Abstract:
<p>Under det gångna århundradet ökade den förväntade livslängden avsevärt såväl i Sverige som i övriga världen. 1900-talets förbättrade livslängd drevs inledningsvis av en minskad barnadödlighet medan de senare årtiondena kännetecknades av minskad dödlighet i höga åldrar.</p><p>En åldrande befolkning innebär ökade krav på sjukvård, äldreomsorg och inte minst pensionssystem. Pålitliga prognoser för vår framtida livslängd behövs för att beräkna de resurser som nämnda verksamheter kommer att ta i anspråk och utgör förutsättningen för en rättvis prissättning av försäkringsprodukter med levnadsrisk.</p><p>Lee-Carter-modellen är en av vår tids tongivande modeller för mortalitetsprognostisering. Modellen används här för att göra livslängdsprognoser utifrån svenska mortalitetsdata; prognoserna jämförs sedan med observerade utfall.</p><p>Mot bakgrund av resultatet diskuteras levnadsrisk med fokus på pensioner.</p><p>Inte oväntat presterar prognoserna ingen felfri bild av verkligheten och prognosfelet varierar i storlek mellan skattningarna; att använda dem som underlag för pensionsberäkningar hade i förlängningen varit ohållbart. Exemplet illustrerar på samma gång vår osäkerhet inför framtidens livslängdsutveckling och svårigheten i att prognostisera den.</p><br><p>During the past century, Sweden along with many other countries experienced a sharp decline in mortality rates. The increased life expectancy was initially propelled by mortality reductions among infants and subsequently by a survival improvement in advanced ages.</p><p>An ageing population has large implications for those providing services to the elderly, such as medical care and pensions, whilst also addressing the need for accurate and reliable mortality forecasts and projection methods.</p><p>The Lee-Carter model is the current gold standard for mortality forecasting and has been widely adopted in several studies. Here, the model is applied on Swedish mortality data; the projections are then compared to the observed lifespan development. Against this backdrop, a discussion on longevity risk in pensions schemes follows.</p><p>The forecasts performed in this study do not perfectly reflect the observed mortality change in the examined period; furthermore, the variation of the estimation errors limits the actuarial value of the projections. The findings illuminate the uncertainty that surrounds our future life expectancy as well as the difficulties associated with forecasting it.</p>

Abstract:
<p>The aim of the paper is to explore the dominating perception of the Other after the conflict regarding the Danish Mohammed caricatures. How Swedish newspapers have portrayed Arabs, which role they have been given in society and what problems they are struggling with is going to be the focus of this thesis.</p><p>As methodological approach I chose discourse analysis, since it presents a view where language defines and structures our understanding of reality. Through the study of various Swedish newspaper articles, this essay tries to illustrate the implicit yet existent negative image of the Arabs as a group and potential alternative ways of understanding the Other.</p><p>The perception of Arabs is a product of a necessary imaginary foe, a mirror image of the bad and strange in contrast to the idyllic and safe Swedish nationality. The rhetoric’s of the discourse are therefore constructed between a politics of acknowledgement and a will to culturally dominate the Other. To challenge this view the citizens of a nation must accept it as nothing more than an imaginary design.</p>

Uppsatsen behandlar tre tidiga verk av Sophie Calle; Suite vénitienne, 1980, L'hôtel (Hotellet), 1981 och La Filature (Skuggningen), 1981. Utgångspunkten för uppsatsen är frågan om identitet och Sophie Calles tillvägagångssätt i sina verk. De tre verken beskrivs i sin helhet. Utifrån beskrivningen och litteraturstudier diskuteras olika infallsvinklar på verken. Frågan om identitet prövas med en teoretisk utgångspunkt i psykoanalysen, i huvudsak Jacques Lacans teorier om spegelstadiet. Sophie Calles tillvägagångssätt ses i samband med Roland Barthes teorier om text och läsare. Lek, olika förklädnader och slumpen är viktiga inslag i Calles verk. Slumpen var också viktig för surrealisterna och Calles verk har vissa drag gemensamt med dem. Sophie Calles verk sätts också i samband med konceptkonsten, både vad det gäller utförande, dokumentation av verken och sättet att använda sig av text och fotografi. Calle skiljer sig från konceptkonstnärerna genom att hon är mer personlig och intim i sina verk. Sophie Calles verk är mångfacetterade och kan infogas i flera olika sammanhang.

