Abstract:
Zusammenfassung. Theoretischer Hintergrund: Zur statistischen Auswertung von Längsschnittdaten werden häufig etablierte Methoden wie die Varianzanalyse mit Messwiederholung verwendet, die jedoch hinsichtlich ihrer statistischen Annahmen und der Berücksichtigung fehlender Werte sehr begrenzt sind. In den letzten Jahren wurden geeignetere Verfahren entwickelt, die sich unter den Begriffen Mehrebenenmodelle oder hierarchische lineare Modelle (HLM) zusammenfassen lassen. Fragestellung: Die Verbesserungen durch flexiblere Annahmen in der Varianzanalyse und insbesondere durch den so genannten random regression-Ansatz, der in vielen Fällen eine sinnvolle Alternative zu varianzanalytischen Verfahren darstellen kann, werden erläutert. Methode: Die Herleitung erfolgt nicht-technisch am Beispiel einer Therapieverlaufsstudie und folgt klinisch-psychologischen Fragestellungen. Ergebnisse: Es zeigt sich, dass mit den Methoden der HLM die besonderen Anforderungen von Therapieverlaufsdaten wie personenspezifische Effekte, variierende serielle Abhängigkeiten und ungleiche Erhebungszeitpunkte wesentlich besser modelliert werden können. Schlussfolgerung: Der Einsatz der HLM ermöglicht flexiblere Auswertungsansätze, wodurch die Teststärke und die Präzision der statistischen Tests für die Therapieevaluation und -prognose wächst.

Abstract:
En se basant sur une observation participante et la collecte de données recueillies par d'autres techniques d'observation (statistiques, observation directe), nous avons exploré en profondeur le fonctionnement d'une encyclopédie : l'encyclopédie en ligne libre et ouverte Wikipédia1. Cette observation participante a consisté à contribuer activement au projet open source, à nous impliquer dans son fonctionnement, au point même de tenter d'agir sur certains aspects organisationnels (prises de décision, publication d’articles), tout ceci dans le but d’analyser les méthodes employées. Cependant, rectifions d'emblée, il ne s'agit pas seulement d'un projet open source au sens strict du terme, mais d'un concept très particulier dont l'étendue, le public, les pratiques, la nature juridique, font qu'il se trouve à la croisée de divers milieux : monde scientifique, culture libre, population étudiante, public des forums et du Web 2.0.Au niveau théorique, cette observation présente plusieurs intérêts. Elle permet tout d'abord de démontrer que Wikipédia ne se limite pas à une activité informatique immatérielle. Wikipédia pénètre aujourd'hui toutes les activités culturelles, scientifiques voire juridiques.On peut aussi à travers cette étude tirer des enseignements sur la dynamique, le fonctionnement et le crédit à accorder à une telle entreprise. L'immersion dans le projet nous a, en effet, permis de mieux comprendre les logiques et les dynamiques de Wikipédia. Cette étude peut également servir de référent ou d'élément comparatif dans l'observation et l'analyse d'autres projets similaires ou sous forme papier dont les méthodes de réalisation sont différentes (Encyclopædia Universalis, encyclopédie Larousse en ligne, Encarta...). Et enfin, en phase avec l’ère du numérique, elle offre la perspective de nouvelles voies de régulation et des pistes pour exploiter ces nouveaux outils cognitifs<br>Based on participant observation and collection of data gathered by other observation techniques (statistics, direct observation), we explored in depth the operation of an encyclopedia: the free and open online encyclopedia Wikipedia. The participant observation consists in actively contributing to the open source project, in getting involved in its operation, even to the point of trying to act on some organizational aspects (decision-making, publication of articles), all this in order to analyze the methods used. However, let’s immediately rectify, this is not only an open source project in the strict sense of the term, but a very particular concept of which extent, public, practices, legal nature, make so that it is located at the crossroads of various backgrounds: scientific world, free culture, students, forums’ public and Web 2.0.On the theoretical level, this observation presents several interests. It first allows to show that Wikipedia is not limited to an immaterial computer activity. Wikipedia now penetrates all cultural, scientific and even legal activities.Through this study, we can also learn on the dynamic, the functioning and the credit to grant to such an undertaking. The immersion in the project has indeed helped us to better understand the logics and dynamics of Wikipedia. This study can also serve as reference or comparative element in the observation and analysis of similar projects or in paper form of which construction methods are different (Encyclopædia Universalis, Larousse online encyclopedia, Encarta ...). And finally, in step with the digital age, it offers the prospect of new regulatory pathways and trails to exploit these new cognitive tools

