ROUSSEAU: UMA FILOSOFIA DO "INTERESSE" Resumo: nos dias atuais, diante da substituição das prioridades públicas por interesses mesquinhos, a análise rousseauniana e sua distinção entre amor de si e amor próprio deixou um legado original sobre a noção de interesse que se revela bastante atual. Essa distinção resultou nos pares de oposições marcantes da sua obra: interesse verdadeiro/interesse falso, interesse absoluto/interesse relativo, interesse geral/interesse particular, cuja elucidação, permite compreender como seria possível o acordo de interesses numa sociedade ou, para empregar os termos de Rousseau, o “ponto sobre o qual todos os interesses concordam”, sem o qual não poderia haver sociedade legítima. Abstract: nowadays, on the replacement of public priorities by narrow interests, the Rousseau’s analyses of human self-love and his distinction between its two basic varieties: amour-propre and amour de soi, left us an original legacy on the notion of interest which is very current. This distinction resulted in pairs of striking contradictions of his work: true interest/false interest, absolute interest/ relative interest, general interest/ private interest, whose elucidation, allows us to understand how could the agreement of interests in a society or, to use the Rousseau’s terms, the "point on which all interests agree," without which there could be no legitimate society. Abstract:

La these propose une interpretation de la nouvelle heloise de j. J. Rousseau qui vise a souligner le probleme du conflit et de l'ambivalence du sujet amoureux. Le roman presente une structure beaucoup plus complexe qu'il ne resulte de interpretations traditionnelles qui tendent a le diviser en deux parties, dont la premiere exalterait la passion, tandis que la seconde la nierait radicalement. L'hypothese du travail consiste a montrer qu'on peut parler au contraire de trois phases: celle de la passion entre julie et saint-preux (cf. La i partie de la these: analyse du concept de "passion" de l'amour courtois a mme la fayette, des philosophes a rousseau; le rapport passion-imagination; le probleme du temps et de la duree de l'amour etc. ); 2) celle du renoncement de julie a la passion pour s-p et du mariage (amour conjugal) avec wolmar (cf. La ii partie: analyse du concept d'"amour-amitie" chez rousseau et dans la pensee du 18e siecle, en tant que garantie du "bonheur" individuel et collectif etc. ); 3) celle de la nostalgie du desir, exprimee par julie avant sa mort, qui rend le conflit insoluble (cf. La iii partie: analyse du concept de "desir" dans la nouvelle heloise et dans les ecrits autobiographiques de rousseau, avec des elements de la psychanalyse, etc. )
The thesis proposes an interpretation of j. J. Rousseau's nouvelle heloise which focuses on the problem of conflict and ambivalence in love. The novel has a more complex structure than is attributed to it in the traditional interpretations, which tend to divide it into two parts, the first of which exalts the passion and the second which completely denies it. The thesis of this work is that the novel can be divided into three phases: 1) that of the passion between julie and saint-preux (see part i of the thesis: eg. Analysis of the concept of passion from "amour courtois" to mme la fayette, from the "philosophes" to rousseau; the relationship between passion and imagination, the problem of time and the duration of love); 2) that of julie's renouncement of passion for saint-preux and of marriage (ie. Conjugal love) to wolmar (see part ii: eg. Analysis of the concept of "amour-amitie" in rousseau and in 18th century, as that which guarantes happiness ("bonheur"); 3) that of the nostalgia for desire, expressed by julie before her death (see part iii: eg. Analysis by means of psychoanalytical interpretation of the concept of desire, both in nouvelle heloise and in the autobiographical writings of rousseau)

Abstract:

