Abstract:
The article examines the anthroponymic models by which the referent is named in newspaper texts of different decades. The purpose of the work is to identify trends in the use of anthroponyms in media texts based on a comparison of data on their use in the regional newspaper Kurskaya Pravda in various time periods (1990, 2000, 2010, 2020). The work uses such research methods as the continuous sampling method, observation of language material, systematization, analysis, generalization. The features of the use of one-component, two-component and three-component anthroponyms in full and abbreviated form in media texts are analyzed. It is noted that the second and third types are the most frequent, the ratio of which changes over time. Two main trends in the use of anthroponyms in newspaper texts have been identified: a significant reduction in the use of a three-component anthroponym, including initials and surname and actively used in the Soviet press, and a clear transition to the use of a two-component anthroponym, consisting of a full name and surname, which is one of the manifestations of the democratization of language, a means of creating a more modern image of the referent. It is shown that two-component naming (first name and last name), atypical for Soviet media culture, from the business and political sphere eventually passed into the media and was reflected in the language of the Kursk press; gradually this method of nomination became the main one; using this model of anthroponym, the authors of publications participate in the formation of the concept of modern naming, broadcasting emerging trends and spreading them in society. The study of the peculiarities of the use of anthroponyms in the media language contributes to the development of modern anthroponymy, it is important in terms of accumulating data on the current state of the media language.

Abstract:
Introduction. Anthroponyms contain valuable insights into the history of ethnic language and culture. The historical aspect of anthroponymy needs further research to reconstruct a wider panorama of the ethnos-specific anthroponymic system. Goals. The article seeks to consider the anthroponymic elements of Khan Ayuka’s letters in comparison with parallel Russian translated equivalents of theirs. Comparison of the Kalmyk and Russian texts makes it possible to trace traditions of naming people in different ethnocultural societies, thus revealing materials for a Kalmyk 18th-century name list. Methods and Materials. The paper analyzes 1714 letters of the Kalmyk Khan Ayuka and their Russian translations (referred to 1714 as well) housed by the National Archive of the Republic of Kalmykia. The personal names considered identified through the use of the continuous sampling method. The main research methods employed are the descriptive and comparative ones, and that of contextual analysis. The analyzed texts contain not only Kalmyk anthroponyms but also ones borrowed from other languages, which resulted from socio-political contacts with different peoples and states. Along with Russian, there are Kazakh, Tatar, Khiva, Turkmen, and other anthroponyms. Still, the article focuses on Kalmyk anthroponymic elements. Conclusions. Anthroponymy of each ethnos in each era has its own characteristics. In this regard, the material contained in the official correspondence of Khan Ayuka restores part of the Kalmyk anthroponymic register typical for the 1700–1720s. Restoration of the name list in diachrony requires both original texts and their Russian translations be used, since anthroponyms mentioned in the original documents and translated texts complement each other, which may indicate regularity, reproducibility of such personal names.

Abstract:
Scientific interest in informal anthroponyms as an integral component of the anthroponymic system has a long linguistic tradition. Whereas surnames and first names are thoroughly analyzed in onomastic research, nicknames (individual, family), family names, pseudonyms have not been studied enough. Unofficial anthroponyms also reflect the characteristic features of the speech of a certain territory. This enables researchers to trace the interaction of official and folk naming systems. Theoretical analysis of works on anthroponymy made it possible to outline a number of linguistic problems and different approaches to their solution. The article analyzes the state of research on Slavic unofficial anthroponymy, since the research analysis of unofficial anthroponyms contributes to the development of methods of presenting one's own facts, establishing the main topical aspects of studies on nicknames, family names. The works of M. Khudash, P. Chuchka, and R. Ostash are extremely valuable for Ukrainian anthroponymy; they have become the theoretical basis for many studies on anthroponymy. The study revealed that representatives of different schools and areas approach classification of nicknames in different ways. Among all analyzed approaches proposed by scientists, P. Chuchka's classification is the most fully developed. Family names also play an important role in the folk naming system.

Abstract:
The research object of the present text is Polish, Slovakian, and Czech personal names derived from a name which is Latin by origin and denotes a plant. The main aim is to present their full list as well as their initial meaning. Specialized anthroponymic dictionaries are used as the main source of information for excerpting the researched anthroponyms. All of them contain information not only about the different name forms, but also about their etymology, origin, and canonization. The researched anthroponyms are divided into three major groups according to: 1) the meaning of the appellative (i. e. a thematic classification); 2) the type of the basic word (i. e. if the researched anthroponym is derived directly from an appellative or via another anthroponym (in this case a Roman gentile name or a Neolatin name)); 3) their canonization. All personal names included in this research are a part of the modern Polish, Slovakian, and Czech anthroponymicons, even though they represent a small group with relatively infrequent usage, the initial meaning of which is not completely clear to everybody nowadays. That is why it is of great importance to reveal the basic appellative.

