This report contains a programming improvement work in a LabVIEW™ fire testing furnace control system for SP Fire Technology in Borås. Here materials and products behaviour are tested and evaluated, being exposed to fire. For this task, UGNET is being used for control and surveillance of the testing furnace system. System hardware has been updated gradually through the years, while the software has been neglected. The task consisted of gaining knowledge of LabVIEW™ and the control system in whole. A further necessary measure is needed concerning program interface and localisation and elimination of useless code and program errors. Documentation from the work is presented in this report.The project group have approach these problems by analyzing code structure, searching and eliminating errors within the program and creating useful functions. All the updates has carefully been tested and checked during live furnace tests in the laboratory. Improvements have been made continuously in consultation with furnace operators and support from Benima.The work has resulted in a modern and well functioning UGNET program interface, eliminated useless code and a number of new useful program functions.<br>Uppsatsnivå: D

Abstract:
The main objective of this work is to create a program for automatic operation of measuring test track. The track is used for multi-hole velocity probes calibration. Normalized orifice plate is used as measurement standard. The program requires the user to enter certain information, which are not measured directly e.g. the values of measuring resistors, static air pressure. After entering this information, measurement can be started. The measurements are carried out simultaneously on the both flowmeters and on the thermomether Pt 100. The actual density of flowing medium is calculated from the measured temperature. Because the measurement is parallel, the calibrated flowmeter can be calibrated during the measurement.

The phase-locked loop is an important concept in the field of wireless communication. PLL:s have wide-ranging applications in many electronic circuits. The history and the basic principle of the phase-locked loop are discussed. The different building blocks and their roles are also described along with some of the major applications ofphase-locked loops. The thesis mainly describes how to build a phase-locked loop circuit using LabVIEW, as a laboratory experiment intended for a course in Radio Engineering. It was previously implemented in PSpice and this is described for comparison. The basic functions and features of LabVIEW are discussed. The primary circuit of a phase-locked loop is constructed in LabVIEW and its characteristics are noted. Some conclusions are drawn and future work on this phase-locked loop circuit using LabVIEW is suggested.

<p>In this bachelor thesis we focus on how to controlling different machines that would be used in the Bio-gas production processes. By useing the Labview program, we can do controlling, detecting, data storing and other jobs all together.</p><p>The whole project is just a blueprint for the following work, as for there are too many components and units that we haven't seen yet. What we have done is to design a program that could be used in reality base on the principle of the whole bio-gas producing processes. Actually we did a quite good job on designing the limited machines that we have in hand, like the Pt-100 unit and the circulation pump are working as well as we had imagined.</p><p>Hopefully, this thesis and the program I designed can give a direction for the following work on the project, and the most important part--temperature checking and controlling can work well in reality as we expected.</p>

Sleep scoring involves classification of polysomnographic data into the various sleep stages as defined by Retschaffen and Kales. This process is time-consuming and laborious as it involves experts visually scoring the data. During recent years, there has been an increasing focus on automated sleep scoring systems and professional software programs are finding increased use. However, these systems are not relied on for scoring and are often used as a tool that facilitates easy visual scoring. This thesis proposes a neural network based approach to automatic sleep scoring using LabVIEW. Effort has been made to give the sleep expert more control over key parameters such as the frequency bands, and thus come up with scores that are more in agreement with the individual scorer than being a rigid interpretation of the R&K rules. Though this thesis is limited to the development of an offline software program, given the data acquisition facilites in LabVIEW, a complete system from data acquisition to sleep hypnograms is a fair possibility.

The LabVIEW programming language has been used to configure this containing all of the error generation and processing in software. The simulator is used for testing networking protocols in a simulated space channel environment and can be used for other types of channels as well. This paper describes the design goals, hardware configuration, software, and testing of the simulator. This technique allows for rapid development and validation of the simulator.

