Abstract:
The availability of information related to the pattern of connectivity between coral reef is one of the key in coral reef conservation management. The identification of pattern of connectivity in the form of dispersion dynamics of coral larvae is very important as the development of coral reef itself is highly depended upon the external input, which this input must be accordingly managed in order to support the continuity of coral larvae supply. This research’s objectives are including to create the coral larvae dispersal model of Marine Protected Area (MPA) of Kapoposang. For instance, the modelling of coral larvae dispersal had been conducted using the biophysics modelling which combined the biological and physics factor in order to obtain the recruitment scenario and the traces of larvae dispersal. This simulation used coral larvae object with the Pelagic Larval Duration (PLD) for 30 days, the larvae release was conducted during the full moon and during the west and east monsoon. The result of the larvae dispersion model has indicated that the coral larvae dispersion process was influenced by the currents and variation of monsoons. Based coral connectivity pattern on Kapoposang found site Gondongbali, Kapoposang2, Suranti and Pamanggangang as a source. Then other location as sink by received larvae from other site are Gondongbali, Kapoposang, Pamanggangang, Taka Karangkarangang, Taka Pallawangang and Taka Palekko. Abstract:

Abstract:
Introduction: In Indonesia, there has been a 10% increase in the span of five years for exclusive breastfeeding, however this is still far from the national target. One of the factors that can cause low rates of national exclusive breastfeeding is that not all babies have received an early initiation of breastfeeding. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between early initiation of breastfeeding and exclusive breastfeeding for babies aged 7-12 months in the work area of Wiyung Public Health Center, Surabaya. Methods: This study was a quantitative research with a cross-sectional approach. The study used a questionnaire as the research instrument given to 30 respondents, namely mothers who had 7-12 month old babies in the work area of Wiyung Public Health Center, Surabaya. Results: The percentage of early initiation of breastfeeding in babies aged 7-12 months was 53.33% meanwhile the percentage of exclusive was 73.33%. Using Chi Square Fisher Exact Test, it was found that there is no relationship between early initiation of breastfeeding and exclusive breastfeeding for babies aged 7-12 months in the working area of the Wiyung Public Health Center in Surabaya. (The value of p = 0.574 with a value of α = 0.05, p>α). Conclusion: The early initiation of breastfeeding is not the only factor influencing exclusive breastfeeding for babies aged 7-12 months in the work area of the Wiyung Public Health Center in Surabaya. Further research is needed on other factors that can relate to and influence exclusive breastfeeding.

Abstract:
This study aims to assess the determinants of the labor market in the Greater Jakarta Area (Jabodetabek) with a population of 27.9 million (2010 census) and growth rate of 3.6 percent per annum over the period 2000-2010. With a total area of 4,384 square kilometers (1,693 sq mi), the city has a very high population density of 14,464 people per square kilometer (37,460/ sq mi), while the metro area has a density of 4,383 people/sq km (11,353/sq mi). The paper employs the survival regression analysis by incorporating attributes of commuter, namely gender, age, distance, travel time, wages, stress, education level, double income households and home ownership. The area consists of Jakarta as the receiving labor market and eight municipalities and regencies as labor suppliers. The study utilizes a cross-section data from a commuter survey with more than 4,000 respondents participated using different modes of land transport. The results reveal that some determinants have influenced commuters' resiliency and their willingness to participate in the receiving labor market. This study found that gender, distance, wages and home ownership do not affect the respondent’s decision whether to stay or quit as commuters. On the other hand, the fittest model exhibits that age, education level, stress, travel time and double income households have significant effects on individual's decision to stay or quit as a commuter. It is found that gender, distance, wages and home ownership do not matter for respondent’s decision on whether to stay or to quit as commuters. The model exhibits that age, education level, stress, travel time and double-income household have significant effects on an individual's decision to stay or quit as a commuter. Education level has a positive effect; on the other hand, age, stress, double-income household and travel time have a negative effect. The policy implications for improving the labor supply provision and some contested policy options are suggested, such as the provision of affordable housing in Jakarta, the improvement of commuting enjoyment, the establishment of child care facilities in the office buildings and the creation of more sophisticated jobs within the Jakarta’s surrounding municipalities and regencies.