Abstract:
Drawing from the perspective of Contextual Fictional Etymology, in this paper we analyze four Indianist anthroponyms, namely, Irapuã, Coatiabo, Maranguab and Abaeté, found in the works O Guarani, Iracema and Ubirajara by José de Alencar. For this purpose, we draw from the theoretical framework of Onomastics (DICK, 1999), Contextual Fictional Etymology (AUTOR, 2018), Lexicology (BIDERMAN, 2001; VILELA, 1995) and Corpus Linguistics (BERBER SARDINHA, 2004, 2009; AUTOR, 2014). To extract the Indianist anthroponyms, we used the WordSmith Tools software (SCOTT, 2012) and some resources of the Genre/Historical version of Corpus do Português (DAVIES, 2006). We considered as Alencar’s anthroponymic etymons the indigenous names created by the author in his works. Towards this end, two criteria were considered: first, the words should not be part of exclusion dictionaries, which publication predates Alencar's works; second, the words should appear in the Corpus do Português (DAVIES, 2006) as having its first occurrence in texts written by Alencar. The creation of anthroponymic etymons by Alencar enabled him to attribute to the indigenous characters not only a name, but also the physical and/or psychological features intended by the author. Therefore, from the perspective of Contextual Fictional Etymology, the study of Alencar’s anthroponymies also entails some knowledge about the language possibilities and the author’s creativity, by means of a lexicon that enabled the expression of his ideals.

Abstract:
The article deals with anthroponymic names of Moscow cafes and restaurants. The reuse of anthroponym as an ergonomic name is one of the cases of transonimization. In addition to the nominative function the names of catering enterprises have informative and influential functions. Titles-antroponyms can carry the following types of information about the institution: 1) national cuisine, 2) origin of the owner, 3) concept of the institution: target audience, room interior, animation, etc. The function is manifested in associations caused by anthroponyms: nostalgic memories of the homeland, iconic historical figures, favorite literary works, films and their characters. Anthroponymic names most often indicate the origin of the cuisine. As the analysis of the material has shown, the most informative are the precedent personal names. As a rule, they belong to famous people of Russia and Western Europe and are used as names of institutions offering dishes of Russian and European cuisine.

Abstract:
The article characterizes the names of sweets, including anthroponyms, from the point of view of syntactic structure. Four groups of pragmatonyms are analyzed. The first group includes names that formally correspond to Russian anthroponymic formulas (one-, two- and three-component), which determines the novelty of the research. Among the one-component formulas, the formulas “Name” (full anthroponym) and “Surname” are highlighted. Within the framework of the subgroup of two-component formulas, the names built according to the models “First name + Middle Name” and “First name + Last name” have been studied. The nominations of this group in some cases reflect the imitation of the anthroponymic formula (with semantic digressions) as a result of the onimization process. The second group of pragmatonyms was made up of one-word anthroponyms in a hypocoristic or deminutive form. The third group is represented by phrases with a compositional and subordinate (on the basis of agreement, management and adherence) communication. Substantive combinations, including applications, are built on the basis of agreement. Combinations with two types of communication (compositional and subordinate) are classified. The fourth group includes pragmatonyms – sentences. Within the framework of this group, the names of sweets are considered, which are, in their structure, common and uncommon simple sentences.

Abstract:
The paper focuses on the study of historical linguistic research of Proto-Slavonic anthroponyms composites with the stem *slav-. The topicality of this paper is determined by a declining interest in research of Old Slavonic lexical heritage in Slavonic historical and modern anthroponymy. The purpose of study is the description of the structure and semantics of anthroponymic composites with Proto Slavonic component *slav-. The object of the research is Nomina Personalia, taken from Slavonic written sources (namely, collections of Slavonic personal names, to a lesser extent — monuments of different times), which are formed by the way of compounding. Etymological, morphological and lexical-semantic peculiarities of Slavonic proper names as well as reconstructed Proto-Slavonic prototypes constitute the subject of the investigation. As the result of our research, the fragments of the paradigm of Proto-Slavonic compound words with exponent *slav-/*-slavъ are reconstructed; etymological ambiguity of some compound proper names is commented; morphological and semantical (ideological) peculiarities of archaic Slavonic dithematic anthroponyms are highlighted. Conclusions. Proto Slavonic binominal Nomina Propria with the exponent *slav-/*-slavъ are attested as prepositive determinatives as well as a postpositive defined word. Preliminary results of the group recondtruction of the units, which belonged to the viewed lingistical object, indicate the high degree of the stem *slav- productivity. In particular Proto Slavonic vocabulary may be supplemented with 230 prototypes; it is possible to expand geography for a number of previously proposed Proto-Slavonic words. High productivity of the paradigm with the exponent *slav- impels us to make the conclusion about significant culture role of *slav-anthroponyms in the life of Old Slavonic peoples. Lake some other exponents of Proto-Slavonic anthroponymic vocabulary, *slav- was a lexical unit of archaic poetic language used in ritualized actions. Examples of poetic speech demonstrate syntactic counterparts of dithematic personal mames on the basis of which the analyzed anthroponyms perhaps arose. The perspectives for further research are to uncover the system of structurally and etymologically identical dithematical anthroponyms in onomastic vocabulary of Baltic and Iranian languages and comparative analyzis of their cultural semantics.

