Abstract:
The project aims to examine how an architectural experience can help to increase awareness and encourage solutions for the Baltic Sea issues. The essence of the project lies in the experience which will be embodied by an exhibition as well as a gathering space for the Baltic science community on a remote island called Lilla Båtskär, situated in the archipelago of Åland, Finland. The exhibition aims to explain the issue from different perspectives, categorized into three themes. The incisions, linked to the themes,  will serve as generators for creating awareness and understanding of the issue,

[EN] Exhibitions are a cornerstone of Alison and Peter Smithsons' multifaceted approach to their work. A powerful medium for conveying and materialising their ideas which provided them, throughout their career, with the opportunity to freely create experimental constructions to relay their thoughts. The exhibitions they staged in the 1950s and 60s, such as 'Parallel of Life and Art', 'House of the Future', and 'Patio & Pavilion' were, and still are, at least as important to architectural critics as their few built works or many writings. However, from the 1970s onwards little is known about

Abstract:
There are two principle arguments in this thesis. First, this thesis will show that Félix Bracquemond had a profound impact on late-nineteenth-century and early-twentieth-century ceramics in America. Second, this thesis will illustrate how John Ruskin’s principle that pottery is “more permanent than the Pyramids” encouraged reform of the ceramic arts and shaped the Art Pottery Movement of the late nineteenth century.