This thesis focuses on BLDC motor control algorithms with model based design approach. Models and control algorithms were programmed in LabView, the NI MyRIO was used as a hardware platform. For hall-sensor feedback controlled application an already finished power inverter was used from a Honeywell rotary actuator. For sensor-less motor control an indirect sensing of BEMF signal is applied using motor phase current measurement. The time-critical parts of the algorithms are programmed for FPGA, the non-time-critical parts are programmed for LabView Real-Time module.

The virtual laboratory is divided into two groups. The first group is comprised of a virtual laboratory for simulation. It is mostly used for presentation and demonstration purposes. It is not necessary to install complicated and expensive software for their use. The second group of the virtual laboratory is a long distance measure. Real systems are measured with the help of this laboratory. The advantage of long distance measuring is that data from the measurements are saved directly onto the personal computer and they can be immediately evaluated. In this project the procedure for creating a virtual instrument for long distance measuring is described in the LabVIEW program. LabVIEW is a graphic developmental environment, for the measuring and analysis of data.

The main purpose of the thesis Automatic measurement of induction machine using LabVIEW was to develope an automated measuring system, which is used to perform tests of induction motors. The algorithm of the system is programmed in LabVIEW. In the practical part of this thesis, a measurement of the motor Atas Elektromotory Náchod a.s. T22VT512 is carried out, in order to verificate functions of the algorithm, and to perform tests of the motor to analyse losses. Another part of the work is dedicated to the electromagnetic calculation of the motor T22VT512. For this purpose, two softwares with different principles of calculation have been used. Firstly, the calculation is solved by an analytical based software called RMxprt. Secondly, the software Maxwell 2D is used to make the calculation of electric and magnetic fields by the finite element method.

This thesis was conducted in collaboration with Signal Processing (SP) Devices Sweden AB. SP Devices provides digital signal processing solutions for the enhancement of analogue to digital conversion (ADC). Their ADCs facilitate the development of products for Communications, Radio base stations, Radar, Signals intelligence and Test &amp; Measurement. The ADQ series digitizers, from SP Devices, are portable high performance digitizers which incorporate one or more analog inputs, an on-board double data rate (DDR2) memory and USB or PXI Express interface. DDR2 refers to the ability of a computer bus to transfer data on both the rising and falling edges of a clock signal. The ADCaptureLab software is a graphical user interface used to control this digitizer. ADCaptureLab, designed in the C/C++ programming language, is an easy-to-use standalone program which allows for configuration and operation of all ADQ series digitizers from SP Devices. The use of the LabView program from National Instruments forms the backbone of this thesis. LabVIEW (short for Laboratory Virtual Instrumentation Engineering Workbench) is a platform and development environment for a visual programming language from National Instruments. The topic of this thesis was to reproduce the ADCaptureLab user interface using LabView instead of C/C++. The graphical user interface (GUI) developed in LabView should be able to communicate with and control the processing of the ADQ214 digitizer (the digitizer model provided to us) in the same way as the ADCaptureLab. This would involve not only the data capturing and visualization but also digitizer configurations, monitoring of the device and ADQ functions and the analyses of acquired signal and FFT. In order to implement the configuration settings we developed functions for trigger settings (conditions at which a trigger will occur), Analogue Front End settings (AC/DC coupling), clock settings (sets the clock source), data type settings (set sample format), gain and offset setting (sets amplitude gain and mean value), pre-trigger settings (size of pre-trigger buffer), trigger hold off settings ( number of samples to wait for acquiring data after trigger), data acquisition length settings (Length of the acquired signal), continuous and single batch data acquisition, FFT transformation, save, load , and “clear plots” control (resets graph indicators). The functioning of our device may be monitored through the “Status window” (displays connection status of the ADQ device), “Devices window” (displays product information about the ADQ device), “Device monitor window” (returns the status of ADQ-API functions used) and the “Device information window” (returns information related to the revision of the ADQ device). Analyzing the acquired data and its corresponding FFT is made simple with the “Signal Properties” window (displays analyzed data), “Mark Harmonics” control (marks harmonics in the FFT) and the “Mark Signal Props” control (marks the fundamental tone and highest distortion in the FFT). Our LabVIEW GUI efficiently incorporates the features described above. In addition to being able to communicate instructions to the ADQ214 device we are able to monitor its condition and analyze any output. As the rapid development of the rail transportation industry, rail transportation becomes more popular as a component of urban public transport systems, but the fallen obstacle(s) from the rail platform becomes the terrible hidden danger for the rail transportation. As an enclosed public transport systems, rail transportation creates gathered crowd both on board and on the platform. Although railway is the safest form of land transportation, it is capable of producing lots of casualties, when there is an accident.There are several conventional systems of obstacles detection in platform monitoring systems like stereo visions, thermal scanning, and vision metric scanning, etc. As the traditional detection systems could not achieve the demand of detecting the obstacles on the rail within the platform. In this thesis, the author designs a system within the platform based on laser sensors, virtual instruments technology, and image processing technology (machine vision) to increase the efficiency of detection system. The system is useful for guarantying the safety of rail vehicle when coming into the platform and avoid obstacle(s) on the rail fallen from the platform, having a positive impact on traffic safety to protect lives of people.The author used LabVIEW software to create a simulation environment where the input blocks represent the functionalities of the system, in which simulated train detection and fallen object detection. In this thesis, the author mainly focuses on fallen object detection. For fallen object detection, the author used 2D image processing method to detect obstacle(s), so the function is, before the rail vehicle comes into the platform, the system could detect whether there is fallen obstacle(s) on the rail within the platform, simultaneously categorize size of the obstacle(s), and then alarm for delivering the results.