Abstract:
The topic of variability is one of the most demanded in the field of phraseology, since the interrelation of variability and stability is the essential characteristic of phraseological expressions as reproducible language expressions. The relevance of the research is the need to study the trends of phraseological changes, including new approaches to systematizing these changes, which requires the development of methods and techniques of analyzing different types of variability. The aim is to analyze the phenomenon of phraseological variation on the material of phraseological units with anthroponyms, identify types of variation of anthroponyms as parts of phraseological units, describe the traditional and occasional nature of changes and determine the boundaries between variations and autonomous units. With the help of analytic-descriptive method, semantic analysis of dictionary definitions, contextual analysis and corpus method, the role of anthroponymic component in the semantics and structure of phraseological units and the significance of this component variation for changing phraseological units and defining them as variants or autonomous units are characterized. The usual and occasional nature of variation is shown. The following types of variation of the component-anthroponym are identified and examined in detail: variation of forms (onym or its forms); lexical variation (onym/onym; onym/appellative; no lexical variation of onym); syntactic variation. The first type is represented by phonetic, word-formation, morphological, structural variation of the units. Lexical variation is manifested, as a rule, in the substitution of assonant names, including names with gender inversion. Syntactic variation associated with quantitative changes in onyms leads to figurative and structural-semantic changes, modification of the unit, its convergence with phraseological schemes. The analysis of the impact of certain changes in the anthroponymic component on the semantic identity of phraseological units allows to determine the status of phraseological units as variants or autonomous units. The study shows that the anthroponym within phraseological units of different types is a representative component in describing the phenomenon of phraseological variation. In the future, the types of variation of the anthroponym identified may classify the types of Russian phraseological units variation, as well as identify the specificity of variation of phraseological units in other languages.

The subject of the article are the names of the martyrs of the Polish-Ukrainian borderland at the turn of the 19th ant 20th centuries, presented in the context of their lives and religious and historical events. The aim of the discussion is to examine in a diachronic and comparative aspect the anthroponymic material excerpted from historio-graphic sources in relation to the former regional names of the borderland and ethnic lands of Ukraine. The conducted research showed a close relationship between the analyzed onimos and the Ukrainian anthroponymic system developed in historical times: the names in the Ukrainian language version are mostly confirmed in the Byzantine-Ruthenian calendar, and the surnames clearly refer to the anthroponymy of those parts of the Polish-Ukrainian border-land from which their bearers came, also revealed a significant resemblance to the names of the former Ukrainian territories: Volhynia and the Ruthenian voievodeship. The anthroponyms about Polish linguistic features testify to the specificity conditioned by the interethnic contacts typical of the borderland.

Abstract:
The proper name of a person among the Turkic peoples has a special meaning. There is a belief that the name directly affects the future of a person. Therefore, choosing a name for a newborn baby is a big responsibility for the family. Each onymic unit in the language is a reflection of the national consciousness. Onymic units play an important role in intercultural communication. The meaning of anthroponyms in one language may be different in another related language. This article defines the meaning of the name ‘Saikal’ in the Turkic languages, identifies and compares the anthroponymic and appellative meanings underlying this name. The peculiarities of the use, meaning and origin of the anthroponym «Saykal» in other Turkic languages are differentiated. On the basis of modern and historical linguistic data, the transformation of the word «Saikal» into an anthroponym and its use in positive and negative meanings is determined. The word ‘Saikal’ in the modern Kazakh language has a negative meaning. In the Kyrgyz language, the name Saikal is one of the most common names for girls, because Saikal is a heroine who was a fighting girlfriend of Manas Batyr, who was revered by the Kyrgyz people. In the literary heritage of the Kyrgyz people, the image of a woman named Saikal is a symbol of an intelligent, prudent, brave and courageous woman. Various historical and cultural factors may influence the use of the same word in Turkic languages with opposite meanings. Comparing the use of anthroponyms of one language in other related languages, it is possible to to restore new data on the system of common Turkic anthroponyms, their history and the function of individual words as anthroponyms. The data presented in the article will make it possible to understand the peculiarities of the appellative vocabulary underlying anthroponyms, and can also be used in the etymological dictionary of personal names of the Turkic peoples.

