Face à l’augmentation croissante des pathologies dites modernes (cancer, diabète, etc. ), l’accès à une information médicale de qualité est devenu un enjeu majeur de santé publique dans tous les pays. Or on peut admettre que les pratiques linguistiques liées à la construction des savoirs, à leur transmission et leur appropriation passent par l’acquisition et la mise en application des terminologies. Cette thèse propose d’aborder la question de la vulgarisation de la terminologie médicale au Koweït. Nous nous intéressons principalement à la pathologie du diabète. Après avoir rappelé le contexte de cette recherche, nous posons la problématique efficiente doit prendre en considération la vulgarisation. Dans une approche socioterminologie, nous analysons les données terminologiques issues d’ouvrages de vulgarisation et recueillies auprès des acteurs médicaux. Les résultats de cette recherche contribueront à une meilleure prise en compte des questions liées à la vulgarisation de la terminologie médicale au Koweït<br>With growing increase of modern diseases (such as cancer, diabetes, etc. ), access to understandable health information has become a major concern and a public health issue in all countries. We can therefore admit that language related to the development of knowledge, its transmission and appropriation are definitely needed for the implementation of terminology. This theses proposes to address the issue of popularization of medical terminology in Kuwait. We are primarily focus on the pathology of diabetes. After recalling the context of the research, we tackle the main issue of the Arabization of sciences. From a terminological point of view, we stress the paramount importance of popularization in the framework of terminological policy. With socioterminological tools, we analyze terminological data picked from medical popularization books, but also collected from actors. Our results aime at making proposals and paving ways for a better popularization of medical terminology in Kuwait

In her novel Arabian Jazz, Diana Abu-Jaber attempts to explore the Arab American identity as something new; as an identity that exists related to, but ultimately separate from, the Arab and American identities from which it was originally created. This thesis discusses the emergence of the depiction of the Arab American female identity in the novel, examining how the characters explore issues of race, class, imperialism, and sex within both the Arab and the American cultures as those issues shape female identity. The thesis also presents a rhetorical analysis of the speeches that allow the characters a voice with respect to how identity is shaped and reshaped throughout the novel.

Cette thèse poursuit une étude de l’ontologie de Dietrich de Freiberg, à la lumière du débat arabo-latine autour de la « distinction réelle » entre l’être et l’essence. L’enjeu principal est de montrer comment la doctrine du maître allemand, défendant vigoureusement les principes de l’ontologie aristotélico-averroïste, s’offre comme alternative aux doctrines ancrées sur la thèse de la distinction réelle de la fin du XIIIème siècle, à l’Université de Paris. La première partie analyse le contexte historique et doctrinal dans lequel s’inscrit la réflexion de Dietrich : d’abord, la critique averroïste à la conception « avicennienne » de l’étant aristotélicien, et ensuite, le premier jalon de la dispute latine, constitué par la critique de Siger de Brabant aux défenseurs de la distinction réelle (parmi eux, Thomas d’Aquin). La deuxième partie étudie, en premier lieu, un des arguments centraux dans la discussion, à savoir, l’argument de l’« intellectus essentiae », et s’occupe ensuite de l’examen de son refus de la part de Dietrich. Finalement, la troisième partie considère l’ontologie de Dietrich dans ses traits fondamentaux, à la lumière de sa vision critique envers les thèses centrales des défenseurs de la distinction réelle<br>This thesis pursues a study of Dietrich of Freiberg’s ontology, in the light of the Arabian-Latin debate about “real distinction” between existence and essence. The main concern is to show how the doctrine of the german master, defending strongly the principles of the Aristotelian-Averroïst ontology, offers itself as an alternative to the doctrines fixed on the thesis of real distinction at the end of the XIIIth century, at the University of Paris. The