Abstract:
This thesis investigates artistic post-mortem photography in the context of shifting social relationship with death in the 1980s and 1990s. Analyzing Nan Goldin’s Cookie in Her Casket and Andres Serrano’s The Morgue, I argue that artists engaging in postmortem photography demonstrate care for the deceased. Further, that demonstrable care in photographing the dead responds to a crisis of the late 1980s and early 1990s in America. At the time, death returned to social and political discourse with the visibility of AIDS and cancer and the euthanasia debates, spurring on photographic engagement with the corpse. Nan Goldin’s 1989 post-mortem portrait of her friend, Cookie in Her Casket, was first presented within The Cookie Portfolio. The memorial portfolio traced the friendship between Cookie and Goldin over fourteen years. The work relies on a personal narrative, framing the works within a familial gaze. I argue that Goldin creates the sense of family to encourage empathy in the viewer for Cookie’s loss. Further, Goldin’s generic and beautified post-mortem image of Cookie is a way of offering Cookie respect and dignity in death. Andres Serrano’s 1992 The Morgue is a series of large-scale cropped, and detailed photographs capturing indiscriminate bodies from within an unidentified morgue. I assert that Serrano intentionally presents these corpses as objects, outside of life. His stark lighting, emphasis on texture and the rich colours of Cibachrome print beautify and lavish aesthetic care on the corpse-objects. I propose a reading of The Morgue through Serrano’s deliberate use of beauty to transform the corpses into icons, and read the entire series as a visualisation of the sublime within the abject. Goldin and Serrano have fundamentally different approaches to post-mortem photography. Goldin’s work follows an artistic and historical tradition of memorial portraits taken of the deceased by friends or family; whereas Serrano follows from a forensic framework appropriated by artists who photograph within a morgue. Previous discourse separated memorial and forensic post-mortem photography in order to better appreciate the historical trajectory of each field. In the context of a time where death was moving from near invisibility into the mainstream, comparing Goldin and Serrano offers insight into the changes in America’s visual relationship with death.

Abstract:
This study aims to examine how Rome understood 'the Other' in the context of Roman plundering of sacred sites. It analyses specifically the Temple of Poseidon at Isthmia, and how it was affected by the destruction of Corinth in 146 BCE, and the second Jewish temple at Jerusalem, and how the Romans went about destroying it in 70 CE. This study combines archaeological and written sources with iconography, to get as full an image as possible of Roman pillaging. For Isthmia the sources are mainly archaeological, from the excavations made by the University of Chicago. For Jerusalem the source is the ancient text Bellum Judaicum, by Flavius Josephus. The theory is that of 'the Other', as presented by Erich Gruen in his work Rethinking the other in antiquity, which is applied to the many questions in the discussion. The result of this study shows that Romans frequently sacked sacred sites of other peoples and used the artworks from them to beautify their own cities. They used the history and tradition of the Other for their own gain, to create a certain image of themselves. Further, this study finds that Rom considered itself the main power in the Mediterranean during these periods of antiquity.