Abstract:
In this paper, a short history of Basque anthroponymy is made, starting from Antiquity and going through the Roman period, the Middle Ages, the Modern Age and the Contemporary Age. For each of these periods, the stock of the most frequent person names is presented, by synthesizing a variety of works by other authors, who in turn depend on the kind of sources that we have for each period. As in other parts of Europe, an autochthonous repertoire of anthroponyms dominates until the 11th century, either of Aquitanian/Basque etymology or borrowed (mainly from Romance), but deep-rooted in the Basque-speaking areas and particularly in the Kingdom of Pamplona. From the 11th century, the centralizing reforms undertaken by the Catholic Church brought about a gradual substitution of those ancient person names by some others taken from saints, evangelists, characters of the New Testament, a tendency brought to the extreme by the previsions fostered by the Council of Trent. However, as any other European language, Basque developed vernacular versions of these names, as well as an ample array of hypocoristic variants, in which the autochtonous processes of the language such as suffixation, palatalization, etc., are profusely employed. As against some previous accounts of Basque anthroponymy, which have focused exclusively on the analysis of separate anthroponymic units (basically idionyms and patronyms), this paper aims at a global description of the anthroponymic system, considering also social aspects like the development of naming structures as a whole (e.g. idionym + patronym + toponym), and the motivation for giving children particular names (according to relatives, ancestors, patron saints, calendars…).

Abstract:
Anthroponymy is indeed the study of anthroponyms, which are personal names given to individuals or groups of people. Understanding how to express the semantic features of personal names in dictionaries is crucial for accurately capturing and conveying the diverse meanings and cultural nuances associated with names. Thus, we have conducted a comprehensive study on anthroponymy, specifically focusing on the general characteristics of proper names briefly referring to some examples in Kazakh, British English, and American English. By consulting various works dedicated to anthropology and linguistics, we have likely gathered valuable insights into the anthroponymic systems of some cultures and languages. The use of tables and figures can be helpful in presenting and analyzing data related to the characteristics of names. Furthermore, our analysis of unisex proper names in Great Britain and Kazakhstan for the year 2023 adds a contemporary and specific dimension to the given research. Overall, this article appears to offer a brief exploration of personal names, incorporating general characteristics, cultural identity, and contemporary analysis. This descriptive approach is likely to provide readers with valuable insights into the types and trends of proper names in English-speaking countries and Kazakhstan.

Abstract:
Colors, being omnipresent in our daily life, we often meet them in onomastics as well: in the names of plants and animals, toponyms and anthroponyms. Therefore, in the official anthroponymic nomenclature, we attest today the family names: Albu, Bălan, Căruntu, Laiu, Negru, Smadu, Roșu, etc. whose formation is based on the names of colors: alb, bălan, cărunt, lai, negru, smad, roșu, etc. The colors in the family names originally had the function of a nickname or surname and were assigned to people with specific characteristics. The chromatic term black (or equivalents expressing shades of this "prototype color") was often used in anthroponymy to designate persons, as an allusion to the color of their skin, hair, eyes, etc. Thus, through this study, we aim to inventory, analyse and present some surnames from this category, referring to their documentary attestations and their current records.

The article is dedicated to the study of stylistic functions of anthroponyms as an important means of traditional and innovative text creation in the novel "Solo for Solomiya" by Volodymyr Lys. A group of anthroponyms are represented by "names of historical figures", "culturological names" used for the purpose of temporal marking is singled out. It is proved that literary and artistic anthroponymic units are a coherent system, thanks to which the ideological and artistic idea of a prose writer is realized. In the course of the research it was found out that the following model structures predominate among anthroponyms: one-token ones – “names”, “surnames-fictonies”, “andronyms”; two-lexemes – "name + surname", "name + surname," name + patronymic "," name + andronym "," surname + surname "," qualitative expression and surname "," Qualitative expression + name "; three tokens – "name + name + surname", "name + patronymic + surname", "qualitative expression + name + andronym". It is determined that anthroponyms have a certain purpose of realization of the author's idea and perform various stylistic functions, in particular nominative, characterizing, concretizing, evaluative, emotionally expressive. It is proved that the main function of naming, which can be enhanced by characterization and identification. This is observed, for example, in such a structural variation as "anthroponym + appendix (common or uncommon)", which is motivated by humorous characterization of the hero, the introduction of additional information (position, indication of family relationships, social status), contemptuous and ironic characterization. Emphasis is placed on the fact that in the introduction of literary and artistic anthroponyms the author uses stylistic figures, including amplification and parcelling. In addition, it is determined that diminutive suffixes are one of the means of creating literary and artistic anthroponyms in the novel "Solo for Solomiya" by Volodymyr Lys and create certain emotional nuances – affection, smallness, kindness, if necessary to give the portrayal a trusting character.

When teaching Russian as a foreign language, anthroponyms act both as an object of study and as material for teaching Russian as a foreign language. The article points out the difficulties that Chinese students most often encounter in studying the Russian anthroponymic system, and ways to overcome them. The greatest difficulty in mastering Russian anthroponyms is associated with the three-component structure of Russian anthroponyms – distinguishing the name, patronymic and last name and using them in speech, so the teacher of Russian as a foreign language is faced with the task of introducing students to Russian anthroponymic formulas of speech etiquette. When teaching Chinese students Russian anthroponyms, it is effective to use a cognitive-regional geographic approach, which will improve the level of language skills and the general cultural level of students.

