Abstract:

Abstract:
Abstract Private law theory must confront the plurality of values that inform the problems that private law addresses in practice. We consider Hanoch Dagan’s and Michael Heller’s The Choice Theory of Contracts as a case-study in the promise and perils that embracing plural values poses for private law theory. We begin by arguing that private law theory cannot ignore value pluralism and identify three approaches that theory might take to pluralism. We call these approaches capitulating to, leveraging, and embracing value pluralism. We illustrate each approach and assess its strengths and weaknesses. Theories that capitulate to pluralism simultaneously limit their scope and hamper their persuasiveness even within their restricted domains. Theories that leverage pluralism limit their domains more dramatically still. And theories that embrace pluralism are difficult to operationalize in practice without abandoning their pluralist roots. We briefly illustrate the drawbacks of capitulating to and leveraging pluralism with examples from recent contract theory. We then take up theories that embrace pluralism in greater detail, by studying Dagan and Heller’s approach. We argue that Dagan and Heller do not solve the deep problems that operationalizing their embrace of pluralism inevitably engenders.

Abstract:
Abstract The present paper revisits Dror's (2016a) analysis of collective nouns and their agreement patterns in the Qur'ān. Collectives are ‘unmarked plurals’, i.e. morphologically singular nouns that semantically refer to a plurality of entities. With respect to agreement, Dror distinguishes between singular agreement (syntactic) and plural agreement (semantic), signalling respectively a holistic or distributive reference. We argue that, although the consideration of plural agreement as semantically motivated is correct, gender should also be taken into consideration, especially when a mismatch occurs between morphologically masculine singular collectives and feminine singular agreeing targets. The present paper, grounded in a typological approach, demonstrates that feminine singular agreement with masculine singular controllers represents another form of semantic agreement, in which the controller is considered as a non-individuated plural.

Abstract:
This article will see the problem of pluralism through multi- dimensional approach. The plural society is not only the characteristic of modern industrial society, but also the characteristic of Islamic society, since the Prophet (PBUH) era. Normatively, al-Quran clearly rejects the exclusif way of life. In todays life, admitting diversity but having no will to create harmony will cause an unendless problem. Pluralism is the divine design which must be applied in manner and action. This must not stop in the discourse, but more practical. Human being is not merely a homo pluralist, who appreciate the diversity, but homo multiculturalist, who believe that in a plural relation there must be build real actions based on equality and justice.

Abstract:
AbstractHow far can monotheism be reconciled with the pluralism characteristic of modern societies? In this article, I focus on the “value pluralism” of Isaiah Berlin, which I suggest captures a deeper level of plurality than Rawls's more familiar version of pluralism. However, some critics have objected that Berlinian pluralism is too controversial an idea in which to ground liberalism because it is profoundly at odds with the monotheism professed by so many citizens of a modern society. I argue that monotheists can be value pluralists as long as they do not insist that their faith is superior to all others. This pluralist position is exemplified by elements of the interfaith movement, according to which many religions are recognized as having roughly equal value. I also argue that a value-pluralist approach to religious accommodation, if it can be achieved, may be more stable than the uneasy combination of disapproval and restraint involved in the more orthodox solution to conflict among religions, toleration.

Abstract:
ABSTRACTObserving the increasing, yet still partial exploration of pluralism, complexity and multiplicity in recent Labour party historiography, this article pursues a pluralist approach to Labour on two central, related themes of its middle-century evolution. First, it probes the plurality of Labour's different conceptions of time, specifically how it lived with the ambiguity of simultaneously viewing social progress as both immediate and rapidly achievable, yet also long term and strewn with constraints. This co-existence of multiple time-frames highlights the party's uncertainty and ideological multi-dimensionality, especially in its focus both on relatively rapid economic or structural transformation, and on much more slow-moving cultural, ethical, and educational change. It also complicates neat characterizations of particular phases in the party's history, challenging straightforwardly declinist views of the post-1945–51 period. Secondly, time connects to Labour's view of the people. Whilst historians have debated between positive and negative perceptions of the people, here the plural, split mind of Labour about the progressive potential of the citizenry is stressed, one closely intertwined with its multiple outlook on how long socialism would take. Contrasts are also suggested between the time-frames and expectations under which Labour and the Conservatives operated.