Abstract:
Sparande i fonder är något som berör många människor. I Sverige är 99 % av den vuxna befolkningen på något vis exponerad mot fondmarknaden genom privat- eller pensionssparande. Aktiefonder är den vanligaste typen av fonder vilka kan förvaltas på olika sätt. Majoriteten förvaltas aktivt av en grupp människor med mål att överprestera marknadens utveckling, medan det även finns passivt förvaltade fonder som till stor del sköts av datorer och strävar efter att följa marknadsutvecklingen.   En ständigt aktuell diskussion är huruvida de aktivt förvaltade fonderna, som också kostar betydligt mer för fondspararen, är ett bättre alternativ till de billigare passivt förvaltade fonderna. Vår studie tar fasta i den effektiva marknadshypotesen som menar att det inte är möjligt, att med aktiv förvaltning, överträffa marknadsutvecklingen. En hel del forskning har genomförts inom området där konsensus talar för de passivt förvaltade fonderna.   Vi har genomfört studien på ett urval där vi endast inkluderat fonder som tagits fram genom förutsatta kriterier. Kriterierna är utformade för att finna de aktivt förvaltade fonder som vi anser har bäst förutsättningar att överprestera marknadsutvecklingen. Utifrån kriterierna har vårt urval slutligen landat på aktivt förvaltade aktiefonder med minsta möjliga placeringsrestriktioner.   Vi har undersökt fondernas prestationer utifrån två synvinklar; avkastning och riskjusterad avkastning. Den förstnämnda har mätts genom geometrisk avkastning samt teorin B-index. Den sistnämnda har mätts genom de välkända prestationsmåtten Jensens Alfa, Sharpekvot, Treynorkvot samt Informatiosnkvot.   Vi har utgått från den svenska fondspararens perspektiv för att ge vägledning huruvida denne bör välja aktivt eller passivt förvaltade fonder. Urvalet innehåller fonder baserade i Sverige, Norge och Luxemburg, alla tillgängliga för den svenska placeraren.   Studiens resultat visar tydligt att de aktivt förvaltade fonderna generellt inte överpresterar marknadsutvecklingen, trots de relativt goda förutsättningar vi anser våra urvalsfonder har. Endast en av femton fonder har lyckats överprestera marknadsutvecklingen gällande både avkastning och riskjusterad avkastning. Den effektiva marknadshypotesen har därmed visat sig gällande i vår undersökning.   Genom resultatet kan vi fastslå att de klart högre avgifterna som fondbolagen tar ut för aktiv förvaltning generellt inte skapar något värde för fondspararen. Trots vår slutsats är endast 5 % av den svenska fondförmögenheten placerad i passivt förvaltade fonder. Okunskapen bland fondspararna i kombination med fondbolagens girighet är troligtvis de främsta anledningarna till att aktivt förvaltade fonder fortfarande utgör majoriteten av fondförmögenheten i Sverige.   Den enes dumhet, den andres rikedom

Abstract:
Denna studie undersöker hur begravningsbyrån Fonus valde att bemöta en kritisk artikel, publicerad i Aftonbladet, med ett pressmeddelande som lades upp på den egna hemsidan. Uppsatsen undersöker först vilka retoriska verktyg som har använts i skapandet av detta meddelande, och sett från Benoits teori om Image Repair, vilka strategier som använts och hur användningen av dessa har sett ut. Därefter söker studien att praktiskt undersöka detta budskap genom att låta en utvald grupp respondenter ta del av materialet samtidigt som de i personliga intervjuer får svara på frågor om det de läst. Här utsätts respondenterna först för negativa påståenden riktade mot Fonus för att färga deras åsikt om företaget innan de får ta del av pressmeddelandet. Syftet är att undersöka om Fonus textbaserade kriskommunikation kan påverka respondenterna och deras attityd mot företaget i en positiv riktning. Undersökningens slutsats är att ett budskap som utformats med en väl balanserad retorik och ett väl avvägt bruk av Benoits strategier, utgör ett fruktbart sätt att påverka mottagaren i den önskade riktningen.<br>This paper examines how the Swedish funeral agency Fonus chose to respond to a critical article published in Aftonbladet, with a press release posted on their website. The paper first examines the rhetorical tools used in the creation of this message, and in relation to Benoit's Theory of Image Repair, which strategies that were used and how they were used. Thereafter the paper examines the effectiveness of these messages by exposing a selected group of respondents to the material whilst having them answering questions performed in an interview about what they are reading. Firstly the respondents are exposed to negative statements directed against Fonus in an attempt to tarnish their opinion of the company before they are allowed to read Fonus  press release. The aim is to investigate whether this text-based crisis communication can influence the respondents and their attitude towards the company in a positive direction. The essay concludes that a message designed with varied rhetorical tools and a balanced use of Benoit's strategies is a fruitful way to influence the recipient in the desired direction.

