Abstract:
BACKGROUND: Archery is one of the oldest human skills that survived to the present day. At first, it was used for hunting and war and later became a sport. The interest in archery has grown annually. Each type of sport has specific injuries. Information about archery-related injuries will allow us to develop preventive measures and help make this sport safer. The article will be useful for coaches, sports doctors, physiotherapists, and orthopedic surgeons. AIM: To present modern information about frequency, types of archery-related injuries, and preventive methods. MATERIALS AND METHODS: The publication search was performed in the PubMed/MEDLINE databases from 1978 to 2023 using combinations of OR, AND operators, and keywords: archery, archery injuries, rotator cuff injuries, arrow injuries, and overuse. Consequently, we extracted 49 foreign and domestic scientific sources. RESULTS: Archery injuries occur in 4.4 per 10,000 people involved in this sport. Acute injuries in archers are rare, mainly due to shooting errors and most often lead to soft tissue damage because of a fracture of a bow, arrow, or bowstring during a shot (83.3%) or as a result of touching the bowstring with a bow. Chronic injuries occur in 83.9% of archery athletes. The main risk factors for their occurrence include overuse, high repetitions during training, lack of strength of the athlete, and incorrect technique. Overuse (67.9%) is the most common cause of chronic tendon, ligament, and joint injuries. Injuries occurred in 30%–53% of cases in the shoulders (rotator cuff tear, scapular dyskinesia, and shoulder impingement syndrome), 12.8% in the elbow (medial and lateral epicondylitis and traumatic bursitis), 8.9%–19.9% in the spine and forearm (chronic tendovaginitis and tunnel syndromes). CONCLUSIONS: Proper training and safety measures help prevent acute injuries. Practicing archery techniques and strength training are the main measures of preventing muscle overuse and reducing the incidence of chronic injuries.

Abstract:
Background Problems: Target panic was an experience that almost all archers went through. Research Objectives: This study aimed to minimise the symptoms of target panic in archery, including flinching, punching, freezing, and snap-shooting, by implementing the integration of the Specific Physical Training (SPT) Drill method with imagery. Methods: In this context, the method used is sports action research with the Kurt Lewin model, which consists of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects were NPCI Kalsel Para-Archery athletes, totaling 12 athletes consisting of 9 males and 3 females. The data analysis used is descriptive-quantitative. Findings and Results: The study revealed an improvement in effectively managing panic-inducing events using the implemented method. In the initial cycle, 41.67% (5 athletes) achieved success in controlling panic, falling below the criteria. However, in the second cycle, there was a notable enhancement, reaching a success rate of 83.33% (10 athletes), meeting criteria. In the second cycle, proficiency levels showed a remarkable increase of 99.98% and a decrease of 28.58%. Conclusion: By demonstrating the effectiveness of integrating the SPT drill with imagery in alleviating target panic, this research makes a noteworthy contribution to the literature on sports psychology and archery training. The results highlight the appropriateness of this approach in improving archers' physical conditioning, fostering confidence, and subtly reshaping their perspectives on anxiety related to archery. We can say that the SPT drill with imagery worked because it got better every time from the first cycle to the next. This shows that it could be a good way to help archers who get target panic.

Abstract:
Para-archery and para-shooting, two very popular adaptive shooting disciplines that have earned their place as major official events in the Paralympic Games, share some similarities, as well as distinctive features in terms of rules, physiological requirements, and equipment used. The International Paralympic Committee has a clear responsibility to ensure that all sports within its jurisdiction, including adaptive shooting, can achieve excellence in their respective fields. To achieve this, the conduct of well-designed studies and rigorous research is essential. Although some research has been conducted in this area, a comprehensive and systematic evaluation is still needed. Therefore, the present study aims to provide a thorough review and synthesis of existing research on adaptive shooting disciplines, identify strengths and gaps, and suggest future directions. Arksey and O’Malley’s methodology is leveraged and enhanced with bibliometric and policy analyses to review literature on adaptive shooting. Databases like PubMed/MEDLINE, Scopus, Web of Science, OvidSP, and EMBASE were searched, focusing on studies in adaptive shooting disciplines and analysing these findings through a blend of thematic and statistical methods. Twenty-four studies totalling 483 para-athletes (299 para-shooters and 184 para-archers) are included in this scoping review, focusing on a range of aspects, including physiological responses (n = 9), research design and measurement methods for evidence-based classification (n = 6), biopsychosocial aspects (n = 3), development of new methods and technologies (n = 4), kinematic and biomechanical assessment (n = 1), and epidemiology of injuries (n = 1). Seven articles focused exclusively on para-archery, thirteen exclusively on para-shooting, and four on both para-archery and para-shooting. In conclusion, the available literature on adaptive shooting disciplines is still very limited, especially regarding para-archery compared to para-shooting. This highlights the need for further research in many key areas to ensure a better understanding of the different disciplines and to provide appropriate support for para-athletes. Future research in para-archery and para-shooting should focus on technological innovations, biomechanical studies, and psychological support to enhance athlete performance and accessibility. Addressing the imbalance between the two disciplines, along with injury prevention and global participation, can drive the sports towards greater inclusivity and equity for para-athletes worldwide.

