The doctoral thesis deals with analysis of the ageing of concrete and reinforced concrete pipes in sewage systems. The ageing of the sewage system is caused by several reasons, for example material abrasion, chemical and biological corrosion and subsequent static overload sewer construction. One of the common causes of degradation of sewage systems made from materials bonded with cement sealant is biogenic sulphate corrosion. Due to the corrosion the degradation of the pipe walls accelerates, particularly in upper part of the pipe and reduces planned lifetime of the sewage system. There is proposed new ageing analysis monitoring method for observation and evaluation of the loss of thickness of concrete and reinforced concrete pipes, which is caused by biogenic sulphate corrosion. Residual lifetime is calculated from the expected corrosion rate, it`s the loss of wall thickness on the monitored section of the sewer system. There is designed the monitoring system of the loss of wall thickness on the sewage system for practical application of the measurement procedure, which is administrated in cooperation with the BVK, a. s. The thesis uses existing knowledge regarding this subject. We use this information for better understanding of the process of the loss of wall thickness in sewage systems in real time and the posibility to correct and in-time implementation of appropriate operational measures. This should cause the limitation of the degradation process of piping material while extended service life and safe operation in sewage systems within the required time period. Based on the methodology is proposed to determine the residual life of the sewage system and maintenance and rehabilitation can be done more effectively. There is needed to be noted that only long-term monitoring period can bring a better overview of the technical condition of sewage systems in time and thus better and more effective maintenance and rehabilitation, which is related to the effective u

The degree of polymerization (DP) is the main factor which plays a role in cellulose aging. The adverse consequence of cellulose fibers aging is the deterioration of mechanical and optical properties. Viscometry is a technique which is frequently used for determination of degree of polymerization of cellulose fibers. The aim of the work was to determine the degree of polymerization of cotton fabrics and to investigate the dependence of DP on number of washing and dying. Next task was to investigate if there exists a corellation between DP and results from thermal and thermo-oxidative degradation studied by methods of thermal analysis. First, the traditional viscometry was employed to determine DP of cellulose fibers. It has been demonstrated that number of washing and dying decreases the DP. In the second part the differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and thermogravimetry (TG) were used. DSC provided values of combustion heat and TG allowed the detail evaluation of degradation steps; obtained results were further used for correlation with DP. Methods of thermal analysis revealed differences between cotton wool and treated fabrics. Combustion heat did not show any correlation with DP. In contrast, results from TG suggested some promising correlations which could be used for the prediction of cotton fabrics DP using thermal analysis in the future.

Advanced computational methods for the analysis of building structures are used more often in engineering practice. Their use is enforced not only by the demands for aesthetics, functionality and high economy of the construction, but often directly by code provisions and requirements. Therefore, it is necessary to provide for an engineer the robust, but transparent tool, which can be used for an efficient design of structure all over it's design working life. This work deals with the creation of a computational system for time dependent analysis of concrete and composite structures. It is assumed a solid or composite concrete section with possible application of pre-tensioned and/or post-tensioned tendons. Each phase of step-by-step build composite cross-section has a general geometry. The used algorithms give us the possibility of a detailed analysis of the structure in individual construction stages, provide the designer better view on the behavior of structures with respect to concrete aging, shrinkage and creep, relaxation of prestressed tendons and provide an information on the redistribution of internal forces in the structure and in different phases of the cross-section. Stress state of the structure calculated in this way come in useful further in the design and checking of ultimate and serviceability limit states. Results of time dependent analysis are verified by manual calculations and by comparing with the results obtained by simplified methods.

In recent decades, the fact of an aging population has become one of the most discussed phenomena in all economically developed countries. Its main consequence is the increasing number of people relying on the assistance of another person. The goal of this thesis is to provide quantitative estimation and suggestions of the possible future need for social services for the elderly within the Czech Republic as such and also with the reference to the evolution of the situation in individual regions of the country. The introductory chapter deals with the demographic development of population in the Czech Republic and in all its regions individually, on the basis of which an obvious and steady trend of population aging is confirmed in the past and future years. The second chapter focuses on the characteristic of regional facilities in selected social services as well as on the costs and financing of such services. On the grounds of findings from the previous chapter, the final chapter is dedicated to the estimation of the future evolution of the care recipients in the senior age groups in all regions in the Czech Republic. All this consistently on the basis of the projection of the evolution of the population until the year 2050 and projections of the structure of the beneficiaries of care allowance by level of the dependence in the year 2010. The result of the analysis indicates that the existing capacity of social services for elderly will not be sufficient due to the trend of aging population. With regard to that fact, some possible measures, that could be a future source of a solution of this unfavorable situation, are suggested in the conclusion of this thesis.

