Abstract:
Background:Tofacitinib is an oral JAK inhibitor that is being investigated for juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA).Objectives:To describe tofacitinib pharmacokinetics (PK) in patients with JIA, identify potential covariates accounting for variability in exposure, assess the formulation effect of oral solution vs tablet and propose a simplified dosing regimen. Methods:This was a pooled analysis of data from 3 tofacitinib clinical studies in patients with JIA aged 2−<18 years: a Phase 1, open-label (OL), non-randomised study (NCT01513902); a Phase 3, randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled, withdrawal study (NCT02592434); and an OL long-term extension study (NCT01500551). Tofacitinib was dosed at 5 mg twice daily (BID) in patients ≥40 kg or at body weight (BW)-based lower doses BID in patients <40 kg, to achieve average concentrations (Cavg) comparable with those in patients receiving 5 mg BID. A sparse PK sampling scheme was applied, and the plasma samples were assayed using a validated, sensitive and specific high-performance liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometric method (lower limit of quantification = 0.100 ng/mL). A nonlinear mixed-effects modelling approach was used for the population PK model, and population parameter variability was assumed to be log-normally distributed. Covariates relating to patient demographics, disease characteristics, concomitant medications and formulation (oral solution vs tablet) were selected using a stepwise covariate modelling approach, and parameter-covariate relationships were evaluated using stepwise forward-inclusion (p<0.05) backward-deletion (p<0.001) procedures. The effect of time-varying BW on oral clearance (CL/F) and apparent volume of distribution (V/F) was characterised using an allometric model. Final model quality was assessed by Visual Predictive Checks (VPCs).Results:Of 246 patients in the analysis, 74.0% were female; 87.8% were white, 2% were black, 10.2% were ‘other’ races and no patients were Asian. Median (range) BW was 46.3 (11.1−121.8) kg. Initially, 100 patients received oral solution and 146 patients received tablets; 11 patients switched formulations during the studies. A one compartment disposition model with first-order absorption and a lag time sufficiently described the data. Final estimates for CL/F, V/F and the first-order absorption rate constant (ka) for tablets were 26.1 L/hr, 89.2 L and 2.78 hr-1, respectively. The only statistically significant covariate was a formulation effect on ka. All parameters were estimated adequately. Estimated allometric exponents were 0.310 for CL/F and 0.537 for V/F. Absorption was described with an estimated lag time of 0.186 hr, and the oral solution had a 1.64-fold faster absorption rate vs the tablet. VPCs sufficiently described the observed data over time, across BWs and ages. Given the PK characterisation and variability in patients with JIA, a simplified dosing scheme was proposed, targeting Cavgvalues equivalent to those in patients receiving 5 mg BID: 3.2 mg BID solution in patients 10−<20 kg; 4 mg BID solution in patients 20−<40 kg; and 5 mg BID tablet or solution in patients ≥40 kg.Conclusion:Tofacitinib population PK in patients with JIA were adequately described by a one compartment model parameterised in terms of CL/F, V/F and first-order absorption with a lag time. Drug absorption from the oral solution was faster than from the tablet. Tofacitinib does not require dose modification or restrictions for any covariates, except BW, to account for differences in Cavg. Based on the results of this analysis, a simplified BW-based dosing regimen was proposed.Acknowledgments:Study sponsored by Pfizer Inc. Using the Drucker-Prager elastoplastic constitutive model to describe the nonlinear deformation behavior of soil and simulating step loading on static test piles by ANSYS model which only consider linear elastic compression of pile body. By comparing ANASYS simulation value and the measured values of pile’s axial force and side friction, it shows that the greater the load ratio which transfer through the bottom of the pile, the pile-soil stiffness ratio increased; when vertical load is small, analysis results of elastic theory are fairly accurate. ANASYS simulation results have high accuracy when vertical load is bigger.

