Faisant appel à la biologie, à la biochimie, à la biophysique et à nombre de technologies, traditionnelles en fermentation, de pointe en génie génétique, elles interdisent l'approche en domaine, et défendent les prétentions à l'univocité. Avant toute tentative de normalisation, une connaissance approfondie des pratiques langagières est indispensable. La thèse a privilégié deux types de discours des biotechnologies : le discours pédagogique et le discours d'interface entre le laboratoire et la production
Biotechnology is a good ground to observe the meeting of technical and scientific vocabularies of various subject matters, and of engineering sciences. It needs biology, biochemistry, biophysics, and many technologies, some of them partly traditional, like fermentation, some others entirely new, like genetic engineering. In the case of biotechnology, an approach by "domains" is unefficient, and the theory of univocity is not relevant. Before any try at normalization, a perfect knowledge of the spoken realities and, practices is unavoidable. Abstract:
La richesse des gros logiciels a pour contrepartie l'allongement du temps d'apprentissage et l'utilisation partielle des possibilites offertes, par des utilisateurs parfois mal a l'aise devant l'outil informatique. Pour remedier a ces problemes, nous proposons de construire des interfaces auto-adaptatives, c'est a dire capables de s'adapter a chaque utilisateur, et a l'evolution d'un utilisateur donne. Afin de determiner les besoins en matiere d'adaptation, nous avons observe et interviewe les utilisateurs de plusieurs logiciels. Nous avons identifie, a partir des donnees collectees, un certain nombre de meta-connaissances expliquant les comportements des utilisateurs, independamment du contenu de leurs connaissances. Nous en avons deduit des regles d'adaptation de l'interface et de l'aide a l'utilisateur. Ces regles utilisent des informations directement issues de l'enregistrement des actions de l'utilisateur, sans passer par un modele prescriptif de ce dernier. Les adaptations peuvent s'effectuer a trois niveaux que nous avons identifies: un niveau syntaxique pour l'adaptation de l'aspect physique de l'interface aux gouts de l'utilisateur et l'adaptation du guidage a son niveau d'experience, qui peut varier d'une commande a l'autre ; un niveau heuristique pour aider l'utilisateur a accomplir sa tache plus vite, par l'adaptation des valeurs par defaut et la creation de macro-commandes ; un niveau semantique pour l'adaptation de l'aide a l'utilisateur, et ulterieurement des explications (on ne pourra plus ici se contenter d'un modele descriptif). Nous avons au cours de ce travail ete amenes a nous interesser a la generation automatique d'interfaces, et avons implemente un generateur d'interfaces adaptatives, travaillant sur des specifications de haut niveau d'abstraction

Abstract:
Cette analyse descriptive est basée sur un corpus représentant un échantillon de français le plus large et le plus diversifié possible. Deux critères ont été retenus pour discriminer les séquences relevant de l’ellipse : il s’agit de constructions non canoniques (vis à vis du canon posé par l’Approche pronominale) et l’interprétation de ces constructions ne s’appuie pas strictement sur le matériel linguistique exprimé. Nous avons ainsi dégagé trois grands groupes de séquences : 1) des constructions nominales ou verbales coordonnées de forme non canoniques : "La plage est déserte et pleure sous juillet. " 2) des constructions à têtes lexicales non spécifiées : "Au moins quand il me trompe, je sais avec qui !" 3) les cas appelés classiquement « gapping » : "J'affirme que Balzac attire les cuistres autant que le miel les mouches". Au niveau syntaxique, le statut non canonique de ces séquences doit être remis en cause car elles se comportent syntaxiquement comme des séquences canoniques et qu’elles constituent une ressource banale pour les locuteurs. Toutefois on peut noter des différences dans la manière dont les locuteurs les emploient puisque le contexte d’énonciation influence l’apparition de telle ou telle forme.  Ainsi, il a été mis en lumière des phénomènes de grammaire première et grammaire seconde. En outre, nous avons pu révéler l’importance des emplois idiomatiques de ces structures. Pour ce qui est de l’interprétation, elle s’appuie toujours sur un effet de balancier entre la construction « déficitaire » et un élément ou un faisceau d’élément dans le contexte, désigné comme Pilote. Le pilote peut être syntaxique ou sémantique selon que les éléments qui le constituent sont du matériel linguistique exprimé ou pas. Au terme de ce travail, il semble qu’il soit possible de se dispenser d'un recours à l'ellipse comme effacement de matériel syntaxique pour décrire des structures qui apparaissent non canoniques, essentiellement en ce qu'elles ne respectent pas l'axiome de la régularité de l'interface sémantique-syntaxe. En renonçant à cet axiome, on peut admettre que certains éléments d'interprétation d'un énoncé ne sont pas fournis par les mots présents dans cet énoncé, mais par des éléments du contexte dans lequel il a été émis.