first part analyzes the historic and doctrinal background in which the reflection of Dietrich is placed: first, Averroes’ criticism to Avicenna’s conception of Aristotelian being, and then, the first milestone of the Latin quarrel, constituted by Siger’s criticism to the defenders of the real distinction (among them, Thomas Aquinas). The second part examines, first of all, one of the central arguments in the discussion, namely, the “intellectus essentiae” argument, and then deals with the examination of Dietrich’s refusal of it. Finally, the third part considers the ontology of Dietrich in its fundamental features, in the light of its critical vision regarding the main theses of the defenders of real distinction

Cette thèse traite de la question de la traduction arabe du Roman d’Alexandre du Pseudo-Callisthène. Le passage du grec à l’arabe est décrit à travers l’examen philologique des différentes recensions grecques (α, β (L, λ), ε, γ) ainsi que de nombreuses sources arabes. Le Roman d’Alexandre présente un cas spécifique dans le domaine des Graeco-Arabica. A côté de la transmission écrite, que ce soit sous forme d’une traduction ou d’une réélaboration thématique, un rôle particulier doit être accordé à la transmission orale basée sur la Sourate de la Caverne du Coran. Non seulement une recension grecque du Roman d’Alexandre s’est manifestée dans les sources arabes, mais plusieurs (α, β, ε, γ), parmi lesquelles la recension β occupe une place importante dans l’Orient. Le but consiste à présenter un aperçu des chapitres du Roman qui ont fait l’objet d’une réception orientale afin de fournir une contribution à la survie de l’antiquité grecque dans l’Islam<br>This thesis deals with the issue of the Arabic translation of the Greek Alexander Romance by Pseudo-Callisthenes. By a philological study of the various Greek recensions (α, β (L, λ), ε, γ) as well as numerous Arabic sources it will be shown how the Alexander Romance, as a special example of the Graeco-Arabic translation movement, was rendered into Arabic. Apart from the written tradition, either in the form of a translation from the Greek or a paraphrase, the oral tradition based on Surah 18 of the Quran plays a central role. The influence of not just one but several recensions (α, β, ε, γ) of the Greek Alexander Romance can be traced in various Arabic sources. Especially the Byzantine β-recension must have played an important part in the East. The aim of the dissertation is to give a detailed overview of those chapters of the Alexander Romance which have been received in the Orient in order to illustrate how ancient Greek literature made its way into the Islamic world

La Risālat al-Tuffāḥa, connue également sous le titre latin de Liber de Pomo, est un dialogue inspiré du Phédon de Platon, qui met en scène un Aristote mourant, que le parfum d'une pomme maintient en vie. Le philosophe répond aux questions de ses disciples, avides de recueillir le sens ultime de son enseignement ; il les enjoint de ne pas craindre la mort et de choisir la philosophie, seule voie qui mène au salut. Aujourd'hui tombée dans l'oubli, cette œuvre fut pourtant l'une des plus populaires du Moyen Âge. Célèbre dès le Xe siècle dans sa version arabe, elle fut traduite en persan, en hébreu et en latin et joua un rôle important dans la construction de la figure médiévale du philosophe. Son origine est toutefois assez obscure : au vu du cadre qu'elle met en scène, on a pu émettre l'hypothèse qu'elle constituait la traduction d'une œuvre grecque antique. Or sa version arabe, source des traductions ultérieures n'a encore jamais été étudiée de manière détaillée. Ce travail propose ainsi une édition critique du texte arabe, assortie d'une traduction, et une étude qui tente de répondre à la question des origines de cette œuvre et explore sa riche postérité arabo-persane<br>The Risālat al-Tuffāḥa, also known under the Latin title of Liber de Pomo, is a dialogue inspired by Plato's Phaedo, which features a dying Aristotle who manages to stay alive by smelling the scent of an apple. The philosopher answers his disciples' questions, as they are eager to learn the ultimate meaning of his teaching. He urges them to not fear death and to choose philosophy, the only path that leads to salvation. Nowadays forgotten, this text was however amongst the most popular works during the Middle Age. Famous in its Arabic version as