Abstract:
In dieser Projektarbeit geht es um die Abschätzung von Massen der Hauptbaugruppen großer ziviler Verkehrsflugzeuge (MTOM > 40 t), sowie um die Abschätzung der Betriebsleermasse. Die Projektarbeit analysiert die 2013 im Luftfahrttechnischen Handbuch (LTH) erschienene Massenschätzmethode MA 401 12-01 B von F. Dorbarth und vergleicht diese Methode mit anderen früher veröffentlichten Methoden, die von Fernandes da Moura bereits 2001 analysiert wurden. Für die Analyse werden ausgewählte Flugzeugmuster (A320-200, A330-200, A340-300 und B737-200) und deren tatsächliche Massen der Hauptbaugruppen sowie Betriebsleermassen genutzt. Die Abweichungen zwischen den berechneten und den tatsächlichen Massen werden für jede Methode in Diagrammen veranschaulicht. Es zeigt sich dabei, dass die Massenschätzmethode aus dem Luftfahrttechnischen Handbuch nur geringe Abweichungen im Vergleich zu den tatsächlichen Massen aufweist. Damit werden die eigenen Angaben zur Genauigkeit der LTH-Methode bestätigt. Die Abweichungen sind geringer als bei älteren und generelleren Methoden wie sie von Fernandes da Moura untersucht wurden. Dies entspricht der Erwartung, dass eine neuere Methode, die auf Flugzeuge einer bestimmten Art beschränkt ist, auch genauere Ergebnisse liefert. Insgesamt hat sich die LTH-Methode als übersichtliche und hinreichend genaue Methode zur Massenabschätzung im frühen Flugzeugentwurf erwiesen. Die Abweichungen lagen in der Regel unter 5 % und nur in Ausnahmefällen wurde eine Abweichung von 10 % überschritten.

ZusammenfassungFür diese Arbeit kombiniere ich phonetische und korpuslinguistische Methoden, indem akustische Messwerte an den von meinen Annotationen ausgezeichneten Stellen aus dem Audiosignal extrahiert und weiter analysiert werden. Zusätzlich definiere ich Annotationswerte, die das akustische Signal beschreiben und in die Analyse einfließen. Dies geht über die ‚klassische‘ Korpusauswertung „gesprochener Korpora“ (Wichmann 2008) hinaus, die sich zwar auf Transkripte von Sprachaufnahmen bezieht (vgl. Kübler &amp; Zinsmeister 2015: 4), aber die in ihnen enthalten „sound patterns“ außen vor lässt (Wichmann 2008: 189).

This lack could lead to inaccurate determinations of munitions in environmental samples by either not measuring for IM compounds or using methods not designed for IM and other legacy compounds. This work seeks to continue expanding the list of target analytes currently included in the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Method 8330B. This technical report presents three methods capable of detecting 29 legacy, IM, and degradation products in a single High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) method with either ultraviolet (UV)-visible absorbance detection or mass spectrometric detection. Procedures were developed from previously published works and include the addition of hexahydro-1-nitroso-3,5-dinitro-1,3,5-triazine (MNX); hexahydro-1,3-dinitroso-5-nitro-1,3,5-triazine (DNX); hexahydro-1,3,5-trinitroso-1,3,5-triazine (TNX); 2,4-diamino-6-nitrotoluene (2,4-DANT); and 2,6-diamino-4-nitrotoluene (2,6-DANT). One primary analytical method and two secondary (confirmation) methods were developed capable of detecting 29 analytes and two surrogates. Methods for high water concentrations (direct injection), low-level water concentrations (solid phase extraction), soil (solvent extraction), and tissue (solvent extraction) were tested for analyte recovery of the new compounds.