La profession infirmière en France a vécu des changements récents en termes de recherche et de formation. Dans notre pays, la discipline infirmière est en cours d'institutionnalisation, pourtant il existe déjà des infirmières françaises mettant en ¿uvre des projets de recherche dans une relative autarcie. Dans le contexte actuel professionnel, disciplinaire et intellectuel, comment la recherche infirmière française peut-elle à la fois intégrer la sphère internationale et développer son programme singulier? Il est ambitionné de mettre en lumière ce à quoi les infirmières françaises tiennent, leurs " valeurs " scientifiques. Le programme de recherche Thot, programme séquentiel multi-méthodes, lancé en 2010, étudie le développement de la capacité de recherche infirmière en France. L'étude Thot 1 est une analyse descriptive transversale de l'activité scientifique infirmière à partir du Programme Hospitalier de Recherche Infirmière 2010 et 2011. L'étude Thot 2 est une ethnographie des pratiques de recherche infirmière mises en ¿uvre, combinées à la pratique clinique. Thot 3 est une étude phénoménographique sur les conceptions de la recherche, acquises pendant la formation, par des infirmières titulaires d'un doctorat, en France et en Suède. Les résultats des trois études ont été triangulés au regard de la définition de la science comme pratique socio-culturelle et sept valeurs sont proposées : réflexivité, formation dédiée, cohérence, diversité, confiance, transmission et transformation. Ce programme, déployé et mis en ¿uvre lors d'une des étapes charnières, contribue à l'intégration, dans le futur, des valeurs des infirmières françaises, comme des valeurs scientifiques
Nursing research and education recently changed in France. In our country, the nursing discipline is currently transforming toward an academic institutionalisation. European development of nursing research is heterogeneous, but the paths of progress seem similar if four sequential stages. Nursing research is characterized by its diversity. However, French nurses implement research projects, in a relative seclusion. In the current professional, disciplinary and intellectual French nursing context, how can nursing research integrate both the international arena and develop its own unique programme? This thesis further aspires to highlight French nurses? scientific values and provide guidelines for nursing research and education in France. The research programme Thot, a multi-method programme, was launched in 2010 to study the development of French nursing research capacity. Thot 1 study was a descriptive cross-sectional analysis of the Hospital Nursing Research Programme 2010 and 2011 scientific activity. Thot 2 study was an ethnography of nursing research practices, combined with clinical practice. Thot 3 was a phenomenographic study of research concepts acquired during a doctoral apprenticeship in France and Sweden. Seven values were derived from the integration of the results of the three studies: reflexivity, dedicated education, coherence, diversity, confidence, transmission and transformation. We hope that this programme, deployed and implemented concurrently to one of the stage of development of nursing in France, will participate in the future integration of the values of French nurses as scientific values

Cette thèse se donne pour objectif d’étudier les apories théoriques et épistémologiques liées à la synonymie. Pour l’essentiel, ces problèmes se concentrent dans la faiblesse théorique de la notion par rapport au succès empirique dont elle jouit dans l’usage et les dictionnaires. Cette faiblesse théorique prend racine dans l’histoire de la notion : la synonymie a été définie en premier lieu par Aristote et a subi de nombreuses transformations au cours des siècles. La définition scientifique de la synonymie s’est constituée à partir de la synonymie distinctive des synonymistes. Les notions fondatrices de la linguistique moderne ont été appliquées à la synonymie alors qu’elle a été élaborée avant leur conception. La synonymie se plie mal aux cadres théoriques de la linguistique moderne d’où des apories. L’approche distinctive centre l’étude de la synonymie sur les différences de sens alors qu’elle repose sur des équivalences sémantiques approchées. L’histoire de la notion aide à éclairer les apories et à s’en distancier pour recentrer la notion sur les équivalences puisqu’elles rendent possibles la synonymie et sur le discours qui est le lieu de l’émergence du sens. Cela rompt avec la synonymie réduite à la recherche de différences de sens entre items lexicaux synonymes. Une approche onomasiologique et textuelle est mise en place pour proposer un nouveau cadre d’étude de la synonymie. Cette approche se manifeste par la détection de réseaux lexicaux témoignant de relations d’équivalence qui émergent en contexte. Pour tester cette approche, les réseaux lexicaux du vocabulaire du vice et de la vertu sont étudiés dans des textes du XVIIe siècle traitant de thèmes moraux
This thesis studies theoretical and epistemological aporia of synonymy. These problems are concentrated in the theoretical weakness of synonymy in comparison with its empirical success both in usage and dictionaries. This theoretical weakness originates in the history of the notion: at first, synonymy had been defined by Aristoteles and was afterwards subjected to transformations during the following centuries. With the beginning of modern linguistics, scientific definition of synonymy had been built from the distinctive synonymy of French synonymists. The fundamental notions of modern linguistics, such as the opposition between language and discourse, had been applied to synonymy whereas it had been elaborated before their conception. Synonymy can hardly be submitted to modern linguistics theoretical frameworks without generating theoretical difficulties. The distinctive approach centers the study of synonymy on semantic differences whereas synonymy is based on approximate semantic equivalence. History of synonymy sheds light on aporia and helps to distance from it and to center the notion on the semantic equivalence because they make synonymy possible and on discourse because that is where sense emerges. This breaks off with the synonymy which is solely based on semantic differences between synonymic lexical items. An onomasiological and textual approach is set up to propose a new scientific framework to synonymy: this approach consists in the detection of lexical networks showing semantic relations appearing in context. To test this approach, lexical networks of vice and virtue vocabulary are studied in seventeenth century French texts treating moral themes

