Abstract:
Background. A retrospective analysis of surgical treatment of patients with large proximal ureteral stones for the period from January 2018 to December 2022 was carried out. A total of 275 patients were included in the study, 246 (89.4%) men and 29 (10.5 %) women, The average age was 42.7±3.5 years. The inclusion criteria were the stone size ≥10 mm, the average size was 12.7±0.8 cm, the localization of the stone was above the intersection of the ureter with the iliac vessels. The patients were divided into groups according to the performed method of surgical treatment: remote lithotripsy (ESWL

BACKGROUND: Urolithiasis is an actual problem of urology. Over the past 20 years, the tactics of treating patients with urolithiasis has changed significantly. However, there are currently no standardized algorithms for choosing the most effective treatment for a particular patient.
AIM: To evaluate the efficacy and safety of using a mininephroscope in comparison with the use of a flexible ureterorenoscope when performing percutaneous antegrade ureterolithotripsy in the treatment of patients with proximal ureteral calculi.
