Chatel, Elisabeth. "Une analyse économique de l'action éducative : évaluation et apprentissage dans les lycées." Paris 10, 1996. http://www.theses.fr/1996PA100097.
Full textThis thesis deals with the evaluation of educational system as regards secondary schools. It examines the value of the product resulting from education at this school level. It contemplates accurately the actual achievement of this process by deriving its conclusions from a rich emperical material : descriptions of economics' lessons, quantitative analysis of examinations marks and so on. The theoretical frame is that of the "economics of conventions". It enables to initiate a dialogue with cognitive psychology and other sciences of education, so as to create relevant concepts with the nature of educational question. This thesis clearly shows the multidimensional size of educational product ; in so doing it strengthens the appearence of genuine criticism as regards gary becker's arguments. Doubting the possibility of utterly measuring the educational product leads to doubting the attempts at calculating the educational efficacity. This thesis conclude with the recommendation not to confuse measure and evaluation

Full textWe question the impact of contemporary discourses on the subjectivity, the visible resistances - meaning the one that are represented - and more particularly the external form that come to produce an internal reversal of these discourses and/or the mobilization of new practices which do not seek to be recognized. Among the dominant discourses, we expand on the discourse of economic value, the discourse of technosciences and the discourse of risk. The interconnections are analyzed, particularly in terms of the reflexivity produced in the subject, with the Lacanian discourses of the analyst and the capitalist. Some emergent affection, which is not associated with ideational representative, may occur at the level of politics, subject, and social. Emergent affections are precisely what occurs itself from the body and that can not find any instinctual representative in the social. They are distinguished from affects as they are themselves associated with discourses, producing objects of knowledge that condition them. From these affections, there may be repression, appointment (Say), or attachment to existing affects. The discursive event at politic level mobilizes a homogeneous representation to produce common affects from emerging affections: the plurality of power places leaves the established discursive authority lessened. In social terms, the production of knowledge is both invisibilised in the standard, but it is also, as a desire to know, a producer of links: the emerging affection finds a form of practical constitution that does not go through discursive recognition

Full textOur research project belongs to discourse analysis as a discipline that deals with the operation of thespeech in situation. Our aim is therefore in the relationship between event and discourse, particularly in the institutional French debate when franc has been replaced by a unique currency, the Euro. The speakers of our corpus had to build confidence in Public audience. For this reason, anargumentative approach was necessary for our research. So, we have focused on the use of formsand structures intra-discursive finalized to create a climate of trust or distrust towards the uniquecurrency. Our attention is focused on the study of different forms of argument in relation to thepolitics positions and economic theses defended within this debate. What persuasive strategies were used in France to argue this passage? Through what kind ofarguments the speakers have organized the objective of their speech? Finally, is there a speech onthe euro associable with specific arguments according to the argumentative places occupied by itssupporters and opponents?
Romoth, Heike. "Évolution du discours de politique économique et sociale dans les déclarations de politique générale en République Fédérale d’Allemagne entre 1949 et 2009 : analyse linguistique des contextualisations des concepts Staat, Wirtschaft, Wachstum, Wettbewerb et Markt." Thesis, Sorbonne Paris Cité, 2015. http://www.theses.fr/2015USPCA156.
Full textIn a linguistic study which emphasises the articulation between discourse and political reality, we have highlighted the transformations regarding the economic and social policy in the Federal Republic of Germany (FRG) from 1949 to 2009. Through the analysis of predications originating from policy statements (Große Regierungserklärung) delivered to the Bundestag, we have singled out the different contextualisations of the concepts Staat, Wirtschaft, Wachstum, Wettbewerb and Markt. Each contextualisation by means of which the speaker selects a portion of reality, puts into perspective a slot in the cognitive frame which is thus activated by the lexeme in use. The cognitive frame which has served us both as an analytic tool and a format of representation constitutes a concept map; its slots are instantiated by predications. We have differentiated two main periods which offer contextual changes: 1) The period extending from 1969 to 1976 is characterised by the contextualisations Staat, Wachstum and Wettbewerb in speeches on the strenghtening of social protection based on State intervention, and the emphasis on the reinforcement of competition between firms and the advantages of economic growth.2) The period extending from 1982 to 2002 is determined by the contextualisations of Staat, Wirtschaft, Wachstum and Wettbewerb. It is characterised by the underlining of the reduction and transformation of the welfare state, economic modernisation, acceleration of growth and extension of the principle of competition to other areas. These contextualisations point out to “a return to the basics“ of the soziale Marktwirtschaft and its neo-liberal guidelines. These linguistic changes and their periodisation roughly concur with the political changes reported by historians. Nevertheless, we were able to demonstrate that recontextualisations can just serve strategic purposes.Furthermore, we have highlighted the referential ambiguity of the lexemes Staat, Wirtschaft, Wachstum, Wettbewerb and Markt, which leads to a difficulty in identifying the referent envisioned by the speaker when he uses these lexemes. This phenomenon, which is linked to the metaphorical and metonymical processes implemented in the conceptualisation and denomination of entities, has led us to put forward the hypothesis of a differentiated granularity of frames, i.e a number of variable slots which depend on the encyclopaedic knowledge of the addressee

