Hence, it highlights how the mother figures are depicted as traditional, “natural” mothers who are caring and overprotective but simultaneously contradict the traditional mother archetype, rendering themselves “bad mothers.” It shows that the mothers sacrifice their motherhood

Abstract:
This study examined the nutritional value of Mulberry leaf meal (MLM) as substitute for soybean meal (SBM) at graded levels. Forty cross-bred young rabbits of mixed sexes used for the study were purchased from a reputable farm in Osogbo, Osun State, Nigeria. The animals were balanced for the initial weight and randomly allocated to five experimental dietary treatments of 8 rabbits per treatment. There were 4 replicates of 2 rabbits per replicate. The rabbits were provided with pelletized experimental diets and clean water ad libitum for 2 weeks pre-experimental period and thereafter for 8 week

Competition exists between man and his livestock for conventional feed ingredients like maize. This has necessitated the search for alternative ingredients. Large quantities of cocoa bean shell are produced and wasted annually by farmers and associated processing industries in Nigeria. A total of one hundred and fifty day-old Anak broiler chicks were randomly allotted to five dietary treatments with 30 birds per treatment, replicated thrice, in a completely randomised design. The treatments were: A (0% CBS-control diet); B (5% RCBS); C (10% RCBS); D (15% RCBS) and E (20% RCBS). Birds were fed

Abstract Studies in cattle fed OmniGen-AF (OG, Phibro Animal Health, Teaneck, NJ) show OG modulates innate immunity and blood metabolites after 45 to 60 d of feeding. Recently, a shorter interval between measured changes in immune signaling following the onset of OG feeding have been measured. However, this work has been limited to cellular signals in healthy, unchallenged beef heifers. This study aimed to investigate immune and metabolic responses in beef heifers challenged with LPS after 28 and 56 d of feeding OG. Aqueous extract of garlic (1% and 2%) was prepared by extraction and were administered with drinking water. A group (1%) shows best performance with regards to body weight gain rather than B (2%),

A 62-d feedlot study was conducted using 135 Angus crossbred steers (body weight = 287 ± 13 kg). All animals were fed a basal diet (BD), then treatments were top-dressed. Treatments were 1) a BD with 1 kg/d of a control supplement (0RPC), 2) the BD plus 0.5 kg/d of the control supplement and 0.5 kg/d of RPC (0.5RCP), and
