In underground industries, practitioners frequently employ argots to communicate discreetly and evade surveillance by investigative agencies. Proposing an innovative approach using word vectors and large language models, we aim to decipher and understand the myriad of argots in these industries, providing crucial technical support for law enforcement to detect and combat illicit activities. Specifically, positional differences in semantic space distinguish argots, and pre-trained language models’ corpora are crucial for interpreting them. Abstract This paper evaluates various methods for adjusting the degree of oxidation in arc-sprayed layers. Oxidation control is primarily achieved through the use of a nonoxidizing gas, such as argon or nitrogen, especially in combination with a fine nozzle. In the case of Ni18Cr6Al2Mn deposits, the measured oxide content varied from 0.85 to 3.41 wt% based on the atomizing gas, nozzle, and stand-off distance used. Abstract This work investigates the influence of powder characteristics on thermal spray coatings produced from titanium suboxide powders. The powders used were prepared from commercially fused and ground titanium dioxide reduced in a mixture of hydrogen and argon gas. Two particle sizes were produced and subsequently applied by atmospheric plasma and HVOF spraying. Originally melted and crushed powder fractions served as a reference. All deposits showed high wear resistance, particularly the HVOF-sprayed layers. Paper includes a German-language abstract.

Abstract A numerical model of an argon jet exiting a LPPS torch has been developed and validated against enthalpy probe measurements for a slightly overexpanded jet at a chamber pressure of 100 mbar. Visualization of the jet using a CCD camera shows the presence of a small Mach reflection in the first compression-expansion cell with only oblique shock waves in the second cell. This jet topology is also observed in the model results. The images of the enthalpy probe on the axis of the plasma jet reveal that the shock layer, or shock-probe distance, varies according to the axial location of the

Abstract This paper is devoted to the investigation of the dynamics of the plasma jet, which is produced by a subsonic DC spray torch operated with an argon-helium mixture as the plasma gas. It focuses on studying the effect of some parameters which influence the arc attachment inside the anode nozzle. For this purpose, the paper uses different means of gas injection, that is straight flow injection and vortex flow injection, and anodes which have experienced different degree of wear. A heavily eroded anode is characterized by large voltage fluctuations at relatively low frequencies, while str
