The earliest (Bronze Age) fortifi ed settlements in the Southern Urals are described with regard to their defensive function, as well as to manufacture and living quarters. We reveal the relations between the layout of the Sintashta-Petrovka forts and the architecture of Central Asia and of the early Central Eastern states. This circumstance suggests the migratory nature of the emergence of such a tradition in the Urals. This and other migrations are considered in the context of the pa

The Sintashta culture is the most controversial ethno-cultural formation of the Bronze Age, formed in the Ural-Kazakhstan steppes. It appears suddenly and is located on the territory of the Southern Trans-Urals. Fortified settlements and burial grounds of this culture spread in a wide strip along the eastern slopes of the Ural Range. The specificity of fortified urban-type settlements, uncharacteristic for the steppe zone of Eurasia, allowed researchers to conclude that they were imported from other regions where they had been originally developed and canonized. There is a need for better predictive model that reduces the number of malicious URLs being sent through emails. This system should learn from existing metadata about URLs. The ideal solution for this problem would be able to learn from its predictions. For example, if it predicts a URL to be malicious, and that URL is deemed safe by the sandboxing environment, the predictor should refine its model to account for this data. The problem, then, is to construct a model with these characteristics that can make these predictions for the vast number of URLs being processed. Given that the current sy

This assumption has been based on the appearance of twenty-two fortified settlements, chariot burials, and intensified metal production. This thesis addresses the organisation of socio-economic life in the context of rapid social change. It does so by analysing people's livelihoods in 2000, and their implications for social differentiation in a large industrial city in the Urals region of Russia. It shows who the winners and losers in the reform process were and why opportunities to prosper were restricted to a small group. As a case study of one city, the thesis is limited, but it does indicate how the shift 'from plan to market' actually happened in ways not expected by reformers and how institutional failure was circumvented