early as the tenth century, it was then translated into Persian, Hebrew and Latin. It played a major role in the building of the medieval image of the philosopher. Its origin is however rather obscure: giving the settings that it presents, it has been suggested that this might be the translation of an ancient Greek work. Despite this hypothesis, the starting point of every research about the origin of this text still has to be the study of the Arabic version, as it is the text that has been used for the later translations. But this had, until now, never been thoroughly studied. Hence this work, that contains a critical edition of the Arabic text, a translation in French and a study that attempts to answer the question of the origins of this work and explores its rich Arabo-Persian reception

Notre recherche interroge la genèse du récit dans la littérature arabe de deux points de vue : le rôle joué par la littérature religieuse dans cette genèse et le développement progressif de la culture de l’écrit durant les deux premiers siècles de l’Islam. Au contraire des thèses qui considèrent le récit comme un genre étranger à la littérature arabe classique, notre corpus, construit sur des textes narratifs bien connus des islamologues mais souvent négligés par les chercheurs littéraires, nous a conduit à affirmer qu’une narrativité arabe naquit dans une tradition orale archaïque et que les textes à caractère religieux des premiers siècles de l’Islam constituent un maillon essentiel dans la formation de la tradition narrative arabe.L’analyse est fondé sur l'étude comparative de deux versions d’un même récit religieux, l’une tirée du Coran(Mūsā avec le Serviteur de Dieu, XVIII : 60-82), datant du premier quart du VIIe siècle, l’autre du commentaire de Muqātil b. Sulaymān, au milieu VIIIe siècle. Il est en effet possible de définir une narrativité archaïque arabe ancrée dans l’oralité telle qu'illustrée dans la première version du récit, alors que la seconde version, de par son appartenance à un genre écrit, le commentaire, met en évidence un certain détachement par rapport aux structures de la communication orale. Dès lors, la période séparant ces deux repères chronologiques peut être envisagée comme une phase de mutation, culturelle et esthétique, laquelle ouvre à une étude du développement de l’usage de l’écriture dans un contexte oral ainsi que de l’impact de cette évolution culturelle sur la manière de concevoir le récit<br>Our research examines story’s genesis in the Arabic literature from two points of view: the role played by religious literature in this genesis and the progressive development of the written culture during the first two centuries of Islam. Unlike thesis which consider narrative as an extraneous genre to Arabic literature, our corpus, based on narrative texts well known by Islamic studies yet often neglected by literature’s researchers, led us to affirm that an Arabic narrativity was born in an archaic oral tradition and that earliest centuries’ texts with religious character represent an essential link in the configuration of the Arabic narrative tradition.The analysis is founded on a comparative study of two versions of the same religious text, one from The Qur’an (Mūsā and the Servant of God, XVIII : 60-82), dating back to the first quarter of the 7th century, and the other from the commentary of Muqātil b. Sulaymān in the middle of the 8th century. It is indeed possible to define an Arabic archaic narrativity rooted in the orality that we can in the first version of the story. Meanwhile the second version, giving the fact that it belongs to a written genre, the commentary, highlights a certain detachment from the oral communication’s structures. Therefore, the period between these two chronological references could be seen as a shifting stage, both cultural and aesthetic. This shifting stage opens the way for a study concerning the development of the writing’s practice in an oral context and as well the impact of this cultural evolution on the conception of story