Abstract:
The reality of a nation that shows the existence of conditions of cultural diversity, defines the choice to adopt pluralist principles. In the principle of pluaralism there is an awareness that the nation is not single, but composed of many different components. Indonesia is one of the largest pluralist countries in the world. The various plurality that exist in Indonesia consists of diversity of social class, ethnicity, race, gender, religion, language, and age. This fact leads us to a concept that Indonesia is not formed from one tribe, one culture, one religion, one race and group but precisely Indonesia is formed from diversity. Pluralism very appreciated by the Qur'an society consists of various diverse communities and different. With such diversity and distinction emphasized the necessity of each competing in virtue. The Qur'an is very democratic towards religious pluralism as a phenomenon and does not want a clash between clashes. The Qur’an concept of religious pluralism that has been mentioned in Islamic education is in the form of curriculum, teaching method, delivery of subjects from kindergarten to university to achieve the desired goals. This study attempts to reveal its implementation pluralism in Islamic education, in literary approach.

Abstract:
AbstractThis article is concerned with plural marking in two English-lexified creoles, Jamaican Patwa and Tok Pisin. In addition to bare plurals, these creoles possess two overt strategies of plural marking—a free-standing morpheme and the suffix -s. The analytic and inflectional plural markers occur according to different linguistic constraints. It appears that the creoles use two conceptually and typologically different number marking systems — that of set noun languages, based on the opposition between singleton and collective sets, and that of singular object noun languages, based on the opposition between singular and plural individuals. This poses problems for the definition of the lexical semantics of the creole nouns if one assumes the existence of cross-linguistic differences. The analysis proposed here is based on the universalist approach to lexical semantics. Under this approach, individuated and collective (set) interpretations of plurals are encoded in the noun phrase structure.

Abstract:
AbstractThis paper discusses a group of Brazilian Portuguese plurals that end with the nasal diphthong [–ão] in their singular form. When pluralized, these words can take three plural forms: [–ões], [–ãos], or [–ães]. Each of these words has an etymological source that defines which morpheme should be applied to the plural form. However, in some cases, a different plural form is used instead of the etymological one. A set of psycholinguistic experiments was carried out with Brazilian Portuguese speakers. The goal was to analyze whether token or type frequency affects the choice of plural form for these words. The results show an interaction between type and token frequency, in the sense that type frequency serves as the basis for analogy, and token frequency can determine which words will be affected by the variation.

Abstract:
To promote ecosystems conservation, ecosystem services (ES) scholars have encouraged the recognition of importance of ES through their valuation. Although the call of integrating plural values has been a mainstay in much of the ES conceptual literature, in practice monetary valuations have remained the dominant valuation tool. Monetary valuations have been criticized because they may obscure the values people attribute to ES and nature on the basis of ethical, emotional, cultural or social concerns. The main goal of this PhD dissertation is to contribute to the ES valuation practice by assessing how plural values can be recognized and integrated in valuations. By addressing the main goal, this dissertation aims to answer three research questions: How ES valuations can recognize and incorporate multiple human-nature relationships, value notions, and valuation methods? How the socio-cultural context influences the attribution of plural values to ES and nature? How do different valuation methods frame valuation outcomes? I answer these questions under the lens of three pillars of Ecological Economics: value pluralism, value incommensurability and value articulating institutions. First, I define a taxonomy of values and valuation methods that can be integrated in ES valuations. I argue that this taxonomy can help researches to representing people’s multiple and context specific ways of valuing nature. Following this analytical perspective, I then empirically explore the second and third research questions by applying a non-monetary valuation approach based on three methods: i) narratives of the importance of ES and nature, ii) prioritization of environmental motivations and iii) willingness to give up time for ES conservation (WTT). I performed qualitative and quantitative data analyses of 589 questionnaires that were collected in the mid-upper stream of the Otún watershed, Colombian Andes.   The empirical research resulted in four main findings. First, respondents attribute multiple values to the ecosystems including intrinsic, instrumental and relational values, supporting the necessity of integrating value pluralism in ES valuations. Second, I found that rural people, compared with urban, prioritized altruistic and biospheric environmental motivations, were more likely to express intrinsic and relational values, and expressed a higher WTT for ES conservation. I argue that the differentiated valuation of nature by rural people emerges from their material dependence on ES and their strong cultural relations with ecosystems. Third, I found that socio-cultural factors (e.g. place of residence, age, education) and environmental motivations underpin the attribution of values by people. This finding supports the perspective that values are place-based and context specific. Fourth, I found that the different valuation methods frame valuation outcomes in different ways. I claim that non-monetary valuation approaches are suitable to capture the values of rural and indigenous people, usually excluded in monetary valuations, because are not inherent related to income distribution. However, I found that WTT can also restrict other social groups of expressing values such as women, elderly and people with high time restrictions.   In sum, this dissertation contributes to current gaps of ES science-policy interface by i) integrating value pluralism and incommensurability in ES valuation practice, ii) understanding the multiple values people place on ES and nature and iii) further development of non-monetary valuation methods. Through the discussion of the ontological, epistemological and ethical assumptions, ES valuations cannot be further framed as technical tools but as political projects on sustainability. I argue that framing ES and nature valuations from Ecological Economics can contribute to depict a more sustainable and just future.

