Abstract:
The widespread application of mobile crowdsourcing modes provides new ideas for generating indoor maps. By collecting and analyzing the trajectory datas of users properly, we can obtain the location information of indoor paths. Unfortunately, currently studies usually rely heavily on a satellite location, which restricts their indoor application. In this paper, a simple and practical method of generating indoor maps on Andriod platform is presented, and this method is able to correct deviation duly. User's datas collected by several bulit-in sensors are preprocessed utilizing Gaussian filter, after which we adopt feature recognition to confirming one's walking track based on multiple experiment datas. In order to integrate tracks generated by different persons, we then propose a new data structure based on a transition probability that can be updated online to store track information. In addition, we minimize possible deviations by testing the signal power launched by four Bluetooth base stations. Discrete tracks are finally integrated into a complete indoor map using a graph_based model. We then propose a novel encryption scheme exploiting chaos in a nonlinear digital filter, where secure key generation methods are discussed in detail. The secure key scheme includes: 1)channel measurement 2)a decorrelation transform 3)multibit adaptive quantization and encoding. Experiments are conducted in rectangle fields of 8m*8m, 44m*44m, respectively, and the results show our method can attain a maximum error of 5.94%.

The performance of android-based mobile applications is very important to pay attention to because performance will be related to how users will feel the experience of the application. This relates to memory usage and CPU usage on android devices when using applications. There are several ways used to improve the performance of android-based mobile applications, one of which is by applying an architecture pattern. The use of the right architecture is expected to produce good performance for android devices when running an application. Therefore, the author conducted a study on whether the application of the MVVM architecture pattern by changing the program code with the refactoring method will affect memory usage, CPU, and code execution time in Android-based applications. This is implemented using the Android Studio application and using android profiler tools to measure the performance of the application.

Android is one of the largest mobile operating system platforms today. In the midst of the rapid development of android application technology, many programmers have not learned how to make android applications, evidenced by the number of websites that have adapted to the android application screen but do not yet have android applications. In android application development technology there is a feature called WebView that allows application developers to be able to display content from web pages directly within the application. To make it easier to create applications, the author creates templates by: prototyping WebView, formulating problems, studying supporting theories, creating templates, template implementation, as well as documentation of template implementation. In Android Studio Arctic Fox, the application of templates is done with three steps: changing the project name, changing the contents of variables according to the parameters of the relevant website data, and changing the logo. By using WebView templates, the process of creating applications from a website becomes very easy.

Abstract:
Android is an extensively used mobile platform and with evolution it has also witnessed an increased influx of malicious applications in its market place. The availability of multiple sources for downloading applications has also contributed to users falling prey to malicious applications. A major hindrance in blocking the entry of malicious applications into the Android market place is scarcity of effective mechanisms to identify malicious applications. This paper presents AndroInspector, a system for comprehensive analysis of an Android application using both static and dynamic analysis techniques. AndroInspector derives, extracts and analyses crucial features of Android applications using static analysis and subsequently classifies the application using machine learning techniques. Dynamic analysis includes automated execution of Android application to identify a set of pre-defined malicious actions performed by application at run-time.

Abstract:
This paper analyzes Russian-language Android applications for psychological help, defines requirements and recommendations for the development of such apps. Psychological applications have been selected from the Google Play Market according to certain criteria. Therapeutic and engagement functions, goals, tags, number of downloads, and average score of each application have been recorded for the analysis. The aesthetics and usability of each application have also been evaluated on a five-point scale by 7 user-respondents. We found a variety of functional content in the applications. According to the respondents, most of the applications had an attractive and user-friendly design. However, only one study examined the experience of using one of these applications that indicates the topic is insufficiently studied in Russia. It is also emphasized that the adaptation of questionnaire using the MARS method can help evaluating the effectiveness of an application at the development stage. Research and analysis of mobile applications for psychological well-being can be useful for developers and specialists in the psychology to build more effective and user-friendly applications.

Abstract:
Being one of the major operating system in smartphone industry, security in Android is paramount importance to end users. Android applications are published through Google Play Store which is an official marketplace for Android. If we have to define the current security policy implemented by Google Play Store for publishing Android applications in one sentence then we can write it as "all are suspect but innocent until proven guilty". It means an application does not have to go through rigorous security review to be accepted for publication. It is assumed that all the applications are benign which does not mean it will remain so in future. If any application is found doing suspicious activities then the application will be categorized as malicious and it will be removed from the Play Store. Though filtering of malicious applications is performed at Play Store, some malicious applications escape the filtering process. Thus, it becomes necessary to take strong security measures at other levels. Security in Android can be enforced at system and application levels. At system level Android uses sandboxing technique while at application level it uses permission. In this paper, we analyze the permission-based security implemented in Android through three different perspectives - policy expert, developer, and end user.

Abstract:
Android uses permissions for application security management. Android also allows inter-application communication (IAC), which enables cooperation between different applications to perform complex tasks by using some components and Intents. In other words, Android provides more flexibility and places less restriction on application development. This is a major feature that differentiates Android from its competitors. However, IAC also facilitates malicious applications that can collude in attacks of privilege escalation. In this paper, the authors demonstrate with case studies that all IAC channels can potentially be utilized for privilege escalation attacks, and the authors propose a refinement to solve this problem by enforcing IAC permissions and exposing IAC to users.

Abstract:
Android is a Linux based operating system used for smart phone devices. Since 2008, Android devices gained huge market share due to its open architecture and popularity. Increased popularity of the Android devices and associated primary benefits attracted the malware developers. Rate of Android malware applications increased between 2008 and 2016. In this paper, we proposed dynamic malware detection approach for Android applications. In dynamic analysis, system calls are recorded to calculate the density of the system calls. For density calculation, we used two different lengths of system calls that are 3 gram and 5 gram. Furthermore, Naive Bayes algorithm is applied to classify applications as benign or malicious. The proposed algorithm detects malware using 100 real world samples of benign and malware applications. We observe that proposed method gives effective and accurate results. The 3 gram Naive Bayes algorithm detects 84 malware application correctly and 14 benign application incorrectly. The 5 gram Naive Bayes algorithm detects 88 malware application correctly and 10 benign application incorrectly.