Abstract:
Determining the effect of an individually selected complex of special physical exercises in archery and physical rehabilitation means on the functional state of the cardiovascular, neuromuscular, and sensory systems and sports achievements of Paralympic athletes. Material. To achieve the goal and solve the tasks of the study, the following methods were used: theoretical – search and bibliographic methods; empirical – medical-pedagogical and medical-biological research methods; methods of mathematical statistics. Results. The analysis of scientific and methodological literature on practically healthy archery athletes allowed us to establish the important role of the nervous, muscular, and sensory systems in the realization of the archer’s sports results. Physical loads in archery are static and well-studied in practically healthy athletes, but in Paralympic athletes, they have not yet been studied sufficiently, and the effect of physical rehabilitation and special physical exercises in archery on recovery processes in the post-training and post-competition periods has not been studied, so a scientific study of Paralympic athletes was conducted. It was found that the Paralympians of the experimental and control groups at the firing line before and after the first training session of the first stage (background indicators) had no significant differences between all studied indicators. Significant differences between the first and second stages of the study and between the first and third stages of the study were determined only in the experimental group. The positive influence of the use of a complex of special physical exercises in archery and physical rehabilitation means on increasing psycho-emotional stability and improving sports performance has been proved. It was proved that Paralympians of the experimental group were more stable in performing shots and outperformed Paralympians of the control group by the results of shots, which is also an argument for the application of the proposed changes to the plans of educational and training sessions. Conclusions. In order to improve and stabilize sports results, increase psycho-emotional stability in the preparatory part of training sessions of the preparatory and competitive periods, apply a set of special physical exercises in archery and in the final part of physical rehabilitation – back muscle massage, massage of the muscles of the shoulder girdle and upper extremities and, on a free day, recreational swimming.

Abstract:
Background: Recent literature has demonstrated that acute physical activity benefits the transfer of executive functions. However, further studies indicated the type of variability in the effect of physical activity on executive functions. Therefore, this study initially explored the effect of a single bout of Chinese archery on subdomains of core EFs in preadolescent children; Method: Eligible participants were allocated either an intervention group (n = 36) or a control group (n = 36). The subjects in the intervention group received a 45-min Chinese archery session. The primary outcomes were the performance of core EFs (inhibition control, working memory, and cognitive flexibility) in preadolescent children, assessed with psychological paradigms (Fish Flanker Task, N-Back Task, and DCCS (Border version), respectively). Paired t-test and ANCOVA were used to analyze the mean difference in the performance of core EFs within and between subjects, respectively; Results: Considering reaction time and accuracy, we explored the impressive performance in three cognitive tasks with acute Chinese archery; Conclusion: The finding suggests that a single bout of Chinese archery benefited three subdomains of core EFs in healthy preadolescent children.

Abstract:
Archeological sites in Nubia are a continuous source of new material connected either generally or specifically with Nubian archery. Objects of this kind discussed here and in other publications of excavated assemblages (including excavations of the Polish Centre of Mediterranean Archeology, University of Warsaw) are seldom perceived as such, indiscernible as they are among the range of metal objects judged as being weaponry in a general sense. The lack of any synthetic work on Nubian archery is also evident in the literature in general and the few works that undertake the theme contain errors that are in need of being corrected. This article deals with issues related to the topic, which, although discussed separately, will hopefully work toward establishing the groundwork for a final reconstruction.

