Image analysis of wear particles is a suitable support tool for detail analysis of engine, gear, hydraulic and industrial oils. It allows to obtain information not only of basic parameters of abrasion particles but also data that would be very difficult to obtain using classical ways of evaluation. Based on the analysis of morphological or image characteristics of particles, the progress of wearing the machine parts out can be followed and, as a result, possible breakdown of the engine can be prevented or the optimum period for changing the oil can be determined. The aim of this paper is to explore the possibilities of using the image analysis combined with the method of analytical ferrography and suggest a tool for automated particle classification. Current methods of wear particle analysis are derived from the evaluation that does not offer an exact idea of processes that take place between the friction surfaces in the engine system. The work is based upon the method of analytical ferrography which allows to evaluate the state of the machine. The benefit of use of classifiers defined in this wirk is the possibility of automated evaluation of analytical ferrography outputs; the use of them eliminates the crucial disadvantage of ferrographical analysis which is its dependence on the subjective evaluation done by the expert who performs the analysis. Classifiers are defined as a result of using the methods of machine learning. Based on an extensive database of particles that was created in the first part of the work, the classifiers were trained as a result, they make the evaluation of ferrographically separated abrasion particles from oils taken from lubricated systems possible. In the next stage, experiments were carried out and optimum classifier settings were determined based on the results of the experiments.

This master’s thesis is focused on IP mobility support for mobile users and their devices in IPv6-based wireless networks. Then the Mobile IPv6 (MIPv6) protocol was proposed for this purpose and that is also the main objective of the thesis. This consists of several basic sections and is organized as follows: The first one deals with the overview of the function of Mobile IP, which enables the mobility of nodes around the Internet, without a change of their original IP address. Moreover there are introduced the primary differences between MIPv6 and its previous version – i.e., MIPv4, proposed for IPv4-based environment. The second chapter of the master’s thesis thereafter describes detailed information about all the most important mechanisms and features of Mobile IPv6 and this way tries to explain principles of its functioning. Further the thesis analyses some of proposed MIPv6 extensions – i.e., Hierarchical Mobile IPv6 (HMIPv6), Mobile IPv6 Fast Handover (FMIPv6) a Fast Handover for HMIPv6 (F-HMIPv6) protocols, and mainly aim at signaling process during the handover of a mobile node. In the last main section of the master’s thesis an analytical method to evaluate the performance of IPv6-based mobility management protocols was proposed. Subsequently, this method is applied on the protocols which were mentioned above and are studied the effects of various network parameters on the performance of these protocols.

The theoretical part describes the essence of reverse engineering including the conditions that need to be met before its implementation, UML tools, methods of creating new information systems, CASE tools and the quality of service provided in the field of information technologies. The practical part talks about developing veterinary clinics information system, specifically the process of changing chosen functions, creating new modules and providing a solution to integration with other connected systems. This approach demonstrates the process of using reverse engineering and evaluates its benefits as well as compares it to the direct implementation of changes to an undocumented system. Both approaches are evaluated based on chosen criteria and their importance.

This diploma thesis' main subject is to design a service that automatically analyses (e-shop) data, interprets them and consequently provides users with results of this analysis via web service. Design of this service includes concept composition its technical solution and market verification. The main purpose of this thesis is to design an online service for small and medium sized e-shops, that will (based on provided data) deliver information for e-shop performance optimization. Aspects taken into account are service functionality, its technical solution and business plan destined for its market launch. Theoretical part focuses on analysis of online analytical tools that are available for users on market. It looks at internet e-shops market and analyses users' requirements for analytical tool/service either. This part delivers a list of currently available analytical platforms and services that are convenient for e-shops to be used. Then these tools are compared amongst each other. Criteria for comparison are the usability of service, its user experience, positive and negative aspects related to these predefined criteria. Practical part of this thesis specifies functional and non-functional requirements on service, its user interface. The whole concept is verified on market by interview. Discovered requirements are consequently applied in technical solution design and business plan composition. Overall view of functionality and feasibility of the newly designed service and its verification in real environment is the preoccupation of this part as well.