Dans un contexte de modifications radicales des relations entre les hommes et les bêtes, émerge la protection des animaux. D'un côté, apparaissent les sociétés militantes, regroupant les protecteurs les plus actifs, d'un autre cote, les signes d'attachement des hommes aux bêtes, la volonté de leur assurer une meilleure défense, et surtout la réprobation des violences à leur égard se multiplient. La protection des animaux militante s'inscrit dans l'ensemble des mouvements de réforme sociale. Ses promoteurs veulent lutter contre les violences populaires à l'égard des bêtes ; ils veulent moraliser les hommes et améliorer la condition des bêtes. Leur action repose sur un amour des premiers, qui peut s'inscrire suivant les cas dans les traditions de la philanthropie ou de la charité chrétienne, ainsi que sur des sentiments de compassion à l'égard des seconds. Si des consensus se dégagent facilement (le cheval), il existe des sujets polémiques : le traitement du chien, et la vivisection divisent les protecteurs. Une protection modérée axée sur l'homme (moralisation et profit économique) s'oppose à une protection radicale qui donne une place plus large aux sentiments, et ne conçoit pas les relations entre hommes et animaux par la domination absolue des premiers. La société française, ou seule la protection d'utilité s'exprime, ignore cet affrontement. Les sentiments protecteurs y apparaissent largement partages. Les oppositions structurées à la zoophilie restent marginales, provenant d'une partie du clergé catholique, et de l'extrême gauche. Les pouvoirs publics se montrent intéressés par ses aspects moralisateurs. Mais ils ne sont pas prêts à prendre des mesures contraignantes contre les jeux violents, qui bénéficient du soutien d'une partie des populations. A la veille de la guerre mondiale, les revendications radicales se regroupent dans l'anti- vivisection. Les angoisses de l'époque trouvent là un terrain d'expression
Protection of animals arises in a general pattern of radical changes in the relationships between men and animals. On the one hand, militant societies gathering the most active protectors appear. On the other hand, signs of men's fondness for beasts as well as determination to ensure a better protection and reproof of cruelty to animals increase more and more. Militant protection of animals is in keeping with the general pattern of social reformation. Its promoters intend to fight against people's acts of cruelty against animals. They want to moralise men and improve the condition of animals. Their action rests upon love for the former, which is in keeping with the tradition of philanthropy or christian charity, as well as on compassion towards the latter. If consensus is easily found on some themes (horses), there are controversial subjects too : protectors are divided on the behaviour towards dogs, and on vivisection. A moderate protection centred on man (moral progress and economical benefit) is opposed to a radical protection which emphasises feelings and rejects a relationship between men and animals based on the absolute domination of man. There is no such dispute among the french society of the time, which advocates only the utility protection. Protective feelings are shared to a great extent; structured opposition to zoophily remains marginal, coming from part of the catholic clergy, and from some leftists. Public authorities show an interest in its moralising aspects, but they are not ready to take constraining measures against violent games involving animals, which are supported by part of the population. Just before the first world war, radical claims centre on vivisection. The period's fears express themselves there

Abstract:

Freud s'était intéressé à la question de l'étiologie et les spécificités de la relation d'objet dans les psychoses dès le fondement de sa théorie. Il avait buté sur la possibilité du traitement des sujets psychotiques par la psychanalyse puisqu'ils lui paraissaient inaptes au transfert à cause d'une part de l'état anobjectal primitif de leur narcissisme et d'autre part de leur régression au stade autoérotique. Lacan, dans son retour à Freud, revient sur les spécificités de la structure et cerne la question. Il étoffe ainsi son hypothèse selon laquelle la forclusion du Nom-du-Père et la réapparition dans le réel de ce qui est forclos seraient la cause de la psychose. Ce travail de recherche est une mise en tension entre la rencontre avec trois femmes dont le diagnostic de psychose est avéré et l'approche de Freud et de Lacan des psychoses pour cerner notre question de recherche. De là, notre hypothèse sera la suivante : l'amour et le transfert ont des dimensions bien particuliers dans les névroses et dans les psychoses. Néanmoins ils restent des organisateurs de la vie du sujet pour toutes les structures psychiques. À travers l'amour, le sujet psychotique essaie de suppléer : au défaut dans la symbolisation dû à la forclusion du Nom-du-Père ; au défaut de la signification phallique ; et au défaut dans la localisation de la jouissance de l'Autre. L'amour fait symptôme dans les psychoses. Il est une des seules défenses que le sujet a contre le Réel et, constitue une tentative de guérison
Freud has focused his research on the etiology of psychosis and the specificities of object relations in psychosis since the foundation of his theory. He has confronted with the impossibility of the treatment of the psychotic patient by his methods because they seem to be incapable of transference due to their narcissism and their regression to the autoerotic stage of the development. After Freud, Lacan questions the specificities of the psychotic structure and identifies the foreclosure of the Name of the Father, a primordial signifier, as the etiologic source of the psychosis.This thesis is a tension between case studies of three psychotic women and the approach of Freud and Lacan. Our hypothesis is: love and transference have unique dimensions in neurosis and psychosis. However they still organize the life of the subject in all the structures psyches.Through love, the psychotic subject tries to compensate structural fault. It is one of the only defenses against the Real and it is an attempt to cure. The psychotic subject can form an ego by identifying with the love object. In this case, love is articulated in three registers defined by Lacan: the real, the imaginary and the symbolic. If the psychotic slides purely to the narcissistic side, if the love is based solely on the imaginary register, the deadly side of love, Thanatos, can take over