Abstract:
This study aims to investigate the effect of recreational archery exercise on attention levels of children aged 9–13 years. 20 girls and 20 boys who participated in archery training for 4 weeks held in archery areas of special sports centers in Konya Province. The participants were given archery training 60 minutes a day, 3 days a week for 4 weeks. They participated in the attention test before and after the training. In this study, Bourdon attention test was applied as a data collection tool. The normality test was performed to determine whether the data fit the normal distribution and the data were found to be suitable for parametric tests. In order to determine the difference between the before and after of the test, paired samples t-test was applied. As a result of the study, it was revealed that the attention levels of the participants increased in respect of both total scores and comparisons according to variables (p < 0.001). In this respect, it can be suggested that archery activities will have a positive effect on the attention development of 9–13 age group children. When the general literature is examined, it can be stated that attention levels of children participating in sports and exercise-based recreational activities are positively affected.

Abstract:
The purpose of this study is to qualitatively explore situations in which athletes perceived communication with their coach to be important and determine the effect of this communication on the athletes. Literature on the communication process in sports emphasizes the distinct characteristics of each sports and its setting. However, previous research has not studied various settings in detail, and archery is yet to be explored. The qualitative process included an in-depth, semi-structured interview with eight Olympic archers. Thematic analysis was used to interpret the data. Athletes perceived communication with coaches to be important during their performance, while dealing with psychological crises, and during their training. Our analysis suggests that, depending on the communicative actions, a coach may positively or negatively impact an athlete’s self-awareness, self-confidence, anxiety, autonomy, and motivation. A noteworthy finding of this study is that archers perceive communication with coaches about the selection and management of equipment as important. This study emphasizes the critical role of an athlete’s communication with the coach in various situations and discusses the theoretical and practical implications in the context of sports performance.

Abstract:
Purpose. The article analyzes items of the Buryats’ archery complex depicted on the postcards of the early 20th century. These are bows and arrows, quivers, bow cases, belts and one arrow storage. Also in the article, the history of photographs are examined, the authorship and dating of the photographs are found. Results. In total, four postcards with east Buryats and three postcards with west Buryats were found. The analysis showed that all the images have bows with similar geometrical features that tells us about the proximity of structures. Items similar in geometry are now kept in museums and private collections and belong to the Buryat traditional culture and differ from the Manchu tradition bows, popular among the peoples of South Siberia and Central Asia. All the Buryat quivers have a special shape and are called “humpbacked” in publications. The bow cases are shaped like half a bow. Quivers and bow cases are represented in two decorative traditions: western and eastern. In western tradition, usually the entire front surface of quivers and bow cases is covered with metal plates of various shapes. The edges were decorated with sub-rectangular plates using vajra and “ram’s horn symbols”. The central part of the bow cases was filled with discs, the same part of the quivers contains a disk and a ‘comet’. Eastern tradition shows the use of metal plates much less frequently. One image shows a quiver similar in design to Mongolian items, however, in shape resembling Buryat “humpbacked” quivers. One image shows an arrow storage – a case for storing arrows. The images also show the features of wearing and using items of the archery complex. Conclusion. The postcard images confirm previous conclusions about the uniqueness of the Buryat archery complex and make it possible to highlight new typical features. All of this tells us about the importance of referring to visual sources including postcards when studying weapons.

This study explores the comprehensive understanding of taekwondo, the application of fourth industrial revolution technologies in various kinds of sports, the development of taekwondo through artificial intelligence (AI), and essential technology in the fourth industrial revolution while suggesting advanced science directions through a literature review. Literature was sourced from six internet search electronic databases, consisting of three English databases and three Korean databases, from January 2016 to August 2023. The literature indicated cases of sports convergence with the application of fourth industrial revolution technologies, such as the game of go, golf, table tennis, soccer, American football, skiing, archery, and fencing. These sports not only use big data but also virtual reality and augmented reality. Taekwondo is a traditional martial art that originated in Republic of Korea and gradually became a globally recognized sport. Since taekwondo’s competition analysis is an analysis in which researchers manually write events, it takes a very long time to analyze, and the scale of the analysis varies depending on the researcher’s tendencies. This study presented the development of an AI Taekwondo performance improvement analysis and evaluation system and a metaverse-based virtual Taekwondo pumsae/fighting coaching platform through an AI-based motion tracking analysis method.