This dissertation studies the impact and consequences of possible retirement plan reforms on subjects in the Czech Republic. The first part focuses on classification of pension systems and fundamentals of the Czech pension system. Second part summarizes major aspects of the retirement plan reform. Changes in the pension system in the process of ageing of the population are highlighted in this section. Following is the fundamental part of the dissertation that will point out possible consequences of the retirement plan reform for the Czech Republic. The conclusion of the dissertation aims to discuss needs of all parties participating on the retirement plan reform and outline an optimal reform plan. This is the conflict point of the interest of the public and those of the government. However, it is a government's responsibily to act on behalf of the citizens and that is the paramount factor of the reform.

Jádrem této disertační práce bylo studovat optické a elektrické charakteristiky tenkovrstvých elektroluminiscenčních součástek řízených střídavým proudem (ACTFEL) a zejména vliv procesu stárnutí luminiforů na jejich optické a elektrické vlastnosti. Cílem této studie měl být příspěvek ke zvýšení celkové účinnosti luminoforů, vyjádřené pomocí jasu, účinnosti a stability. Vzhledem k tomu, že současnou dominantní technologií plochých obrazovek je LCD, musí se další alternativní technologie plošných displejů porovnávat s LCD. Výhodou ACTFEL displejů proti LCD je lepší rozlišení, větší teplotní rozsah činnosti, větší čtecí úhel, či možnost čtení při mnohem vyšší intenzitě pozadí. Na druhou stranu je jejich nevýhodou vyšší energetická náročnost, problém s odpovídající barevností tří základních barev a podstatně vyšší napětí nutné pro činnost displeje. K dosažení tohoto cíle jsme provedli optická, elektrická a optoelektrická měření ACTFEL struktur a ZnS:Mn luminoforů. Navíc jsme studovali vliv dotování vrstvy pomocí KCl na chování mikrostruktury a na elektroluminiscenční vlastnosti (zejména na jas a světelnou účinnost) ZnS:Mn luminoforů. Provedli jsme i některá, ne zcela obvyklá, měření ACTFEL součástek. Vypočítali jsme i rozptylový poměr nabitých barevných center a simulovali transportní charakteristiky v ACTFEL součástkách. Studovali jsme vliv stárnutí dvou typů ZnS:Mn luminoforů (s vrstvou napařenou či získanou pomocí epitaxe atomových vrstev) monitorováním závislostí svítivost-napětí (L-V), velikost vnitřního náboje - elektrické pole luminoforu (Q-Fp) a kapacitance-napětí (C-V) ve zvolených časových intervalech v průběhu stárnutí. Provedli jsme krátkodobá i dlouhodobá měření a pokusili jsme se i o vizualizaci struktury luminoforu se subvlnovým rozlišením pomocí optického rastrovacího mikroskopu pracujícího v blízkém poli (SNOM). Na praktickém případu zeleného Zn2GeO4:Mn (2% Mn) ACTFEL displeje, pracujícího při 50 Hz, jsme také studovali stabilitu svítivosti pomocí měření závislosti svítivosti na napětí (L-V) a světelné účinnosti na napětí (eta-V). Přitom byl zhodnocen význam těchto charakteristik. Nezanedbatelnou a neoddělitelnou součástí této práce je i její pedagogický aspekt. Předložený text by mohl být využit i jako učebnice pro studenty na mé univerzitě v Lybii.

The master's thesis deals with the determination of mechanical properties of materials used for 3D printing (PLA, PETG, ABS, ASA). The theoretical part contains characteristics of polymer materials and describes testing of mechanical properties and additive technologies. In the experimental part, the standardized samples produced by the technology Fused Filament Fabrication were analysed using mechanical tests (tensile test and hardness test). Some of the examples were exposed to the selected factors of degradation. Selected parameters from mechanical testing (tensile strength, modulus of elasticity in tension, elongation and Shore hardness) were statistically processed. The conclusion of the thesis evaluates the impact of the factors of degradation on particular materials and compares them subsequently.

