Abstract:
Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to study the analytical hierarchy process (AHP) based on assessment of sustainability indicators for public transportation system including pedestrians and feeder services in developing country. Design/methodology/approach – A hybrid approach based on the AHP is considered for assessment of the sustainability of public transportation system including pedestrians and feeder services. Sustainability related indicators for public transportation system (namely for metro, bus and feeder bus) and pedestrians based on past data were reviewed and subsequently, more important indicators catering needs of developing country have been added to achieve significant sustainability score and a total of 17 indicators were selected for assessment of comprehensive sustainability (seven indicators under economic, six under social and four under environmental categories). Findings – For quantifying the assessment, specific user interview surveys are performed in south Delhi region and accordingly perception of user and transportation-related operational characteristics of the public transport system were also collected. Preliminary result shows air pollution in environmental category, public health in social category and productivity in economic category is most influential parameters in developing country. Originality/value – AHP method is applied for rating the criteria and setting out the priority of designed sustainable indicators. Subsequently sustainable mitigation measures and scenarios for the study area can be evaluated utilizing developed comprehensive sustainability indicator for public transportation system including pedestrian and feeder services available in developing country.

Abstract:
Purpose – Analyze how complexity influences the implementation of sustainability in complex civil construction projects. Design/methodology/approach – Based on the proposal of indicators due to the composition of the theoretical background of this research, the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) multi-criteria method was applied. Thus, the sampling for collection, through a questionnaire, was be limited to engineering professionals working in the Metropolitan Region of Cariri, extreme south of Ceará, more specifically in the cities Crato, Juazeiro do Norte, and Barbalha. Findings – In terms of the complexity of the projects, the research participants pointed out that changes made over time and the financial aspects are variables that considerably hinder the completion of the building. Finally, it was possible to notice that there is a close relationship between the indicators of complexity and sustainability, where the target audience of the research showed a strong tendency to consider the most important economic aspects of the design and execution of civil construction projects. Originality/value – This research contributes to the national literature by combining mathematical tools with practical applications. It encourages managers and academics to develop indicators for building a sustainability classification system for complex projects, according to their specificities. It also explains how the AHP determines the weights for each criterion, proposing a conceptual sustainability index module. Keywords - Sustainability. Civil Construction. Complexity. AHP

<p>Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP), is the method of multiple-criteria decision analysis. AHP; severity of the important criteria in deciding the pairwise comparisons and it carries out the sequence of decisions alternatives. AHP is a powerful and easy to understand method that allows combining qualitative and quantitative factors in the decision making process for groups and individuals.</p><p>AHP in finance is a frequently used method especially financial performance appraisal, credit appraisal, the financial failure prediction, estimation of the exchange rate and the selection of projects. Evaluation and selection of projects is a difficult task before making investment decisions. In this context, it has been developed a case study to determine the best project by applying the AHP technique. For this purpose, considering four criteria, the best projects between options have been identified and evaluated by alternative four projects.</p>

Penelitian ini membahas tentang pemilihan supplier bahan baku kayu pada CV Fifa Pratama Mebel dengan menggunakan pendekatan AHP. Hasil pengolahan data dengan metode AHP dapat diperoleh lima kriteria dengan tingkat kepentingan secara berurutan yaitu kriteria harga menjadi prioritas pertama dalam pemilihan Supplier ini dengan bobot nilai (0,395), kemudian kriteria berikutnya yaitu kualitas dengan bobot (0,267), prioritas kriteria ketiga yaitu pengiriman mempunyai bobot kriteria (0,144), dan yang keempat kriteria pelayanan dengan bobot (0,098) kemudian prioritas terakhir yaitu kriteria ketetapan jumlah dengan bobot (0,097). Kemudian dengan AHP pula diperoleh bahwa Supplier yang direkomendasikan untuk diprioritaskan dengan memperhatikan kriteria-kriteria diatas adalah Supplier terpilih pertama yaitu Supplier A dengan bobot prioritas (0,351) kemudian urutan prioritas kedua Supplier C dengan bobot (0,346) dan prioritas ketiga yaitu Supplier B dengan bobot (0,306).