Abstract:
The wars that have occurred in Indonesia since the arrival of the Portuguese in 1912 in Malacca have carved out a long history of seizing the independence which was declared on August 17, 1945, from the hands of the colonialists. This cannot be separated from the struggle of the fighters throughout the country, including women. The struggle is then retold through the art of folk dance, which is usually performed when people gather. The Pejuang Dance or Fighters Dance is one of Supadi Ngalimat Condropangrawit’s masterpieces that depicts the resistance of the Indonesian people, where not only men but women also play a direct role. The research method used is a qualitative method with literature studies and direct interviews with a dance educator from the State University of Semarang, Indonesia. As a result, dynamic and rhythmic dance movements liven up the atmosphere that took place during the struggle, there were training movements to play weapons, practice archery or known as gandhewa and form defensive fortifications. The movements in the Pejuang dance are a picture of traditional war strategies like a guerrilla and the high spirit of defending the country against the sovereignty of the Indonesian nation.

Abstract:
In Islam, physical education is no less important than other education. Because in the perspective of Islamic education, humans are created from two elements, physical (physical) and non-physical (spiritual). This study aims to analyze physical education for elementary age children. Research using library research or library research draws conclusions using content analysis methods, namely making conclusions (inferences) that can be imitated and with valid data, taking into account the context. This method is intended to analyze all discussions regarding the body in terms of the perspective of Islamic educational philosophy from several literature or manuscripts that examine this matter. The results of this study found that physical education is an important thing to give to children from an elementary age. As Rasulullah SAW. has taught friends to teach their children to ride, swim, and archery, all of which require physical strength. Thus, physical health will be a driving factor for elementary age children in strengthening non-physical or spiritual aspects. The conclusions of the study are (1) physical education is very much needed in the physical and motor development of elementary age children; (2) physical fitness is needed by children to increase their concentration in learning; and (3) physically and mentally healthy children have the opportunity to create critical and constructive learning products.

Abstract:
The purpose of the study – to describe the peculiarities of the formation of motor skills in athletes in bullet shooting at the initial stage of training. Materials and methods. The following research methods were used to solve the tasks: analysis and generalization of scientific and methodological literature, pedagogical observations, processing of results. The analysis of the scientific and methodological literature made it possible to establish that in the technical training of young shooters the available general information is given without specifying the use of tools and methods for learning motor skills. The pedagogical observation was used to study the peculiarities of learning the technique of performing bullet shooting elements, as well as mastering motor skills. Results. The analysis of educational and training activities allowed to determine that learning to master the technical elements of shooting athletes at the stage of initial training requires the use of modern methods and tools. A number of educational and methodological documents were analyzed: the curriculum for the training of archery for children and youth sports schools, specialized children and youth schools of the Olympic reserve, schools of higher sportsmanship and educational institutions of sports profile; specialized literature on shooter training. In the process of analysis it was determined that the technical training of athletes occupies a significant share of the duration of the training process, and requires the use of an increased arsenal of additional tools for the effective study of shooting techniques. Conclusions. A detailed analysis of the specialized educational and methodological literature for the training of shooters revealed that in the group of initial training technical training is characterized by studying the basics of elements of shooting techniques, namely: racks for shooting, aiming, breathing, finger pressure on the trigger. Mastering these basics of the elements of shooting technique directly depends on quality and well-formed motor skills, which in the future will allow the athlete to achieve a high sports result.

Abstract:
Syariah housing has now penetrated the city of Surabaya. The syariahisation project is a form of the commodification of religion that marries business and re-ligious symbols. The rise of syariah housing will result in spatial and social segregation. This paper will discuss the forms of the commodification of religion in syariah housing and the impact of the commodification of religion in syariah housing in the Surabaya area. This research uses descriptive qualitative method. Data collection techniques through literature studies by collecting all material or data that corroborate and are related to the study of sharia housing and the commodification of religion. The results of this study indicate that there are four forms of the commodification of religion in syariah housing. First, from the facili-ties offered by the use of religious labels in the form of an Islamic environment, there are regular studies, tahfidz houses, mosques, archery areas. Second, the marketing strategy by using a tagline that contains elements of Islam; inviting customers to the concept of religious seminars, using the names of housing that is closely attached to the nuances of Islam. Third, "Islamic" fashion used by marketing agents and models in the brochure. Fourth, syariah-based payment sys-tems. With the concept of sharia housing this will have an impact on the formation of social identity and creating a gated community

