Karikaturen gehören zu den persuasiven Bildsorten, die pointierte, parteiische, oft überzeichnende oder humorvolle Stellungnahmen präsentieren. Sie gelten als semiotisch komplex, ihre Analyse setzt daher die Berücksichtigung verschiedener Kodes voraus. Der folgende Beitrag verfolgt das Ziel, anhand konkreter Beispiele zu zeigen, inwieweit sich Kategorien der Argumentationsanalyse sinnvoll auch auf Karikaturen übertragen lassen.

Abstract:

In this article, the author presents some fundamentals of a modular linguistic approach to argumentation. Argumentation is seen as a matter of interpretation, and since interpretation phenomena depend on linguistic material as well as on context in the broad sense, genuine linguistic theory should be an integrated part of argumentation theory. A linguistic approach to argumentation should adopt instructional semantics as opposed to representational semantics and argumentative (discourse dynamic) seman-tics as opposed to referential semantics. In view of the high complexity of argumentation phenomena, rigour can be obtained only in a strictly modular approach. After a brief overview of the global approach, the author lays down some fundamental metho-dological and theoretical principles for modular studies. He then introduces three modules taking care of Lexical Semantics (the Topos Theory), Polyphony and Argu-mentative Functors. The three mini-theories involved are all inspired by the Theory of Argumentation in Language developed by the French linguists Oswald Ducrot and Jean-Claude Anscombre. Two recommendations for practitioners are formulated as conclusion: “To be efficient, use the right linguistic forms and structures!” and “To choose efficient forms, keep your eye on the purpose!”

Abstract:

Eine wachsende Zahl von Jugendlichen hat Schwierigkeiten beim Einstieg in Ausbildung und Arbeitsmarkt, wodurch auch die gesellschaftliche Integrationsfunktion des Berufsbildungssystems geschwächt wird. Case Management Berufsbildung (CMBB) soll hier Abhilfe schaffen. Eine Argumentationsanalyse der entsprechenden Konzepte zeigt, dass CMBB in erster Linie mit sozialpolitischen Problemlagen sowie dem Hinweis auf Kapazitätsprobleme und Dysfunktionalitäten des Berufsbildungssystems begründet wird. Darüber hinaus ist die über CMBB vollzogene Subjektivierung der Berufsbildung im Kontext der Transformation der Erwerbsarbeit zu verstehen, da diese die Voraussetzungen gesellschaftlicher Integration grundlegend verändert. Notwendig ist daher auch ein erweitertes Verständnis der Übergangsproblematik.

Abstract:

Im vorliegenden Aufsatz richte ich mein Augenmerk auf inhaltliche Argumentationsstrategien in den Werbeslogans. Die Grundlage meiner empirischen Untersuchung bildet die am 7. Dezember 2021 von der Berliner Werbeagentur Antoni gestartete Werbekampagne, in deren Verlauf zahlreiche Firmen und Institutionen unter dem Hashtag #ZusammenGegenCorona auf Social-Media-Kanälen und Internetplattformen mit ihren modifizierten Slogans zum Impfen aufriefen. Ich beginne mit einer theoretischen Reflexion über Werbung und Werbesprache sowie über den Slogan. Im Weiteren erläutere ich die Untersuchungsmethode. Ausgehend von der Argumentationslehre, präsentiere ich die Klassifikation von inhaltlichen Strategien der Argumentation, die von Janich (2013) zusammengestellt wurde und die Basis für meine Analysen bildet. Anschließend identifiziere ich die Argumentationsstrategien im ausgewählten Korpus, wobei die entsprechend modellierten Markenslogans der Impfkampagne im Mittelpunkt meines Interesses stehen. Die durchgeführte Argumentationsanalyse zeigt, dass die Art und Weise der Slogangestaltung eine besondere Aussagekraft hat, die über den reinen Inhalt hinausgeht, sich bestimmter persuasiv angelegter Botschaften bedient und in den sozialen Kontext eingebettet ist.

Abstract:

The paper analyzes the reporting and the image of Serbia in the articles of the German magazine DER SPIEGEL, which thematize the NATO bombing of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia in 1999 from the aspects of linguistic discourse analysis. The paper is theoretically based on the analysis of argumentative patterns or topos, established by the German linguist Wengeler (2007). The goal of topos analysis is the reconstruction of standardized knowledge, hence the empirical part determined what kind of knowledge or the arguments of certain positions are constructed in the selected speech community. Through the performed analysis, two lines of argumentation were established within the framework of the research question: the image of Serbia as the culprit for the NATO bombing and as the victim of aggression. The results of the corpus analysis are presented qualitatively, as well.

Abstract:

Um Textpassagen in Bezug auf ihre argumentative Funktion zu untersuchen, braucht man geeignete Werkzeuge, die als argumentative Indikatoren verstanden werden können. Ihre Rolle als wirksames Mittel der Argumentationsanalyse wurde in einigen Beiträgen beschrieben. Allerdings ist die Frage, ob sie in verschiedenen Sprachen anwendbar sind, noch nicht beantwortet. Nach der Pragma-Dialektik kann jede Argumentation auf ein bestimmtes Argumentationsschema zurückgeführt werden. Darum kann die Argumentation auf einer Analogie, einem Kausalverhältnis und einem symptomatischen Verhältnis beruhen. Darüber hinaus gibt es typische Argumentationsschemata, die angewendet werden können, um festzustellen, welche Art von Argument verwendet wird. Im Mittelpunkt dieser Arbeit steht die Zusammenstellung von Indikatoren für drei Argumentationsschemata. So wird versucht, auf der Grundlage der Analyse von Interviews zu bestimmen, welche Wörter und Phrasen für die Identifizierung der Art der Argumentation nützlich sein können.Argumentative indicators in German, Polish and English interviews. Attempt of a comparative analysis according to the pragma-dialectical typology of the argumentation schemesTo examine passages of text in terms of its argumentative function one needs appropriate tools understood as argumentative indicators. Their role as an effective means of the argumentation analysis has been described in some contributions. However, the question if they are applicable in different languages, has not been answered yet. According to the pragma-dialectics every argumentation can be attributed to a specific argumentation scheme. Therefore, argumentation can be based on: a relation of analogy, a causal relation and a symptomatic relation. Furthermore, there are typical argumentative models that can be applied in order to determine what type of argument is used. The focus of this paper is to compile indicators of three argumentation schemes. Thus, it is attempted to determine on the basis of the analysis of interviews, which words and phrases can be useful for identifying the type of argumentation.