Abstract:
This dissertation addresses an important empirical regularity that is still not very well understood: the same firm, in a given institutional context, simultaneously relies on different organizational arrangements to govern similar (or identical) transactions. I will follow Bradach & Eccles (1989) and Menard (2013) and treat this phenomenon as \'plural forms\'. The dissertation is composed of four chapters, each of which, providing different but complementary approaches to plural forms and serving as input for the next: the first half of this dissertation remains theoretical, while the second presents distinct qualitative empirical contributions on the theme. In the first chapter, I intend to verify what has been theorized about plural forms and how this field has evolved over time. I am especially concerned with the multiple theoretical explanations about the reasons why firms adopt plural forms, mainly because, to date, there is no consensus on the subject. To this end, I both perform some bibliometric analyses by surveying the ISI Web of Science platform and qualitatively review some significant papers on the subject. I find that the combination of asset specificity and multiple types of uncertainty underlies most of the explanations used over time and highlight that these could be interesting variables for a model predicting plural forms. In the second chapter, I am concerned with explaining the variety of plural form manifestations. However, in order to understand such variety, I build a theoretical model integrating asset specificity and uncertainty to predict plural and non-plural forms. Next, I emphasize that these arrangements are heterogeneous and, to keep my argumentation tractable, I define three categories of plural forms: \'between\' (or the combination of different modalities of organizational arrangements), \'within\' (or the combination oh hybrid arrangements) and \'combo\' ( or the combination of \'between\' and \'within\'). My hypotheses relate each of these three types of plural forms to the different typologies of uncertainty (market, technological and performance assessment) that capture the essential dimensions of the concept. In the next two chapters, I empirically confornt my theretical model and hypotheses with qualitative empirical data concerning the Brazilian Agribusiness sector. In the third chapter, I seek to verify whether the combination of uncertainty and asset specificity predicts the emergence of plural forms. Moreover, I assess whether different levels of uncertainty and of asset specificity (combined) determine the selection of distinct organizational arrangements. To this end, I perform an embedded clinical case study at the Korin company, which produces and commercializes multiple organic products. I am concerned with the procurement of distinct inputs (regular and organic corn, regular soybeans, poultry and antibiotic-free eggs), both with plural and with non-plural forms. I find support for my model and for the idea that different levels of asset specificity and uncertainty push towards the adoption of distinct organizational arrangements. In the final chapter, I intend to empirically confront both my theoretical model (i.e., if asset specificity and uncertainty predict plural or non-plural forms) and my hypotheses (i.e., whether different types of high uncertainty, subject to a certain degree of asset specificity, push towards different types of plural forms). To this end, I survey the procurement of inputs by 24 companies operating in the Brazilian Agribusiness sector and procuring 11 different inputs by means of both plural and non-plural forms. I make use of a 4-point likert scale questionnaire capturing my theoretical variables and perform some qualitative analyses. I find empirical support for my theoretical model and for some of my hypotheses concerning the diversity of plural forms, indicating a path for further empirical analyses.

