Technology is being used and improved by human beings over a long period of time now and Smartphones is one of them. Smart Phones contain touch screen, built in keyboard, high resolution camera, front side camera for video conferencing, etc. They are used for making and receiving calls, sending and receiving messages, accessing the Internet, digital media, incorporating audio/video recording etc. Different smart phones have different operating systems and mobile applications are developed for each operating system in smart phones, tablet or mobile phones, in order to serve the needs of the user. These apps are either preinstalled or downloadable from online app market that can do almost everything. Apps make a mobile be like a portable computer having multi core processors, gigabytes of memory and a real operating system. Originally mobile apps were made available for only calling, messaging and informational purposes like calendar, weather forecast, e- mail, etc. With improvement in technology and increase in user demands, developers started making apps for other purposes like games, banking, video chats etc. Some apps are also used to present data in the same format as on a computer website and also allow you to download content that you can use when there is no Internet. There are many apps available in market today for different Operating Systems in which Android is having the maximum market share these days.

Abstract:
Android uses permissions for application security management. Android also allows inter-application communication (IAC), which enables cooperation between different applications to perform complex tasks by using some components and Intents. In other words, Android provides more flexibility and places less restriction on application development. This is a major feature that differentiates Android from its competitors. However, IAC also facilitates malicious applications that can collude in attacks of privilege escalation. In this paper, the authors demonstrate with case studies that all IAC channels can potentially be utilized for privilege escalation attacks, and the authors propose a refinement to solve this problem by enforcing IAC permissions and exposing IAC to users.

Purpose The purpose of this study is to build the Android-based applications for parent to supervise, control and restrict the children’s usage of the smartphone and tablet. Design/methodology/approach The method used is the method of analysis, i.e. collection of necessary data. The data are collected from journals, articles, books, questionnaires and the similar application analysis. Findings The GPS tracking feature of the parental control application facilitates searching the children’s location by indicating the location where they used their Android device. The history feature of the parental control facilitates finding out what application was accessed by their children through their Android-based application, and the time limit feature of the parental control application facilitates restriction on time that the children spend on their Android-based gadgets, so that they will not be addicted to the gadget. Originality/value The parental control application for the Android platform provides users or parents a means for managing the young generation’s usage of an Android-based mobile device.

The Android Mobiles constitute a large portion of mobile market which also attracts the malware developer for malicious gains. Every year hundreds of malwares are detected in the Android market. Unofficial and Official Android market such as Google Play Store are infested with fake and malicious apps which is a warning alarm for naive user. Guided by this insight, this paper presents the malicious application detection and classification system using machine learning techniques by extracting and analyzing the Android Permission Feature of the Android applications. For the feature extraction, the authors of this work have developed the AndroData tool written in shell script and analyzed the extracted features of 1060 Android applications with machine learning algorithms. They have achieved the malicious application detection and classification accuracy of 98.2% and 87.3%, respectively with machine learning techniques.

Abstract:
The study highlights the development of poetry learning instrument using Smart Application Creator (SAC) 2.0 program for Android. The study belongs to a Research and Development (RnD). The initial exploration included the observation of the Indonesian Language learning instrument utilized by a number of secondary schools which are the former education institutions of the students of Indonesian Language and Literature Department (PBSI) of University of Veteran Bangun Nusantara Sukoharjo. The result of observation became the underlying framework for the development of poetry learning instrument through the SAC 2.0 program for Android. The design of the learning instrument development refered to the four-D model development that consists of four stages, including define, design, develop, and disseminate. The development model was firstly developed by Thiagarajan, dkk. The findings revealed that Android-based learning instrument had yet been massively utilized for secondary schools. Most of the teachers still rely on the PowerPoint presentation which is displayed through the projector. The development of the learning instrument that refers to the 4D stages has successfully provided an innovative Android-based poetry learning instrument. The instrument has also been disseminated publicly. The new learning instrument is easy in its installation and application through Android devices. Abstrak Penelitian ini mengangkat pengembangan media pembelajaran puisi dengan menggunakan program Smart Aplication Creator 2.0 berbasis andoid. Hasil pengamatan dipakai sebagai dasar pengembangan media pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia khususnya puisi dengan aplikasi SAC 2.0 di android. Model pengembangan dalam merancang dan membuat media pembelajaran puisi berbasis android ini menggunakan model pengembangan four-D models yang terdiri dari 4 tahap yaitu Define (pendefinisian), Design (perancangan), Develop (pengembangan) dan Dessiminate (penyebaran). Model pengembangan ini dikembangkan oleh Thiagarajan, dkk. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran berbasis andriod di SMA belum digunakan. Guru masih menggunakan media pembelajaran power point serta proyektor saja. Proses pengembangan model media pembelajaran dilakukan sesuai 4 langkah D berhasil membuat inovasi media pembelajaran puisi berbasis adroid yang sudah diseminasikan pada publik. Abstract:
In this study, a mobile application was developed for courses at undergraduate level. The application has not only been developed and used, but has also been used practically for 8 weeks. In other words, the findings are based on a practical experience rather than a theoretical basis. This study aimed to determine the opinions of students who participated in the development and application process of an Android application named NEU-CEIT about the mobile learning environment, educational and sharing structure of the developed application. A total of 27 students participated and students were asked to upload the developed application and examine the content. Following the application, students were administered an environment evaluation questionnaire. Data of the research were collected with survey method. Data obtained in the research were analyzed through the views of experts. According to the results, it was revealed that outcomes related with the usage structure of the developed application were positive, educational structure of the application is appropriate to follow the curriculum, it is rich in terms of materials and it might be one of the applications that students can use for communication. The results also showed that mobile applications will support education and increase motivation. This study supports that mobile applications improve academic achievement. Almost every Android user application has some kind of user interface. Android programmers who create Xamarin.Forms applications and who uses the Microsoft Visual Studio development environment to do so can create user interfaces in the XAML (the Extensible Application Markup Language) or in the C# programming language. This paper deals with a comparison of creating this user interface by the first and the second way. We demonstrate the differences in the creation of Android application user interfaces in XAML and in C# by way of using two of our Android applications which were created by the Microsoft Visual Studio 2019 Enterprise, which work as text editors with the ability to store text to disc, and have user interfaces that are visually identical. However, the user interface of the first Android application was created in XAML with a C# support code, whereas the user interface of the second Android application was created entirely in C#. While comparing the source codes of the user interfaces of both these Android applications, we identify the advantages and disadvantages of both approaches to creating a user interface and we try to find out which of these approaches is better for maintaining and modifying user interfaces. In this study, we also contrast the processes of handling events of controls of a user interface created in the XAML code for the first Android application as well as that of the same user interface created in the C# code for the second Android application. Furthermore, we were interested in determining whether the different ways of creating user interfaces affected the execution time of basic operations that included disc files that were performed on the same data by both the applications. We assume that it does not fundamentally affect the execution time, and so, we performed an experiment to confirm or refute our assumption.