La relation d'amour vécue au sein du couple et de la conjugalité a connu, sous l'essor de l'individualisme, de profonds changements. L'individualisme, manière d'être au monde et de se rapporter aux autres, a ainsi induit de nouvelles façons de vivre l'amour. En partant d'un contexte précis – notre millénaire naissant –, cette thèse s'efforce de dégager quelques-uns des grands enjeux philosophiques touchant les relations amoureuses aujourd'hui, pour proposer ensuite une analyse détaillée de l'amour et de son rapport à la personne, et tenter par là de répondre aux questions qui se posent désormais. La première partie est donc essentiellement descriptive et aporétique. Elle débute par une brève analyse historique et conceptuelle de l'individualisme, qui permet de préciser le sens général de cette notion, à partir d'auteurs tels que Louis Dumont, Marcel Gauchet, Alain Renaut, Benjamin Constant, Alexis de Tocqueville… C'est ainsi que l'on introduit la distinction entre l'individualisme « politique » (qui marque la naissance de l'individualisme) et l'individualisme « narcissique », qui en est la continuation et l'imprégnation dans nos mœurs quotidiennes, notamment à travers la société de consommation. Une fois ces prémisses posées sont étudiées les conséquences de l'individualisme narcissique sur le couple, les relations amoureuses et conjugales. Cette partie s'appuie plus particulièrement sur les travaux de sociologues (François de Singly, Jean-Claude Kaufmann, Zygmunt Bauman, Gilles Lipovetsky, Christopher Lasch…). Sont abordés notamment les points suivants : le conflit entre l'amour et la liberté individuelle des conjoints ; le contrat amoureux ; la sculpture du couple à partir du projet des conjoints ; le choix amoureux (sa difficulté, sa fragilité, ce qui le conditionne…) ; les amours fusionnel et fissionnel ; l'influence de la société de consommation sur l'amour et le couple ; les approches matérialistes de l'amour. L'objectif de cette première partie, largement nourrie d'écrits sociologiques, n'est pas tant de donner une description du couple contemporain que de dégager, à travers les tensions qui s'y manifestent, les principales questions philosophiques qu'il pose, pour proposer ensuite un cheminement philosophique apportant des éléments de réponse. La deuxième partie, qui ouvre le travail d'analyse et de compréhension de l'amour en lui-même, s'articule autour des visions platonicienne et aristotélicienne de l'amour-éros et l'amour-philia. Elle a pour but de montrer que la vision platonicienne continue d'imprégner notre rapport à l'amour, notamment à travers la fusion et le sentiment amoureux. Pour ce faire, elle commence par étudier les textes de Platon relatifs à l'éros, pour voir ensuite, avec José Ortega y Gasset, puis Denis de Rougemont, combien l'amour est encore compris et appréhendé à partir de cette approche. Puis elle introduit la notion d'amour d'amitié, comme une réponse possible à cette première vision. C'est ainsi qu'elle considère l'analyse que propose Aristote de la philia, et s'efforce de montrer son actualité. La troisième partie, qui poursuit les investigations de la deuxième, commence par analyser les trois grandes formes de l'amour qui habitent l'homme : l'amour instinctif, l'amour sensible et l'amour spirituel, dit « personnel ». Sur cette base-là, elle poursuit sur une analyse de l'amour d'amitié, non plus chez Aristote, mais à partir de l'expérience. À l'occasion de l'étude de ses grandes dimensions (le réalisme de l'amour, le premier amour, l'intention, le choix, la liberté en amour, la fidélité…), sont proposées des réponses aux questions posées dans la première partie. C'est ainsi que l'on présente l'amour d'amitié comme une réponse et une alternative possibles à l'approche individualiste de l'amour, qui voit dans ce dernier une relation contractuelle basée sur un partage d'intérêt

Abstract:

Pour tout sujet, le discours amoureux paraît s'adresser à un Autre maternel, au-delà de la sexuation, comme par un symptôme d'appartenance à la pulsion de vie. Il s'agit d'entendre le discours amoureux comme un "entre-deux" des concepts lacaniens du discours de l'hystérique et du discours de l'analyste. Le discours amoureux porterait la langue du sujet où la méconnaissance de ce qui le cause oscille entre ce qu'il produit et la place de son désir. L'amour se supporterait d'un rapport entre deux savoirs inconscients dont la dysharmonie est radicale. Le discours rend compte d'une rencontre inter-symptomatique où la déclaration en reste à la lettre. Le symbolique du langage se dissocie alors entre symbole et symptôme qui traduisent un exil métaphorique du réel. Le discours se traduit, à l'épreuve du réel, par son impossible à dire, en convoquant pour chaque sujet le temps d'une illusion de rencontre et de suspens portant la trace de ce mirage au risque de la sexuation. L'amour devient un renoncement au narcissisme phallique jusqu'au risque de faire chuter l'appendement à l'objet "a", nouant désir et jouissance du sujet. L'Autre maternel, par le passage du discours amoureux comme étant celui de la langue vérifie l'appel du sujet de rester corps vivant du langage, où pourraient se conjoindre sensualité et sublimation.