Abstract:
This project aimed to establish a way to modulate the supramolecular chemistry and spin crossover properties of metal complexes through the use of anionic supramolecular networks. This research employed crystal engineering to effectively combine several molecular building blocks within the same crystalline material. The arrangement of these components within these crystalline materials and their associated magnetic properties were regulated through the use of a variety of different molecular components, resulting in the development of a variety of novel co-crystals, with potential applications as molecular sensors, switches and data storage or memory devices.

<p>The purpose with our essay was:</p><p>-          To study how personal assistants understand their occupation role.</p><p>-          To describe the attitude of personal assistants to the right of self-determination of their care receivers.</p><p> </p><p>We have used a qualitative research method called phenomenografic.</p><p> </p><p>The empirical material was based on four interviews that served as the data collection methods. The interviewees were four women from two different municipalities of Middle Sweden. The interviewed personal assistants work with adult people who have mental disabilities.</p><p> </p><p>As a result we came up with eight categories which showed that personal assistants, despite some difficulties, perceive their careers as crucial for society’s well being. The phenomenon of self-determination was much easier to describe than to put to practice. The reason for personal assistants withholding the other persons’ right to self-determination was that they were facing ethical dilemmas.</p><p> </p><br><p>Syften med vår uppsats har varit</p><p>-          Att undersöka hur personliga assistenter uppfattar sin yrkesroll.</p><p>-          Att beskriva hur personliga assistenter förhåller sig till omsorgstagares rätt till självbestämmande.</p><p> </p><p>Metoden vi har använt är fenomenografi som är en kvalitativ forskningsmetod.</p><p> </p><p>Det empiriska materialet är baserat på fyra intervjuer som var datainsamlingsmetod. Intervjupersonerna bestod av fyra kvinnor från två olika kommuner i Mellansverige.</p><p> </p><p>Intervjuade personliga assistenter arbetar med vuxna människor som har funktionsnedsättning i form av utvecklingsstörning.</p><p> </p><p>Resultatet blev åtta olika kategorier som visade att personliga assistenter trots vissa svårigheter uppfattar sitt yrke som ett betydelsefullt arbete. Det var lätt för dem att beskriva vad fenomenet självbestämmande betyder men ibland lite svårare att genomföra i praktiskt arbete. Anledningen till assistenterna inte alltid följde omsorgstagares självbestämmanderätt var att de ställdes inför vissa etiska dilemman.</p>

Throughout its range of South and Central America, visceral leishmaniasis due to Leishmania chagasi is transmitted by Lutzomyia longipalpis. Recently, a new vector, Lutzomyia evansi, has been discovered transmitting the parasite in the Caribbean Coast of Colombia. Field studies, using both experimental and observational methodologies were employed to elucidate the main ecological and behavioural factors affecting disease transmission in the focus of San Andres de Sotavento, northern Colombia. Nine species of Lutzomyia were present and Lu. evansi constituted 90% of all sandflies caught. Flies were most abundant in April, May June and September. Trapping in and around houses showed Lu. evansi to be endophilic but with exophagic behaviour, preferring houses near to forest edge as resting places. Host preference, measured using a newly designed trap in a rotational experimental design, showed that humans were preferred over dogs or opossums (reservoirs) during the peak abundance of Lu. evansi. This was supported by catches on tethered hosts and bloodmeal analysis although location of capture of resting flies was also a significant factor. Mark-release-recapture studies showed that Lu. evansi can move up to 800m after 5 days and that freshly fed flies move a few hundred metres to resting sites. Basic life history data on Lu. evansi was obtained from laboratory rearing. This species was bred under laboratory conditions though high mortalities were seen in first instars. In adults survival was associated with different types of sugar. Flagellate parasites resembling L. chagasi were found in 3 of 5326 wild caught Lu. evansi (0.05%) however, culturing and subsequent characterization of these isolates failed. Experimental infections with L. chagasi showed that at least one strain of the parasite grew more prolifically in Lu. longipalpis than in Lu. evansi. This, together with a limited vector range compared to the Old World L. infantum is suggested to be the result of a recent parasite-vector association. Morphologically no differences were seen between Colombian, Venezuelan and Costa Rican Lu. evansi populations. Some variation was seen however in one enzyme (6GPDH) of 18 isozymes tested. Mitochondrial DNA variation was seen between Central and South American populations.

