Abstract:
This article explores the nexus between Giuseppe Tartini's concertos for violin and orchestra, written for the Franciscan Basilica of Saint Anthony in Padua, and the devotion to this Saint's tongue, still preserved as a relic. Anthony's tongue, hagiographers write, was the instrument of a rhetoric that transcended verbal signification, able to move people of different languages and even animals. Soon, the tongue of Saint Anthony became a powerful symbol of universal language. In the eighteenth century, the Catholic Church, and especially the followers of Saint Anthony, revitalized their global mission to overcome cultural and linguistic barriers. Commissioning orchestral church music was part of this strategy. Like Anthony's preaching, Tartini's music was informed by the utopian goal to reach out to a pluralist community. His music and ideas attracted the attention of Jean-Jacques Rousseau and Charles Burney, both engaged in contemporary debates on the quest for universality of music in a multicultural world. Newly discovered evidence sheds light on the liturgical context of Tartini's violin concertos, as well as on religious rituals of music making and listening that left long-lasting traces of sacrality in the secular rites of production and consumption of instrumental music.

Abstract:
<p><strong>Abstract.</strong> The basilica of St. Anthony in Padua (13th–14th cent.) is one of the most remarkable pilgrimage sites in Italy. To date, the monument itself has never been subject to a comprehensive stratigraphic analysis. Important information about the construction sequence of the building may be conserved in the domed roofs protecting the inner masonry shells.</p><p>The present paper will focus on the dome next to the facade. During the survey, data acquisition via laser scanner have been flanked by standard tasks. Specifically, the stratification analysis of the timber framework of the dome requires to measure the entire structure, including parts with difficult access, and calls for many scan bases to go further the sight obstacles represented by the rafters and the horizontal collar-beams. Therefore, application of laser scanning might appear difficult at first sight.</p><p>The authors will show that the approach confirms the suitability of the laser scanner technology in facing the general complexity of the structure. The development of a graphic documentation in CAD environment entailed a manageable complexity in terms of time-consumption and precision in data processing. So far, the plans reveal the irregular profile of the dome in its inner masonry shell, and of the outer masonry drum. The sections show a two-centre curvature of the elevation of the outer timber shell. However, the joints among the rafters, ribs, and tie-beams still require a series of traditional in-depth assessments acquired in close-range access.</p><p>Nevertheless, the pragmatic investigative modus operandi, tested up to now, does represent a fixed protocol suitable to be iterated and perfected for each cupola. In such complex structures, the laser scanning process confirms to be a valid strategy to reach a good compromise between time consumption, human effort, and millimetre precision. In this way, the collected material provides a first contribution to acquire knowledge on this Italian medieval masterpiece, which stands out on the international scenario for its historical richness and architectural complexity.</p>

Abstract:
St. Anthony of Padua Parish is situated in the heart of Barangay, Matain, Subic, Zambales, which is near the White Rock Beach Resort Hotel headed by Rev. Father Arwin Ebueng Ysonza which is under the umbrella of the Diocese of Iba, Zambales headed by the Most Reverend Bishop Bartolome G. Santos, Jr. DD. It comprises of 9 Barangays which has a population of more than 10,000 approximately, as per the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) on COVID-19 resolutions mass gatherings are allowed on 50% capacity which is stipulated under the Modified General Community Quarantine (MGCQ) in which there is a safety measurement protocol followed like the implementation of contact tracing form, getting the temperature per parishioner and observance to Social Distancing. However, with the implementation of these quarantine protocols, there is a problem that arises because the churchgoers can finish the accomplishment of contact tracing form in 30 minutes and half of the Mass celebration was already missed. In line with this, the researcher is proposing a system that can ease up the situation by Using an Automated Contact Tracing System Mobile App with QR Code that can finish the transactions in a much faster approach by generating a QR Code and scan it, these transactions can process in a matter of less than minutes. By the Ciustomized of this new system, it will follow the quarantine protocol, which is set by the Local Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) on Covid-19 of Subic, Zambales like proper social distancing when entering and leaving the church and recording their names, temperature, and location can be diligently implemented properly and a lot of paper works will be saved because it can generate a quick one-time real-time report that can be exported into an excel form and sent through the e-mails using the Mobile App that scans and generates QR Code per Parishioners