The first step of the hierarchical approach to the international market segmentation is described and demonstrated in this master's thesis. The theoretical part that covers the methodology, statistical background and secondary data sources is followed by the illustration of cluster analysis. The outcome is the division of thirty European countries into five segments with respect to the post-productive population. The formed segments are then characterised and interpreted. Their usability is shown in three challenges in the European Year of 2012, which is dedicated to Active Ageing.

Practical part modifies the methodology artificial aging which is simulated in QUV tester and Q-SUN XE3 tester lumber-rooms. The thesis is trying reach with the results to natural aging as close as possible. The testing captures attributes which are more prone to degradation.

On the basis of the demographic analysis is created a SWOT analysis of demographic trends of the South Bohemia population. Czech Republic, like other European developed countries, has to deal with impacts of population ageing. The number of older people in society grows therefore the drain on workers in productive age is rising. Population ageing causes problems within current setting of the Czech pension system, especially in long-term sustainability of public finance. Hence added involvement of elderly people into working process becomes necessary. The goal of this Masters thesis is to analyse the situation of older workers on Czech labour market between 2005 and 2015 and to find some possible solutions that would increase the employment rate of people before and in retirement age. There are four chapters in the theoretical part that are dealing with population ageing, labour market, specificities of employing older workers and tools used to increase the employment rate. The practical part is focused on demographic situation in the Czech Republic and especially on analysis of the situation of older workers on the Czech labour market in comparison to countries of the European Union. Analysis that was carried out confirms that the overall employment rate of older workers in the Czech Republic is on a good level however there are some areas that need to be improved. For example, option of using part time working contracts is underused as well as the motivation of elderly people to stay economically active. In the last chapter there are possible solutions suggested. These recommendations could strengthen motivation of older workers to stay on labour market and in the same time should motivate employers to employ these workers.

This master thesis deals with research of Subjective Quality of Life for population fifty years old or more, depending on the selected demographic, social and economic indicators. More and more people live to the older ages, and thus important question of living conditions and well being of this ageing population comes forward. General concept of Quality of Life of older people is described on wide theoretical scale with focus on the cause of the phenomenon, Demographic Ageing of populations. The Demographic Ageing is described not only on the theoretical level, but also in a quantitative way. There are specific fertility rates introduced according to an age of a mother while birth giving, or still increasing Life Expectancy at Birth for both males and females. To explore the dependencies of Subjective Quality of Life on selected indicators, there is a statistical model introduced. The input indicators come from the European panel data research Survey of Health, Ageing and Retirement in Europe. Techniques used for analyzing the data are Analysis of variance for one single wave (held around year 2013) and Panel data analysis for all available waves (from 2004 to 2013). The results from both analyses for the Czech Republic are compared with results for selected countries, Germany, Sweden, Spain, Italy and Greece. From the SHARE data set can be read the following results. The variable Age significantly influences all included models for all selected countries, the similar influence can be observed for the Education. For almost all countries and models is proving of the significant influence of Gender to Subjective Quality of Life indefinite (we are not able to observe significant influence). Also the influence of the variable Living alone/with other people is not perfectly convincing. On the other hand, significantly observable categories are Unemployed and Permanently sick or disabled. The question of Quality of Life is related to all parts of population. While the number of older people in population increases, this question of the quality of their lives becomes more and more important. The way how to secure those needed, powerless and often vulnerable people in a decent way and with dignity is not easy.

The thesis deals with the use of hydrophilic mineral wool in green roof structures. In the first part of the thesis, based on current legislation, there are summarized relevant technical properties of the hydrophilic wool. Specific demands on the green roof parts were classified and the work was consequently updated by the research of available products from the national market. A large part of the thesis consists of the extended documentation of technical properties of new products and also the changes that are associated with ageing after the material incorporation into the structure. Not only the laboratory properties of the material itself, but also properties of the material embedded in green roof structure were measured, for example an acoustic capabilities. Water accumulation properties of the mineral wool were documented on the real roof models too. Various impacts were observed by using mineral wool in comparison with substrate assemblies. Additional experiments were applied on using different types of mineral wool for an assessment of specific green roof vegetation adaptation. The environmental product declarations for each mineral wool product were calculated with the specific software using LCA methodology. In this way, the environmental impacts of mineral wool could be compared with other materials, such as artificial substrates, foils, etc. As a conclusion of the research results were summarized and reported demands for the hydrophilic mineral wool use in the green roof structures.

