This study examines how fear affects firefighting operations. Initially, a Delphi study narrowed down 554 identified phobias to eight significant fears expected to affect firefighters: claustrophobia, animal phobia, acrophobia, aquaphobia, hemophobia, trypanophobia, deliriophobia, and necrophobia. We conducted a nationwide survey among firefighters, analyzing 1,098 responses through multiple regression analysis. A thin coating of zirconium oxide (ZrO2) is placed on outdoor high-voltage insulators to minimize air fouling. ZrO2 thin film coatings were deposited on glass substrates using a DC sputtering (reactive magnetron) technique with sputtering pressures ranging from 5 to 25 mTorr.