Abstract:
This study aims to determine students 'and teachers' perceptions of the results of developing android-based multimedia applications on poetry material for high school students in class X. This study uses descriptive qualitative methods. The results of this study indicate that students' perceptions of the development of application-based learning multimedia on poetry material obtained an average score of 3.82 with a decent category. The results of the assessment of Indonesian language teacher scores 4.23 in the very feasible category. Rapid technological advances have turned mobile mobile devices into smartphones that have various applications in them. So that the smartphone device becomes the main need for its users. Several new breakthroughs can be present on smartphones such as applications around health. Where accidents can happen to anyone, anywhere and anytime. First aid measures are very important to do to reduce the impact of accidents. So the researchers developed an Accident First Aid (P3K) application on the Android platform with version 2.2 Froyo. The first aid application has a main feature that contains tutorials on first aid measures in an accident, as well as several additional features in the form of drug information, information on the location of the nearest hospital and pharmacy, types of rescue techniques, and emergency number calls. By using the Rapid Application Development system development methodology which consists of three phases, namely planning, design and implementation of the workshop, this application is made using the Android SDK Framework, Java Programming Language, googlemaps as a spatial data service and system testing has been carried out using the Black Box testing method. . Security applications consist of several types of applications such as Antivirus, SIM Card Change Alarm, and Applocker. SIM Card Changed Alarm is a security application that has capability to monitor SIM Card change in Android smartphones. Although there are many SIM Card Change Alarm applications which are available in Google Playstore, there are many people who are not satisfied with this applications. It happens due to them only sends the SMS alert to the owner without locking the phone to prevent other people using it. The outcome of this research will have the same feature as SIM Card Change Alarm but with additional features such as locking the smartphone if the SIM Card has been changed, locking and unlocking remotely using SMS, triggering loud alarm, and calling-back to owner when the smartphone has been lost or stolen. The outcome expected for the Prifone Application is a userfriendly application which could be used by many people around the world and also is able to secure Android smartphones. It is necessary as a first step to have a solid understanding of malwares’ characteristics to help preventing potential harmful consequences. Whithin this paper, we initially present the general overview for Android OS architecture with application structure, then we highlight the popular Android security issues and focus on the existing solutions to detect and prevent Android malwares, finally, we present our point of view and suggestion for future works on the best solution to overcome the Android malwares.

In recent years, Android becomes the first target for hackers and malware developers, due to his inefficient permission model. In this article, we introduce our tool called PerUpSecure to manage permissions requested by Android applications, calculate the risk rates and display the results to the user, in order to help him to make a better decision. Thanks to our PerUpSecure, user will be able to install only the trusted application. As far as we know, the other existing tools focus only on measuring app risk after being installed, and not before as our tool does. Therefore, to evaluate our tool, we selected two different applications sets. The results show that our tool can produce the most trustworthy risk rate to prevent and detect potential malicious activities performed by malware.

While the results of the compatibility test show the application can run on various android systems (at least Android 4.2).

Apalagi dengan meledaknya OS android yang bersifat terbuka, sehingga membuat penetrasi perangkat mobile seperti smartphone dan tablet pc menjadi semakin gencar. Bahkan karena hal tersebut dalam dunia mobile telah menciptakan suatu istilah perangkat mobile baru yaitu phablet (phone tablet). Dengan kondisi ini maka sangat memungkinkan untuk menggunakan alat-alat tersebut pada proses belajarmengajar serta dengan bersifat terbukanya os android sehingga mempermudah untuk pengembangan aplikasi, khususnya aplikasi untuk pendidikan.Penelitian ini bertujuan (1) merancang aplikasi SharingScreenCapture; (2) mengimplementasikan rancangan aplikasi SharingScreenCapture. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian dan pengembangan, mengembangkan aplikasi Sharing Screen Capture, dengan menggunakan model waterfall sampai pada tahap pengujian sistem. SharingScreenCapturemerupakan aplikasi yang akan dikembangkan oleh peneliti menggunakan android os, dengan tujuan untuk mempermudah proses presentasi. Dengan aplikasi ini diharapkan dapat menjadi alternatif pengganti proyektor dengan perangkat mobile, sehingga lebih mempermudah proses belajar-mengajar karena menggunakan alat-alat mobile yang dimiliki peserta didik dalam menampilkan presentasi dari perangkat android pendidik yang terkoneksi pada jaringan wireless yang sama.