Significant discrepancies exist in global estimates of the atmospheric methane (CH4) budget. This is particularly true for tropical South America where bottom-up approaches, rooted in field observation, tend to under estimate atmospheric observations. As such, a better understanding of soil environments, which are capable of acting as both source and sink for atmospheric CH4, is required. Soil-atmosphere CH4 exchange is fundamentally determined by the balance between strictly anaerobic methanogenic and aerobic methanotrophic microbial processes. For this reason, CH4 emissions are typically associated with anoxic wetland soils, whilst, oxic upland soils are thought to uptake CH4 from the atmosphere. However, there is increasing evidence that upland soils may act as sources of CH4 through methanogenic activity within cryptic wetlands or anoxic microsites. This thesis aims to: document soil-atmosphere CH4 fluxes in poorly represented tropical upland and montane ecosystems, investigate controls on CH4 flux with a focus on soil oxygen (O2) concentration and investigate relationships between methanogenic and methanotrophic processes under oxic conditions. These aims are addressed in three chapters focusing on lowland terra firme, premontane and montane forests and montane humid puna grasslands and wetlands along an Amazonian to Andean transect spanning ~ 3300 m of elevation in southeastern Peru. In the lowland rainforest intensive seasonal field campaigns and laboratory incubations were conducted on higher porosity ultisol and lower porosity inceptisol soils. Mean (s.e.) net CH4 fluxes for dry and wet seasons were, respectively, -1.59 (0.06) and - 1.39 (0.07) mg CH4-C m−2 d−1 for the ultisol and -0.95 (0.06) and -0.41 (0.10) mg CH4-C m−2 d−1 for the inceptisol. Greater uptake rates in the ultisol than the inceptisol were best explained by lower water-filled pore space (WFPS). Similarly, WFPS best explained between season variation in net CH4 flux from the inceptisol, whilst, we were unable to explain the smaller variations observed for the ultisol. Methanogenic processes were active in both the ultisol and inceptisol soils despite oxic conditions. In the premontane and montane forests, long-term monthly field measurements were conducted over two and a half years in premontane, lower montane and upper montane settings. Mean (s.e.) net CH4 fluxes for aggregated dry and wet season months were, respectively, -0.20 (0.15) and -0.08 (0.13) mg CH4-C m−2 d−1 for the premontane forest, -1.12 (0.13) and -0.97 (0.11) mg CH4-C m−2 d−1 for the lower montane forest and -1.55 (0.13) and -1.04 (0.11) mg CH4-C m−2 d−1 for the upper montane forest. Increased uptake with elevation was best explained by decreases in WFPS. Significant variation in net CH4 flux between seasons, driven by variation in WFPS, was only identified for the upper montane forest.