Abstract:
La présente recherche nous a permis de concevoir, de développer et d’évaluer un système d’apprentissage multimédia interactif. Le système a été bâti pour faciliter l’apprentissage de la géométrie descriptive, domaine dans lequel les étudiants ont des difficultés de visualisation spatiale. L’approche pédagogique privilégiée a été le constructivisme. Les activités et les exercices ont été créés de façon à ce que l’étudiant puisse manipuler des images pour construire ses concepts. Le système fonctionne sur Internet et invite l’étudiant à découvrir, à jouer, à résoudre des énigmes, à revoir ses erreurs. Tout ce que l’étudiant fait est enregistré sur le serveur, ce qui permet au professeur de faire un diagnostic et une évaluation de l’étudiant. Le système a été évalué par un groupe d’étudiants, par des experts en géométrie descriptive et en technologie éducative. Un modèle d’analyse qualitative a été adopté pour permettre le recueil et l’analyse des données générées par ces individus. Les résultats obtenus indiquent que le but de la recherche a été atteint.

Abstract:
Cette thèse, effectuée au sein de l'équipe RFIA (Reconnaissance des Formes et Intelligence Artificielle) du LORIA, présente le résultat de notre travail sur l'étude des interactions et de leur réorganisation pour la construction de systèmes multi-agents. Notre travail s'est articulé autour de deux phases complémentaires qui correspondent à la proposition d'un modèle de réorganisation des intéractions et la définition d'un formalisme de description de systèmes. Ce formalisme de description est évidemment couplé à des mécanismes permettant une opérationnalisation des systèmes décrits. La première partie présente les différents concepts relatifs aux systèmes multi-agents. Nous y montrons la diversité des concepts (agents, interaction et organisation) et la nécessité de leur formalisation à differents niveaux de description (locale, semi-globale et globale). Une description de système est considérée comme l'agrégation de ces niveaux de description. La deuxième partie propose un modèle pour la formalisation de description de système en prenant en compte ces concepts, ainsi que les mécanismes permettant d'opérationnaliser cette description. Nous définissons ainsi un cadre de description de systèmes multi-agents permettant la définition de société d'agents hétérogènes et son opérationnalisation sous la forme d'un ensemble d'agents autonomes. Ce cadre de description met l'accent sur la modularité et la réutilisation des concepts décrits tout en proposant un modèle de réorganisation pour la gestion des intéractions entre des agents autonomes. Ce modèle de réorganisation se fonde sur une adaptation locale des croyances de chaque agent. Cette adaptation utilise une notion de préférence associée à des schémas d'interaction. Les schémas expriment la réalisation des interactions ainsi que l'évaluation du bénéfice lié à leurs utilisations, ce qui permet éventuellement de modifier la préférence qui caractérise chacun de ces schémas. La troisième partie débute par une présentation des expérimentations préliminaires que nous avons éffectuées à partir de GTMAS sur le modèle de réorganisation. Ces expérimentations montrent ainsi les propriétés d'adaptation qu'offre notre modèle à des systèmes multi-agents. Nous présentons ensuite une plate-forme, basée sur notre approche descriptive et opérationnelle pour la construction de systèmes, JAVAMA. Nous illustrons l'utilisation de cette plate-forme sur deux exemples à partir desquels nous proposons une évaluation de la plate-forme par rapport à d'autres outils existant et envisageons diverses améliorations.

Descriptive statistics refer to a basic set of measures that can be derived from data to characterize those data. They make statements about the data and not the population from which the data are derived, and this is what distinguishes them from inferential statistics. They are often an entry point in research for generating ideas about your data but are also important for helping to decide what kinds of inferential statistics your research project should use. All descriptive statistics need care, not only because they may not be representative of the population they are describing, but also because statistics have considerable power in environmental management.

Abstract:
The classical approach for repairing a Description Logic ontology O in the sense of removing an unwanted consequence α is to delete a minimal number of axioms from O such that the resulting ontology O´ does not have the consequence α. However, the complete deletion of axioms may be too rough, in the sense that it may also remove consequences that are actually wanted. To alleviate this problem, we propose a more gentle way of repair in which axioms are not necessarily deleted, but only weakened. On the one hand, we investigate general properties of this gentle repair method. On the other hand, we propose and analyze concrete approaches for weakening axioms expressed in the Description Logic EL.

Action formalisms based on description logics (DLs) have recently been introduced as decidable fragments of well-established action theories such as the Situation Calculus and the Fluent Calculus. However, existing DL action formalisms fail to include general TBoxes, which are the standard tool for formalising ontologies in modern description logics. We define a DL action formalism that admits general TBoxes, propose an approach to addressing the ramification problem that is introduced in this way, and perform a detailed investigation of the decidability and computational complexity of reasoning in our formalism.