Abstract:
Floristic check-lists were compiled for the first time for Duvefjorden Bay on Nordaustlandet, Svalbard, based on field work in July 2012 and on data from literature and herbaria. The check-lists include 172 species of lichens and 51 species of vascular plants. Several species rare in Svalbard and in the Arctic were discovered: Candelariella borealis was new to Svalbard. 51 lichen species were newly recorded on Nordaustlandet and 131 lichen species were observed in the Duvefjorden area for the first time. Among lichen species rare in Svalbard and in the Arctic the following can be mentioned: Caloplaca magni-filii, C. nivalis, Lecidea silacea, Phaeophyscia nigricans, Polyblastia gothica, Protothelenella sphinctrinoidella, Rinodina conradii, Stenia geophana, and Tetramelas pulverulentus. Two species of vascular plants, Saxifraga svalbardensis and S. hyperborea, were found new to the Duvefjorden area. The investigated flora is represented mostly by species widespread in Svalbard and in the Arctic. Although Duvefjorden area is situated in the northernmost part of Svalbard, its flora is characterized by relatively high diversity of vascular plants and lichens. Apparently this is due to the influence of the warm North Atlantic Current.

Abstract:
Hungary’s great cormorant stock did not use to be a considerable one before the 1980s. After that, their number has been rising significantly. The size of the stock now is rather stagnating or slightly growing. The presence of cormorants has been significant around ponds of the Hortobágy Fish Farm in the past few years. Due to considerable fish consumption of cormorants it is essential to know which and what kinds of units of the ponds (spawning, supply, and market) are preferred by the birds in order to see to adequate protection. The aim of our research was to discover any differences in the number of cormorants present at particular units of the fishpond system and certain ponds of equal kinds within them. Our observations were in line with the methods used in ornithological researches. The experiment took place between April and October 2012 on a monthly basis. According to the results we found relevant differences in the number of cormorants based on the seasons and months as well. This fact was supported by statistical data. During the autumn and winter birds prefer supply and market purpose ponds while their presence here is vanishing during the summer. Relevant presence of cormorants around the area of the Old Fishponds (70 to 200 specimens) might be due to lack of disturbance and large sizes of the ponds. Our research has great scientific relevance since it is vital to be aware of the preferred periods and areas in order to maintain effective protection; this way alerting activities can be applied in a more harmonized way. By keeping our research up as a monitoring activity, we will be able to receive more precise data later on.

Abstract:
A pilot teleradiology project was established for the medical service providers at the Pohakuloa Training Area (PTA) in Hawaii. It connected them with radiologists at Tripler Army Medical Center (TAMC) on the island of Oahu, approximately 400 km away. This involved changing the standard practice of sending soldiers from the PTA to a civilian hospital in Hilo for radiographs. These emergency trips to Hilo, 55 km away, were expensive, manpower intensive, and dangerous due to road and weather conditions. During 51 days of a training exercise involving 2600 personnel, 29 evacuations were avoided, which would have cost $36,569 in total. The expected savings during one year of training were $176,540. The cost of teleradiology during the first year, including the cost of the equipment, was $167,203. Over five years, the costs and savings were estimated to be $349,940 and $882,700, respectively.

Abstract:
This paper proposes an automatic approach for residential areas revision by means of analysing the correlation between the residential area and the topographic and geographical factors. The approach consists of four major steps: the extracting of missing residential area from the remote sensing images with high resolution; the statistic analysing on the size changes of missing residential area in each grade of the elevation, slope, distance from the road and other impact factors; modelling of residential area modification in the urban and rural region; testing the methods using 100 counties data which are located in the middle part of China North-South Seismic Belt and comparing the result to the Land Use in map scale 1:100000. The experimental results present the accuracy of urban residents by 70% increased to 89.4%, rural residents by 47% up to 81.9%, rural residents from 8% increased to 78.5%. Therefore, there is available risk exposure information in a sparsely populated area because the spatial grid distributions of population and buildings are based on the residential areas. The proposed approach in this paper will improve the accuracy of the seismic risk assessment if it is applied to the national or the whole world.