Abstract:
The terms of debate over the civic purposes of public education in a plurally diverse polity have been centred on the educational significance of engagement with forms of diversity that are both plural and heterogeneous. Central to these discussions have been various challenges, problems and difficulties related to the status, scope and justification of a citizenship education that would educate students so as to recognise and respect one another as free and equal members of a polity that is plural in its cultures, values and traditions. Yet, existing conceptions of citizenship education, I argue, both misrepresent our commitment to civic equality and also fail to treat with equal civic respect the normative significance of individuals' diverse commitments and allegiances. This thesis explores how and why a defensible conception of the civic purposes of public education is to be squared with the fair terms of engagement with diversity and how an alternative way of articulating the civic priorities and the individual interests in educating citizens as fully cooperating members of a polity is to be justified. I maintain that the challenges, problems and difficulties linked to the education of citizens so as to recognise and respect one another as free and equal members of a polity depend in large part on how we define and connect the two principled commitments associated with the liberal version of the rights-based conception of citizenship. In this thesis I outline and defend an egalitarian pluralist account of citizenship education that offers a distinctive response to the theoretical problems and practical difficulties in educating citizens so as to recognise and respect one another as free and equal members of a polity. I articulate a conception of the fair terms of engagement with diversity that would be of the greatest benefit to those students that are the least advantaged.

Abstract:
My dissertation consists of three separate parts. In the first two parts I illustrate various approaches to the notion of mathematical explanation of physical phenomena. I report the criticisms which have been addressed to these approaches and I try to identify some traits shared by them. In particular, in the first part I analyze three approaches (proposed by Philip Kitcher, Bas Van Fraassen and Mark Steiner) that are designed in order to capture the notion via a single model (Winner-Take-All models). In the second part I focus on two approaches (proposed by Christopher Pincock and Robert Batterman) whose aim is to capture the notion of mathematical explanation of physical phenomena without offering a single model but considering that what makes an explanation good can vary from case to case and every case of explanation might necessitate a different model (I call Pluralists those views). In the third part, taking as starting point the views analyzed in part one and part two, I propose my original approach to mathematical explanation of physical phenomena. In particular, I focus on a paradigmatic case of mathematical explanation of physical phenomena (a case of mathematical explanation of physical phenomena recognized as such in the scientific practice) and I propose a pluralist approach to the notion of explanation in terms of « conceptual resources » and « intellectual tools ». Finally, I propose a generalization of my approach and I point to the payoff that the adoption of this approach may have with respect to different topics in philosophy of mathematics and philosophy of science

Vega-Romero, Roman Rafael. "Health care and social justice evaluation : a critical and pluralist approach." Thesis, University of Hull, 1999. http://hydra.hull.ac.uk/resources/hull:7955.

Full text
Abstract:
This thesis proposes a critical, systemic and pluralist approach to evaluating health programs. It examines ways in which efforts to promote equality and plurality are undermined by the application of foundationalist and universal conceptions of social justice and evaluation. This approach is developed within the current debate taking place in the field of Critical Systems Thinking, particularly in the area of the evaluation of social and health programs. It is argued that the potential for equality and plurality in Western societies goes beyond the questions of economic exploitation, military, cultural and political oppression and encompasses the relation between power and knowledge which is inherent in rationalities governing the formulation, the implementation and the operation of health programs. The thesis offers an alternative view of social justice that conciliates equality with plurality, and promotes these values through an evaluative procedure. Using Foucault's philosophy, it is proposed that a nonfoundationalist conception of social justice should be understood in terms of the interactions between three areas of human activity, namely knowledge, morality, and techniques and technologies of government. As regards the possibilities for developing a non-foundational and non-universal evaluative judgement, the thesis assumes a decentered conception of truth in the analysis of society and morality, and acknowledges the role of power as factor of generalisation or diversification of truth. Thus complexes of power-knowledge-morality are at the centre of our evaluative judgements of social justice. In order to encourage equality and plurality, this thesis proposes a rationale for evaluation that includes three main methodological guidelines: a decentered conception of critique regarding the problems and negative effects of a health program (unfolding in reverse); the promotion of subjectivity (autonomy, diversity, solidarity) through self-knowledge and self-regulation of desires (folding); and participation in the reordering of society through an ethical and political process of decision-making (ethical and political unfolding of the situated truths of the subjects). The processes are designed to interrelate and iterate in a complex way. They should include the exploration, choice and combination of methods and/or their parts, and of the strategic positions in scientific and ethical discursivities by thinking critically and acting in a situated and participative way.