This thesis deals with problematics of secure operations of microcontrollers. During long-term use, the microcontrollers can be affected by error or malfunction. The aim of this thesis is to describe the types of errors which can affect processors, cause of creation of these errors and possibilities of preventing malfunctions in microcontrollers. There is many problems connected with operation of microcontrollers, therefore there are many methods to prevent these problems. First part of this thesis deals with description of types of mistakes and with attempts of theirs modelling. Second part of this thesis narrate possibilities of preventing each type of mistake during designing the system or during operation of microcontroller and explaining methods of fault toleration by using redundant circuits in case of hardware fault and by modifying source code in case of software faults. In third part the hazard analytical methods are described. The recognition of events able to damage the system has high importance. The risk analysis takes place during developing and during operation of the system. Fourth part is trying to describe some of the processor testing techniques as main method of finding errors before operating use of microcontroller. Last part attempts to practical draft of testing algorithm for chosen microprocessor and application of one of analytical techniques.

This master thesis deals with analytical calculation of the various flange connections using theory of thin-walled bodies and axisymmetric assumptions. The calculation is demonstrated by one specific geometry configuration. Numerical finite element method was performed to verify analytical calculation model and also this method enabled more in-depth analysis of the prying effect which has negative influence on the bolt connection tensile load. Output from this analysis is prying point location function in plate thickness dependence and application this function into analytical calculation.

The theoretical part describes the different types of heatmaps, their position within the framework of the web analytics and the principles of working with them. The content of the practical part is formed by the analysis of seven specific web pages and a recommendation for their optimization.

This dissertation is focused on proposal for simplified data analyze approach for sport-car vehicle dynamic evaluation with relationship to possibility for qualified estimation of set-up parameters influence for overall vehicle performance. In common practice can be usual overlapping effect caused by concurrent changes of car setup elements if performed in the same moment with resulting in not correct or hardly definable process determination for evaluation and decision about next steps in car development. For analyze of these multidimensional data is then chosen process with approach by Linear Regression Model (LRM). In dissertation is proposed basic philosophy with concern on specificity of car vehicle dynamics, performed experiment with defined inputs including analyze and interpretation method of obtained outputs. This methodic take into account also possibility for general application of multidimensional data analyses not only in motorsport, but as well for dynamic behavior diagnostics of technical systems where finding of optimal running condition depends on multi-parametric setup whose combination must reflect often changes of outer conditions too.

Fluid flow maldistribution plays a key role in equipment used in process and energy industries, although its evaluation is often underestimated or fully neglected. Uneven flow distribution may cause thermal or mechanical load on the tube bundle, and in extreme scenarios, it can also have an adverse effect on the process efficiency. This thesis aims to find the optimal computational tools for flow distribution prediction suitable for the initial stage of the equipment design process and to identify suitable settings of these tools for their subsequent industrial deployment. The results of simplified analytical models, detailed numerical simulations, and experimental measurements were compared for the dividing header and the U-type distribution system. It was found that the results provided by simplified mathematical models, the solution of which is also significantly less time-consuming compared to detailed CFD simulations, best correspond to the measured experimental values in all modeled configurations. For arrangements with higher lateral resistance coefficient, both computational approaches provide approximately equally accurate results. However, for arrangements with lower lateral resistance coefficient, the deviation of the results obtained by CFD calculations from the experimental data is significantly larger.

The theoretical part focuses on defining key terms, distinguishes types of social media and describes present social networks situation in world and in the Czech Republic from a users perspective and in the Czech Republic also from an enterprises perspective. Furthermore, the theoretical part also deals with possibilities that social networks can offer to the SMB enterprises. And as well it identifies different types of analytical tools that can be used for purposes of monitoring customers or analysis of customers. In the beginning of the practical part there is introduced the company Dobrutka.EU s.r.o. (the e commerce B2C company). Afterwards is presented the analysis of the survey about how SMB companies that operate the best Czech e-shops monitor and analyze their activities and customers from the social network Facebook. Subsequently there is handled the selection of appropriate tools for SME companies, which are also analyzed in the following chapter. At the end of the practical part there is practical application of knowledge from the thesis to Dobrutka.EU s.r.o. through the design and pilot deployment of appropriate procedures and analytic tools, whose effectiveness is evaluated at the end of chapter. The main benefit is in act of finding and verification of free tools and effective method that allows for detailed analysis of company customers even for micro companies and thus also effectively achieve positive economic results even in emerging facebook presentations.