Abstract:
AbstractAlthough head and neck cancers have a rising incidence, these diseases are less investigated because of their localisations’ heterogenity. The major risk factors susceptible to influence the evolution of the disease are smoking, alcohol consumption and infection with human papilloma virus. Using data from Mures County Emergency Hospital’s histopathology register, we made a retrospective study of 190 cases from the last two years. Factors of interest included age, sex, localization, histopathological subtype and differentiation grade. Median age at diagnosis was 61.31 years, the disease presenting highest incidence in the 51-60 age subgroup and a clear male predominance (5.75:1). The most frequent localization is lower lip (28%) and the dominant histopathological subtype is cheratinised squamous cell carcinoma (83,8%) and G2 differentiation grade (48,1%). This study supports the finding of increased incidence of cheratinised squamous cell carcinoma in this region. However the literature emphasizes rising incidence of head and neck cancer in younger, we observed that increase in Mures area occurred in 51-60 age group. Lower lip most frequent localization makes possible an early diagnosis.

Abstract:
A floristic survey was conducted in eighteen areas in the municipalities of Itacuruba and Floresta, Pernambuco, northeast Brazil. The objective was to investigate if the species richness of terrestrial plant species of the Caatinga is affected by grazing intensity. Eighteen 20x20 m2 plot were established in areas of low grazing intensity (9), and areas with high grazing intensity (9). We recorded 136 species belonging to 97 genera and 43 families. The most species-rich families were Poaceae (14), Fabaceae (13), and Asteraceae (11). The most species-rich genera were Aristida (Poaceae), Sida (Malvaceae) and Ipomoea (Convolvulaceae). The number of species in each study area (Itacuruba and Floresta) varied according to the distribution of the precipitation, the soil types, the land-use history type, and the actual land-use. Areas with a low grazing pressure show a higher species richness of plant species than areas with higher grazing intensity.

Abstract:
Previous evidence has shown that sympathetic nerve responses to insular cortical (IC) stimulation are mediated by synapses within the lateral hypothalamic area (LHA) and ventrolateral medulla. The present study determined the receptor(s) involved at the synapse in the LHA associated with stimulation-evoked IC sympathetic responses. Twenty-seven male Wistar rats were instrumented for renal nerve activity, arterial pressure, and heart rate recording. The right IC was stimulated with a bipolar electrode (200–1,000 μA, 2 ms, 0.8 Hz) resulting in sympathetic nerve responses. Antagonists were then pressure injected into the ipsilateral LHA (300–500 nl). Kynurenate (250 mM) injections resulted in 51 ± 8% (range 0–100%) block of IC-stimulated sympathetic nerve responses. Similarly, the N-methyl-d-aspartic acid (NMDA)-receptor antagonistdl-2-amino-5-phosphonopentanoic acid (200 μM) resulted in an inhibition (82 ± 8%; range 51–100%) of IC-stimulated sympathetic responses. Injection of the non-NMDA antagonist 6-cyano-7-nitroquinoxaline-2,3-dione (200 μM) had no effect on IC sympathetic responses. Injection of antagonists to GABA, acetylcholine, and adrenergic receptors was also without effect. No antagonist injections had any effects on baseline sympathetic nerve discharge, arterial pressure, or heart rate. These results suggest that the IC autonomic efferents projecting to the LHA utilize NMDA glutamatergic receptors.

