One of the most important business management tasks for enterprises is the calculation of an appropriate rate of return for invested capital or cost of capital. The article presents a theoretical and practical analysis of four of the most commonly used capital cost evaluation models. Based on the results, the two most suitable capital cost evaluation models that can be used under the prevailing conditions in Lithuania are identified. Abstract:
Starting from a critique of the concept of "natural capital" which helps in defining the concepts of territorial and rural capital, the utility is affirmed of measuring the sustainability of individual and collective actions with respect to the contribution they offer to their production and reproduction. The analysis of case studies therefore poses the problem of over-exploitation of territorial capital in the absence of adequate investments for its reproduction. This requires a detailed evaluation of the eco-territorial services, focusing on the communities of actors who take care of them.

Abstract:
In this chapter, the authors analyze the functioning of private capital markets in Holland in the late medieval period. They argue that in the absence of banks and state agencies involved in the supply of credit, entrepreneurs' access to credit was determined by two interrelated factors. The first was protection of property rights and the extent to which properties could be used as collateral. The second was interest rates for borrowing money at the time, as well as the obligations of such borrowing compared with the interest rates on risk-free investments. The chapter’s case study is the small town of Edam and its surrounding countryside, De Zeevang, during the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries. The authors show that many households (whether headed by men or women) owned financial assets and/or debts, and the degree of financial sophistication was relatively high.

Methods are a combination of several research areas, including system intelligence, tacit signals, quality of the working life index and the theory of human capital production function. This article presents a holistic approach of multi-disciplinary research that emphasizes the complexity of HRM-Performance and explains why, in some cases, human resource development increases business performance, and in other cases not. Development complexity is more difficult when organizational performance is measured by monetary value. The article presents human capital intangible assets' connection to monetary scorecards using human capital production function, which explains and also makes it possible to predict human resource development payback. It is expected that proper management of working capital contributes positively to the value of the firm, and liquidity of the firm negatively affects the profitability of the company. The purpose of the chapter is to analyze the composition and changes of the working capital and to find the impact of liquidity and efficiency of working capital management on profitability. For this purpose, this study is conducted on Cipla Ltd. for the period 2001-2009. From the study, it is found that there is a significant negative relationship between liquidity and profitability. It also reveals that managers can create value for the firm by reducing the holding period in inventories and receivable.

We develop a small open economy model with nominal rigidities and fragmented labor markets to study the response of the monetary policy to a migration shock. Migrants are characterized by their productivity levels, their restrictions to accumulate capital, as well as by the flexibility of their labor income. Our results show that the monetary policy response depends on the characteristics of migrants and the local labor market. An inflow of low(high)-productivity workers reduces(increases) marginal costs, lowers(raises) inflation expectations and pushes the Central Bank to reduce(increase) the