Cette recherche s’inscrit dans une double démarche : restitution d’une cohérence globale à l’œuvre d’Ibn Qutayba et essai de définition de la littérature d’adab. Elle s’articule autour de la fonction auteur dans les 'Uyºn al-AÏbær, et dans ce type de textes, ainsi que de la fonction rhétorique de cet ouvrage qui l’apparente à un recueil d’exempla de l’Occident médiéval. La parenté des 'Uyºn al-AÏbær avec le genre de l’encyclopédie y est également abordée. Enrichie d’un éclairage comparatiste apporté par la littérature médiévale occidentale, la confrontation critique de ce texte avec les interprétations qui en ont été données est fondée sur l’analyse rhétorique et stylistique du prologue des 'Uyºn al-AÏbær, ainsi que sur la lecture transversale des introductions des trois ouvrages fondamentaux d’adab d’Ibn Qutayba, que sont l’Adab al-Kætib, les 'Uyºn al-AÏbær et les Ma'ærif. La traduction annotée des deux dernières citées accompagne cette recherche<br>The objectives of this thesis were twofold : the first was to restore to the work of Ibn Qutayba its overall coherence ; with this primary objective in view, it was necessary to elucidate its literary context : adab literature.The analysis is conducted firstly in terms of the author-function both in the 'Uyûn al-Akhbâr and in texts similar to it, and secondly in terms of the rhetorical function wich allies it with the Medieval exempla collections of the Western tradition. Drawing on rhetorical and stylistic analysis of the Prologue of the 'Uyûn al-Akhbâr, as well as on a transversal reading of the introductions to the three primary adab works : the Adab al-Kâtib, the 'Uyûn al-Akhbâr and the Ma'ârif of Ibn Qutayba, it was possible to confront the original with critical interpretations of the work. Annotated translations of the introductions to two of these three sister works (the 'Uyûn al-Akhbâr and the Ma'ârif) accompany this study

La thèse présente le nationalisme linguistique au Liban gravitant autour d'un poète et politicien libanais, Sa'Ìd 'Aql (né en 1912) et la politique linguistique, liée à l'idée de langue libanaise, exprimée dans son organe politique, la revue Lebnaan" en nouvel alphabet (no 372-639, période: 03. 1983 - 10. 1988). El-sawra l-luoawiyye l-muzdawie (la double révolution linguistique) de 'Aql envisage la réduction de la diglossie (non bilinguisme) par la reconnaissance de la langue vernaculaire comme langue nationale et langue officielle du Liban, ainsi que le remplacement de la graphie arabe par un nouvel alphabet se distinguant considérablement des systèmes de translittération. L'absence des tentatives de la standardisation du libanais prouve que l'idée de langue libanaise est un phénomène purement idéologique. La thèse présente l'analyse critique de notation du corpus dans le cadre de la dialectologie arabe. Les procédés argotiques (langage enfantin, hybridation avec un rôle important du turc, régionalismes, renvoi à un référent sexuel, vulgarismes, considérés par le poète comme non recevables par la norme du libanais littéraire) visent à discréditer des adversaires politiques (les Palestiniens, certains politiciens libanais et étrangers). La purification du lexique s'inscrit dans le cadre du " phénicianisme " (supériorité supposée de la culture phénicienne sur les civilisations: européenne et arabe) et du " libanisme " tentant de séparer le Liban du monde arabe. L'intellectualisation du libanais (enrichissement de la terminologie des sciences humaines) s'effectue surtout par des emprunts (arabe standard compris) et avec un rôle connotatif du français. La modernisation du libanais (ajustement aux sommations contemporaines, imposées par l'essor technologique) se caractérise par une fluctuation des calques et par l'adaptation des emprunts aux systèmes: phonologique et morphologique du libanais<br>The doctoral thesis analyses the idea of the Lebanese language in the trunk of the linguistic nationalism by the Lebanese poet and politician, Sa'Ìd 'Aql. Its "double language revolution" assumes the reduction of diglossia in Lebanon by making the Lebanese dialect a national and an official language of Lebanon and replacing the Arabic alphabet with a new one, created by the poet and based on the Latin alphabet. The most important part of the corpus in the new alphabet was Sa'Ìd 'Aql's political instrument, weekly "Lebnaan", published in the new alphabet from 1983 to 1988. The thesis analyzes the system of notation in the new alphabet in the trunk of the Arabic dialectology. It describes the language planning which intends to compensate the lacking prestige of Lebanese vernacular towards the standard Arabic by the enrichment of the terminology of the human sciences (the intellectualization of the "Lebanese language" by