1 Abstract: The aim of this study quantify and compare the differences in the dynamics of foot movement compared with static in adulthood and old age, focusing on the midstance phase. A secondary objective is to outline the relationship with the angular distribution of pressure on the sole. For measurements two measuring methods were used. The kinematic analysis named Qualysis was used as a main method and system of plantar pressure insoles Pedar X as a complementary method. The difference in measured distance of 1-MP calcaneus, 5MP - calcaneus and pronate angle of calcaneus was prooved using the statistical calculation, which confirmed the hypothesis of half clear a significant degree. Subsequently, the changes were further specified using the results of the distribution of maximum force and contact time of the soles.

This diploma thesis is focused on the analysis of the impact of population aging on household savings in the Czech Republic, United Kingdom and Germany. The aim of this thesis is to evaluate the impact of population aging on household savings rates. The first part of the thesis defines the basic concepts, their characteristics and describes the theoretical relationship between the aging of the population and the household savings rate. The next part of the thesis deals with the qualitative analysis, which is focused on the analysis of population aging development and the household savings rate in the monitored countries. The last part of this diploma thesis is focused on quantification of the impact of population aging on the household savings rate through multidimensional regression analysis. The results show that the impact of aging populations on household savings rates varies from country to country. In the Czech Republic, population aging increases the household savings rate. In the United Kingdom, aging population decreases household savings rate. In Germany, population aging is not significantly influencing the household savings rate. Household savings rates in Germany are significantly influenced by other determinants.

Analysis of the impact of ageing on health care spending in selected countries of the Commonwealth Abstract This thesis examines and analyses development of population ageing in Australia, Canada and New Zealand and especially its impact on the spending in the sector of health care. It includes comparison of demographic trends and description of health care systems in selected countries. The analysis is then processed by an econometric model focused on the impact of population ageing on government spending and spending of the private sector on health care through life expectancy at birth, ratio of population aged 65 years and above and other indicators. The modelling is carried out using linear regression, vector autoregression and fixed effects model in panel data. The results show that population ageing indeed affects through different intensity both government and private sector spending on health care in Australia, Canada and New Zealand.

The changing population age structure suggest a further investigation of the process of ageing and the quality of later life. Among other affairs higher age is associated with high risk of social deprivation. One way to assess quality of later life is concept of successful ageing. This concept emphasizes health of older adults, and comprises their active engagement in the society. This thesis explains phenomenon of ageing process, population ageing, and late life limitations related with health. The objective is to evaluate impacts of social deprivation factors on the successful ageing. The author of the thesis suggests a set of criteria to determine which respondents are considered as those who aged successfully. Among these criteria belongs self- perceived health, symptoms of depression and limitations in daily life activities. Influence of social deprivation factors on successful ageing was investigated by means of statistical analysis. Utilizing data from SHARE survey, relationship between factors of social deprivation and successful ageing was analysed using binary logistic regression. Results reveal significant influence of social deprivation factors on successful ageing in Europe. In addition of these factors differs in Europe and Czechia.

This dissertation thesis is concerned with the topic of socioeconomic demography in the Zdar nad Sazavou district. The first part is devoted to literary research. It provides readers not only with a definition of the term demography, a survey of demographics but also with division of demographical structure of the population from different perspectives: sex, age, education and marital status. Then, there are described demographical processes such as birthrate, miscarriage rate, death rate, marriage rate, migration and economical activity. The practical part focuses on the development of the number of inhabitants in the Zdar nad Sazavou district in the years 1991 2015 with the prediction for five forthcoming years. The Zdar nad Sazavou district is described in detail from the perspective of demographical structure according to sex, age and education. There are presented the most important indexes: economic activity in the district and the analysis of commuting people. At the end of the thesis, a cluster analysis is made according to demographical, economical and business level.

