The article analyzes four residential districts from the period of Socialist Realism in Poland: Marszałkowska Residential District in Warsaw, Kościuszkowska Residential District in Wrocław, residential Nowa Huta in Cracow and Downtown Residential District in Szczecin. Two years prior to this date The California Department of Transportation started looking for a replacement latex resin that would meet these new requirements and still have the same properties as currently used industrial maintenance bridge coatings. This paper will look at the coating formulations that were examined and compare performance characteristics between them and the coatings they were designed to replace.