Abstract:
The purpose of this research is to compare some coordinative abilities in terms of team and individual sports. A total of 112 athletes were included in the research, of which 60 athletes were from individual sports (Athletics=20, Archery=20, Karate=20) with mean age of 15.02±0.813 years, mean body height of 1.64±0.88 meters and mean body weight of 54.80±11.196 kilograms and 52 athletes were from team sports (Football Player=32, Basketball Player=20) with mean age of 14.98±0.727 years, mean body height of 1.67±0.90 meters and mean body weight of 58.10±9.770 kilograms. Numbered medicine ball run test, backward medicine ball throw test and sprint at the given rhythm test were used to evaluate performances related to coordinative abilities. When our results are examined, it is seen that averages of the participants in team sports category in terms of rhythm, orientation and differentiation abilities are at better level than averages of the participants in individual sports category. It has been seen that individuals in team sports category have significantly better performance than athletes in individual sports in terms of their orientation and differentiation abilities. On the other hand, no significant difference was found for rhythm ability. Consequently, results of the study confirm our pre-research expectations. On the other hand, when literature is examined, it is significant that results obtained from other studies examining coordinative abilities of the athletes in individual sports and team sports categories are similar to our results. It has been seen in the studies in the literature that some results are not similar. It can be thought that different results are caused by age differences and differences in types and branches of sports in which athletes participate.

Abstract:
In the modern enclave tradition of Chinese Tuvans, a layer of oral stories dedicated to Amyr-San has been revealed. The narratives on this topic are still alive in the memory of young and elderly people, showing the continuity of folklore and the stability of historical memory. The collected materials of recent years indicate that compared to the maternal field, the image of Amyr-Sana among Chinese Tuvans is represented by various variants, showing his folklore image to be rather contradictory. On the one hand, the image of Amyr-Sana in the folklore of Chinese Tuvans embodies faith in freedom and independence. He is regarded as an epic hero, a Tuvinian, a founder of archery competition Tuvans. On the other hand, Amyr-Sana can be negatively characterized as a cowardly person, a khan who was defeated and wanted to become the ruler of the Tuvans. One of the specific features in the plot situation: “Amyr-Sana wants to become the ruler of Tuvans” has been found to be the obligatory presence of a poetic triplet/couplet conveying the essence of the main theme. It has been revealed that the departure and return of Amyr-Sana feature two stable motives expressing the idea of Amyr-Sana’s return to his native lands in a difficult time for the people. The fieldwork allowed us to establish that numerous respondents nowadays believe and wait for the return of Amyr-Sana, a striking indicator of the preservation of historical memory.

Abstract:
Spending time outdoors fosters a sense of connectedness and empathy with nature and has a clear effect on attitudes and behaviour towards the environment. The purpose of this study was to examine the impact of an outdoor activities intervention program on adolescents’ sense of responsibility towards the environment. Participants included 262 adolescents (135 girls and 127 boys) aged 13-17 years who were divided into experimental (n = 141) and control groups (n = 121). The 15-day outdoor intervention program included trekking, mountain biking, orienteering, archery, ropes courses, canoeing on a lake, via ferrata rock climbing, night hiking, and overnight camping. Participants completed an Environmental Responsibility questionnaire (Zafeiroudi & Hatzigeorgiadis, 2013) before and after participation in the activities program. The questionnaire included five scales that focused on perceptions of information on environmental issues, environmental cognitive and affective beliefs, predisposition for environmental action, and environmentally responsible behaviour. Analysis of variance with repeated measures revealed improved scores amongst adolescents who participated in the intervention program, notably within the specific scales used to evaluate perceived information, affective beliefs, predisposition for individual action, and predisposition for encouraging others. A follow-up analysis of covariance revealed that participants in the experimental group scored higher overall than did those in the control group. Taken together, these findings add to the current literature focused on psychosocial and behavioural mechanisms associated with environmental awareness. Our findings also suggest that outdoor recreational activities may be an effective supplement and a more challenging alternative to programs currently provided by environmental and active leisure associations.