Abstract:
The functioning of Uzbekistan’s economy is closely linked to the water resources of its huge cross-border rivers: the Amu Darya and the Syr Darya, as well as to the groundwater present within their basins. Both natural lakes and artificial reservoirs (e.g. the Aydar-Arnasay system of lakes, the Kayrakkum Reservoir, the Chardarya Reservoir) are present there, which retain significant amounts of water, and large canals with lengths of up to several hundred kilometres which involve complex hydraulic structures are used for irrigation purposes. All these are components of a water management system which needs optimisation; as much as 80% of agricultural land is irrigated, with 70% of the water being lost due to inefficient irrigation systems. The consequence of this allocation of river flows and the overuse of water in irrigation systems has been the disappearance of the Aral Sea (1960 year – 68,900 km2, 2017 year – 8,600 km2) and the inflow of water into the Sarygamysh Lake as well as the reduction of Uzbekistan’s groundwater resources by about 40%. The intensive development of irrigated agriculture is associated with changes in surface and groundwater quality caused, inter alia, by the increased use of chemicals in agriculture and the discharge of collector-drainage waters into river systems as well as their reuse. The extent of environmental degradation in some areas (especially in the Aral Sea region) is unique on a global scale. The origins of Uzbekistan’s other hydrological tourist attractions are related to attempts to ensure the availability of water for both human consumption and industrial use under conditions of water scarcity in the country’s arid and semi-arid climates. Not just the spectacular watercourses and water bodies present there (e.g. rivers, lakes, canals), but also small water retention facilities and minor infrastructure elements (e.g. wells, springs and retention basins, canals, ditches and flow control structures) are of potential tourist importance.

Abstract. A total of 10,147 female goats from Burkina Faso were scored for 7 body measures and 12 qualitative traits. Sampling included the three main environmental areas and goat breeds of Burkina Faso: the Sahel area (Sahelian goat), the Sudan-Sahel area (Mossi goat) and the Sudan area (Djallonké goat). Overall, the Sahelian goat had the highest values for the all the analysed body measures. Differences between the Sudan and the Sudan-Sahel goat were little. The Burkina Faso goat is mainly spotted (61.92 %) with horns type “Spanish Ibex” (84.05 %), frequent absence of beard (75.33 %) and wattles (70.92 %) and poorly developed udder (73.72 %). The Sahelian population included most individuals with dropping (95.60 %) and curled (73.62 %) ears, whilst most Sudan-Sahel individuals had horizontal ears (73.14 %) and most Sudan individuals had vertical ears (97.88 %). The largest Mahalanobis distance was found between the Sahelian and Sudan areas (7.50) whilst the Sudan and the Sudan-Sahel populations were poorly differentiated (1.15). Discriminant analysis showed that most Sahel and Sudan-Sahel individuals were classified into their source population (79.29 % and 82.69 %) whilst the Sudan individuals (93.40 %) were classified as Sudan-Sahel individuals. Both the canonical and the correspondence analyses showed that the Sahelian and Sudan individuals tended to cluster separately whilst the Sudan-Sahel individuals showed an intermediate distribution but clearly biased toward the Sudan individuals. The Sudan-Sahel (Mossi) population can be considered a result from the genetic contact between Sahelians and Sudan goats.

Abstract:
This research aims to study the alteration of spatial pollution compounds to the eutrophication phenomenon in water resources during the COVID-19 situation. Sixteen water resources were monitored to examine the impact of spatial pollution compound on eutrophication phenomenon discovered from the activities of the Valaya Alongkorn Rajabhat University under the Royal Patronage. The analytical parameters were DO, nitrite (NO2-), nitrate (NO3-), ammonia (NH3), phosphate (PO4-), and Total kjeldahl nitrogen (TKN) collected in three months (November 2020, January 2021, and March 2021). This research has presented the differences in water resource characters in three months and the positive impact of the COVID-19 lockdown on wastewater. The total nitrogen was highest in November 2020 when compared with that of in January and March 2021 because it was a ‘normal situation’ (no lockdown) in November. The student, officer, lecturer, and government visitors came to use the facilities of the university. The results of total kjeldahl nitrogen showed a high range during the working period. The effect of P was higher on the water bodies in November than January and March because in November was a normal situation (no lockdown). The N:P ratio showed different trends to the eutrophication phenomenon with nitrogen and phosphate. Therefore, a comparison between a situation with lockdown and no lockdown showed that the lockdown situation was environment friendly. Finally, the results also confirm an improvement in environmental quality, which happened when humans were absent, especially in coronavirus circumstances.