In the article the Polish influence on Belarusian Onomastic system in the period of the XIX century and the beginning of the XXIth century are investigated. From the XIX and the beginning of XXth centuries two onomastic options are considered separately: the official Belarusian onomasticon presented in Russian documentary records and the unofficial onomasticon, which consisted of newspaper fixations of Belarusian toponyms and anthroponyms in Belarusian-language press of that time. The level of polonization of official and unofficial toponymy and antroponymy and degree of preservation of their Belarusian national identity are analyzed. In respect of the period of beginning of the XXIth century the manifestation of Polish-rice in toponymic and anthroponymic vocabulary group are traced. In toponymy the Polonized traditional forms and the erroneous writing are revealed, in anthroponymy – facial names that stand as monuments to the Belarusian-Polish cultural and historical ties.

Abstract:
The article presents an analysis of the semantic parameters of quasi-anthroponyms utilized in English-language accompanying texts for fantasy computer games. As a first step, we developed an approach to clarify the term quasi-anthroponym, which had been subject to various interpretations in scholarly publications. Quasi-anthroponyms are defined here as names of animated fictional objects that function as characters within the virtual worlds of video games. Taking into account the correlation between real and fictional elements, fantasy characters are categorized based on the degree of their fictionality. Quasi-anthroponyms naming characters of highly fictional game universes are classified into three major groups according to their semantic potential. The primary semantic parameters underlying this classification include indications of the character’s appearance, specific characteristics and combinations of certain features, such as the character’s functions in the game universe. The significance of this research lies in expanding the field of anthroponymic studies by incorporating relevant language material from virtual game discourse. Moreover, the practical implications are demonstrated through the potential use of these findings in lectures and seminars on contemporary English lexicology and stylistics, as well as in the analysis of texts of fantasy video games in language teaching. This aligns with the growing trend towards gamification of modern educational practices. Ultimately, this study establishes substantive criteria underlying the creation of English-language names for fictitious characters in the realm of fantasy video games. In addition, inventorization, systematization and classification of these linguistic units were conducted.

Abstract:
Purpose of the study: The article aims to study the anthroponymy structure of academic discourse based on the material of astronautical corpora. To achieve this goal, it is necessary to solve a number of specific tasks: to define the terms “anthroponym” and “eponym”, to reveal the structural types of astronautical eponyms, and to identify the functional significance of anthroponyms and eponyms. Methodology: The method of componential analysis and the descriptive method have been used as the primary research methods applying such techniques as observation, comparison, interpretation, and generalization. The methodological basis of the research includes discourse theory, the theory of precedence, achievements of cognitive linguistics, and studies on problems of terminology. Main findings: The authors propose to consider anthroponyms and eponymous terms as precedents, which are points of reference in the change of the scientific paradigm, help to systematize scientific knowledge, and navigate in its fund. The results of the study suggest that the anthroponymy structure of academic discourse provides information compression that makes the text concise without reducing information and performs a memorial function. Applications of this study: The research attempts to contribute to the further study of the academic discourse structure and the analytical description of its components using a cognitive-pragmatic approach. Higher education teachers can use the results of the article in lectures on the theory of academic discourse. Novelty/originality of this study: Few researchers have addressed astronautical academic discourse, investigating its structural and functional features. This study is the first to analyze the astronautical eponyms as super compressed signs of the precedent research.

Abstract:
The development of free, creative, improvised, anti-totalitarian speech, social and psycholinguistic factors have all contributed to the transformation of language consciousness and the realization of the game potential of speech, the analysis of which led to the formation of creative linguistics. The language game is realized due to the actualization of manipulations with units of all levels of the language system. Different categories of onyms are also involved in the language game, this fact is motivated by the special pragmatic nature of their meaning. The study of creative speech repre-sents an innovative approach to the description of the language which, although it has its traditional, partially developed methodology, is characterized by the uniqueness of expression in the system of anthroponyms. We state the emergence of creative onomastics as an independent linguistic direction, the unit of which is the anthroponym-createme. The language game with anthroponyms is clearly manifested in the discourse of the modern media. The purpose of this research is to represent the ways in which anthroponymic createmes function in modern Ukrainian and Russian journalistic discourse. Examples of manipulating the name of Russian President Vladimir Putin and modelling his media image are described. This anthroponym-createme became the stimulus for the creation of original connotations, semantic and word-forming derivation, pragmatic meanings, demonstrating the vector of its functional load. It has been proved that active methods of modelling alanguage game involving anthroponyms are (1)metaphorization and metonymization, (2)euphemism, (3)dysphe-mization, (4)crealized derivation, including graphic, (5)paraphrasing, (6)paronomasia, (7)actu-alization of several associative features, (8)realization of the phenomenon of precedent (manipu-lation of mythonyms, biblicals, folklore and other types of onyms), (9)collision of antonymous or (10)homonymous meanings. There is acombination of the above mechanisms of the creation of linguocreatemes: complex combinations of several methods in different variations. Generated occa-sional meanings create adiverse palette of speech tones (ironic, low, contemptuous, humorous, sar-castic, etc.), stipulating arange of emotions and feelings, representing axiological meanings with varying degrees of expression.