Research Institute under the Link Dependent Adaptive Radio (LDAR) project. In LDAR, the communication parameters such as modulation size and coding rate are updated based on the channel condition. In this simulation QAM size is updated based on the channel throughput in LabVIEW and a flight path using real aeronautical channels is simulated.

LabVIEW ger en snabb och enkel tillgång till att styra instrument och en mycket stor databas med drivrutiner för DAQ-kort och olika datorgränssnitt (GPIB, serie, osv.). Många instrument och datorer kan anslutas till GPIB-bussen.  Detta kan ge en praktisk modell för utveckling av instrumentets styrprogram i LabVIEW med hjälp av GPIB-gränssnittet. Ett program i LabVIEW 8.2 med hjälp av GPIB-bussen kan kopplas till t.ex. multimetern (HP-34401A) för att mäta och visa multimeters noggrannhet. Men på grund av fel i drivrutiner för GPIB-gränssnittet kunde jag inte köra programmet med GPIB-bussen. Genom att använda LabVIEW 8.2 med hjälp av DAQ-kort kan en PID-regleringsalgoritm simuleras. PID konstrueras med virtuella instrument som innehåller alla nödvändiga komponenter och utrustning som krävs för att reglera någon linjär eller olinjär process exempelvis att nivåreglera två tankar i serie. Här stöter vi på alla de grundläggande regulatorer och får möjlighet att bygga PID med LabVIEW på ett enkelt sätt. Det finns två metoder för att bygga PID. Den första är med matematiska funktioner och den andra är med ’’Simulations functions control’’. Arbetet visar att bägge metoderna fungerar bra för att lösa uppgiften jämfört med färdiga PID-controls på LabVIEW.