Benchmarking is a method to improve performance and improve company competitiveness. This method has been commonly practiced by large companies and has recently been extended to small and medium enterprises (SMEs). However, the implementation between large and SMEs is very different. These differences are debated as an impact of company characteristics, specifically differences in the ability to develop and improve business. Typical SMEs face tough challenges to overcome their resource constraints. This limitation affects the decisions of SMEs in choosing their comparison partners. This research was conducted to fill the research gap regarding the use of the Benchmarking method and the AHP approach to SMEs, especially in determining Benchmark partners using the AHP approach. The use of benchmarking and AHP is illustrated by using SME objects that are engaged in the fashion sector, namely UKM Cotton.Go. The problem faced by UKM Cotton.Go is marketing communication that is not effective in creating sales so it needs to be determined benchmarking partner in making improvements to marketing communication. The use of AHP in determining benchmark partners helps SMEs to find out which benchmark partners have the best marketing communication performance.

Loans for civil servants and police employees must be given to employees who are entitled to receive them. Lending without any criteria makes other employees not accept them. Lending using criteria ensures that the employee given the loan is an employee who deserves to receive it. The ahp method is able to complete the selection of employees who are eligible for the loan. Because of the criteria that can determine the weight value for each attribute, and then proceed with a ranking process that will select the best alternative from a number of alternatives. In this case, the alternative in question is the one who is entitled to receive a loan based on attributes, or determining criteria in selecting employees who are eligible to receive loans. Based on the ranking, Juliana Situmorang's employee has the highest score of 0.977 compared to other employees. The ahp method is the right step in determining employees who are eligible to receive loans.

The analytic hierarchy process (AHP) has been the most popular tool for the field of decision making in the past 30 years, because of its simplicity and rationality. Construct a hierarchy system for evaluation by decision makers. Hence, only the effect of outer-dependence can be considered in the AHP. However, besides outer-dependence, correlation is another common effect between criteria which cannot be accounted for neither by the AHP nor by the analytic network process (ANP). Hence, in this paper, we extend the AHP to consider the correlation effect. In addition, a biobjective programming model is proposed to derive the result. Furthermore, the traditional AHP can be considered as the special case of the proposed model when the correlation effect between criteria is ignored. Finally, a numerical example is given to justify the proposed method and compare the result with the AHP.

Karena masih baru, maka pembelajaran e-learning perlu dievaluasi agar menjadi lebih baik lagi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengevaluasi pembelajaran e-learning untuk mengetahui seberapa besar metode tersebut dapat diterima oleh mahasiswa. Alat yang kami gunakan untuk mengevaluasi adalah Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP). Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa masih lebih suka metode tatap muka daripada e-learning karena dengan tatap muka materi lebih mudah diserap dan interaksi dengan dosen lebih terjalin jika dibandingkan menggunakan e-learning. Namun e-learning punya kelebihan yaitu waktunya yang lebih fleksibel dibandingkan tatap muka, serta pengumpulan tugas dirasa lebih mudah dengan e-learning.

Analytic hierarchy process (AHP) refers to a decision-making method that decomposes the elements related to decision-making into goals, criteria, plans, and other levels and performs qualitative and quantitative analysis. Ecotourism is one component of sustainable tourism. Due to ecotourism activity, ecotourism links the reserved area with local residents and tourists. The aim of this research is to identify the proper ecotourism activity in Diaoluo Mountain National Nature Reserve with the help of the AHP method. The motivation behind the use of AHP is its widespread use in the decision-making process of selection of suitable candidate or alternative spot for tourists’ activity in the domain of ecotourism. The result shows that the most suitable ecotourism activity is “visit and experience life in the original ecology villages of Li and Miao ethnic minorities with a guide.” The proposed AHP decision-making method has effectively been used to select ecotourism activity based on multiple criteria evaluations.