Abstract:
Abstract. Soil erosion has detrimental impacts on socio economic life, thus increasing poverty. This situation is aggravated by poor planning and lack of infrastructure especially in developing countries. In these countries, efforts to planning are challenged by lack of data. Alternative approaches that use remote sensing and geographical information systems are therefore needed to provide decision makers with the so much needed information for planning purposes. This helps to curb the detrimental impacts of soil erosion, mostly emanating from varied land use conditions. This study was carried out in the city of Kinshasa, the Democratic Republic of Congo with the aim of using alternative sources of data, based on earth observation resources, to determine the spatial distribution of soil loss and erosion hazard in the city of Kinshasa. A combined approach based on remote sensing skills and rational equation of soil erosion estimation was used. Soil erosion factors, including rainfall-runoff erosivity R), soil erodibility (K), slope steepness and length (SL), crop/vegetation and management (C) were calculated for the city of Kinshasa. Results show that soil loss in Kinshasa ranges from 0 to 20 t ha−1 yr−1. Most of the south part of the urban area were prone to erosion. From the total area of Kinshasa (996 500 ha), 25 013 ha (2.3 %) is of very high ( > 15 t ha−1 yr−1) risk of soil erosion. Urban areas consist of 4.3 % of the area with very high ( > 15 t ha−1 yr−1) risk of soil erosion compared to a very high risk of 2.3 % ( > 15 t ha−1 yr−1) in the rural area. The study shows that the soil loss in the study area is mostly driven by slope, elevation, and informal settlements.

Objective. To analyze the spectrum of sexually transmitted infections (Chlamydia trachomatis, Trichomonas vaginalis, Mycoplasma genitalium, and Neisseria gonorrhoeae) in patients with different clinical variants of localized scleroderma (LS) and scleroatrophic lesions in the anogenital area. Patients and methods. We examined 104 patients diagnosed with LS (including guttate morphea, linear scleroderma, scleroatrophic lichen, and atrophoderma of Pasini and Pierini) in V.A.Rakhmanov Clinic of Skin and Venereal Diseases. After clinical and morphological phenotyping, we selected 62 patients (17.7% of males and 82.3% of females) with scleroatrophic lesions in the anogenital area. All patients were tested for sexually transmitted infections, including Human papillomavirus (HPV) (high-risk types 16, 18, 31, 33, 35, 39, 45, 51, 52, 56, 58, 59, and 68) and herpes simplex virus type 1 and 2 (HSV1/2) using polymerase chain reaction. Results. We found that 71% of patients with scleroatrophic lesions in the anogenital area had chronic infections, including those caused by Chlamydia trachomatis (29.5%), Trichomonas vaginalis (15.9%), Mycoplasma genitalium (13.6%), and Neisseria gonorrhoeae (2.3%). In 38.6% of cases, the development of scleroatrophic lesions was associated with bacterial vaginosis. One-third of patients (33.8%) were found to have high-risk HPV strains (type 16, 18, 31, 33, 35, 39, 45, 51, 52, 56, 58, 59, and 68) and HSV 1/2. Conclusion. In our opinion, anogenital location of LS can be a marker of chronic infections of the genitourinary system; such patients should be tested for sexually transmitted infections. Abstract:
Standalone power systems have vital importance as energy source for remote area. On the other hand, a significant portion of such power production is used for cooling purposes. In this scenario, renewable energy sources provide sustainable solution, especially solar energy due to its global availability. Concentrated photovoltaic (CPV) system provides highest efficiency photovoltaic technology, which can operate at x1000 concentration ratio. However, such high concentration ratio requires heat dissipation from the cell area to maintain optimum temperature. This paper discusses the size optimization algorithm of sustainable cooling system using CPVT. Based upon the CPV which is operating at x1000 concentration with back plate liquid cooling, the CPVT system size is optimized to drive a hybrid mechanical vapor compression (MVC) chiller and adsorption chiller, by utilizing both electricity and heat obtained from the solar system. The electrolysis based hydrogen is used as primary energy storage system along with the hot water storage tanks. The micro genetic algorithm (micro-GA) based optimization algorithm is developed to find the optimum size of each component of CPVT-Cooling system with uninterrupted power supply and minimum cost, according to the developed operational strategy. The hybrid system is operated with solar energy system efficiency of 71%.

