As a result, it is difficult to obtain quotes of executable prices, trading volumes, and related data that are representative of the market. Market conditions are therefore not easy to assess and often dependent on anecdotal evidence. Over the years, the Reserve Bank of Australia has published data and analysis of the repo market by providing indirect perspectives using data from its own open market operations that are conducted using repos. Abstract:
This study aims to describe the prevailing supply and demand conditions, patterns and recent trends regarding science and technology (S&T) human capital in the Philippines by examining secondary data from various data sources. Overall, the results show that although the scientific workforce constitutes only a minute share of the total workforce, and that the variegated occupations across S&T do not have uniform growth potentials as regards employment, both the government and the private sector need to support most of S&T disciplines, especially in the wake of new tasks from emergin

Abstract:
This paper analyzes five Productive Development Policies (PDPs) implemented in Costa Rica, finding that they are not optimally addressing market failures. Moreover, government failures rather than market failures represent the main justification for PDPs. Even in the presence of market failures, the policy instruments applied are not necessarily the most economically efficient but rather the most politically feasible options. In addition, the lack of policy evaluation and monitoring prevents adjustments and corrections of such policies. Addressing the arguments for policy intervention and inco

Implications of the Inflation Reduction Act for the biotechnology industry; sensitivity of investment and valuation to drug price indices and market conditions. Abstract:
The Inflation Reduction Act of 2022 contains landmark provisions authorizing the government to negotiate the price of selected drugs covered by Medicare Part D. The biopharmaceutical industry has criticized these provisions as a threat to innovation arguing that reducing future revenues could disincentivize equity investment in biotechnology. This research examines the sensitivity of private and public equity investment in the biotechnology industry to drug price indices and market conditions from 2000-2022. The analysis shows that equity financing and valuation in the biotechnology industry w

The article discusses the possibilities of applying new forms of entrepreneurship in modern economic conditions in Russia. Under the conditions of sanctions pressure, the development of import substitution becomes even more urgent. However, this process is impossible without the search for new forms of entrepreneurial activity, the purpose of which should be the formation of the most favorable conditions for doing business in Russia by small and medium-sized enterprises. This is the basis of the mobilization economy in modern conditions, the task of which is the development of economic relatio

The benefits of the FTAA to Latin American countries will materialize through two channels: improved access to the region's markets, and enhanced growth prospects through the strengthening of basic economic institutions. Furthermore, the importance of these negotiations is heightened by the fact that they are taking place against the failure of the Uruguay Round to liberalize agricultural trade, and the lack of progress in the ongoing negotiations of the Doha round. This paper examines the evolution of women's participation in the labor market from 1960 to 2018, shedding light on the complex factors that influence their labor opportunities. The study emphasizes the significance of the historical context in understanding these factors. This research uncovers nuanced insights using a two-step methodology involving principal component analysis and Time-Varying Effect Modeling (TVEM). The results indicate that the transition from high to low fertility rates significantly influenced female labor participation until the late 1970s. Educational advancements, eco