borrowings, neologisms, with a special role of French as a connotative language). The expressive language of "Lebnaan" has the common points with a jargon (baby talk, hybridization, sexual references, regionalisms considered as non normative for the literary Lebanese, etc. ). The purification of the Lexis in our corpus is coherent with the "Phoenicianism" (supposed superiority of the Phoenician culture over the European one) and with the anti-Arabic tendencies in the trunk of the "Lebanism" of the analyzed movement. The modernization (which we distinguish from the intellectualization) of the Lexis in the weekly "Lebnaan" is characterized among others by the fluctuation as regards to the loan translations, their functional and stylistic co-existence with the Arabic Lexis and their different adaptation into the Lebanese phonological and morphological systems. The absence of the standard planning of Lebanese proves that the idea of the Lebanese language has an ideological, not linguistic aspect

La présente étude examine les facteurs qui ont favorisé le développement d'un important mouvement de traduction au XIXe siècle, plus précisément, depuis la période de Muhammad ‘Ali Pacha.La langue française était, pendant cette période, l’une des principales langues sources à être traduite. Le roman français, envisagé sous l'angle de la traduction littéraire, commençait à devenir un genre répandu, ce qui permet de mieux réfléchir sur la pratique traduisante, ses caractéristiques, sa problématique et son influence sur la langue et la culture arabes.Dans la seconde partie, le présent travail étudie la traduction littéraire et ses problèmes à travers l’examen du roman français traduit au XIXe siècle. On a choisi, dans ce but, d’analyser plusieurs traductions de « Paul et Virginie » qui ont paru à la fin du XIXe siècle. Elles révèlent l'intérêt particulier de nombreux traducteurs de l’époque pour ce roman.La troisième partie se penche sur les aspects culturels résultants et sur le grand bouleversement idéologique, linguistique et littéraire que la traduction de maints ouvrages français, des romans en particulier, a entraîné.Cette thèse s'inscrit dans les recherches qui étudient la traduction en général et plus particulièrement celles liées au monde arabe. Elle vise à enrichir le thème de la découverte de l’autre, à approfondir, à comprendre et à promouvoir les échanges culturels entre les peuples, arabophones et francophones notamment. Par le nouvel éclairage qu'elle apporte, elle contribue également à l’histoire des échanges des idées<br>The present study examines the various factors who triggered the development of an important cultural translation current in the XIXth century.French language was then one of the main source languages to be translated. French novel, if we consider literary translation, was growingly spread, so it allows us to think upon the translation practices, its characteristics, its problems and how it influenced arabic language and culture.In the second part, this work studies literary translation and its problems, through the french novels which were translated in the XIXth century. For this, we decided to analyze several translations of « Paul and Virginie » released end of XIXth century. They show how many translators had keen interest for that novel at this time.Third part covers the ensuing cultural aspects and the huge ideological, linguistic and literary upheaval that translation of many french books, particularly novels, brought about.This thesis is part of researches who deal with translation in general and those linked with the arab world in particular. It intends to enrich the discovering of other people thema. It seeks to deepen, understand and promote cultural exchanges between arabic speaking and french speaking people in particular. Depuis son invention par Serge Doubrovsky en 1977, le concept d’autofiction n’a cessé d’évoluer et de stimuler la réflexion sur la production romanesque. Après sa consécration en France, l’autofiction gagne les littératures européennes et occidentales, d’abord en Allemagne et en Pologne, puis au Canada et aux États-Unis, ou encore en Espagne et en Amérique latine. Elle franchit ensuite les frontières pour s’adapter aux spécificités culturelles des littératures étrangères. Elle est adoptée au Japon, questionnée en Iran et pratiquée aux Antilles, dans l’Océan Indien, en Afrique du Sud, au Brésil