Salah satu metode yang dapat digunakan adalah metode Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) dimana proses rekrutmen karyawan baru dengan metode AHP bertujuan untuk membantu manajer dalam pengambilan keputusan pada proses seleksi karyawan baru dengan menyajikan alternatif-alternatif yang ditampilkan dalam bentuk sistem perangkingan alternatif. Pada jurnal ini studi kasus dilakukan pada PT. Mitra Bisnis Seluler Kota Bukittinggi yang pada saat ini sedang melakukan proses rekrutmen karyawan baru. Untuk mempermudah manajer dalam pengambilan keputusan seleksi rekrutmen karyawan baru dengan metode AHP maka akan sehingga akan menghasilkan karyawan yang benar-benar berkualitas. Rekrutmen karyawan baru menggunakan 4 kriteria yaitu administrasi, pengetahuan, psikotest dan interview dengan CR= 0,01 yang menunjukan kriteria dapat diterima karena hasil yang ditunjukkan CR<10%. Analisa dilakukan terhadap 5 sampel kandidat karyawan baru yang menghasilkan perankingan dimana kandidat 3 memperoleh nilai tertinggi yaitu 0,28. Setelah proses pengujian dilakukan dengan aplikasi rekrutmen karyawan baru menggunakan metode AHP yang diterapkan pada 5 kandidat karyawan baru menunjukan bahwa sistem dapat dikategorikan dalam kondisi yang baik digunakan untuk pengambilan keputusan oleh manajer dalam proses seleksi karyawan baru.

Abstract:
Cocoa powder comes with various attributes in its taste affecting consumer acceptance. The analytical hierarchy process (AHP) approach can be used to identify the effect of each attribute on the sensory profile of cocoa powder. This present study used the AHP approach to determine the degree of importance of sensory attributes on several types of cocoa powder and find the type with the best sensory profile. Cocoa powder comes from cocoa beans made through fermentation and non-fermentation process. In addition, we used non-fermented cocoa powder treated with water and incubated at 45oC for 4, 8, and 16 hours later named as incubated cocoa powder. Then, the sensory attributes of fermented cocoa powder were used as the reference in assessing the sensory profile of incubated cocoa powder, including the one going through the treatment. The sensory analysis performed by trained panelists revealed 11 attributes that made up the flavor profile of cocoa powder. Of these 11 attributes, only 4 were considered primary attributes with a high degree of importance, including chocolate (23.7%), sweet (19.9%), caramel (11.8%), and nutty (10.9%). Other attributes had a lower degree of importance, including creamy (7.4%), fruity (6.5%), green (5.4%), flowery (4.8%), astringent (4.5%), bitter (3.1%), and acid (2.2%). AHP also ranked the incubated cocoa powder based on the similarity of the flavor profile with fermented cocoa powder. Nonfermented cocoa powder without treatments fell into the lowest rank, while nonfermented cocoa powder with treatments fell into a higher category in the following order: 8 hours > 16 hours > 4 hours. To summarize, AHP can be used in decisionmaking affected by many factors. AHP has been proven effective in determining the sensory profile of cocoa powder, especially in choosing the attribute withthe highest effect. In addition, AHP helps determine the best treatment for incubated cocoa powder to produce the most similar sensory profile to fermented cocoa powder.

Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut, dibutuhkannya Sistem Pendukung Keputusan yang dapat membantu pihak sekolah dalam melihat pengaruh prestasi belajar siswa. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengambilan keputusan terhadap pengaruh prestasi siswa yaitu metode Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP). AHP dapat disusun berdasarkan sebuah model hierarki yang dibuat bersamaan dengan para pengambil keputusan agar dapat memberikan solusi melalui nilai bobot yang paling tertinggi di tiap-tiap kriteria dan alternati yang dfisajikan. Sistem pendukung keputusan dengan metode AHP dapat mengetahui bobot prioritas dari kriteria. Dan dari penelitian yang dilakukan menunjukan bahwa pengaruh paling tinggi terhadap menurunya prestasi siswa adalah Kurikulum dengan Value Rank 0,2282.

The rigid pavement on many roads is considered as a solution due to the increasing traffic load that requires high performance and durability of the road construction. However, the implementation of rigid pavement takes a longer time to reach its concrete strength until the road operation. Some industries have developed pavement from precast concrete panels to reduce construction time. This paper discusses the comparison of rigid pavement between precast concrete and conventional concrete. Two road sections are Jalan Margomulyo Surabaya using precast-concrete-pavement and Jalan Semarang-Jambu using conventional-concrete-pavement chosen as research objects. Cost, construction time, serviceability, and traffic performance are the four variables reviewed in this study analyzed using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method with considers 15 competent experts as respondents. Based on the analysis shows that a road improvement project by using precast-pavement is more effective and efficient with a score of 58.42 %, while the score of conventional concrete is 41.58 %.