Abstract:
The article clarifies of gender identity stereotypes in modern media. The main gender stereotypes covered in modern mass media are analyzed and refuted. The model of gender relations in the media is reflected mainly in the stereotypical images of men and woman. The features of the use of gender concepts in modern periodicals for women and men were determined. The most frequently used derivatives of these macroconcepts were identified and analyzed in detail. It has been found that publications for women and men are full of various gender concepts that are used in different contexts. Ingeneral, theanalysisofthe concept-maximums and concept-minimum gender and their characteristics is carried out in the context of gender stereotypes that have been forme dand function in the society, system atizing the a ctual presentations. The study of the gender concept is relevant because it reveals new trends and features of modern gender images. Taking into account the special features of gender-labeled periodicals in general and the practical absence of comprehensive scientific studies of the gender concept in particular, there is a need to supplement Ukrainian science with this topic. Gender psychology, which is served by methods of various sciences, primarily sociological, pedagogical, linguistic, psychological, socio-psychological. Let us pay attention to linguistic and psycholinguistic methods in gender studies. Linguistic methods complement intelligence research tasks, associated with speech, word and text. Psycholinguistic methods used in gender psychology (semantic differential, semantic integral, semantic analysis of words and texts), aimed at studying speech messages, specific mechanisms of origin and perception, functions of speech activity in society, studying the relationship between speech messages and gender properties participants in the communication, to analyze the linguistic development in connection with the general development of the individual. Nowhere in gender practice there is the whole arsenal of psychological methods that allow you to explore psychological peculiarities of a person like observation, experiments, questionnaires, interviews, testing, modeling, etc. The methods of psychological self-diagnostics include: the gender aspect of the own socio-psychological portrait, a gender biography as a variant of the biographical method, aimed at the reconstruction of individual social experience. In the process of writing a gender autobiography, a person can understand the characteristics of his gender identity, as well as ways and means of their formation. Socio-psychological methods of studying gender include the study of socially constructed women’s and men’s roles, relationships and identities, sexual characteristics, psychological characteristics, etc. The use of gender indicators and gender approaches as a means of socio-psychological and sociological analysis broadens the subject boundaries of these disciplines and makes them the subject of study within these disciplines. And also, in the article a combination of concrete-historical, structural-typological, system-functional methods is implemented. Descriptive and comparative methods, method of typology, modeling are used. Also used is a method of content analysis for the study of gender content of modern gender-stamped journals. It was he who allowed quantitatively to identify and explore the features of the gender concept in the pages of periodicals for women and men. A combination of historical, structural-typological, system-functional methods is also implemented in the article. Descriptive and comparative methods, method of typology, modeling are used. A method of content analysis for the study of gender content of modern gender-labeled journals is also used. It allowed to identify and explore the features of the gender concept quantitatively in the periodicals for women and men. The conceptual perception and interpretation of the gender concept «woman», which is highlighted in the modern gender-labeled press in Ukraine, requires the elaboration of the polyfunctionality of gender interpretations, the comprehension of the metaphorical perception of this image and its role and purpose in society. A gendered approach to researching the gender content of contemporary periodicals for women and men. Conceptual analysis of contemporary gender-stamped publications within the gender conceptual sphere allows to identify and correlate the meta-gender and gender concepts that appear in society.

Abstract:
No standard method exists for determining levels of insensitive munition (IM) compounds in environmental matrices. This project resulted in new methods of extraction, analytical separation and quantitation of 17 legacy and 7 IM compounds, daughter products of IM, and other munition compounds absent from USEPA Method 8330B. Extraction methods were developed for aqueous (direct-injection and solid-phase extraction [SPE]), soil, sediment, and tissue samples using laboratory-spiked samples. Aqueous methods were tested on 5 water sources, with 23 of 24 compounds recovered within DoD QSM Ver5.2 limits. New solvent extraction (SE) methods enabled recovery of all 24 compounds from 6 soils within QSM limits, and a majority of the 24 compounds were recovered at acceptable levels from 4 tissues types. A modified chromatographic treatment method removed analytical interferences from tissue extracts. Two orthogonal high-performance liquid chromatography-ultraviolet (HPLC-UV) separation methods, along with an HPLC–mass spectrometric (HPLC-MS) method, were developed. Implementing these new methods should reduce labor and supply costs by approximately 50%, requiring a single extraction and sample preparation, and 2 analyses rather than 4. These new methods will support environmental monitoring of IM and facilitate execution of risk-related studies to determine long-term effects of IM compounds.

Attention to mixed methods studies research has increased in recent years, particularly among funding agencies that increasingly require a mixed methods approach for program evaluation. At the same time, researchers operating within large-scale, rapid-turnaround research projects are faced with the reality that collection and analysis of large amounts of qualitative data typically require an intense amount of project resources and time. However, practical examples of efficiently collecting and handling high-quality qualitative data within these studies are limited. More examples are also needed of procedures for integrating the qualitative and quantitative strands of a study from design to interpretation in ways that can facilitate efficiencies. This paper provides a detailed description of the strategies used to collect and analyze qualitative data in what the research team believed to be an efficient, high-quality way within a team-based mixed methods evaluation study of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) high-school education. The research team employed an iterative approach to qualitative data analysis that combined matrix analyses with Microsoft Excel and the qualitative data analysis software program ATLAS.ti. This approach yielded a number of practical benefits. Selected preliminary results illustrate how this approach can simplify analysis and facilitate data integration.