Full text
Abstract:
Background Laterality effects on sports performance have been a field of interest for the sports sciences, especially in asymmetrical sports, which require the preferential use of one side of the body. Some sports in particular involve the visual system and ocular laterality, due to the need to clearly focus on a dynamic object (ball, opponent, projectile, etc.). The relationship between manual and ocular laterality results in two perceptual-motor profiles, one where the dominant hand and eye are ipsilateral (uncrossed hand-eye laterality profile, UC-HELP), and the other where they are contralateral (crossed hand-eye laterality profile, C-HELP). Methodology A systematic review of the literature was carried out to determine the prevalence of hand-eye laterality profiles in the different sports modalities and their relationship with psychological factors and sports performance. Searches of PsycInfo, Medline, Scopus and grey literature identified 14 studies (2,759 participants) regarding hand-eye laterality in sports that met the eligibility criteria. Results Previous studies have estimated that between 10–30% of the general population exhibit a C-HELP, and 70–90% have an UC-HELP. The results of the reviewed studies indicate that in some sports the percentage of C-HELP is higher in regular and high-level athletes than in the normal population: golf (52.55%), soccer (53%), tennis (42%) and team sports (50.7%). In target sports (archery and shooting) athletes with an UC-HELP seem to have an advantage given the significant concentration of this profile in the highest performing populations (82.3%). In basketball, cricket and golf, the literature reviewed also reported biomechanical differences in the execution of some techniques between the two profiles. We did not find any study in our review that related hand-eye laterality with cognitive, tactical, or psychological aspects of athletes. Conclusions These results should be taken with great caution due to the potential bias linked to the methodologies used in the investigations, the heterogeneity in the assessment of hand-eye laterality, the few studies available on the subject and the indirect nature of many of the observed relationships between performance and laterality. For further investigation, we propose a standardized terminology and protocol of hand-eye laterality assessment in sports. The advancement in knowledge about hand-eye laterality profiles, along with the study of the relationship with psychological or tactical-sports patterns, can contribute to more effective development plans for athletes and can be a complement to talent detection.

Abstract:
Exposure to the natural environment is increasingly considered to benefit psychological health. Recent reports in the literature also suggest that outdoor exposure that includes recreational pursuits such as surfing or fishing coupled with opportunities for social interaction with peers may be beneficial to Armed Forces Veterans experiencing Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Two studies were conducted to evaluate this possibility. In particular, these studies aimed to test the hypothesis that a brief group outdoor activity would decrease participants’ symptoms as assessed by established measures of PTSD, depression, anxiety and perceived stress, and increase participants’ sense of general social functioning and psychological growth. Experiment one employed a repeated measures design in which UK men and women military veterans with PTSD (N = 30) participated in a group outdoor activity (angling, equine care, or archery and falconry combined). Psychological measures were taken at 2 weeks prior, 2 weeks post, and at 4 month follow up. We obtained a significant within participant main effect indicating significant reduction in PTSD symptoms. Experiment two was a waitlist controlled randomised experiment employing an angling experience (N = 18) and 2 week follow up. In experiment 2 the predicted interaction of Group (Experimental vs. Waitlist Control) X Time (2 weeks pre vs. 2 weeks post) was obtained indicating that the experience resulted in significant reduction in PTSD symptoms relative to waitlist controls. The effect size was large. Additional analyses confirmed that the observed effects might also be considered clinically significant and reliable. In sum, peer outdoor experiences are beneficial and offer potential to complement existing provision for military veterans with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Trial registration The authors confirm that all ongoing and related trials for this intervention are registered. The Relevance of the Research. Ever since ancient times, Physical Education (PE) has been undergoing a process of formation, development, and enhancement in the territory occupied by modern Ukraine, and now it has become an integral part of ethnic culture. In current Research Papres, the historical aspects of PE and the contemporary applications of the physical culture traditions have been researched. However, the atmosphere of Olympism which has been present during the various historical periods of the physical culture development in Ukraine has never been the subject of specifically-focused study. Objective of the Research: To reveal the essence of Olympism in the history of PE in the territory of modern Ukraine. The Research Methods: analysis and generalization of scientific and ethnographic literature, induction and deduction, historical and logical methods, method of extrapolation. The Research Results. PE, in general, followed the tradition of ancient Greece and took place in gymnasia and palaestra, under the supervision of specially trained personnel. The program of the competition was quite broad and included pentathlon, pugilism, horseback riding, archery, swimming, dancing, and outdoor games, among others. Pentathlon consisted of wrestling, running, jumping, javelin throw, and discus throw. Extensive development of PE and sport in the Northern Seaside of the Black Sea led to close relationships with other sports policies in the Greek world. Athletes participated in the most prestigious competitions in Greece. Vicory was considered the highest achievement and brought fame and universal respect for fellow citizens. Conclusions. The tradition of Olympism in the history of PE in Ukraine reached the northern Black Sea area from the 7th century BC to the 2nd century AD. Over time, it created a unique PE system, based on national ideals of physical perfection, on the domestic and traditional ceremonies and customs of Olympism.