Full text
Abstract:
In the past few decades a new approach to ethical principles known as ‘particularism’ has become fashionable among moral philosophers. According to the particularist the progress in the field of ethics, is from monism (the view that there is only one moral principle), through pluralism (the view that there are many), to particularism (the view that there are none). Jonathan Dancy advocates a radical particularist theory: arguing against a variety of univer- salist–pluralist doctrines, he maintains that there are no moral principles; and, even if there are, our ethical decisions are highly context-dependent, made case by case, without the sup- port of such principles. In this paper, drawing on a number of theoretical concepts used in science as well as the philosophy of science, and making use of Fethullah Gülen’s insights, I try to develop a mod- erate universalist–pluralist model in defence of universal ethical values and principles. This model, I argue, is less vulnerable to Dancy’s criticisms and better equipped, in comparison to Dancy’s own model, to deal with particular moral cases. While particularism in ethics leads to relativism and leaves moral agents with no clear guidelines, the model developed here could serve all moral agents, regardless of credal or cultural association and socio-political outlook, in making sound and commendable moral judgements.

Abstract:
One of the features of HPIS Z101 Level2 method, which is to be published as a Japanese Fitness-For-Service (FFS) code for pressure equipment, is to use plural FADs (Fracture Assessment Diagrams) dependent on the materials. Regarding the FFS assessment methods for a crack-like flaw, Partial Safety Factor (PSF) is becoming a major approach in considering the effect of the variance of parameters for the assessment, such as applied load, material properties and detected dimensions of the flaws concerned. To apply this approach to the HPIS code, different PFSs for FADs dependent on materials should be prepared. PSFs with various conditions are calculated for the HPIS code, by the AFOSM (Advanced First-Order Second Moment) method. Comparison with PSFs in other preceding FFS codes, such as API 579-2000 and BS 7910-2005, is being conducted.

Abstract:
Recently, computational design aiding tools resources are undertaken in modern companies, enhancing high quality product definition development. However, accurate digital product descriptions are attained through multiple software applications, each one seeking to solve focused needs. Regardless significant advances, there still remains a substantial computational deficiency in how these systems interact with each other between the several PLC stages. Plural issues with different origin and nature contribute to such state, increasing the research community interest to contribute with solution that minimizes the problem. In particular, one main issue refers to product and process knowledge exchange along PLC stages. According to this scenario, and with market pressure to increase profits and reduce redundancies, an efficient coordination and management of all the activities taking place along the Production Process must be performed. Hence, promising technologies of Product Lifecycle Management are considered strategic to manage capture of product knowledge along its life, from initial conception to retirement. This paper proposes the use of an ontology to be used in a knowledge-based system, giving support to a comprehensive product model to improve integration and data exchange capabilities trough entire PLC. The capture, handle and re-use of knowledge from multiple disciplines during PLC (e.g. design, manufacture or maintenance), extending capabilities of existent product and process models is the promising main benefit of ontologies development.

Abstract:
Dexterous gripper requirements, such as in-hand manipulation is a capability on which human hands are unique at; numerous number of sensors, degree of freedom, adaptability to deal with plurality of object of our hand motivate the researchers to replicate these abilities in robotic grippers. Developments of gripper or grasping devices have been addressed from many perspectives: the use of materials in the gripper synthesis, such as rigid or flexible, the approach of control, use of under-actuated mechanism and so on. Mathematical formulation of grasp modeling, manipulation are also addressed; however, due to the presence non-holonomic motion, it is difficult to replicate the behaviors (achieved in model) in a physical gripper. Also, achieving skills similar to human hand urge to use soft or non rigid material in the gripper design, which is contrary to speed and precision requirements in an industrial gripper. In this dilemma, this paper addresses the problem by developing modular finger approach. The modular finger is built by two well known mechanisms, and exploiting such modular finger in different numbers in a gripper arrangement can solve many rising issues of manipulation.