Characteristics of synchronous machines with permanent magnets depend among others on geometric layout of the machine section. Unlike EC motors, where rectangular arrangement of quantities is suitable, these machines require sinusoidal behaviour. Specific forming of individual machine parts is partially derived from this requirement. This thesis deals with design of such machines, including various geometrical modifications of their sections and examination of influence of those modifications. The thesis includes also analytical calculation procedure of machine parameters as well as verification of final characteristics using the finite element method. It results in a combination of various design methods. FEMM, Maxwell RMxprt and Maxwell 2D Transient Analysis programs were used for verification. Individual modifications of machine geometries are applied to machines with concentrated windings with different ratio of number of slots and poles, and differences between machines and results of individual methods are compared.

The thesis is focused on the analysis of presently offered products supporting Business Intelligence (BI) which are affordable for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Current BI solutions available to SMEs are mostly offered via Cloud computing, specifically in the form of Software as a Service (SaaS) as it requires low initial acquisition costs. The objectives of this thesis are to analyse the work in applications for BI in cloud that can be used by SMEs and to analyse in detail the comparison the worldwide extended reporting tools distributed as SaaS in the lower price category. The theoretical part provides a description of the Cloud computing and the BI system. In the practical part are selected following products: IBM Watson Analytics, Qlik Sense Cloud, Zoho Reports, Tableau Public and Microsoft Power BI. Practical testing of these applications was based on evaluation of the selected metrics with weights calculated by using the Fuller's triangle. Analyses and the information form the basis for comparison of selected applications. The contribution of this thesis is in discovering the strengths and weaknesses of these BI solutions. The output of this thesis can be used as a source for the selection of BI applications for SMEs.

Then we use MSSQL server and SSAS to create a controlling model. The company will be able to unambiguously and quickly identify weaknesses in production and quickly eliminate them. Finally, we evaluate the real benefits of this project for the company.

This thesis analyses tools for mobile web portal logs processing which could be used for reporting of required metrics. The area covers not only web analytics, but also mobile web and mobile handsets capabilities. The objective is to analyze possibilities of existing products which can be used to process web logs and choose appropriate existing or propose proprietary solution. This solution should comply with requirements and limitations given by the portal platform limitations. Theoretical part introduces the web analytics domain and the mobile web environment. Basic concepts and metrics are described as well as the fundamental data collection methods and mobile internet basic specifics. The knowledge of the web analytics and mobile web basics are crucial to be able to eruditely assess the tools capabilities introduced in the second part of this thesis. In the practical part, there are technical details on the mobile portal operating environment described. The requirements for the tool outputs are defined there and the prospective ready-to-use solutions are researched. The final part of the text addresses the final solution for the mobile portal reporting tool including the operational data processing. The secondary output of this thesis comprises of explanation of the mobile web analytics area for the broader audience. The main output of the practical part is analysis and specification of the requirements for mobile portal reporting tool and design of the solution with the supervision of the implementation and deployment within the production environment.

The aim of the thesis is to analyse the influence of websites usability on the conversion rate and assessment of the effects of the changes in the usability of the specific e-commerce. Well-designed website is a very hot topic as more and more even smaller companies are using the Internet environment to trade their goods or to present their company. This thesis explains the concept of usability of a website and analyses the usability of a specific website. The thesis also explains the influence of usability on visitors behaviour. It gives readers an insight into some methods and analysis of websites that can be both of quantitative and qualitative nature. The main practical focus of the thesis is traffic and usability analysis of particular small company website. Usability analysis is performed by the amateur usability testing, and there are changes implemented to the web. Traffic analysis data are obtained from the analysis tools of websites, such as Google Analytics, Piwik and Mouseflow. Information about the conversion rate and the effect of changes in usability is also obtained from these data.

This thesis deals with the analysis of Big Data in healthcare. The aim is to define the term Big Data, to acquaint the reader with data growth in the world and in the health sector. Another objective is to explain the concept of a data expert and to define team members of the data experts team. In following chapters phases of the Big Data analysis according to methodology of EMC2 company are defined and basic technologies for analysing Big Data are described. As beneficial and interesting I consider the part dealing with definition of tasks in which Big Data technologies are already used in healthcare. In the practical part I perform the Big Data analysis task focusing on meteorotropic diseases in which I use real medical and meteorological data. The reader is not only acquainted with the one of recommended methods of analysis and with used statistical models, but also with terms from the field of biometeorology and healthcare. An integral part of the analysis is also information about its limitations, the consultation on results, and conclusions of experts in meteorology and healthcare.