Dissertação para obtenção do Grau de Mestre em Engenharia Química e Bioquímica<br>This work aims to develop a LabVIEW interface for monitoring, controlling and automate the simultaneous experimental determination of one adsorption isotherm of gas in two distinct solid adsorbents. The magnetic suspension balance has two samples and this way it’s possible to determinate, simultaneously, the equilibrium adsorption for two different adsorbents. The developed software allows the registration of weight values and the control of the state of the balance, which has three main positions (ZP, MP1 and MP2). To determine a isotherm point is necessary for the system to reach the equilibrium. The software records the different values of ZP, MP1 and MP2, calculating the adsorbed mass values for each of the adsorbents. When the average of the adsorbed masses remain constant, the pressure value is changed and is possible to proceed with the determination of a new point isotherm. The software was developed in LabVIEW utilizing a software previously developed for a balance with only one sample. The old software was built using just one interface, which made the process of changing routines and new programming interfaces complicated. It was developed a sketch of a new software, now built in five separate blocks . To validate the interface for monitoring the magnetic balance, multiple tests were conducted at the installation, in order to confirm that the interface gets accurate results. The tests measured adsorption isotherms for CO2 in two simultaneous adsorbents, MIL-53(Al) and Zeolite 5A at different temperatures: 30 °C, 50 °C and 80 °C. From the results, it can be confirmed that the developed interface is acquiring the values of the weight correctly and applying well the correction of the zero point, allowing the user to simplify the process of determining adsorption isotherms.

This thesis presents position control as well as current (torque) control of a DC servo motor with a periodic input. Position control is achieved by using Fourier repetitive control scheme. Simulation on position control is carried out and results discussed. Experiment is executed based on a testing platform that is built using two, mechanically linked DC servo motors and LabVIEW to incorporate the Fourier repetitive control algorithms. The experiment results validate the feasibility of controlling motor positions via Fourier repetitive control scheme. Suggestions on improving the implementation of Fourier repetitive control theory are also made. Experiment results on current (torque) control are presented. The controlling of both position and current of the motors at the same time is also demonstrated.

Testning är en viktig del i tillverkningskedjan för att säkerställa kvalitet och funktion hos elektronikprodukter, och utförs ofta på flera nivåer innan den färdiga produkten lämnar fabriken. Produktionstester är rutinmässiga tester som tillämpas under masstillverkning och vid utformning av dessa måste tidseffektivitet prioriteras för att minimera negativ inverkan på produktionstakten. I detta projekt överfördes ett produktionstest för färdigmonterade borstlösa DC-motorer med drivelektronik till en ny testutrustning hos företaget Allied Motion. Testet skulle moderniseras och införas i företagets mjukvaruplattform uppbyggd i programspråket LabView. Testsekvensen kunde effektiviseras främst genom att kombinera dess delmoment och låta körningar av motorn användas för att testa flera egenskaper istället för att upprepas. Resultatet blev ett test som täckte in samma mätningar som i det äldre systemet med undantag för enstaka moment, samt mätte hastighet och momentkarakteristik med högre precision. Det omarbetade testet bestod av fyra deltester jämfört med tidigare tolv steg, och implementerades i fyra LabView-baserade testfall som kunde användas för att skapa en komplett testsekvens i plattformen. Uppgiften visade sig dock kräva mer tid och arbete än vad som uppskattats inledningsvis, och därför återstod flera av de arbetsuppgifter som planerats inom projektet att slutföra innan det nya testet skulle kunna tas i bruk i produktionen.<br>Testing is an important part of the manufacturing process to ensure the functional quality of electronics products, and is often performed in multiple stages during product assembly before the final product leaves the factory. Production tests are applied as a routine on all units in a production line, therefore time efficiency must be prioritized in the design of such tests in order to minimize the negative effect imposed on production rate. In this project an existing production test for fully assembled brushless DC motors was re-implemented for a new test equipment at Allied Motion. The purpose was to modernize the test and implement it in the company’s own LabView-based software platform. The test sequence was streamlined by combining and thereby reducing the number of steps, using the same motor runs to test multiple functions rather than repeating run sessions to collect data for similar test steps. The project resulted in a new test that, with a minor exception, covered the same measurements as in the old system and measured speed and torque performance with higher precision. The new test consisted of four partial tests instead of the earlier version’s twelve test steps, which were implemented in LabView-code as four separate test cases that could be used in creating complete test sequences in the software platform. The project task though turned out to require more time and effort than was initially estimated, and several parts that had been planned to be completed within the project time still remained before the test could be taken into use in the production line.