Abstract:

Amour Piercing fin-stabilized discarding sabot is a type of a non-explosive kinetic energy penetrator ammunition used on anti-tank weapons. It requires material showing remarkable characteristics such as high density, high mechanical and impact resistance in order to provide the best penetration possible against targets. Tungsten Heavy Alloys are commonly used for this type of penetrators. Recently, with the increasing interest on Tungsten Heavy Alloy additive manufactured parts, it became mandatory to investigate the influence of this process on material properties. Thus, additive manufacturing was used to obtain bars, which were submitted to solid-liquid sintering under hydrogen and processed under vacuum to avoid embrittlement. These alloys were fully characterized with respect to their microstructure and mechanical characteristics. Results shown that additive manufacturing is a viable process for this type of alloys.

<title>ABSTRACT</title> <p>Military vehicle survivability can be enhanced by implementing Lightweight Fuel Tanks with an Engineered Self-Sealing and Energy Absorbing solution. A thin walled plastic or aluminum fuel tank with an outer self-sealing protection coating and a properly installed ballistic baffle provide increased sealing performance as compared to amour protected fuel tank. Abstract:

Abstract This paper presents an analysis procedure and results of extreme loading effect and fatigue damage of a dynamic subsea power umbilical. The umbilical was proposed by Hengtong submarine power cable Co., Ltd intended for a FPSO in south China sea at a water depth of 400 m. The umbilical cross section consists of three copper conductor strands and two layers of steel amour wires. A pliant wave configuration is used to accommodate large offset of the FPSO in the harsh environmental condition. Orcaflex is used to verify the tension and curvature of the umbilical in extreme condition against the umbilical capacity curve. UFLEX is used to estimate the mechanical properties and local stress of the umbilical. Fatigue damage is estimated by using results from the global analysis and local stress analysis. The results show that the umbilical cross section design satisfices the acceptance criteria for both extreme and fatigue damage.

Abstract:

Fatigue design of armor layers of flexible risers in ultra-deep water depth fields is challenging. Very high internal pressure and tension impose extreme contact pressure between steel armor layers. The paper outlines how these challenges were handled focusing on the physical effects that needed to be included in the structural mechanics model and the procedure used to calculate the lifetime. Residual stresses due to manufacturing plays an important role in reducing the fatigue performance of the pressure layer by affecting the mean stress level. However, this effect can be improved by selecting appropriate factory acceptance test (FAT). A tailor-made finite element program (BFLEX) has been designed to make this sort of analyses possible and ensure the safety of the flexible riser design for ultra-deep water depth. The study is also extended to discuss the fatigue damage owing to friction in the armor layer for the ultra-deep water flexible because of higher contact pressure on the armor layer. Finally, the fatigue behavior of the pressure amour is a typical multi-axial fatigue problem. Various models are proposed to address how different stress components are exposed for the fatigue calculation.

Depuis la fin des années 80, l’Institut exerce ses activités de recherche autour d’un axe central, soit la définition fonctionnelle de la famille. En juin 2016, l’Institut canadien de recherche sur le droit et la famille a commencé à s’intéresser aux diverses perceptions concernant la notion de polyamour au Canada. Le projet n’en est encore qu’à mi-parcours, mais les données colligées jusqu’ici pourraient avoir une incidence importante sur la législation et les politiques au cours des prochaines décennies, suivant l’évolution constante de la notion de famille. Le terme polyamour est formé du préfixe grec poly (qui signifie « plusieurs » ou « en abondance ») et du mot d’origine latine amour. En accord avec cette étymologie, les polyamoureux vivent donc plusieurs relations intimes simultanées, ou manifestent une telle préférence. Certains polyamoureux sont engagés dans des relations amoureuses stables à long terme impliquant deux ou plusieurs autres partenaires, alors que d’autres entretiennent simultanément plusieurs relations plus ou moins durables ou engagées. Dans certains cas, les relations simultanées se vivent à court terme ou sur une base purement sexuelle, et parfois elles sont plus durables et se caractérisent par un engagement affectif plus marqué. Polyamour Pratique ou condition se caractérisant par la participation à plusieurs relations intimes simultanément, sans motivation religieuse ni obligation découlant du mariage. Polygamie Pratique ou condition se caractérisant par le fait d’avoir plusieurs époux ou épouses simultanément (habituellement des femmes), la plupart du temps pour des motifs religieux.