This is a study of the preconditions for turning the slag produced at Outokumpu Steel in Avesta into by-products. Specifically in which way the continued work should be organized in order to create the best opportunity to reach the goals of lowering the cost for landfill disposal, increasing the level of re-usage in the company and society as well as reducing the usage of virgin materials. The study accounts for the technological conditions and challenges at hand. The biggest remaining challenge will be to find a suitable method for separating metal remaining’s from the slag. All previously identified application areas have been analysed. Slag asphalt and water cleaning are two areas which has been examined in greater detail, while the remaining only been studied briefly. An external analysis has been conducted, where the competing steel manufacturers in Sweden as well as external forces and risks within society have been studied. To analyse the different routes that Outokumpu could choose for the future, an economical analysis of different scenarios and their potential cash flows has been done. Relevant literature concerning organization of innovative businesses is then discussed with relation to the current situation. This leads up to the conclusion that Outokumpu should either negotiate with an external part interested in taking over the commercial part of slag operations and sell them all slag from the Avesta site. Otherwise they should start up their own separate company to handle all the commercialization of all slag, preferably for the entire corporate group.<br>Studien undersöker vilka förutsättningar som finns vid Outokumpu Steel i Avesta, för att kunna sälja den biprodukt som slaggen från ståltillverkningen utgör. Specifikt har det undersökts på vilket sätt det fortsatta arbetet bör organiseras för att ge bäst förutsättningar för att uppfylla målsättningarna med en kommersialisering. Dessa är att sänka kostnaden för hantering av restprodukter, förbättra både företagets och samhällets hushållande av resurer samt möjliggöra för samhället att minska uttaget av jungfruliga material. Här redovisas de tekniska förutsättningarna och utmaningarna, vilka inte är obetydliga men definitivt möjliga att hantera. Framförallt är det av stor vikt att hitta en bra metod för att separera metallrester från slaggen. Under arbetets gång har samtliga av företagets sedan tidigare identifierade tänkbara användningsområden analyserats. Två av dessa, slaggasfalt och vattenrening, har analyserats omfattande medan övriga områden endast berörts översiktligt. En omvärldsanalys har genomförts och presenteras i rapporten dels i form av en genomgång hur övriga stålproducenter hanterar samma fråga och dels en beskrivning av utmaningar och risker från det omgivande samhället. En ekonomisk analys av olika scenarier och kassaflöden har genomförts för att visa hur olika vägval och parametrar påverkar utfallet från verksamheten. Med den förståelse för verksamheten och nuläget som ovanstående arbete gett har aktuell litteratur rörande organisation av innovativa affärsverksamheter studerats. Tillämplig kunskap från litteraturen har applicerats på det aktuella läget och i rapportens diskussionskapitel vägs denna information samman. Detta ger underlag till arbetets slutsats att Outokumpu i Avesta i första hand bör förhandla med en extern part som är villig att sköta den kommersiella delen och köpa all aktuell slagg som produceras vid anläggningen i Avesta. Alternativt bör Outokumpu starta upp ett företag med uppdrag att hantera all kommersiell hantering av slagg från förslagsvis hela koncernen.

Corporate acquisitions have long been seen as contributing to financial success. Other motives for acquisitions are the longing for power, more competitive advantages and growth. However, the majority of business acquisitions fail in practice, and many argue that the most difficult process in an acquisition is the integration process. A company that has recently been acquired is a Swedish manufacturing company, which has just been acquired by its American competitor. They are in the midst of integration where problems often arise. Integration occurs on an operational and a cultural front, which can be problematic. It is therefore interesting to study how the management control and organizational culture are affected in the acquired company, and whether this supports or prevents the integration process and thus affects the success of the acquisition. The purpose of the study is to describe and explain how the acquired company's management control and culture are affected by acquisitions. The study further intends to explain whether the changes support or hinder the integration process. The study will contribute to an increased understanding of how management control and culture can be managed in order for a business acquisition to be successful. To fulfill the purpose, a qualitative research method was used and an explanatory case study was applied. Theory was collected from books, scientific articles, newspaper articles and internal material. Empiri was collected through semi-structured interviews, which were then transcribed, which were sent to respondents for review. The material was then analyzed by a thematic analysis. In order to ensure that the study was of good quality, various quality criterias and ethical considerations were also taken into account. The acquisition of the company has been shown to influence both the management control and the culture of the acquired company. Management control is affected by the acquired company becoming more centralized, detail-controlled, a changed focus in strategies, tougher rules and increased communication and performance measurement, which are factors that hinder and/or support integration. The culture of the acquired company is influenced by elements of the national culture that the buyer has, such as a changed way of working, cooperation spirit and developed into a more international company, which supports and/or hinders integration. Improvement suggestions on how manangement control and culture could be managed to promote integration are through; focus more on human aspects, leadership, introduce reward systems, gather information on both company cultures, pay attention to employees' emotions and that the changes introduced are similar to the original culture of the acquired company.