Dielektrické materiály jsou použivány v elektronice i v elektrotechnice. Jako jejich základní vlastnost může považovat změnu jejich charakteristik během jejich životnosti. Změny jsou způsobeny namáhaním materiálu vyvolané elektrickými či teplotími vlivy. Možnost jak určit průběh jejich charakteristik v závislosti na čase je měření proudu během aplikování elektrického napětí na materiál. Tyto experimenty vědci z LEMD provaděli ručně, tento postup ale není přílíš učinný pro vysokofrekvenční signály nebo pro experimenty s dlouhou periodou. Hlavním cílem této práce bylo vytvořit aplikaci v LabVIEW k ovládaní měřícího přístroje Keithley (generátor napětí) a k automatickému získavání měřených hodnot v pikoampérech. A partir de então os motores passaram a ser ensaiados em bancadas dinamométricas que possuíam módulo para medição de emissões e que simulavam condições mais reais de tráfego, segundo um ciclo de ensaios preestabelecido. Este trabalho contém um levantamento bibliográfico sobre o instrumental, metodologias e procedimentos utilizados nos ensaios dinamométricos permanentes e dinâmicos e propõe a implementação de uma metodologia para realização de ensaios em tempo real controlado por computador. Traz também os resultados experimentais relativos à parte da metodologia que foi implementada.<br>With the advent of petroleum crisis in the 70\'s, engines, previously calibrated in order to supply maximum momentum and power, after the crisis they started being calibrated to supply minimum specific consumption and emissions. After this, engines started being tested in dynamometric benches equipped with emission measure modules and that simulate traffic conditions closer to reality, according to a prior emissions cycle. This work contain a bibliographic survey about instruments, methodologies and procedures used in the steady-state and dynamic dynamometric tests and proposes the implementation of a methodology to perform real time tests controlled computationally. It brings too experimental results related to the implemented methodology.

Although the tunnel is well maintained, its data acquisition system has not kept pace with modem technology. An effective but affordable solution for acquiring data was needed. It was determined that a software package known as LabVIEW would provide a low cost, data acquisition solution that will enhance the capabilities of the wind tunnel, while at the same time making it more user friendly to faculty and students. The focus of this thesis is the design of a VI that will collect and plot force and moment data from a six component strain gauge balance and yield real time, non-dimensional, force and oment coefficients in six degrees of freedom. Wind tunnel tests consisting of angle-of-attack sweeps in the NPS aerolab low-speed wind tunnel were conducted t6 verify (IiD)Isp optimized, M=6, conical-flow waverider data obtained in 1994 using a different data acquisition system. Results of current testing substantiate the LabVIEW code and the validity of the 1994 test data. Analysis of the current wind tunnel test data resolved pitching moment concerns related to the 1994 data.