This research is motivated by the importance of the position of science in human life which is one of the basic human rights. Knowledge gained in the educational process is a primary need that must be obtained by every human being. With the knowledge it will increase the degree of human beings. Islam is very concerned about science, because with science humans can work and achieve. The purpose of this study was to find out Hamka's view of science and its implications for the Islamic education curriculum. This type of research is Library Research which is a descriptive research. The method used to analyze the data is Content analysis, which explores Hamka's view of the concept of science and its implications forthe Islamic education curriculum. After conducting an in-depth study, the results showed that the concept of science according to Hamka is the equivalent of knowledge that includes general science and religion, and to achieve this process science must be based on faith and then put it into practice. Science is not only to help humans earn a decent living, but more than that, with knowledge humans will be able to know their God, form their morals, and always seek the pleasure of Allah. The implication of the concept of Science on the Islamic education curriculum according to Hamka is that science must cover all sciences without separating general science and religious knowledge. According to Hamka, the educational materials contained in the Islamic education curriculum consist of at least: monotheism, interpretation, fiqh, hadith, nahwu, mantiq, bayan, history, philosophy, literature, arithmetic, earthscience, astronomy, body and soul science. human, social science, plant science, government science, archery skills, swimming, and horse riding, and others.

Abstract:
Purpose: The fact that the sports branch that the athletes are interested in is included in the group of indoor and outdoor sports or team and individual sports can create differences in the motivation levels of the athletes. In this study, it was aimed to compare the motivation levels of team and individual athletes who do sports in Indoor and Outdoor.Method: The Sports-Specific Achievement Motivation Scale (SSAMS) developed by Willis (1982) was used to determine the motivation levels of the athletes in the study. The study consists of athletes who take part in Archery, Athletics, Judo, Tennis, Muaythai, Shooting (Weapon), Volleyball, Football, Basketball, Handball and Field hockey teams in Turkey. A total of 259 athletes, 170 men and 89 women, in these teams were included in the study.Findings: When we compared the motivation levels of individual and team athletes, a significant difference was found in the sub-dimensions of “motivation to show strength”, “motivation to approach success” and “avoiding failure” (p < 0.05). While a significant difference in the sub-dimensions of “motivation to show strength” and “motivation to approach success” was in favor of team athletes, “motivation to avoid failure” was found in favor of individual athletes (p < 0.05). Motivation levels of indoor and outdoor athletes. A significant difference was found in the motivation sub-dimensions of “motivation of strength” and “motivation of avoiding failure” of indoor and outdoor athletes (p < 0.05). It is seen that the significant difference is in favor of indoor athletes.Result: As a result; It has been determined that the sports branch differences that the athletes are interested in, the aims of their orientation to sports, the level of communication between the athletes studying physical education and sports training and the people who are in direct and constant communication, and the spatial differences in which the interested sports branch is performed can play an active role in the motivation levels of the athletes. The scarcity of studies on athletes in different branches doing sports in indoor and outdoor areas in the literature has shown that more studies are needed in this area.

