Hepatitis C (HCV) infection elimination in low- and middle-income countries requires decentralised HCV services to increase testing and linkage to care. The CT2 Study investigated patients’ views of access to and acceptance of two community-based HCV care models in Myanmar using a mixed-methods approach. Point-of-care HCV testing and general practitioner-initiated HCV treatment were provided at two community clinics in Yangon, Myanmar–the Burnet Institute’s (BI) clinic focused on people who inject drugs (PWID), and the Myanmar Liver Foundation’s (MLF) clinic focused on people with liver-relate

Depression is a significant global health issue, and migrants often face barriers to mental health care, resulting in undiagnosed depressive symptoms. Thailand accommodates many cross-border migrants from Cambodia, Lao PDR, and Myanmar (CLM), yet little is known about depressive symptoms in these populations. This study aims to address this gap. A mixed-methods study was therefore conducted to assess the prevalence of depressive symptoms and determine associated factors. Quantitative data were collected via a paper-based questionnaire, including the Patient Health Questionnaire-9 (PHQ-9), and

For most antivenoms there is little information from clinical studies to infer the relationship between dose and efficacy or dose and toxicity. Antivenom dose-finding studies usually recruit too few patients (e.g. fewer than 20) relative to clinically significant event rates (e.g. 5%). Model based adaptive dose-finding studies make efficient use of accrued patient data by using information across dosing levels, and converge rapidly to the contextually defined ‘optimal dose’. Adequate sample sizes for adaptive dose-finding trials can be determined by simulation. We propose a model based, Bayesi