På KTH-Södertälje finns laborationsutrustning som inte har använts på länge. Utrustningen som behandlats i detta examensarbete är ett antal servobord. Ett servobord har en servomotor som roterar en cirkulär platta. Plattan är försedd med vita fält och en visare, och på utsidan av plattans omkrets finns markörer för olika vinklar. Detta tillåter att motorns vridningsvinkel går att avläsa. De vita fälten på plattan kan avläsas med optiska sensorer och möjliggör att motorn kan styras med hjälp av pulser. Motorn på servobordet är även sammanlänkad med en potentiometer. Potentiometern tillåter att spänningsnivåer, som står i relation till motorns vridningsvinkel, kan utläsas. Ett önskemål fanns om att denna utrustning ska kunna används i en laboration. Målet meddetta arbete är att programmera system för styrning av motorn till en önskad position. Därefter ska dessa system kunna ligga till grund för en laboration. De olika positionerna som motorn önskas styras till betraktades som våningsplan i ett hissystem. Visaren på den cirkulära plattan betraktades som en hisskorg. I LabVIEW skapades det användargränssnitt som tillåter att en användare bestämmer vilket våningsplan hissen ska åka till. För att skapa laborationen var nästa steg i arbetet att ta bort delar av programmeringen för att låta studenterna komplettera programkoden. Slutligen skrevs en laborationsinstruktion.<br>At KTH Södertälje there is laboratory equipment that has not been used for a long time. The equipment that was used in this project is several servo boards. A servo board is equipped with a servo motor that rotates a circular plate that has white fields and a pointer, and on the outside of the plate´s perimeter there are markings that indicate different angles. This allows reading of the motor´s angular position. The white fields on the plate can be detected by optical sensors and enables the use of pulses to control the motor. The motoron the servo board is also connected to a potentiometer. The potentiometer allows reading of the voltage that correlates to the angular position of the motor. A request was made about using this equipment in a laboratory exercise. The objective of this project is to program a system to allow control of the motor to a desired position. These systems will then be the basis of a laboratory exercise. The different desired positions of the motor were regarded as floors in an elevator system. The pointer on the circular plate was regarded as the elevator cage. A user interface was created in LabVIEW that allows a user to decide which floor the elevator should go to. To make the laboratory exercise, the next step was to remove parts of the program that the students then must complete. The last part of the project was to write an instruction for the laboratory exercise.

This thesis studies the techniques of small-signal impedance measurement in three-phase power systems. Stability issue has become critically important since power electronics are highly applied in power distribution and conversion systems. Controlled output systems cause the risk of instability. In order to obtain the impedance model, an impedance extraction in D-Q reference frame algorithm is developed. This paper also applied Interpolated Fast Fourier Transform to increase accuracy of impedance model. Based on the voltage injection, Phase-Locked Loop, Park Transform, D-Q reference frame, and IPFFT. Three-phase system has been realigned on D-Q coordinate and impedance model is extracted in this form. Firstly, impedance extraction algorithm is designed by MATLAB/Simulink, the algorithm includes PLL, D-Q transform, and IPFFT is used to obtain magnitude and phase angle in frequency domain. Impedance matrices in D-Q frame may be solved through the relation between currents and voltages. Impedance model is made through various tests. Secondly, using the algorithm to test RL circuit to verify with real bode plot of the circuit. Then apply the algorithm on sophisticated circuit model. Finally, implement the algorithm on LabView/Multisim for future hardware tests. This paper clearly describes the objective of the research, the research problem and approaches, and experiment setup. This paper presents work conducted at the Smart Grid Power Systems Laboratory at University of South Florida.