Abstract:
Hypothetical conditions with deep cooling of coolant are analyzed for serial Reactor Installation (RI) with WWER-1000. The beyond design basis accident (BDBA) scenarios are specially chosen, to reveal the effectiveness of internal properties of nuclear fuel and reactor emergency protection (EP) in conditions when criterial parameters are close to the acceptance criteria or violate them. Various phases of the accident were considered: ATWS (anticipated transients without scram), repeated criticality and ‘cold slug’. Plural failures of Control Rods of Control and Protection System (CRs CPS) were modeled at the operation of EP. The analysis was carried out by the coupled code KORSAR/GP [1–3]. At the first investigation stage the individual conservative variant was considered, from which the expediency of use of BEPU method is revealed. Then at the second investigation stage the analysis of the set of variants in BE approach with uncertainty analysis on the set of statistically varied parameters — neutron-physical, thermo-physical, thermo-hydraulic and hydrodynamic was carried out with PANDA+KORSAR/GP [4] program complex. The advantages of Best Estimate Plus Uncertainty (BEPU) method for the safety margins revealing are demonstrated.

Abstract:
The paper discusses the prospects of integrating the concepts of Digital Earth and Smart Cities to achieve synergy and improve global governance by harmonizing decision supports at different scales. Achieving this goal requires overcoming the scale-dependent differentiation of information systems and thus integration of Smart Cities with their geospatial context. A possible approach can be based on the unique property of spatial and temporal localizations – their invariance for all subjects. Spatial and temporal localizations are fundamentally different from classical "thematic" ontologies, inevitably contradictory and relative. Implementing the concept of "ontological pluralism" will allow the seamless integration of heterogeneous information into a single spatial and temporal volume. The urgency of practical implementation of such systems is demonstrated briefly against the background of the COVID-19 pandemic and the need to find new approaches to the processing and analyzing environmental factors.

Abstract:
This working paper aims to situate our research project within the various debates around resilience. It advocates a historical, cultural and plural approach to understanding how communities develop and share resilient practices in contexts of multiple and protracted crises. A focus on ‘vernacular’ resilience, as embedded in social practices and cultural repertoires, is important since conventional approaches to resilience seem to have overlooked how locally embedded forms of resilience are socially constructed historically. Our approach results from a combination of two observations. Firstly, conventional approaches to resilience in development, humanitarian and peace studies carry the limitations of their own epistemic assumptions – notably the fact that they have generic conceptions of what constitutes resilience. Secondly, these approaches are often ahistorical and neglect the temporal and intergenerational dimensions of repertoires of resilience. In addition to observable social practices, culture and history are crucial in understanding the ways in which vernacular and networked knowledge operates.

Abstract:
The purpose of this report is to map, conceptually and empirically, the diverse elements that constitute rightwing extremism. The aim is to offer readers a guide to this complexity and an appreciation for the numerous ideas, actors, and outcomes associated with RWE. The report is divided into two parts. The first focuses on the conceptual issues associated with RWE while the second explores how this complexity plays out in practice by examining various ways in which RWE has framed and reacted to Islam. This case study was selected as it illustrates the intricacies of varied and evolving RWE responses and because Islam and Muslims are often a major target of RWE violence and hostility. In Part 1 we caution against describing RWE as a single movement or an ideology given that those associated with RWE, overall, lack the common bonds that bind members of a movement together. We explore the substance of this complexity and summarize the key features on a schema focusing on actors, ideas, and outcomes associated with RWE. In Part 2 we illustrate, with reference to this conceptual complexity, how a plethora of mainly European RWE approaches to Islam underscores the pluralism of ideas and interpretations within RWE. This ideological plurality steers its proponents in divergent directions and results in varied outcomes. Not only do right-wing extremists, including those inspired by white supremacism, nationalism, and cultural nativism, adopt divergent positions on the issue, their approach ranges widely from co-optation and inspiration to non-engagement and outright hostility. These divergent positions, in turn, differ depending on local contexts, frames of reference, core beliefs, and individuals’ interpretations of each of these factors. This heterogeneity has important implications for practitioners, policymakers and those who study RWE movements. Importantly, perceptions of threat are not constant or consistent across RWE movements. Varied threat perceptions can, in turn, produce different types of violence and extremism, with a diverse and inconsistent list of potential targets for violent acts, potential allies, and perceived constituents among RWE actors.

