Abstract:
Abstract With today's esthetic conscious population, the day of simply extracting a tooth and replacing it at a later date is unacceptable to many patients. It is vital to preserve and maintain the edentulous ridge and normal gingival architecture, which often collapses after tooth extraction. As clinicians, we must have multiple techniques available to preserve or restore the function and esthetics when teeth are unrestorable. This case report describes a modified approach to the “Bio-Col Technique.” This modification simplifies the procedure without compromising the esthetic result. Citation

Ecological crises have affected the architecture discipline, and different techniques, technologies, and design approaches have flourished. A theory about the effect of ecology on architectural design, formulated as ecological design, and its education has started in institutes. However, it is important that the practice of architecture is reflected through theoretical knowledge in its outputs, and the discipline is conscious about its theoretical knowledge when designing a building, including how much can be understood in the concrete project. The integrity verification of on-chip flash memory data as code memory is becoming important in microcontroller-based applications such as automotive systems. On-the-fly memory fail-detection requires a fast detection method in the seamless background mode without any interruption of CPU operation and low-power flash access hardware to provide safety-conscious execution of the user-programmed firmware during system operations. In this paper, newly-designed read-path architecture based on the binary inversion techniques is proposed for on-chip flash-embedded microcontrollers. The proposed binar

In a few years, the world will be populated by billions of connected devices that will be placed in our homes, cities, vehicles, and industries. Devices with limited resources will interact with the surrounding environment and users. Many of these devices will be based on machine learning models to decode meaning and behavior behind sensors’ data, to implement accurate predictions and make decisions. The bottleneck will be the high level of connected things that could congest the network. Hence, the need to incorporate intelligence on end devices using machine learning algorithms. Deploying ma

Abstract. The "history" of places exists as a stratification process of events that have occurred over time in a specific place, leaving more or less appreciable physical traces. The "memory" of the places, instead, is the result of a conscious choice of events to be handed down to future generations constructing the identity of a community and a recognisable image of places. It is in this sense that the project conducted in Quota, a mountain village in central Tuscany, Italy should be interpreted and set. This study describes a technique for the continuous recording of coronary blood flow velocity (CBV) in conscious unrestrained rats. A pulsed Doppler flow probe consisting of a 1-mm2 crystal mounted in a 4-mm suction cup was positioned over the left coronary artery of pentobarbital sodium-anesthetized rats. The probe was held in place with mild suction and sutured to the surface of the myocardium. Probes were connected to a pulsed Doppler flowmeter, which measures Doppler shift and provides an index of blood flow velocity. While rats were still anesthetized, the measurement of CBV was validated

Centuries-old earthen masonry presenting various stages of degradation, earthen walls that have been restored several times: these are the archeological phases of the city walls of Mascarell, on the Spanish Mediterranean coast. Founded in the first half of the 13th century, this town is the only complex in Castellon Province that preserves all its ancient walls, which were built entirely by means of the brick-faced rammed-earth technique (clay with bricks and lime). PurposeIt is a well‐known fact that the construction industry always passes through two distinctive problems during the construction stage: slippages of project‐schedules, i.e. time‐frame, and overruns of project‐costs, i.e. budget. However, limited literature is available to solve or dilute these two problems before they even occur. It is strongly believed that the bulk of the two mentioned problems can be mitigated to a great extent, if not eliminated, provided that proper attention is paid to the pre‐construction phases of projects. Normally projects are implemented through traditionally ol