ou encore en Chine. Depuis quelques années, le phénomène littéraire semble gagner le monde arabe. Certains écrivains s’en réclament, d’autres s’en accommodent et d’autres préfèrent employer divers concepts pour définir leur pratique romanesque, ce qui a poussé la critique arabe à forger un vocabulaire technique. Parmi les notions proposées, un terme se dégage : al-taḫyīl al-ḏātī. Mais cette nouvelle terminologie peut-elle attester l’émergence d’un « nouveau genre » dans la littérature arabe ? La présente thèse se propose donc d’étudier la question de la validité de l’autofiction dans la littérature arabe. La première partie de cette thèse donne un aperçu historique de la longue tradition d’écriture du moi depuis le XIXe siècle. La seconde partie questionne la production romanesque contemporaine, ensuite présente un certain nombre d’œuvres qui sont à mi-chemin entre l’autobiographie et la fiction, pose le débat critique et fixe notre cadre théorique. La troisième partie est consacrée à l’étude des œuvres choisies de Mohamed Choukri, de Sonallah Ibrahim et de Rachid pour observer au plus près la pratique autofictionnelle, d’en comprendre les mécanismes et d’en connaître les motivations. À partir de ces trois auteurs et des exemples qu’ils nous donnent de leur pratique d’écriture, on se propose dans la conclusion d’établir un modèle d’autofiction arabe et de définir des thèmes que l’on pourrait appliquer à un vaste ensemble de textes modernes et contemporains<br>Since its invention by Serge Doubrovsky in 1977, the concept of auto-fiction has continued evolve and stimulate thinking about the novel and its production. After its consecration in France, the auto-fiction has won over European and Western literature, starting first in Germany and Poland, Canada and the United States, as well as gathering acclaim in Spain and Latin America. It then crossed borders and adopted itself to the cultural specificities of foreign literature which is why it has also been adopted in Japan, questioned in Iran and practiced in the Caribbean, the Indian Ocean, South Africa, Brazil or China. In recent years, this literary phenomenon has also gained momentum in the Arab world. Some Arab writers have adopted it, others have accommodated it, and still others have chosen various concepts to help define their practice as novelists, inspiring the critics to create a new technical vocabulary such as: al-taḫyīl al-ḏātī. However, does the creation of new Arabic terminology within the realm of auto-fiction merit the claim that a ‘‘new genre’’ has emerged in the Arabic literature? This study raises the question of the validity of the auto-fiction as applied to Arabic literature. Therefore, the first part of this thesis gives a historical panorama of the long tradition of auto-fiction since the 19th century. The second part questions the contemporary novel’s production, then presents a number of works that are part autobiography and part fiction, exemplifying the critical debate that sets up the theoretical framework of this study. The third part is dedicated to studying selected works by Mohamed Choukri, Sonallah Ibrahim and Rashid El-Daïf and examining the practice of these authors use of auto-fiction in order to understand its mechanisms and their motivations. In conclusion, as a result of the examination of these three authors and the examples they give of their writing, an attempt is made to show a pattern for Arab auto-fiction in order to identify some of the themes that could be applied to a wide set of modern and contemporary texts<br>استمرّ مفهوم autofiction أو "ذات متخلية" في تطوّره و تطوير التفكير حول إنتاج الرواية، منذ اختراعه من قبل سيرج دوبروفسكي في عام 1977. بعد تكريسه في فرنسا، يتقدّم المفهوم في الأدب الأوروبي والغربي، أوّلاً في ألمانيا وبولندا وكندا والولايات المتّحدة، أو في إسبانيا وأمريكا اللاتينية. ثم يجتاز الحدود ليَتَأَقْلَمَ بخصوصيات ثقافة الأدب الأجنبي. فتَمّ اعتماده في اليابان، شُكِّكَ به في إيران وتمارس في منطقة البحر الكاريبي والمحيط الهندي وجنوب أفريقيا والبرازيل والصين. وفي السنوات الأخيرة، يبدو أن هذه الظاهرة الأدبية تكتسح العالم العربي. بدأ بعض الكتّاب يصرحون بانتماء نصوصهم إلى هذه الكتابة الأدبية، والبعض الآخر يعترفون بأن نصوصهم تنتمي سردياً إلى هذا النوع الأدبي غير أنها تحافظ على تجنيسها المألوف (الرواية، السيرة الذاتية، الخ) وآخرون يفضلون استخدام مفاهيم مختلفة لتعريف تجاربهم الروائية، مما دفع النقاد العرب بصياغة مفردات تقنية جديدة. و يظهر من بين المفاهيم المقترحة مصطلح "الــــتخييل الذاتي". ولكن هل هذا المصطلح الجديد يمكنه أن يشهد ظهور "نوع جديد" في الأدب العربي؟