Abstract:
The article analyzes connotative and quasi-anthroponyms denoting the concept of ‘ordinary citizen’. Basing on the current material, we clarify the main structural and semantic features of such names in the Ukrainian, French and German languages. Connotative anthroponyms and quasi-anthroponyms have a common function, but are of different origins; usually the boundary between these types of names is negligible. Connotative anthroponyms are usually typical national names, surnames or other types of proper names of a certain period. Quasi-anthroponyms are formed by a range of linguistic means: the use of obscene and slang words; common names that explicitly express the meaning of mediocrity (especially in German), expressive vocabulary. The creation of quasi-anthroponyms is carried out by adding of typical anthroponymic affixes to common names and mixing anthroponymic components with appellatives in case of a two-component name. Connotative and quasi-anthroponyms are mostly derogatory, and those used to denote representatives of other nations can sometimes be considered a manifestation of hate speech. The vast majority of the studied language units belong to the masculine gender, which has neutral meaning. Feminine names have neither ameliorative nor pejorative meanings compared to masculine ones. In some cases, feminine names are used with a neutral meaning. Structurally connotative anthroponyms and quasi-anthroponyms denoting an average citizen may consist of a name; surname; name and surname; identifier and surname; name, patronymic and (sometimes) surname. The prevalence of structural models depends on language traditions and may change over time.

Abstract:
Introduction. On the southern coast of Lake Onega there is a significant layer of Baltic-Finnish geographical names. The medieval ethnic history of this region remains poorly understood. This is due to the fact that the Novgorod scribal books date back to the end of the XV century, the toponymic and anthroponymic material of which remains not quite sought after by historians. The study of this material makes it possible to shed light on the ethnic history of the southern Obonezhye. Materials and Methods. The main source of research was the scribal book of Obonezhskaya pyatina of 7004 (1495/96). The descriptive method of research consists in identifying and fixing Baltic-Finnish oikonyms (names of rural settlements) and anthroponyms mentioned in the scribal book. It revealed Baltic-Finnish anthroponyms by analyzing the formal indicators of adoption of anthroponyms. Results and Discussion. According to the toponymy and anthroponymy of the scribal book, the population of the southern Obonezhye was mixed: it consisted of Slavs, Karelians and Vepsians. Karelians were present on the Olonets isthmus and in the south-western Prionezhye. This is largely explained due to the migration flow of Karelians from the north-western Ladoga area. The Vepsians lived in vast areas of the south-eastern and south-western Prionezhye, the Svir River basin and Oshta. Ethnographic studies have shown that many Vepsian settlements survived from the end of the XV to the middle of the XX – the beginning of the XXI century. Conclusion. The scribal book in the surviving fragments and Novgorodian acts indicate that by the end of the XV century the southern coast of Lake Onegа was inhabited by various ethnic groups: Slavs, Karelians and Vepsians, as evidenced by the anthroponyms and toponyms of the southern part of Obonezhye.

Abstract:
Introduction. Exploration of family anthroponyms associated with names of social titles and ranks on the basis of factual materials is of special significance, especially when it comes to examine the former in several essential perspectives. Goals. The study primarily aims at considering family names derived from social titles and ranks in historical /etymological and lexical/semantic perspectives. Restoration of some ancient names that have got completely excluded from the historical anthroponymic system is possible through analysis of surnames recorded in historical documents. The article seeks to determine the actual methods of deriving surnames from social titles and ranks, as well as to establish correspondences between historical facts and transformed (at certain stages of social life) concepts that had been once used to denote such titles and ranks further manifested in anthroponyms. Materials and Methods. The work analyzes surnames derived from titles and ranks registered in the scientific two-volume edition ‘Documents and Materials on Bashkir History, 1836–1842: Formulary Lists of Civil Servants Attached to the Bashkir-Mishar Tatar Host, 1836–1842’. The study employs a number of linguistic methods, such as the descriptive, etymological, comparative, and statistical ones. Results. Thus, the historical and etymological analysis of surnames derived from the onyms хан ~ ҡан ‘khan ~ qan’, бәк ~ бик ‘beg ~ b(e)ik’, бей ‘bey’, батыр ‘ba(gha)tur’, алп, алып ‘alp’, шаҡман ‘shaqman’ makes it possible conclude as to the significance of titles and ranks in the formation of Bashkir anthroponymy. For example, the insight into the onym хан ~ ҡан serving an anthroponymic basis reveals that the institution of khanate had existed in Bashkir society since ancient times, long before the Golden Horde, which resulted in that ҡан (хан) — stemmed family onyms (as well as related phonetic versions of the lexeme) were widespread enough. The paper also shows that surnames containing the title lexeme бик were much more common than those derived from the form бек. Another finding is that quite a share of discovered Bashkir surnames were derived from ranks bestowed to war heroes (батыр, алп, шаҡман, алдар).