A faunistic survey of the Hispaniolan bugs of the family Coreidae is presented based on the study of over 1000 specimens deposited in several entomological collections. The new species Zicca gloriosa sp. nov. is described from the Dominican Republic. Another 12 species are new records for the island, 11 of them being new records for the Dominican Republic: Althos obscurator (Fabricius, 1803), Anasa acutangula Stål, 1870, Anasa tristis (De Geer, 1773), Eubule spartocerana Brailovsky, 1992, Leptoglossus confusus Alayo & Grillo, 1977, Mamurius cubanus Barber & Bruner, 1947, Merocoris distinctus Dallas, 1852, Merocoris typhaeus (Fabricius, 1798), Phthia rubropicta (Westwood, 1842), Sethenira ferruginea Stål, 1870, and Zicca rubricator rubricator (Fabricius, 1803). New records for Haiti are Anasa scorbutica (Fabricius, 1798), Catorhintha selector Stål, 1859, Chariesterus gracilicornis Stål, 1870, Rhytidophthia splendida (Valdes, 1910) and Zicca taeniola (Dallas, 1852). The literature citations presented in Perez-Gelabert (2008) of Leptoglossus cinctus (Herrich-Schäffer, 1836) and Leptoglossus stigma (Herbst, 1784) are probably based on erroneous identifications and not counted as part of the Hispaniolan fauna. Abstract:
The article is the first attempt to determine the peculiarities of the perception of folklore and mythological plots, with the image of Su Anasy in the center, by Tatar fiction. The relevance and significance of the present research is determined by the lacunarity of this scientific topic in the modern Turkology research. The investigation reflected in this article is based on the use of comparative, systemic, functional and genetic methods, as well as the reconstruction method. The use of these methods is determined by the desire to present a comprehensive analysis of the multifactorial influence of the folklore and mythological specifics of the Su Anasy image on its plot, ideological, ethical and aesthetic adaptation to the field of fiction, that is the aim of the present work. In the course of the analysis, it was established that the central image of the poem of Tatar classic G. Tukay is a kind of quintessence of the traditional worldview of the Tatar ethnos, accumulating the most archaic, basic epistemological and axiological constants. The revealed fact of the dialogue between folklore and imaginative literature, forms an ethnically marked consonance between the two varieties of verbal creativity, and we can claim that this very statement explains the fact that several generations of literary scholars assess the Gabdulla Tukay’s «Su Anasy» as a truly folk work.

Abstract:
A two-year study evaluated the effect of a flowering border of buckwheat Fagopyrum esculentum Moench on rates of egg parasitism, egg predation and adult parasitism on two squash bug species, Anasa tristis (DeGeer) and Anasa armigera Say, by comparing rates in squash fields with and without a flowering border. Furthermore, we evaluated whether there was an edge effect by comparing parasitism and predation rates in plots located in the corner of a squash field with plots located in the center of a squash field for fields with and without a flowering border. The egg parasitism rates were not affected by either treatment (flowering border or control) or plot location (edge or center). Anasa armigera egg masses only accounted for 4.3% of the total egg masses collected. The egg parasitism rates increased gradually throughout the season, peaking in the last week of August in 2017 at 45% for A. tristis egg masses. The most common egg parasitoid recovered was Gryon pennsylvanicum (Ashmead) followed by Ooencyrtus anasae (Ashmead). Adult parasitism was not affected by treatment, but A. tristis adult parasitism rates were higher in plots located on the edge of squash fields compared with plots located in the center of squash fields in 2016. Since adult parasitoid, Trichopoda pennipes (Fabricius) flies were observed visiting buckwheat flowers, future studies could explore the possibility that the flowering buckwheat may have a more impact on adult parasitism if there was a greater distance between fields with and without a flowering border.

DCPA at 11.0 kg ai ha−1 and terbacil at 0.5 kg ai ha−1 PRE controlled field violet 80 to 95%. Control with simazine PRE at 1.0 kg ai ha−1 was 70 to 75%. Oxyfluorfen at 0.6 to 1.1 kg ai ha−1 controlled 95 to 100% of the established field violet in dormant strawberries following a mid-winter application. Control with acifluorfen and lactofen applied during mid-winter was 75 to 90%. Oxyfluorfen applied to dormant plantings at rates in excess of 0.60 kg ai ha−1 caused foliar damage; however, yield was not reduced at rates up to 4.5 kg ha−1. Oxyfluorfen at 0.25 kg ha−1 caused severe injury to newly-transplanted strawberries.