A norma da ABNT ISO/IEC 17025/2005 especifica requerimentos gerais para competência de laboratórios de ensaio e calibração. Um destes requerimentos é que instalações desses tipos devem sempre ter seus processos otimizados e para tal é necessário que as incertezas envolvidas sejam estimadas e reduzidas o máximo possível. Para atingir tal quesito, o Laboratório de Calibração de Instrumentos (LCI), o laboratório responsável por calibrações de dosímetros no Instituto de Pesquisas Energéticas e Nucleares (IPEN/CNEN), tem adquirido vários equipamentos para suas instalações, e em especial para o Laboratório de Calibração de medidores de radiação X. Dentre estes aparelhos, destaca-se uma roda de posicionamento de filtros com acionamento automático e o uso de softwares de controle com o intuito de melhorar o processo de calibração reduzindo a ocorrência de erros limitando ao máximo, por exemplo, a necessidade de intervenção humana. Um sistema de controle e aquisição de dados para calibração de instrumentos semi-automatizado foi desenvolvido com LabVIEW e está sendo submetido a sucessivos testes e melhorias. O programa é dividido em dois módulos: um responsável pela calibração da câmara monitora com relação a um dosímetro padrão de referência e outro responsável por calibrações rotineiras utilizando a câmara monitora como padrão de referência. Grandezas que influenciam as medições também foram analisadas e as devidas correções foram implementadas no sistema. Além de adquirir dados e controlar equipamentos, o programa também calcula coeficientes de calibração com respectivas incertezas. Uma análise final mostrou que o sistema de fato otimizou o processo de calibração, ajudando na redução da dose ocupacional e incertezas, diminuindo o tempo médio de calibração e previnindo erros de origem humana.<br>The Brazilian standard ABNT ISO/IEC 17025/2005 specifies general requirements for the competence of testing and calibration facilities. One of these requirements states that these facilities must always optimize their processes and thus, uncertainties must be estimated and lowered as much as possible. In order to achieve such goal, the Laboratório de Calibração de Instrumentos (LCI), a laboratory responsible for dosimeter calibration at the Instituto de Pesquisas Energéticas e Nucleares (IPEN/CNEN) have acquired some equipment for the LCIs X-Ray calibration system, such as a rotating filter holder, and it has also been developing software in order to provide the best calibration results with lowest external interferences (from the operator, for instance) to diminish the possibilities of error occurrences. A semi-automated LabVIEW-based calibration software has been developed at LCI and it has been subjected to constant testing and improvements so far. The software is divided in two basic modules: one is responsible for calibration of the monitor chamber with a reference standard dosimeter, while the other is used to perform instruments calibrations using the monitor chamber as reference. Several influence quantities have been analyzed and the proper corrections have been added to the software as multiplicative correction factors. The software is not only able to acquire data from all the equipment used in the laboratory, but also it is able to calculate calibration factors and its uncertainties. A later analysis shows how this system has optimized the whole calibration process, lowering the occupational dose, reducing the mean time of calibration, uncertainties and preventing errors caused by the systems users.

The purpose of this piece of work is to investigate the possibility to design a general program for data-acquisition using LabVIEW, suiting different hardwares and connections. Great importance has been attached to communication with serialport, using bluetooth, because different wireless PPG-instruments has been developed parallel to this project. These PPG-circuits uses this type of serialcommunication. Communication with USB, GPIB and analog connection has also been examined and analog communication has been tested practically. But any serious implementation of these types in the LabVIEW-program has not been made.The paper starts with theory where LabVIEW, bluetooth, PPG, different connections and the different PPG-sensors is described concisely. Theory is followed by a"performance-part"where the course of action and the LabVIEW- program is described.The result of the work is an application in LabVIEW for communication with different PPG-sensors, where interface, protocol and file-standard/format has been designed. The program is adapted to prolonged measurements with full duplex. Measurements can be saved into ascii- or binary format, and signals can be studied carefully in graphs.Since only one PPG-sensor is fully made, a test in measurement and acquisition has been made with that sensor only. Ragarding the other PPG-instruments, the communication has been tested in hyperterminal.</p>