يطرح هذا البحث مسألة صحة التخييل الذاتي في الأدب العربي. يقترح الجزء الأول من هذه الأطروحة إعطاء لمحة تاريخية عن تقليد قديم في كتابة الذات منذ القرن التاسع عشر . والجزء الثاني يطرح إنتاج الرواية المعاصرة، ثم يعرض عدداً من الأعمال الروائية التي تقع بين السيرة الذاتية والخيال، ويثير النقاش حول هذه المسألة في النقد العربي والغربي، ثم يثبت الإطار النظري. ويخصّص الجزء الثالث في دراسة الأعمال المختارة لمحمد شكري، وصنع الله إبراهيم ورشيد الضعيف لمراقبة ممارسة كتابة "التخييل الذاتي"، لاستعاب آلياتها ومعرفة دوافعها. ومن هؤلاء المؤلفين لثلاثة ومن الأمثلة المتواجدة في كتاباتهم، نقترح في الخاتمة إقامة نموذج للتخييل الذاتي العربي وتحديد مواضيع من الممكن تطبيقها على نطاق مجموعة واسعة من النصوص الحديثة والمعاصرة

La langue arabe est pauvre en ressources sémantiques électroniques. Il y a bien la ressource Arabic WordNet, mais il est pauvre en mots et en relations. Cette thèse porte sur l’enrichissement d’Arabic WordNet par des synsets (un synset est un ensemble de mots synonymes) à partir d’un corpus général de grande taille. Ce type de corpus n’existe pas en arabe, il a donc fallu le construire, avant de lui faire subir un certain nombre de prétraitements.Nous avons élaboré, Gilles Bernard et moi-même, une méthode de vectorisation des mots, GraPaVec, qui puisse servir ici. J’ai donc construit un système incluant un module Add2Corpus, des prétraitements, une vectorisation des mots à l’aide de patterns fréquentiels générés automatiquement, qui aboutit à une matrice de données avec en ligne les mots et en colonne les patterns, chaque composante représente la fréquence du mot dans le pattern.Les vecteurs de mots sont soumis au modèle neuronal Self Organizing Map SOM ; la classification produite par SOM construit des synsets. Pour validation, il a fallu créer un corpus de référence (il n’en existe pas en arabe pour ce domaine) à partir d’Arabic WordNet, puis comparer la méthode GraPaVec avec Word2Vec et Glove. Le résultat montre que GraPaVec donne pour ce problème les meilleurs résultats avec une F-mesure supérieure de 25 % aux deux autres. Les classes produites seront utilisées pour créer de nouveaux synsets intégrés à Arabic WordNet<br>The Arabic language is poor in electronic semantic resources. Among those resources there is Arabic WordNet which is also poor in words and relationships.This thesis focuses on enriching Arabic WordNet by synsets (a synset is a set of synonymous words) taken from a large general corpus. This type of corpus does not exist in Arabic, so we had to build it, before subjecting it to a number of pretreatments.We developed, Gilles Bernard and myself, a method of word vectorization called GraPaVec which can be used here. I built a system which includes a module Add2Corpus, pretreatments, word vectorization using automatically generated frequency patterns, which yields a data matrix whose rows are the words and columns the patterns, each component representing the frequency of a word in a pattern.The word vectors are fed to the neural model Self Organizing Map (SOM) ;the classification produced constructs synsets. In order to validate the method, we had to create a gold standard corpus (there are none in Arabic for this area) from Arabic WordNet, and then compare the GraPaVec method with Word2Vec and Glove ones. The result shows that GraPaVec gives for this problem the best results with a F-measure 25 % higher than the others. The generated classes will be used to create new synsets to be included in Arabic WordNet

La tesi studia lo sviluppo della lingua italiana in Egitto a cavallo tra il 19° e il 20° secolo, con maggiore attenzione al lavoro letterario di alcuni figli e alcune figlie della comunità italiana ad Alessandria d'Egitto come Amalia Nizzoli, F. T. Marinetti, Enrico Pea, Fausta Cialente ed altri. Per concentrarsi dopo alla storia parallela del lavoro degli orientalisti italiani in Egitto e la nascita dei dipartimenti di lingua e cultura italiana, indicando il lavoro eccezionale di alcuni pionieri dell'Italianistica egiziana come Hassan Uthman e Taha Fawzi. Alla fine e come modello di questo incontro tra l'Egitto e l'Italia, si studia l'opera di Giuseppe Ungaretti, sia di prosa che di poesia, presentando in appendice un'antologia di poesie di Ungaretti tradotte in arabo dall'autore della tesi.

