Full textIt is not news that society is starting to adapt to the new technical revolution that is now underway. A lot is happening within production development since the German coined concept of industry 4.0 which implies the use of cyber-physical systems. The purpose of this bachelor thesis is to investigate the possibilities for a better resource use in manufacturing and to investigate how the human role will change. This led to the research question; how is the human being in manufacturing affected by future automation and digitalisation? To achieve the knowledge, theories and definitions needed to define a theoretical framework a literature study was conducted. A case study was conducted with a manufacturing company within the wood and process industry by an interview with Tomas Bengtsson, production manager at Södra Wood. Our conclusion from similar studies together with the case study was the human role in manufacturing will be affected by future automatisation and digitalisation. By this development, Södra Wood has been able to utilise human decision-making and their analytical ability in production in a more efficient way. Our conclusion from our study at Södra Wood is also in line with what other studies have shown on the subject.

Full textCoordinator of public health has recently become a new profession in the field of Health Promotion. During the last few years the pedagogic perspective has been increasingly important for the coordinators as a way of adapting their work methods to the circumstances. The conditions for coordinators of public health differ between municipalities and thus their tasks and responsibilities may vary with the local structure. According to the literature there are several ways to conduct Health Promotion and it is in the hands of the coordinator to adjust the methods to fit local conditions. The purpose of the study was to examine what influences the coordinators of public health and how that affects their work methods. In order to collect data for the study eight interviews were carried out with coordinators of public health in the region of Scania. The theories applied in the study included learning, levels of action and professional competence. The result showed that projects were the most common work method and one-way communication the most common way to convey a message. Factors which affected the work method included structural conditions, politicians’ view of public health and impact of the participants. In most cases the empirical material supported former studies but some exceptions were observed. In general the coordinators work was founded on their practical knowledge and could possibly be interpreted as a routine- or regular based level of action. The idea of this study is to make people who work within this field reflect over their work method and thereby develop their professional competence.

Full textA technology change towards the Internet of Things (IoT) can lead to changes for both businesses and consumers in the form of changing work roles, new ways of producing content and new ways to share content. The focus of this report has been on what this means for technical writers. To highlight this problem, an investigation has been conducted at a case company specializing in producing technical documentation and which has begun to look closer at IoT. The investigation led to the conclusion that the role of technical writer within an IoT-context looks different from a technical writer who writes traditionally. To write technical documentation for IoT, higher demands are placed on technical competence in the form of basic programming skills and object-oriented thinking.

Full textSupervisors ansvarar för den dagliga ledningen av kabinkåren och delar sin tjänst mellan att vara administrativ ledare och att arbeta som kabinanställd i organisationen. Syftet med studien var att med hjälp av en kvalitativ induktiv metod få ökad förståelse för hur arbetsrollen ser ut och upplevs. Resultatet baseras på enskilda intervjuer, vilka tolkades i enlighet med en induktiv tematisk analys. En Supervisor rekryteras från kabinkåren och innehar två olika roller i verksamheten. Supervisorrollen har förändrats över tid. Arbetsrollen upplevs som komplex. Från att tidigare varit ett tidsbegränsat förtroendeuppdrag till tillsvidareanställd chef idag. Från att fokus har legat på praktiska göromål, till fokus på personalfrågor. Det framkommer att ett behov av kompetensutveckling har uppstått. Förväntningarna går isär och är otydliga, vilket leder till rollkonflikt. Oklara riktlinjer leder till rollotydlighet. Distansledarskap innebär avstånd till medarbetarna och ställer andra krav på kommunikationskanaler. Delar av resultatet kan kopplas till tidigare forskning om roller; rollförväntningar, rollbeteende, rollotydlighet, rollkonflikt.

Conclusions: Action control that is considered bureaucratic takes place within the service administration and makes the progress of digitization more difficult. The challenge will be to retain human services in the department. As benefits and opportunities are all new ways that digitalization offers and streamlines operations. Full textThe aim of this study was to describe how health care assistants and registered nurses perceive their own and each other’s work roles and also how they perceived registered nurses role as a leader. A qualitative descriptive design was used. The used method was semi-structured, topic-focused interviews that were analyzed through qualitative content analysis. The result of the study shows that it was difficult to define respectively work role, the general description is that the registered nurses responsibility lies within the area of diseases and prevention of illness. The health care assistant’s main responsibility is in the area of basic nursing care and also technical care, but both occupational groups considered preventive work as a shared responsibility and the expectations on respectively occupational group differ. Neither the registered nurses nor the healthcare assistants considered registered nurses as a leader, except in the role of a mentor and the responsibility to increase competence within the healthcare assistants group when needed. But it was found that registered nurse have a natural role as a leader regarding the medical care in specific situations. The conclusions of the study was that the registered nurses has a broader knowledge of the work tasks within the work role of the two professions compared to the health care assistants, the expectations of each other’s responsibilities differ and both groups seem unaware of the leading role that is incorporated in registered nurses responsibility.