AbstractObjective:To develop a regional antibiogram within the Chicagoland metropolitan area and to compare regional susceptibilities against individual hospitals within the area and national surveillance data.Design:Multicenter retrospective analysis of antimicrobial susceptibility data from 2017 and comparison to local institutions and national surveillance data.Setting and participants:The analysis included 51 hospitals from the Chicago–Naperville–Elgin Metropolitan Statistical Area within the state of Illinois. Overall, 18 individual collaborator hospitals provided antibiograms for analysis, and data from 33 hospitals were provided in aggregate by the Becton Dickinson Insights Research Database. Methods:All available antibiogram data from calendar year 2017 were combined to generate the regional antibiogram. The final Chicagoland antibiogram was then compared internally to collaborators and externally to national surveillance data to assess its applicability and utility. Results:In total, 167,394 gram-positive, gram-negative, fungal, and mycobacterial isolates were collated to create a composite regional antibiogram. The regional data represented the local institutions well, with 96% of the collaborating institutions falling within ±2 standard deviations of the regional mean. The regional antibiogram was able to include 4–5-fold more gram-positive and -negative species with ≥30 isolates than the median reported by local institutions. Against national surveillance data, 18.6% of assessed pathogen–antibiotic combinations crossed prespecified clinical thresholds for disparity in susceptibility rates, with notable trends for resistant gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. Conclusions:Developing an accurate, reliable regional antibiogram is feasible, even in one of the largest metropolitan areas in the United States. The biogram is useful in assessing susceptibilities to less commonly encountered organisms and providing clinicians a more accurate representation of local antimicrobial resistance rates compared to national surveillance databases.

Abstract:
Consumers’ attitude holds central focus in mainstream research in marketing, with abundant research on consumers’ attitude towards digital and online advertisements. Yet, there is scarce research on local area cable advertisements of small businesses. This paper aims to examine the determinants of consumers’ attitude towards advertisements of local area cable networks. Primary quantitative data from 300 viewers of local area cable channels located in Lahore, Pakistan was collected to examine the hypotheses. Our findings suggest that entertainment and credibility are positively associated with the consumers’ attitude towards local cable advertisements. However, ad perception does not show any significant relation with consumers’ attitude towards local cable advertisements. These results have significant implications for small businesses in crafting effective promotional policies and strategies for approaching their target consumers. By focusing on the entertainment and credibility factor, small businesses can also position their brands in limited budget.

Abstract We studied the hydrobiochemical balance of total mercury (THg) in a forest ecosystem covering an area affected by mining activity in the past (14th – 18th cent.) in the Kremnické vrchy Mts. (central Slovakia). A reference plot was located in an undisturbed area very close to primeval forest of Badínsky prales natural reserve. We analysed THg in bulk precipitation, throughfall, litterfall, forest floor percolate, forest soil and assimilatory organs of tree species. Results pointed out to high wet mercury deposition at both plots (51 μg·m−2·yr−1 an area near a cinnabar mining (MP1) and 37 μg·m−2·yr−1, in a reference catchment area near the protected primary forest (MP2)) as well as high THg deposition by throughfall (74 μg·m−2·yr−1 and 51 μg·m−2·yr−1, respectively in MP1 and MP2). Litterfall does not represent the main THg flux into forest soil but together with throughfall doubles the THg input compared to open space deposition. Forest ecosystem has ability to capture atmospheric Hg and thus makes new sources of mercury inputs (throughfall and litterfall) into soil.

Adult collections were performed using Prokopack aspirators (indoors) and human-landing mosquito catches (HLC) outdoors, and larval sites (artificial containers) were revised for larvae collection. A total of 259 Aedes albopictus were collected, 246 from artificial larval sites, 8 by indoor aspiration, and 5 by HLC. This is the first record of Ae. albopictus in Merida, Yucatan, Mexico.