Full textThis thesis focuses on the analysis of official and usual discourses in order to evaluate the efficiency of wording and concepts in the definition of the economic development policies implemented in Côte d'Ivoire, a country which was considered as a showcase of the implementation of these policies. The conceptual framework refers to the work of Pierre Bourdieu (1982, 1991), who emphasizes the power of discourse and associated vocabulary. Indeed, according to Bourdieu, there is a linguistic market on which is exchanged, an overbidding of words and concepts. In keeping with this vision, we believe that there is also such a market that is specific to development. This market is characterized by a balance of power between social actors for the control of a "symbolic power" which asserts itself in linguistic exchanges. Some of these actors named as "experts" thus create the words of development, while others, notably developing country governments (DCs) and their populations, receive, integrate or reinterpret them, sometimes giving another meaning. And as in any market, an equilibrium price allows regulating the exchanges. The amount of credits and financing granted by donors may be considered as such a price. In this context, the power of words and related concepts in the definition and implementation of economic development policies and their effectiveness in terms of poverty reduction can be questioned. It is answering to this question which constitutes the objective of the thesis. In order to answer this question we examined the discourse of the various stakeholders involved in the development of Côte d'Ivoire, by comparing the results of qualitative interviews from actors of the Ivorian social life to the official texts of the government and the Bretton Woods institutions IBW).The first part of the thesis examines the history of Côte d'Ivoire's economic development policies, showing how a discourse based on economic theories that underpins the practices of development allows the emergence of a symbolic power. Thus, is the so-called "Ivorian economic miracle", the failure of which led to structural adjustment policies and then to the objectives of poverty reduction. At each stage, the appearance of specific terms, concepts and expressions, have corroborated the sets of actors and underlying theories that are not always explicitly stated. The second part shows how, following the adjustment policies and the ensuing crisis, Côte d'Ivoire has tried to adapt its economic development policies to the new concepts and words such as " resilience "," equity "or" emergence ", with reference to the sustainable human development approach. It is perhaps an opportunity for her to regain, through new linguistic exchanges within the development market, the symbolic power she possessed before

Full textThis dissertation follows from a body of work that examines the use of scientific research evidence in national education policy making. Its originality lies in the fact that it tackles this issue at a level yet to be explored, i.e., the global level. At that level, international organizations play the role of intermediaries between knowledge production and decision-making arenas. The nature and foundations of their recommendations therefore need to be examined carefully. More specifically, and given that improving the quality of teachers has become an “absolute priority” in national and international policies (UNESCO, 2014), this doctoral research describes and analyzes the nature and foundations of the pedagogical orientations put forward by three of the most influential international organizations in the education sector: UNESCO, the Organization for economic cooperation and development (OECD), and the World Bank. Two types of data were exploited to this end. The first and main type consists of reports published by these organizations on improving teacher quality and teacher education (N = 117). The second type of data was generated through structured interviews with individuals (N = 15) working for the three organizations and involved in programs or projects targeting teachers and their training. The results of the analyses show that UNESCO, OECD and the World Bank seldom us scientific research evidence on teaching effectiveness. Instead, they produce a basic pedagogic discourse in favor of “(socio)-constructivist”, also called learner-centered, approaches. They are thus caught between the desire to improve teacher quality and the principles of a pedagogic stance that rejects the existence of exemplary practices; and, as a result, find themselves in an impasse.

Gauthier, Jacques. "Education et développement : les écoles populaires Kanak." Paris 8, 1993. http://www.theses.fr/1993PA08A004.
Full textBorn in 1985, the kanak popular schools were an "analyser" of the contradictions of the independentist movement in newcaledonia. They offered a new status to country people, to women and to children, which engendered much resistance. Pupils constitute the moving force of a development which is generated in their environment to give energy to this environment. The pedagogy used has something to do with the pedagogy of the the oppressed. In order to undestand what is, consciously or unconsciously, at stake in the kanak popular schools, the autor placing himself in a position of intercultural interview, analyses the process of genesis of the concepts, invents a method of speech analysis about official reports of the kanak popular schools inspired by the theory of catastrophes, and analyses his own institutional implication, including through poetic writing