La tesi approfondisce, nel contesto della cosiddetta “letteratura italiana della migrazione”, sei opere degli scrittori di origine araba che si sono occupati dell’argomento religioso; un argomento che oggi è forse il più importante sia in rapporto all’integrazione degli immigrati, che sono molto aumentati di numero rispetto agli anni Novanta, che in rapporto agli equilibri internazionali che regolano i flussi migratori e la situazione geopolitica, e alla stessa percezione che gli europei hanno dei migranti di fede musulmana. Per inquadrare le opere letterarie nella cornice dell’Italia di oggi e per approfondire il contenuto in rapporto al tema della religione, ho deciso di non occuparmi solo delle pagine che gli autori hanno scritto ma di intervistarli, quando possibile. La tesi è organizzata in quattro capitoli: nel primo capitolo, intitolato Gli autori arabi nella letteratura della migrazione in Italia, sono introdotti e contestualizzati gli scrittori le cui opere saranno analizzate nel terzo capitolo. Il primo paragrafo è dedicato alla storia della narrativa italiana dagli anni Novanta a oggi, cioè alla storia di quello che Tellini nella sua Storia del romanzo italiano definisce «ventennio del degrado», a causa della forte influenza delle esigenze di mercato sulla produzione letteraria. La letteratura della migrazione nasce in Italia proprio all’inizio degli anni Novanta, e dunque si tratta di un contesto storico ed editoriale con cui ha dovuto fare i conti fin dall’inizio. Successivamente, sempre allo scopo di contestualizzare le sei opere che sono oggetto della ricerca, sono ripercorse quelle che Gnisci definisce le tre fasi della letteratura italiana dalla migrazione (1.2), e sono fornite informazioni biografiche sulla carriera degli autori (1.3). Il secondo capitolo è interamente dedicato alle interviste. Un breve paragrafo introduttivo, Dialogare per comprendere, chiarisce lo scopo delle interviste e i temi affrontati nelle domande. Seguono le risposte fornite da Tahar Lamri (2.2), Nacéra Benali (2.3), Sumaya Abdel Qader (2.4), Salah Methnani (2.5) e Younis Tawfik (2.6). Per concludere, ho scelto di mettere a confronto tutte le interviste, cercando di far emergere quello che accomuna gli scrittori e quello che invece li vede divisi. La parte principale della tesi è costituita dal terzo capitolo, Casi e declinazioni del tema religioso. Come nel caso dei due precedenti, anche qui ho scelto di iniziare con un paragrafo introduttivo, che nello specifico è dedicato alla religione nell’ambito della sociologia della migrazione. I sei romanzi sono trattati separatamente, sempre cercando di mettere in risalto quello che nella trama o nelle caratteristiche dei personaggi richiama il tema della religione.

The dissertation firstly looks at how the Arabic essay and short story developed in Egypt since the beginning of the nineteenth century. Then a discussion follows on the life and contribution of the Egyptian author, Mustafā Lutfī al-Manfalūtī, as representative of this literary evolution. The general influences on Egyptian literature are discussed, and the general development of Arabic prose from 1850 onwards is then detailed, including the efforts to save Arabic literature from stagnation and degeneration. Following this, the focus is on the origins of the essay and short story. This leads to dealing with the growth and advancement of the essay and short story, together with the revival of the Arabic heritage and how the Arabic novel came into being. Then Mustafā Lutfī al-Manfalūtīs biography, environmental circumstances and personalities that influenced his writings are focused on. Afterwards, the core discussion is Al-Manfalūtīs seven literary works, and his ideas and opinions as reflected in his writings.