Time series analysis is used to assess changes in individual pension types and in the income and expenditure of the pension system. The thesis is furthermore focused on the average amount of the retirement income. The data analyzed come mainly from the database of the Czech Social Security Administration. Based on the information obtained, some measures for improving the Czech pension system are proposed.

Natural organic dyes suffer from degradation during the time. Therefore, the works of art need to be restored and the identification of dyes by analytical methods is important here. The possibilities of using three separation (thin-layer chromatography - TLC, capillary zone electrophoresis - CZE, and micellar electrokinetic chromatography - MEKC) and two spectroscopic (infrared microspectroscopy - IR and Raman microspectroscopy) methods for the identification of red dyes (acaroid, brazil, dragon blood, kamala, logwood, cochineal, madder, lac, and sandalwood) were studied and critically discussed. In TLC, under optimised conditions (silicagel with octadecyl, 80/20 (v/v) MeOH/1% TEA in 0.1 mol·dm-3 acetate buffer, pH 5, and 80/20 (v/v) MeOH/1% TEA in 0.025 mol·dm-3 tetraborate buffer, pH 7 and 9), the stain broadening of sandalwood, logwood, acaroid, dragon blood, and brazil was observed. Carminic acid, haematein and purpurin were not detected. A comparison of CZE and MEKC showed that MEKC was superior as it permits separation of all analytes, using 0.015 mol·dm-3 sodium dodecyl sulfate in 0.01 mol·dm-3 tetraborate buffer, pH 8.5, at a voltage of 20 kV. The thesis focuses on the quantification of selected demographic aspects that affect aging of the population in Czech Republic. Thesis compares and specifies regional differences in natality, mortality, marriage rate and divorce rate. Theoretical part focuses on the analysis of the theoretical background of specialized literature, which constitutes the basis implementation of the practical part in the form of demographic research. For practical part were used secondary data from publicly available database ČSÚ. From statistic methods were used regression analysis, cluster analysis and extrapolation of time series. Regression analysis showed influence of the selected indicators for aging population of Czech republic. Aim of the cluster analysis was grouped 14 regions into clusters based on similarities and diferences. Part of the results was prediction of mortality and natality indicators, marriage rates, divorce rates and aging index in the five years period to 2020.

Analysis of pension insurance products under the influence of demographic change Abstract The main objective of this study is to analyze pension insurance products, which are from the long term point of view the basis of the financial preparation for the pension period (the period of economic inactivity). In the first part are presented demographic changes of the Czech population in the period from 1991 till 2011 and their long term subsequences. Demographic changes are essential determinants of the need to secure another source of income in addition to the pension provided by the state. In the second part are discussed selected pension insurance products, namely building savings, pension insurance with state contribution and life insurance. The goal is to show possible amount of money saved by people during the saving period and subsequently possible amount of pension payable from different pension products in the relationship with the demographic changes.

In choosing the subject of this degree work I was led by the effort to give an exhaustive integral report on the development in the sphere of the social and health care and to analyze the facilities for social sevices in the region of Příbram. As it is not possible to evaluate the facilities for social services without the description of basic historical events, of current demographic indexes and without the indication of the future development, the historical part together with the specification of particular groups threatened with social exclusion (seniors and handicapped people) forms an indispensable chapter of the theoretical part of this degree work. In connection with the fact that the region of Příbram is a specific industrial locality with signs of changes in the original structure of the population, it is possible to state that the people moved herein show less family solidarity and unity with each other. For that reason more facilities for social services are at disposal in this region. It is the unity care service rendered not only in own homes but directly in the houses of the clients as well, that has the oldest tradition among all providers The family nursing care rendered by one of two organizations has already the tradition of more than 15 years too. As to the care of seniors, the most significant provider that is the allowance organization "Pečovatelská služba města Příbram". This organization offers field care service and runs the home for seniors.The service, that supports especially the security of the seniors in their households, that is AREÍON-Život 90 with about 50-60 clients.A great advantage is also the fact that a part of providers of social and associated services have the seat at the same place, in the Community Centre. As to the care of handicapped people the strongest point are the family care CHOPS and SANCO, the field care service and other services rendered by "Pečovatelská služba města Příbram", the activities of unions and organizations associating handicapped people, assistance services and consultancy, community centre Příbram VII, day centre in the town nursery school and in the rehabilitation short stay hospital It is not simple to prognosticate further development as to rendering social services a relatively active social policy on the local level and a large extent of collaboration among particular groups of those, who provide social services, are promising and hopeful for the future.An important role will play the fact whether these organizations will obtain sufficient financial means needed for ensuring the services, they offer, within the sphere of multisorce financing. The demand for services and staffs meeting the requirements fixed by the Act on social services will be of great importance too.