Abstract:
In the article, the author continues to investigate questions about the structural and functional features of the defence structures of the city of Kyiv in the IX-XIII centuries. He believes that when studying the fortifications of the times of Kievan Rus, it is necessary to consider them in unity with the tactics of siege and defence of that time. A proper understanding of the development of defence structures, their various types and constructions, cannot be achieved without considering these structures in terms of tactical principles and tactical requirements imposed on them in combat use.Based on the analysis of scientific literature, elaboration of chronicle and archaeological sources, the author concludes that the city defensive fortifications in the period under study were wooden bunk structures. The first tier consisted of hollow three- or four-walled gardens that formed the basis of the defensive wall. If the gardens were not clogged, they were used for various purposes (such as warehouses). The first tier of four-walled gardens could have several floors. The second tier of fortifications is a battlefield (forbidden) - a particular lightweight structure that allowed to shoot at the enemy from above and served to protect the soldiers who defended the walls. As the bans are not archaeologically presented, the author relies on written sources for their reconstruction. It identifies three main types of prohibitions. The first, the simplest type, consisted of a combat course (site) and a palisade or "shields" filled with vertically chipped boards, with a vertical archery gun cut through the field. The second, most common, type consisted of covered fighting. On the side of the field, it was protected by vertically mounted chipped boards with arrows and "doors", which opened stones, spears or poured boiling water. It was a light beam-pillar structure, covered with a sloping roof (with a steep slope on the side of the field). The third type of prohibitions consisted of a combat course, a solid gallery running from the side of the settlement, and structures made of four-walled cages and walls between them from horizontally laid logs - from the side of the field. A gable roof covered all this with a cantilever overhang over the gallery by the settlement.

Abstract:
Yemen is noted to have the worst humanitarian crisis in the world. This condition is due to the civil war for the past six years, exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic, which emerged as a health security threat. This research aims to analyse the WHO’s role in responding health crisis in Yemen. By using qualitative methods and literature review approach, this article uses Atlas.ti to collect data regarding WHO’s activity in Yemen throughout the pandemic analysed by the international organisation’s role concept according to Clive Archer. The health security concept is also used to explain the health situation in Yemen during the pandemic. This research found accordance between WHO’s activities with Clive Archer’s idea of roles, mainly on its role as an independent actor to combat the health crisis in Yemen. However, the three roles are intertwined. As WHO has emphasised the importance of international aid to overcome Yemen’s health emergency, the writer recommends strengthening global solidarity with Yemen’s authority to improve health within the country.

Abstract:
Research on the diversity of undergrowth species has been widely carried out in other places. However, at the Karangsari Research Station, Gunung Ciremai National Park, data on the diversity of types of undergrowth with medicinal efficacy is not yet available so the purpose of this study is to determine the types of undergrowth with medicinal efficacy and that dominate and the level of diversity in three types of vegetation (mixed forests, pine forests, thickets) in the Karangsari Research Station area of Gunung Ciremai National Park. This study used the area species curve method with data analysis using vegetation analysis, species diversity index, plant identification. Based on data analysis, it was shown that all the undergrowth found were identified as medicinally efficacious based on the literature and scientific foundations. For the number of types of medicinally efficacious undergrowth obtained 9 types in mixed forest vegetation, 12 types in pine forest vegetation, 20 types in shrub vegetation. The total types of medicinally efficacious undergrowth from all vegetation were obtained as many as 25 types from 18 families obtained from the results of sorting types in each cover because there are several types of the same in each cover. There are 4 types of undergrowth plants that can grow in three vegetation at the study site from 4 different families, namely Archery leaves (Ayapana triplinervis), Harendong (Clidemia hirta), Reeds (Imperata cylindrica), Bandotan (Ageratum conyzoides). This shows that types with relatively high abundance values are thought to be able to adjust to the surrounding situationPenelitian mengenai keanekaragaman jenis tumbuhan bawah telah banyak dilakukan di tempat lain.

Abstract:
The literature has long emphasized the neocortex’s role in volitional processes. In this work, we examined endogenous orienting in an evolutionarily older species, the archer fish, which lacks neocortex-like cells. We used Posner’s classic endogenous cuing task, in which a centrally presented, spatially informative cue is followed by a target. The fish responded to the target by shooting a stream of water at it. Interestingly, the fish demonstrated a human-like “volitional” facilitation effect: their reaction times to targets that appeared on the side indicated by the precue were faster than their reaction times to targets on the opposite side. The fish also exhibited inhibition of return, an aftermath of orienting that commonly emerges only in reflexive orienting tasks in human participants. We believe that this pattern demonstrates the acquisition of an arbitrary connection between spatial orienting and a nonspatial feature of a centrally presented stimulus in nonprimate species. In the literature on human attention, orienting in response to such contingencies has been strongly associated with volitional control. We discuss the implications of these results for the evolution of orienting, and for the study of volitional processes in all species, including humans.