Abstract In this bachelor thesis we focus on how the computer software LabVIEW test is used to a DC-motor through as a hardware incremental encoder and a USB-6009. By using LabVIEW, we can do pulse counting, voltage changing test, voltage signal acquiring and some other observing jobs. This paper is a report of our mechanical operation and calculative work about the DC motor as well. The using DC motor's model number is E-660. Since we cannot find the official data of the DC motor we need, we tried to find some similar motor model to compare. Fortunately, we find some data. Even it is unofficial data from eBay website. However, these data can be seen as reference of our motor. Therefore we can compare the data from the laboratory and the theoretical ones. For the other part of the thesis is about the incremental encoder, the model we used in project is DG 63 KA. We just can find a similar type and it as a reference. The model we find similar to the actual one is DG 60L and through the measurement and comparison, we manage to test the encoder pattern is the same as the reference.     Eventually, we can still do some calculations and analysis with the measured data. El Laboratorio de Imágenes Médicas de la PUCP cuenta con los equipos y herramientas necesarias para la implementación de un sistema de adquisición de datos de transductores ultrasónicos de un solo elemento, como el hardware de un posicionador de tres ejes de alta resolución (402/403XE Series - Parker), un emisor/receptor de ultrasonidos (Panametrics NDT 5800 - Olympus) y una tarjeta de adquisición de datos (UF3-4142 - Strategic Test). En el presente trabajo de tesis se diseñó e implementó un sistema de adquisición de datos ultrasónicos a través de una interfaz gráfica manipulada por el usuario (GUI) el cual opera los equipos mencionados de manera sincronizada. Esta interfaz se implementó con el software LabVIEW, el cual mediante un algoritmo recorre línea por línea toda el área de observación para adquirir datos. El Capítulo 1 se presenta la situación actual de los sistemas de adquisición en nuestro país, la importancia del desarrollo de estos sistemas y los objetivos del presente trabajo de tesis. El Capítulo 2 describe el hardware que compone un sistema de adquisición de datos ultrasónicos como la etapa de posicionamiento, trasmisión y recepción de pulso-eco, digitalización y adquisición de datos. También se describen las características de los equipos a utilizar de cada etapa. En el Capítulo 3 se presentan la descripción del software y el funcionamiento del sistema por etapas. Se muestran los criterios utilizados para desarrollar las etapas de posicionamiento y adquisición de datos. En el Capítulo 4 se presentan los resultados obtenidos de la tarjeta de adquisición, evaluación de la exactitud de desplazamiento del sistema posicionador y formación de imágenes en modo-B a partir de los datos obtenidos.<br>Tesis

International Telemetering Conference Proceedings / October 26-29, 1998 / Town & Country Resort Hotel and Convention Center, San Diego, California<br>A simplex or ‘passive’ continuous wave and monopulse seeker tracks specific attributes of a target’s radio frequency (RF) radar return in some coordinate frame. In particular, a return carries dynamic information in amplitude (ω) and frequency (ω) at some point in azimuth (r,θ) and elevation (r,θ) planes. A passive seeker requires an illuminator beam, I(ω,φ,θ), and may require a frequency modulation on the illuminator. To model a simplex target return, we have based the dynamics on a point source radar cross section (RCS) along a line of sight (LoS) radial. The Az and El angles are equivalent to antenna placement, the attenuation and frequency dynamics are modeled in commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) software.

Розвиток сучасної елементної бази дозволяє використовувати пристрої, які раніше застосовувалися тільки в складних і дорогих професійних комплексах, для створення побутових пристроїв. Будь-які нагріті предмети, включаючи людське тіло, є джерелами інфрачервоного випромінювання. Ця властивість використовується для створення пасивних датчиків руху в системах охорони приміщень. Називаються такі пристрої - "піроелектричні датчики" і складаються з інфрачервоного приймача теплового випромінювання. Інфрачервоний приймач - це спеціальний фотоелемент, який виробляє електричний сигнал пропорційний рівню, котрий потрапляє на нього у вигляді теплового випромінювання. Для зниження рівня перешкод перед фотоприймачем звичайно встановлюється світлофільтр, проникний випромінювання тільки в діапазоні довжин хвиль 5-14 мкм. За допомогою таких приймачів можна отримати «теплове зображення», кожна точка якого має власну температуру.

Abstract:
Near-field acoustical holography is a standard method for sound source visualization and localization. In this thesis, commonly used and newly published near-field acoustic holography methods are introduced and analysed. In addition, regularization methods are presented together with finding options of optimal regularization parameter. Based on theory, a LabVIEW library is built containing four implemented near-field acoustical holography algorithms and two regularization methods. To verify the correctness of implementations, a testing application has been made. This application allows testing of implemented algorithms with simulated or experimentally measured data. The correctness of implementation is verified, and algorithms are compared to each other with respect to accuracy and speed of calculation.