Business analytics refers to the skills, technologies, applications and practisies for continuous iterative exploration and investigation of past business performance to gain insight and drive business planning. Business analytics focuses on developing new insights and understanding of business performance based on data and statistical methods. Business intelligence traditionally focuses on using a consistent set of metrics to both measure past performance and guide business planning, which is also based on data and statistical methods. Analytics makes extensive use of data, statistical or quantitative analyses, explanatory and predictive modeling, and fact based management to drive decision, making. Analytics may be used as input for human decisions or may drive fully automated decisions. In other words, querying, reporting, OLAP, and alert tools can answer questions such as what happened, how many, how often, where the problem is, and what actions are needed. Business analytics can answer questions like why is this happening, what if these trends continue, what will happen next, what is the best that can happen (optimize). Example of application analytics in different areas: banks use data analyses to differentiate among customers based on credit risk, usage of other characteristics with appropriate product offering. Harrah's company (from 2010 renamed and called Caesers entertaiment. Gaming corporation that owns and operate over 50 casinos, hotels, and seven golf courses under several brands), uses analytics for customer loyalty programs. Deere & Company (manufacturer of agricultural machinery like tractors, combine harvesters, sprayers and other) saved more than $1 billion by employing and implementing a new analytical tool to better optimize inventory. We can mention areas where within analytics are basic domain model: sales/retail business, financial services, risk & credit, marketing, fraud, pricing, telecommunications, supply chain, transportation and many others.

There are kinds of starters, function principle, construction, advantages and disadvantages in the first part of thesis. Issues with combustion engine starting and basic technical requirements are also mentioned here; characteristics and importance of starters and combustion engines are also described. Last chapters of this part are dedicated to finite element method and its implication. There are analytical calculations of starter in the second part of thesis. Results are compared with experimental obtained (measured) values and results from RMxprt. Finite element method results are compared, too. Magnetic induction improvement in stator is also suggested.

V současnosti je velmi aktuálním tématem generování elektrické energie z alternativních zdrojů, zejména z vibrací. Zařízení, která přeměňují mechanickou energii na elektrickou, využívají často ke své činnosti piezoelektrický jev. Pro optimální nastavení takového elektromechanického měniče pro danou aplikaci je třeba mít k dispozici výpočtový model, který bude schopný postihnout všechny klíčové aspekty jeho provozu. Tato práce se tedy zabývá vytvořením takovéhoto nástroje, který je schopen komplexně popsat elektromechanickou odezvu studovaného piezoelektrického měniče energie v podobě vetknutého, vícevrstvého keramického nosníku s piezoelektrickými vrstvami. Uvažovaná vícevrstvá konstrukce je během své činnosti vystavena kinematickému buzení a je rovněž zatížena tepelnou zbytkovou napjatostí vznikající při její výrobě. Vytvořený výpočtový model využívá klasickou laminátovou teorii k určení statické elektromechanické odezvy dané konstrukce. Elektromechanická odezva při kmitání uvažované konstrukce v ustáleném stavu je získána s využitím Hamiltonova variačního principu a teorie kmitání prutů. Vytvořený výpočtový model je dále schopen odhadnout zdánlivou lomovou houževnatost dané vícevrstvé konstrukce pomocí metody váhových funkcí. Výstupy vytvořeného výpočtového modelu jsou ověřeny s využitím numerických simulací na bázi MKP a dostupných experimentálních výsledků. V diplomové práci je následně vytvořený výpočtový model aplikován při hledání optimálního rozložení jednotlivých vrstev konkrétního vícevrstvého nosníku s cílem maximalizovat jeho elektrický výkon a odolnost vůči šíření povrchových trhlin, resp. vzniku křehkého lomu. Tohoto cíle je dosaženo pomocí vhodného rozložení tepelných zbytkových napětí v jednotlivých vrstvách uvažované konstrukce (řízeného použitými materiály a tloušťkami jednotlivých vrstev).

This master's degree thesis focuses on predictive analytics. This type of analysis uses historical data and predictive models to predict future phenomenon. The main goal of this thesis is to describe predictive analytics and its process from theoretical as well as practical point of view. Secondary goal is to implement project of predictive analytics in an important insurance company operating in the Czech market and to improve the current state of detection of fraudulent insurance claims. Thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. The process of predictive analytics and selected types of predictive models are described in the theoretical part of the thesis. Practical part describes the implementation of predictive analytics in a company. First described are techniques of data organization used in datamart development. Predictive models are then implemented based on the data from the prepared datamart. Thesis includes examples and problems with their solutions. The main contribution of this thesis is the detailed description of the project implementation. The field of the predictive analytics is better understandable thanks to the level of detail. Another contribution of successfully implemented predictive analytics is the improvement of the detection of fraudulent insurance claims.