The banking sector plays a vital role in growth-supporting factor for economic growth in the world’s fastest-growing economies like India. Recently, Islamic banking has become an increasingly popular method for alleviating poverty, financial inclusion and economic development around the world. Its importance is highly needed in developing and emerging countries such as India. The main purpose of the paper is to identify and prioritize the critical impeding factors for Islamic banking growth in India. The study is conducted in two stages: the first stage involves investigating the current literature works regarding the challenges facing Islamic banking industry in India, while the second stage is based on identifying and prioritizing these challenges according to its importance in hindering Islamic banking growth by Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP). AHP is a multi-criterion decision making tool for organizing and analyzing decisions, based on qualitative and quantitative measures. The results show that the regulatory environmental challenge is the most significant factor among other factors in impeding the growth of Islamic banking in India followed by lack of Islamic banking experts and scholars. The third main challenge is lack of awareness for Islamic banking instruments followed by lack of standardization and the last is lack of cooperation and coordination between Islamic banking authorities. This study is considered the first one to address empirically the challenges facing Islamic banking industry in the world and particularly in India.

A risk assessment practice determines the risk both quantitatively and qualitatively, such that risks are analysed and assessed thoroughly. Several methods are available to mitigate the failures in a construction project. This project focuses on identifying risks and mitigating them to reduce failures. On a questionnaire basis, a survey from various employees working on different projects is conducted by considering seven major factors of risks and the normalised score of each factor is ranked. Based on the normalized score values, least three risk factors were identified and Analytical Hierarchy Process(AHP) is applied by manual calculations. AHP is based on human judgements and objective evaluation, which examines the consistency of the evaluation by Eigen values. Validation of the identified factors is also done through MAT Lab and is compared with the manual method. Consistency and hierarchy of the identified factors has been found out, thereby mitigating the failures and increasing the efficiency of the projects.

Oleh karena itu perlu adanya analisa yang mendalam dengan mempertimbangkan semua variabel yang berpengaruh dalam penentuan metode konstruksi. Salah satu metode yang dapat diaplikasikan untuk membantu dalam pengambilan keputusan metode konstruksi yang tepat adalah Metode Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP). Metode ini memiliki kemampuan dalam menyusun skala prioritas (sebagai faktor bobot) dari variabel yang kompleks dan mudah diaplikasikan, sehingga metode ini dapat dijadikan alat untuk pengambilan keputusan penentuan metode konstruksi yang mudah dan cepat. Pengambilan data dilakukan melalui kuisioner dan indepth interview dengan responden yang memiliki kepakaran (pengetahuan, pengalaman, dan keterampilan yang baik dalam penyusunan metode konstruksi). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metode AHP ini dapat disusun sebagai sistem pengambilan keputusan penentuan metode konstruksi pekerjaan basement dengan tepat. Bobot prioritas yang dihasilkan dari AHP dapat dijadikan parameter untuk menentukan nilai keputusan penentuan metode konstruksi berdasarkan ketersediaan sumber daya yang dimiliki pada proyek tersebut.

The security category does not escape a strict security system. The Security Task Force (SATGASKAM) is a unit that guards every agency and company in order to avoid crime. There were several problems in the security unit recruitment process. This applies a conventional assessment. It is said to be conventional because the assessment system in the recruitment only involves human reasoning abilities from a number of predetermined criteria. In this study, the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method was applied for the security guard recruitment system. The selection process uses criteria which are the requirements for being accepted as security officers. The criteria used are the level of education, the equality value, the psychological score, and the results of the interviews. These criteria include the requirements contained in the regulation of the Head of Police of the Republic of Indonesia. The research method is carried out in several stages by comparing the AHP calculation process and the process of the result value of the system. The AHP process begins by determining the criteria, the eigenvalues. The results of the AHP method show transparency in recruitment with respective values and have a certain weight according to the priority of the agency.