The purpose of the article is to summarize and supplement key information about anthroponyms as basic components of the onymic system by referring to English-language lexicographic works and terminology registers. The object of the study is anthroponyms as the basic components of the onymic system. The subject of the study is the specificity of terminological designation, definition and typology of anthroponyms in Ukrainian and foreign sources. Methods of research are predetermined by the purpose and tasks put in the article. The main ones are comparative analyses, observation method, analysis of the scientific literature, method of classification, descriptive, comparative, and historical methods as well as methods of generalization and abstraction. They make it possible to clarify the concept of anthroponym, to define the specificity of functioning in different resources, to draw conclusions on the typology of anthroponyms. The term «anthroponym» belongs to the category of international and is firmly established in scientific linguistic communication for proper names of people. The chronology of its appearance in foreign and domestic sources varies, but can be most generally described as the second half of the twentieth century. Presence in the most authoritative terminology registers and dictionaries has contributed to popularization of the term «anthroponym» among researches of different countries and has supported its relevance for many decades. The analysed English-speaking and Ukrainian lexicographic works are mostly unanimous in defining anthroponym as a name of a human being, but we find particularly valuable more informative definitions, which contain information on the function and peculiarities of anthroponyms or represent a typology of antroponyms. The anthroponym typologies proposed by the authors vary considerably in quantitative and qualitative parameters, making it difficult to compare them with the corresponding material in Englishlanguage sources. The results of the analyses validate the observations of scholars from different countries that terminological homogeneity does not exist at the international level, which makes translation of terms and comparative research difficult.

This article studies the structure “definite article + proper noun anthroponym” and its distribution of use in cases of female and male anthroponyms. It is assumed that this structure is more frequent when the anthroponym is female (“la Violeta” and not “el Nicanor”). Since the presence of the article is expletive before proper nouns and, on the contrary, the use of this determinant or another is required, in specific syntactic positions, before common nouns, the appearance of the definite article preceding the feminine anthroponym could be a mark of social prejudice towards woman. To corroborate this hypothesis, the phenomenon studied was tracked in chilean written press texts, in order to analysing its appearance and frequency of use in cases of feminine and masculine anthroponyms.

Proper names of people as creating stems are represented in oiconymy of Ukraine. Anthroponymy separated from o iconymy of Ukraine ending in *-inъ is only a small fragment of a large amount of proper names and their variants. The actual problem is creating the dictionary of personal names of people, which would contain anthroponymy derived from archaic oiconymy. It would enrich not only the Ukrainian anthroponymicon but AllSlavonic one. 251 anthroponym of canonical origin is distinguished from geographical names of Ukraine ending in *-inъ. Most of Christian anthroponyms are represented in dictionaries as names of people or as bynames/proto-surnames. It is found out that 30 names (12%) are not represented in lexicographical works: Аврата (< Гаврило), Горпа (< Агрипина//Горпина), Демх(ш)а (< Дем’ян), Домашла (< Домна, Домнікія, Домаха), Ільпа (< Ілля), Кузята (< Кузьма), Макиш(х)а (< Матвій, розм. Abstract:
The article is dedicated to establishing the peculiarities of using anthroponyms in modern German and Ukrainian political media discourses. The study materials were modern online media news from Germany and Ukraine during January-March 2023. Onyms in general and anthroponyms in particular occupy a central place in reference in the information flow. Proper names are undoubtedly an essential component of media discourse, as any complete message presupposes the presence of referents that are identified through anthroponyms, toponyms, or other types of onyms. When referring to anthroponyms in German and Ukrainian media practices, a similar set of collocations with anthroponyms can be observed: from maximal identification of the referent with attributive expressions to the use of traditional contextual synonyms. Nevertheless, certain features of reference to onyms in the analyzed political media texts can be observed. In German media linguistic culture, the use of elaborate anthroponyms is typical, where party affiliation, age, and other information can be indicated, which is obviously due to the desire for comprehensive identification of the actors. In Ukrainian media practice, there is a tendency towards shorter identification of anthroponyms In modern German and Ukrainian media texts, we observe the following principle of using anthroponyms: the headline provides minimal identification for actors, the opening provides maximum identification of the anthroponym, and in the text itself, reference to the anthroponym is made through the surname or other reference markers.

It underscores the correlation of the characters’ names with the other anthroponyms in the texts of the tragedies, as well as the actualization of «the topic of genus» through the tropological substitutions of a personal name. Various forms of semantic transformations of personal names and the «anthroponymic formulaicity» of the Russian laudatory odes, associated with the personifi ed classicistic mentality, are being investigated.

