Architecture form has been one of the hot areas in the field of architectural design, which reflects regional architectural features to some extent. However, most of the existing methods for architecture form belong to the field of qualitative analysis. Accordingly, quantitative methods are urgently required to extract regional architectural style, identify architecture form, and to and further provide the quantitative evaluation. Based on machine learning technology, this paper proposes a novel method to quantify the feature, form, and evaluation of regional architectures. First, we construct

This essay combines experiential writing, quotes from Virginia Woolf's novel The Waves and Gilles Deleuze's philosophy in order to indicate that architecture remains a largely overlooked instance of the world. This is particularly problematic in the context of the question of immanence, which can be understood to lie at the core of Deleuze's philosophy. Architecture's relation to thought is discussed here via Deleuze's writing in Difference and Repetition and pursued in conjunction with Simone Brott's notion of architectural ‘effects’. Abstract Richard McGuire's Here (2014) and Chris Ware's Lost Buildings (Glass et al. 2004) are discussed as examples of graphic novels that demonstrate a synergistic relationship with architecture. The synergistic relationship is examined through its use of decorative forms and the use of architectural reference as a narrative device and a signifier of space and time. The article goes on to explore the potential for architectural structures to function as graphic novels. Various 2D convolution implementations have been proposed in the literature. Among them Separable architectures stand out in terms of the reduction in the computational complexity. Epithelial tissues are the most abundant tissue type in animals, lining body cavities and generating compartment barriers. The function of a monolayered epithelial tissue–whether protective, secretory, absorptive, or filtrative–relies on the side-by-side arrangement of its component cells. The mechanical parameters that determine the shape of epithelial cells in the apical-basal plane are not well-understood. Epithelial tissue architecture in culture is intimately connected to cell density, and cultured layers transition between architectures as they proliferate. This prompted us to ask to wha

We introduce KANICE, a novel neural architecture that combines Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) with Kolmogorov-Arnold Network (KAN) principles. KANICE integrates Interactive Convolutional Blocks (ICBs) and KAN linear layers into a CNN framework. This leverages KANs’ universal approximation capabilities and ICBs’ adaptive feature learning. KANICE captures complex, non-linear data relationships while enabling dynamic, context-dependent feature extraction based on the Kolmogorov-Arnold representation theorem.