Analytical requirements may not only apply to the test technique, but also to the quality of the sample, which is inseparable from it. What is recently seen as the biggest drawback, the new technology is trying to use as its main priority. This is undoubtedly true of atomic emission spectrometry.

This thesis deals with the design and implementation of a tool for generating drums triggers from a downmix record. The work describes the preprocessing of the input audio signal and methods for the classification of strokes. The drum classification is based on the similarity of the signals in the frequency domain. Principal component analysis (PCA) was used to reduce the number of dimensions and to find the characteristic properties of the input data. The method support vector machine (SVM) was used to classify the data into individual classes representing parts of the drum kit. The software was programmed in Matlab. The classification model was trained on a set of 728 drum samples for seven categories (kick, snare, hi-hat, crash, ride, kick + hi-hat, snare + hi-hat). The success of the system in the classification is 75 %.

Its goal is to describe the implementation of a software application that facilitates this type of extraction, focusing on the version control system Git. The theoretical part of the thesis identifies and analyses data stored in repositories. It also evaluates the tools available on the market using specific criteria. The practical part specifies development requirements, describes the resulting software application, and contains a how-to manual for extending the application and implementing one's own metrics that lead to gaining information. The application is developed in the CoffeeScript programming language and Node.js engine. It contains several example metrics. The output is a graphical user interface with interactive graphs served by a built-in HTTP server. Another output option is a machine-readable export to a file.

The aim of the thesis on the topic of High-Performance Analytics is to gain a structured overview of solutions of high performance methods for data analysis. The thesis introduction concerns with definitions of primary and secondary data analysis, and with the primary systems which are not appropriate for analytical data analysis. The usage of mobile devices, modern information technologies and other factors caused a rapid change of the character of data. The major part of this thesis is devoted particularly to the historical turn in the new approaches towards analytical data analysis, which was caused by Big Data, a very frequent term these days. Towards the end of the thesis there are discussed the system sources which greatly participate in the new approaches to the analytical data analysis as well as in the technological solutions of High Performance Analytics themselves. The second, practical part of the thesis is aimed at a comparison of the performance in conventional methods for data analysis and in one of the high performance methods of High Performance Analytics (more precisely, with In-Memory Analytics). Comparison of individual solutions is performed in identical environment of High Performance Analytics server. The methods are applied to a certain sample whose volume is increased after every round of executed measurement. The conclusion evaluates the tests results and discusses the possibility of usage of the individual High Performance Analytics methods.

Ve druhé části je vysvětlena aplikace jedné z metod - analýzy návštěvnosti - na definovaný model. Práce popisuje teoretické pozadí analýzy návštěvnosti a její techniky použitelné pro hodnocení a zvyšování efektivnosti internetových prezentací.

This thesis deals with the issue of social networks in terms of business support and their use for commercial purposes. Based on long-term statistics from the most widely used social networks in the Czech Republic, this thesis describes the main principles of using these social networks as a means of increasing profit or turnover. Particular attention is paid to Facebook, the leading social network in the online world. This study concerns the combination of marketing and the IT world, which nowadays has a key role in the sale of products and services. This study should show the importance of the combination of these two worlds. The practical part of the study is the analysis of the communication of the RunCzech Running League (formerly the Prague International Marathon), including a detailed analysis of one their competitors on the market. For the analysis appropriate metrics were selected, which were measured using special tools. The conclusion includes a comprehensive evaluation and presents suggestions for more effective future communication of the RunCzech running leagues in the field of social networking.

Data Analytics is one of the fast-developing applications of IT in organizations worldwide. This Master's thesis examines data analytics in the context of internal and external audit. Principal aim of the thesis is to identify the opportunities for data analytics application in both audit disciplines. Secondary goal is to design a data-analytical procedure, apply it to actual business data and thus demonstrate the benefits of employing data analytics. The thesis builds on a summary of theoretical sources of the relevant area, followed by a survey conducted by the author. The survey maps current state of data analytics usage in both internal and external audit in the Czech Republic. The added value of this thesis is, apart from the identification of audit areas in which it is beneficial to use data analytics, the design of an analytical procedure and its application. Another benefit is the survey revealing current state of the art and the insights of interviewed auditors, pointing to both benefits and problems of data analytics application to the performance of the audit profession.