Abstract:
The atrocities committed by the Islamic State (IS) between 2014 and 2017 left deep scars on the Nineveh Plains in northern Iraq. IS deliberately targeted ethnic and religious communities with the aim of erasing the traces of diversity, pluralism and coexistence that have long characterized the region. To prevent people from living as Assyrians, Chaldeans, Kaka’i, Shabaks, Syriacs, Turkmen and Yazidis, IS destroyed sites of cultural and religious significance to these communities and devastated their livelihoods, including their crop and livestock farming activities. Using a people-centered approach, this SIPRI Research Policy Paper stresses the need for a holistic approach to post-conflict reconstruction in the Nineveh Plains that not only focuses on rebuilding the physical environment and economic structures, but also pays adequate attention to restoring the ability of communities to engage in cultural and religious practices, and to mending social and intercommunity relations. The paper highlights the interconnectedness of physical environments, economic structures, cultural practices and social dynamics. It stresses the need to address the impacts of the IS occupation while taking into account other pressing challenges such as climate change and water scarcity.

Abstract:
Use of the digital technologies is new and very productive approach for balance of different data. It is very important for balance of supply and demand and for increase of competitiveness of products. Various types of digital models were developed as a result of scientific research, they found reflection in article. Digital models for the description of the list of the sequences of steps and operations of various stages and process in general allow to install system of interrelations between operations and steps and to reach necessary log-ic, increase of effectiveness of any process. Object-relational models for establishment of communications between data of various blocks of databases and functional models of the choice of strategy of data balance form analytical base for justification of the choice of the direction of transformation of data. Models of a combination of a plurality of various data of the offer of products in the form of matrixes of multi-purpose optimization have double effect, because they allow not only to develop various options of data combina-tion, taking into account opportunities of change of location of products over the markets and temporary phases, but also to estimate aggregate useful effect from products. These models together with models of comparison of various options and the choice of optimal solutions allow to generate compatible strategic and current programs of the offer of products as a plurality of the output data balanced with each other and with data of demand. It is providing the best synergetic result. The developed methodology of creation of system of the interconnected digital models for transformation of data and generation of the output data of the situational-strategic program of the offer of products is a cornerstone of formation of new digital econ-omy – of economy of balanced data.

Rudyk, Myroslava. JOURNALISM STANDARDS AND BLOGGING: PROFESSIONAL PRINCIPLES OF WORKING WITH INFORMATION IN THE BLOGOSPHERE. Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, February 2022. http://dx.doi.org/10.30970/vjo.2022.51.11398.

Abstract:
The article is devoted to the study of journalistic standards in the blogosphere, i.e. the extent to which bloggers adhere to professional principles in their work with information. The popularity of the blogosphere has spread not only to journalists but also to influential people, as well as amateur bloggers, who have created their own platforms to distribute useful or entertaining content. However, not all bloggers work on a professional basis, which creates many opportunities to spread misinformation and manipulate consciousness. Standard approaches to working with information, which have historically been developed in journalism, help to avoid hassles, create professional principles, which ultimately distinguishes journalism from amateur media. In total, researchers distinguish 6 standards of journalism: accuracy, promptness, reliability, completeness of information, the balance of opinions, separation of facts from comments. In the modern world, the approach to defining the concept of “media” has changed significantly. At one time, only professional communicators and traditional media could apply for this status. However, with the development of democratic processes, pluralism of opinion, mass internetization, globalization, and the spread of information beyond the borders of a particular country or locality, alternative sources of information began to appear. Domestic processes of media privatization and oligarchization also contributed to this, when the media became not only repeaters of information, but also a component of the media business and big politics, thus losing the trust of the audience. That is why the popularity of bloggers as independent communicators, opinion leaders, experts in various fields has grown. This was facilitated by the rapid development of information technology, the ability to quickly transmit information of any content, as well as no need for professional training in the field of media. The popularity of the blogosphere is due to the fact that with the new role of a blogger, everyone is given the opportunity to communicate publicly through the use of previously unknown and inaccessible tools. As for professional standards of working with information, bloggers mostly lack the reliability of the information, the balance of opinions and judgments, the separation of facts from comments. And the subjective author’s position is an advantage, giving the blogger an individual way of self-expression.
