Abstract:
Business process improvement (BPI) methodologies play an important role in increasing a business’s performance and its competitiveness. Since World War II, a number of these methodologies have been developed. Each of these held to a different philosophy as to what drives process improvement. Therefore, each focused on a seemingly unique aspect or parameter of business processes. These leverage points included, amongst others, process cycle time, quality, process efficiency, on-time delivery and error rates. The methodologies were delineated from one another not only by these focal points but a

Prolonged drug action is very important nowadays because using these drug forms, a drug plasma level is more constant, which is associated with less adverse side-effects, a more constant and prolonged therapeutic effect and a better complia

Abstract:
This study aims at investigating teaching of idioms by means of illustrations and teaching of idioms by means of definitions. The informants of the experiment are learners of English in a Swedish high school. The 58 informants of this experiment were tested on a total of 19 idioms. These idioms were carefully chosen in order to make sure that they would not already be known by the informants. Another key factor while choosing the idioms was the possibility to find appropriate illustrations for these idioms. Selman, Mohammed. "Pharmacological Improvement of Oncolytic Virotherapy." Thesis, Université d'Ottawa / University of Ottawa, 2018. http://hdl.handle.net/10393/37626.

Full text
Abstract:
Oncolytic viruses (OV) are an emerging class of anticancer bio-therapeutics that induce antitumor immunity through selective replication in cancer cells. However, the efficacy of OVs as single agents remains limited. We postulate that resistance to oncolytic virotherapy results in part from the failure of tumor cells to be sufficiently infected. In this study, we provide evidence that in the context of sarcoma, a highly heterogeneous malignancy, the infection of tumors by different oncolytic viruses varies greatly. Similarly, for a given oncolytic virus, productive infection of tumors across