Penelitian ini menghasilkan sebuah aplikasi web yang memberikan informasi rekomendasi pada user atau pengguna dalam hal ini merupakan calon wisatawan. The decision-making method used is Fuzzy Analytical Hierarchy Process (F-AHP) method which is widely used in various sectors. After performing the analysis by using the proposed method, it was found that technological facilities, diversity, cost and environmental conditions were the most critical factors according to SF-AHP and PF-AHP methodologies. According to these criteria, the educational programming platform ‘Tynker’ was determined to be the best alternative using both these methods.

The purpose of this paper is to present a decision support system supplier selection of food industry raw materials especially cake and bakery, by using new technology that is famous for its robustness that is Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP). The importance of this research is to find a new varian of the AHP application, therefore increase scientific literature related the method especially for cake and bakery industrial. Furthemore, to provide a reference of selecting raw materials supplier methods in the industry. The model starts by identifying the main criteria (quality, price, delivery, and service) using the main criteria ranking based on the opinions of experts using AHP. The second stage is identifying the sub criteria (materials supplied halal and equipped with halal certificates, sample tests and physical observations, price of goods, maximum and continuous capacity and supply capacity, discount price levels and certain purchases, the existence of supplier offices and cooperation and reference commitments) and their ranking based on the main criteria. The results of this study indicate that the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method can produce a decision support system that the right results according to field data at Virgin Cake and Bakery. The results of this study indicate that overall the best supplier to be chosen by the company to be use as a long-term co-worker is supplier A because overall this supplier has the highest value compared to the other three suppliers.

Hasil yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini adalah penerapan metode AHP dimana setiap kriteria dan alternatif dinilai berdasarkan tingkat kepentingan masing- masing dan dilakukan perbandingan berpasangan setiap kriteria dan alternatif sehingga diperoleh bobot masing- masing kriteria dan alternatif. The application of the analytical hierarchy process (AHP) to the risk analysis of deep excavation was investigated. Firstly, the occurring probabilities of various risk factors during deep excavation were calculated. Secondly, the aftereffects of the risks were concluded by consulting the experts. Thirdly, the weight of each risk factor was obtained by AHP. Finally, the total risk of deep excavation could be evaluated by fuzzy complex evaluation. This risk analysis method was applied to evaluate the total risk of a real deep excavation, and the exemplification verified its feasibility.

Dari beberapa review penelitian yang ada di Indonesia telah banyak yang menerapkan metode Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) untuk membantu dalam proses pendukung keputusan. Lembaga/ organisasi tersebut bergerak, dibidang Akademik, Swasta, Rumah Sakit, Pariwisata, dan Pemerintah. This study tried to implement the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) and the weights of the criteria and sub-criteria to find the best supplier. According to QCDFR (quality, cost, delivery, flexibility, and responsiveness). This study took place in one of the biggest tile producers, ranks fifth in the world and the first in Indonesia. However, the company currently only uses quality, cost, and delivery methods to choose the best supplier of raw material, namely feldspar. This research tries to use the systematic method to find the best supplier based on the importance of the criteria. The method used the quantitative approach to enumerate the data to analyze the information. The company analyzed six suppliers. The primary tool used in this research is a Super Decision Software version 3.2 to create and manage the AHP model, enter the judgments, get results, and perform sensitivity analysis on the results. The result found that Semarang is the best supplier. The company will choose Semarang to become the company's business partner compared to the other suppliers because Semarang has met the criteria that the company prioritizes the most. By having the best supplier selection, the company can provide the right material consistency and suitable material suitability.

This research aims to help develop aviation safety policies for the general aviation industry, especially for flight training schools. The analytical hierarchy process (AHP), fuzzy AHP, and fuzzy integral methods were used to find variables that impact aviation safety for training pilots in Korea and the United States using survey participants’ experience and perceptions. The results represent the circumstances of aviation safety in the real world where single pilot resource management, especially situational awareness, is crucial. The authors find that integral fuzzy AHP provides more explicit considerations, making up for the ambiguity of the linguistic responses caused by the AHP and fuzzy AHP.