Abstract:
The subject of this paper is proper names of two generations within a timespan of 10 years. The materials have been excerpted from registry records of the Leskovac School of Economics «Đuka Dinić». In the paper, a comparative analysis of the anthroponyms (personal given names/surnames) of the generation enrolled at the school in the year 2008/2009 (born in 1993) and the generation enrolled in 2018/2019 (born in 2003) will be performed. The aims of the paper are to conduct a semantic-motivational and structural-derivational analysis, and then determine the frequency of names among the first and the second generation of students and compare the two anthroponymic systems — that is, to summarize how much the anthroponymic system has changed in the last ten years, the sort of alterations that have been made and the nature thereof. Key words: Serbian language, anthroponyms, personal name, Leskovac

Abstract:
The article is dedicated to the study of phraseological units with an anthroponym component in the Ukrainian language. In particular, it is noted that this phraseological microsystem was never studied within the Ukrainian language as a separate subject, but only in conjunction with studying phraseological units with a proper name component in general. The analysis carried out makes it possible to single out three main groups of phraseological units with an anthroponym component depending on origin: 1) those with commonly used anthroponyms, male names in most cases; 2) those with anthroponyms of biblical origin; and 3) those with anthroponyms of mythological origin. On the basis of semantic features, nine most essential groups were identified in this phraseological microsystem. It is emphasized that the absolute majority of phraseological units with an anthroponym component are associated with a description of a person, his character traits, mental processes, actions and states, etc. A significant part of the phraseological units within this microsystem characterize abstract concepts and various situations, and only a small number of them are used to designate material merits or, vice versa, shortcomings of a person, his behavior, actions, etc. A structural-syntactic analysis of phraseological units with an anthroponym component is also carried out. It is stated that in terms of structure, the lion’s share of phraseological units of this microsystem correspond to a word combination with a subordinate connection to a greater extent, and with a coordinative connection to a lesser extent. A part of phraseological units with an anthroponym component also correspond to a combination of words, a common figure of speech and a subordinate clause of a complex sentence. The models used to construct phraseological units with an anthroponym component are described in detail. The factual phraseological material indicates that variance is a nontypical phenomenon for the phraseological units of the analyzed microsystem, especially for phraseological units with an anthroponym component of biblical origin and the same units of mythological origin.

Abstract:
This article analyzes anthroponymic component language chunks in medical terminology. The research focuses on a large group of medical fixed phrases containing anthroponyms in their component composition. The main attention is paid to structural, semantic and etymological analysis. The basic lexical sets of anthroponymic component language chunks have been distinguished. The main sources and models of lexical phrases used in the formation of medical terms have been defined. The collected material allows us to state that the words syndrome, symptom and disease, being the structural core of medical phraseological units, are often distinguished in the phraseological units analyzed. The dependent component in a noun phrase is represented by an anthroponym. As a rule, this is the name of the scientist who made important discoveries in the medical field. Much attention is paid to the proper name semantics as part of a phraseological unit. Based on the etymological analysis of the material under study, the classification of medical phraseological units with a proper name component has been developed. The analysis showed that the origin of phraseological units with a proper name is based on real personalities, scientists, ancient and biblical mythology, literary works associated with the names of characters. Phraseological combinations associated with national and cultural specifics are of outstanding interest for linguistic analysis. The study showed that a proper name is a special linguistic sign that involves ethnic culture. The article discusses lexical chunks formed by metaphorical transfer in detail. The metaphorical transfer of names in the terminological system is noticed regularly, which is due to the constant development of medical terms’ new names and meanings formation through the scientific rethinking of common words.

Abstract:
The article highlights opinions about the meaning of the name Făgăraș (attested both as a toponym and as an anthroponym). In order to explain its meaning, the sources, which are extremely diverse, are documented (collections of documents, statistical and fiscal records: urbaria, conscriptions, catagraphies, parish registers, yearbooks, telephone books, internet sites, topographic maps etc.). Also, taking into account the (predominantly) meaning of the anthroponym, we have highlighted its spatial distribution, in conjunction with other words (appellatives) related to beech charcoal production (Romanian: cărbunar, mangalagiu). Based on the chrono-spatial distribution, it seems that the toponym was similar to făget (beech forest), and the anthroponym refers to the production of beech charcoal from beechwood. In both cases, both the appellative and the name (toponyms, anthroponyms) are Romanian creations (if not entirely, at least in most of them). The distribution of toponyms is closely related to the spread of the beech forests, and that of the anthroponyms is also closely related to this forest vegetation.

Abstract:
The purpose of this article is to present the characteristics of a group of anthroponyms in order to point out some directions for studies of Brazilian anthroponymy. This article is based on theoretical assumptions of Onomastics and on the interface between this field of study and Law. The anthroponyms analyzed are civil name, social name, ballot name and parliamentary name. Data were collected from the Superior Electoral Court, the Chamber of Deputies and court decisions from tribunals. Recent Brazilian anthroponymy studies demonstrate that research on personal names relating linguistic and legal aspects is still incipient. This article provides some suggestions that could bridge such a gap by analyzing lexical or grammatical aspects of data originating from legal norms or judicial decisions.

Abstract:
The article analyses the derivative forms of Russian personal names, which are characterized by national and cultural coloration. It reveals the specificity of derivative anthroponyms at the structural and derivational, expressive-stylistic levels and determines the functional status of these modifiers in the anthroponymic system of the Russian language. The research material is represented by the fictional texts of E. V. Chestnyakov, a Kostroma writer, who widely used anthroponyms in his work most accurately reflecting the significance of Russian personal names in living speech.