<p>The aim of this essay is to analyse young peoples view and thoughts about women. I have studied how young people “create women” in an opinion poll about love relations and relationships.</p><p>The survey has been answered by high school student in a suburb in Stockholm. My main question is: What conceptions of the women are presented in love relationships and relationships in general?</p><p>To analyse the data, I have used a qualitative method which means that I have tried to understand and interpret their answers. The study consists of two surveys, one about love relationships and the other about empathy. The outcome of the study is presented as different women characters such as the shy women, the affectionate and the rescuing women, the bimbo and the object. The study shows that women and men are indeed a part of the construction of women.</p><p>The study shows a pattern of words and actions that the young people connect to the female. It also shows that it is more accepted and expected for girls to write about feelings and pain. Young people seem to define themselves in a connection to the opposite by comparing</p><p>themselves to the opposite sex. For example a woman who shows her feelings serves a purpose, the action is done in a way to be confirmed of the people around her, that she is a woman. Both boys and girls are a part of constructing women. They perform a pattern of</p><p>actions that clearly shows the existents of norms; the effect of repeated actions is gender. It means that young people ‘look for’ actions that confirms there gender.</p><p>The keywords in this study are young people, women, gender, love relationships/relationships.</p><p>Finally I would like to thank my tutor Ana Graviz and the research group who has given support and help during the study and at the time of writing. Ao longo da vida, diferentes culturas, povos, línguas e nações sempre acharam a imagem de Deus como seus costumes e experiências. De modo particular, as nossas Igrejas tenham comunicado a mensagem do Evangelho que recebeu através da Sagrada Escritura e transmitidos pela tradição ao longo dos séculos. Quando o verdadeiro espírito da lei é perdida, a conclusão é que a letra mata. Isso é o que aconteceu com o conceito de Deus quando se tornou um motivo de perseguição, exclusão e medo. O teólogo espanhol Andrés Torres Queiruga pesquisa através da reflexão sobre este assunto, envolvendo um repensar da teologia hoje, porque com o advento da modernidade o paradigma de pensamento humano mudou por conta da revolução cultural. A perspectiva de um mundo onde os eventos naturais foram atribuídos a Deus ou ao diabo, de acordo com o que era bom ou ruim, não cabe mais hoje, como a ciência considera o mundo regido por leis naturais autônomas. Nesse caso, esta visão mítica de Deus se torna para a modernidade, supérflua, como a sua explicação causal antiga, trouxe um grande dano para a fé. Queiruga procura em Jesus de Nazaré vida, o núcleo da experiência do Abba. A verdadeira resposta cristã a essa situação, apresenta o rosto terno de Deus revelada pelo Messias. Esta experiência paterna de Deus traz alegria e dá consciência de realização existencial plena para quem encontrar o prazer em sentir a filiação divina.<br>The concept of God is something that forms in the human mind. Along life, different cultures, peoples, languages and nations have always found the image of God as their customs and experiences. In a particular way, our Churches have communicated the Gospel message they received through the Holy Scripture and handed down by tradition along the centuries. When the real spirit of the law is lost, the conclusion is that letter kills. That s what happened to the concept of God when it became a reason for exclusion, persecution and fear. The Spanish theologian Andres Torres Queiruga searches through reflection on this subject, an involving rethink of theology today, because with the advent of modernity, the human thinking paradigm has changed on account of the cultural revolution. The perspective of a world where natural events were attributed to God or the devil, according to what was good or bad, no longer fits today, as science considers the world governed by autonomous natural laws. In such case, this mythic vision of God becomes for modernity, superfluous, as their former causal explanation, has brought great harm to faith. Queiruga searches in Jesus of Nazareth’s life, the core of Abba’s experience. The truly Christian response to this situation, presents the tender face of God revealed by the Messiah. This God s paternal experience brings joy and the conscience of full existential realization for the one who find pleasure in feeling divine filiation.