Residents of retirements homes in region of Zlín in point of demographic view Abstract Presented work introduces the law no. 108/2006 on social services that determines retirements homes as one of the facilities providing social services. The capacity of these facilities in the Zlín region is evaluated with the help of availability indices and facility normatives. More detailed attention was drawn to an analysis of age, gender, former permanent address and dependence degree of residents in selected retirement homes. This part of the research is based on data provided by five retirement homes in Zlín region. Obtained data was evaluated with the Kaplan-Meier method in order to estimate surviving function for these clients. The resemblance was tested employing the determination of the null hypothesis by log-rank test or Wilcoxon test. This diploma thesis was focused on the study of integrity, its aspects, forms and resources in seniors, which we have identified as persons with a high degree of integrity based on established criteria. The aim of this work was to capture and understand the unique life experience of these seniors. The work consists of a theoretical and empirical part. The theoretical part consists of explanation of concepts of integrity and old age, in particular we focus on Erikson's conception of integrity and concept of successful aging. The empirical part consists of qualitative research aimed at finding sources and manifestations of integrity in three unique life stories of seniors aged 75-91. We obtained data for our research in a home for the elderly through semi-structured interviews, which we then analyzed using the method of interpretative phenomenological analysis. The results are presented from two perspectives. The first is an analysis of the experience of individual seniors, the second represents the perspective of themes that are important for integrity and appeared in most of our respondents. These themes are: Activity, Moral Integrity, Trust - Acceptance - Surrender, Ways of Living, Modesty, Relationship Orientation and Spirituality. In this work we focused on the application of physical activity, which aimed to reduce the negative impact of physical deprivation and associated functional and structural changes in the musculoskeletal system. The principal criterion was the diagnosis of the organ systems of the locomotor system, focusing on the muscular system. The subsequent application of appropriate forms of exercise intervention was designed to mitigate the effects of the aging process and functional changes in the body of the senior individual. Finally, we wanted to assess the impact of changes in body composition in its own self- sufficiency and independence of older people and the quality of life of older people in terms of physical and psychosocial aspects. The most significant is the loss of muscle mass, sarcopenia development, increase fat mass with frequent reductions in body weight. The focus of our work and its specific purpose is to clarify the influence of the applied physical interventions. The theme of the diploma thesis is the policy-making process, specifically the process of making of the National Action Plan for Positive Ageing for the Period 2013 - 2017. It's about exploring its creation from the viewpoint of active members of the Government Council for Seniors and Population Ageing, who was discussing it at meetings. The theoretical framework - Multiple Streams Framework deals with the aspect of policy entrepreneurs. Using qualitative, semi-structured interviews and then analysis of qualitative data, it was possible to explore the means, used by policy entrepreneurs to promote their ideas at meetings. This diploma thesis does not only study the creation of an action plan, but also the identification of policy entrepreneurs, through document analysis. After that were analysed primary data from interviews with members of the Government Council for Seniors and Population Ageing, who had been appointed by The Ministry of labour and social affairs. The main goal of this diploma thesis is the explanation of process of creation a new Conception of Family Policy in perspective of Institutional Analysis and Development Framework by Elinor Ostrom. In particular, data from seven expert interviews, minutes from meetings of the Family Policy Expert Committee and other documents of a legislative and non-legislative nature are used to meet the objectives and answer the research questions. The core of this thesis is the analysis of four action situations and relevant rules-in-use in the process of creation the Conception, namely: creation of the Conception of Family Policy, internal commentary procedure, inter-ministerial commentary procedure and settlement of inter-ministerial commentary procedure. As a key actor, which is permeated by almost every action situation, there is a Family Policy and Aging Policy Department. The Conception was also created in cooperation with Family Policy Expert Committee, which is composed of experts from relevant areas.
