reliable way to tell whether a student has been fully engag

Abstract:
Abstract Permanent magnet motors may suffer from imperceptible localized demagnetization due to surface damage during operation. This paper proposes a lightweight cross-scale decoupling feature fusion network (LCDFFN) for permanent magnets defect detection, which introduces separable convolution in the backbone and incorporates the Adaptive Multi-scale Feature Fusion with Interactive Attention Mechanism (AMFIA) to enhance small target detection. The Adaptive Attention Mechanism (AAM) and Feature Enhancement Module (FEM) based on dilated convolution are introduced in the feature fusion network,

A survey was conducted in olive orchards (Olea europaea L., cv Koroneiki) showing severe decline in Milatos and Ierapetra (Lasithi, Crete, Greece) in November 2017 and January 2019, respectively. Diseased trees exhibited wilting, yellowing of leaves, twig and branch dieback, and internal discoloration of vascular tissue. Insect infestations were commonly associated with these symptoms. A yeast-like fungus was consistently isolated from discolored vessels previously surface-disinfested with 95% ethanol, on acidified potato dextrose agar (APDA). The fungus yielded several dark brown to black, gl
